I recently found your channel and being a New Zealand born Indian, I can not speak to any Hindi without sounding like an NRI (non-resident of India). My parents haven't been big on the Hindi lessons so I just pick up phrases said around the house, but whenever I'm in India and I start talking to anyone, they will immediatly know I'm not from India and I cannot respond back to them. So thank you for making this channel for people like me, trying to understand their roots and having a fun time doing so. AND a Kiwi is documenting this journey, I cannot be prouder of our little nation.

I have been watching so many of your videos recently, this was a find! I work in the airline industry and Indian flights are always a bit challenging when someone like me is not used to the culture. I always try to be polite and respectful, that's my rule of thumb, but I like to try and go the extra mile for our guests, so I will definitely take this language tips for my next flight and use them not only onboard but also when I get the chance to go out and explore Delhi and other places. Your videos also gave me more confidence to travel inside Delhi, after so many horror stories from colleagues. Thank you so much for your amazing content and maybe one day I will be able to greet you in Hindi in the streets of Delhi!

Whenever I visited India, specifically around Mumbai, or was just with family, I always noticed that everyone barely greeted each other with 'namaste' unless they were being very, very formal. Normally I observed them use 'namashkar' instead.
