My brother had 3 80's Buick Regal cars and all 3 had 2.41 gears a 82 Buick Regal t top somerset limited,a 85 Buick Regal Factory V8 305 sbc, and a V6 86 Buick Regal limited the 82 somerset had a 4.1 litre Buick 252v6
I had a 79 Camaro once. Berlinetta. Brown. 305 2bl. Not sexy or fast, but it was comfy and handled well. But I also had a 68 Charger at the time, and THAT was my baby!
MORTSKE MONADAY!!! Bought a fresh repaint '78 Type LT (about same color) rust free, STRAIGHT, new stout SBC, TH350 when I was 21. Cruise, A/C, rear defrost, power everything....it ALL WORKED. Great stereo system too. Got married, it was too loud for my Wife. Sold it for $2000 with $1000 worth of trim/interior in the back seat. Could sell the 🛞 for that now! Super RELIABLE ride, sooo many srories with that car. 👌 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 Even had the MULLET to go with it!!!
Your getting better , this one runs ,and not too bad , its got nice wheels and tires matching paint , some still wet from the paint shop. You can take it places and drive like a madman , gravel pits , abandoned air fields ,any place you know the police can't or won't go , just imagine the possibilities !!! . And best of all the doors wont fall off , or open . Thanks for the video , it was a laugh all the way through . Mortske you are the man , salutations from Stuart in Canada ..
I was surprised that the floor is that solid. With the missing T tops I was expecting the Fred Flintstone special but I really don’t see much if any rust through.
You and Puddin (I'll throw in Derek with VGG and Kevin with Junkyard Digs) really have a knack for finding vehicles that look like they are late getting to the crusher and making them run, drive, and look worth saving! Thanks for saving another one...
This has to be Mort's most amazing will it run. I couldn't believe anyone would want this car. Interior filthy, and totally ruined. But some vacuuming, spray paint, and welded doors got it back on the road. It's worth buying and fixing up now.
And my comment comes when you pulled the pumpkin cover off.. I actually cannot believe there's a gasket there and the brand new diff fluid.. I'm just amazed about that. Well, at least it'll go 80 on the highway! Oh well..
This car should be restored !! Back in 60/70's, USA were the kings of beautiful & amazing cars. It is a part of American culture. Sound, design, engine,... these old cars (Charger, Camaro, Challenger, Mustang, etc...) are a dream, a real dream. Hope to win loto someday to buy one of these monster cars!❤ Greetings from France Mortske.
My sister in law bought a brand new 79 Berlinneta. T tops, loaded car. Light brown mettalic paint. It was a very nice car! A great freeway cruiser. I remember its brand new car smell! Lol.
I'm trying to imagine the look on my sweet wife's face if I pulled this one into my driveway; it would be epic. Glad you shared how you got that home after it died on you & that you made it back in one piece!
This one was extra good!! Welded doors, and the dialogue on the side of the road. Imagine driving by and not knowing who Mortske is. “She wakes up around 8800”. 😂
My sister bought a new 2 tone blue '79 rally sport with a 250 inline six, 3 speed stick on the floor. She loved it. It did real well for mileage on the highway too.
I REALLY miss Alley ways. Not one to be found since moving to OK in '95. But, mosquitos aren't the state bird here.... And hardly any rust. I actually live 20 miles from Puddin' now. Graduated from Devils Lake
Mornings with mortske on my way to haul an old clunker for someone. Had a 79 z28 traded the body for a 77 nova. Looks like this video was actually fun to make.
Thanks Mortske! It's virtually a fully restored race car now! I wonder how many people won't get the Barret Johnson joke, it's probably the same people that don't know who Chip Moose is!!!
The two wires on the window motor are both positive (hot) feeds. One makes it go up and other makes it go down. The motor gets grounded to the door through the mounting bolts. Ground the door and positive one wire at a time to make window move.
I had a 79 z28 5 speed with a nomad station wagon 327 in it, ttops, with red velvet flush interior, had vr60 Goodyear's on the back and zr 50 perrelis on the front with 5 slots! Best driving car I ever had! I loved that car! It was midnight bronze! Orginal was black!
Hi Mortski nice car 🚗 and video 📹 and workmanship but this one felt like something is wrong for the future was reading 📚 low got to make it more pride !!! Give it to Pudding 🍮 Give !!!! Like a window that has his Military look !!!
console- a surface or device with controls for electronic equipment, a vehicle, etc. council- a group of people elected or chosen to make decisions or give advice on a particular subject, to represent a particular group of people, or to run a particular organization. You're welcome. 😀
I'm pretty sure those back wheels are 4wd S10 steel wheels. They also have 5x4.75 bolt pattern. Love the videos, always learn something and get entertained!
I just bought a 1992 Ford police interceptor and I thought what a great car until the rear end locked up at 65 miles an hour. My life flashed my eyes and thank God the car went into a ditch almost flipping over but I didn't hurt anybody and that's what really matters. hey I like that mullet
I agree, this transmarobird is a great donor car. My only issue is.......I thought last year you mentioned using the old snootch rocket as a donor for that Ford vic shell you picked up. Just a thought. As always, great budget content. It's cool to see the Mortske empire expand into having "The Chin" and Mojo working with you and amassing the collection of garbage you love to work on. I always look forward to Mortske Monday.
Some people have know idea at what it takes to clean something like this out! I Know, anyway Thumbs Up Dude and always repeat repeat I truly mean It and will probably do it again and again, so be It, cause I Mean It, Thanks!... "YO" SHIN, Mo Joe, Duff!...
1980 16 yr old. Went to look at a 78 Z28. Sweet car. Did not fit me at all, cause I got that Sasquatch gene. So a 68 Plymouth Fury became the ride. Way smoother. and much more room for activities.
There's a reason I don't have my 79 Z28 anymore and it's the "Car and Concepts" T Top installation. Though I must say it was fun playing with a Right Hand driver imported into Australia. I used a 1979 Right Hand Drive Pontiac Trans Am Dash and wheel. I kind of miss it, but then I don't.
The flat belt/serpentine set ups show up in the Chev pickups in 85... 86 with the one-piece rear seal engines. A bit more digging into this one to figure out the actual motor... (casting numbers for blocks and heads) since the ADD prefix went no-where... runs pretty good for a parked machine though... keep it up
It is the most Camaro of all the Camaros... Just saw one the other day rolling down the street that blew my mind apart!!! Normally I'm not a fan of yellow cars... This one was an almost pastel dandelion yellow... but, it had this pearlescence to it to match it's dual white stripes... also pearly... It was a hot and shiny summer day... That thing looked like velveteen snake skin and bird wings in the sunshine... Real clean too... the lines were on point... Light pearl yellow with pearl racing stripes... 'twas a sight to behold...
wouldn't this one be a good candidate to body swap ... nevermind. Yeah, that. :) Part out the panels and retromod something else with a similar wheelbase. I love seeing old car bodies put on modern chassis.
YEE HAW! BUBBA MORTSKE! 😂😂 Nice paint work! You'd get at least $8,000 at Barrett Johnson. To really be fancy, a Sharpie works great for pin stripes (ask me how i know) 👍👍 Good job, Mort....we appreciate it!
On the driving on the steering column up underneath the desk you can use your neutral safety switch and started play unlock the steering as well as the shifter
Power steering pumps and v belts. Put it on, tighten it. Drive it tighten it hot, check tension again before the customer picks up...... adjust again when the customer returns two weeks later with a belt squeal. Just reminiscing, how about those thermal vacuum switches. 👍
The Minuteman missile carried the W59 800 kt. thermonuclear device in it's Mk5 reentry vehicle with a CEP of 1,200 yards - after travelling up to 15,000 miles. That's using late '50's technology too.

" IT WOULD BE A SHAME TO BUILD AN ENTIRE CAR JUST TO FIND OUT YOU DON'T FIT INTO IT ", LMFAO, POOR DAN.
This Camaro identifies as a Nomad.
I think he got pretty good cake for it so I don't think he's crying too bad.
I caught that too
But that was only a Canadian anomaly. Lol
😂😂
I didn't even know they made a 2.41. Might as well just bolt the wheels to the crankshaft.
Poor man's overdrive.
2.29's came factory in a lot of GM schlock from the 70s and 80s!
My 78 had 3.08, 179 hp and I believe a Borg- Warner 4 spd
My brother had 3 80's Buick Regal cars and all 3 had 2.41 gears a 82 Buick Regal t top somerset limited,a 85 Buick Regal Factory V8 305 sbc, and a V6 86 Buick Regal limited the 82 somerset had a 4.1 litre Buick 252v6

NICE, 68 Charger, I'm pretty much a Chevy guy but DAMN A 68 Charger, COOL.
Whatcha got there is a front suspension clip and rear axle for one of your street rods or pickups.
Keep it up, you're gonna give Dalton, Pole Barn Garage a run for the paint/body work trophy
I hope not!
I like roadside signage and historical markers. Any cool old roadside historical things like that boat is good content as far as i am concerned!
MORTSKE MONADAY!!!

Sold it for $2000 with $1000 worth of trim/interior in the back seat.
Could sell the 🛞 for that now!
Super RELIABLE ride, sooo many srories with that car. 👌
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Even had the MULLET to go with it!!!
You married the wrong woman. Couldn't ya just put MUFFLERS on it? Or HER?
Sorry I would have just got enough new muffler
They don't make a big enough muffler.
Im glad that you don't break glass! I hate to see TH-camrs breaking perfectly good glass when they didn't have to, someone could use that glass! 😅
That's a pretty sweet Trans Camaro Bird! At least you didn't ruin it by lowering it.
It was "ruint" before Mort got his hands on it.
Not yet!
"A hose job away from being ready for Barrett Johnson"
🤣🤣
Definitely A NO GO For Barrett Jackson HUH??😮
In 79 windshields we're still glued in with butyl, not urethane, come out pretty easy.
The King of Hot Garbage! No project too big for Sir Mortekis!
I sense a new Mortske motto right there!!
Your getting better , this one runs ,and not too bad , its got nice wheels and tires matching paint , some still wet from the paint shop. Thanks sir
That mullet flapping in the wind at the end of the video..
Had me cracking up😂
Thank for the content Mortske 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
It's so flat out there, if your dog runs off, you can still see him for 3 days. East Tennessee seems a world away. Come see the Appalachians!
Slap it on a 4 wheel drive frame, throw some plexiglass in it, and make it an off road toy...go full mullet...lol. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Right on
I was surprised that the floor is that solid. With the missing T tops I was expecting the Fred Flintstone special but I really don’t see much if any rust through.

Our pleasure

I can’t believe how well she cleaned up. What a great rig for almost free. I was nervous in the beginning.
And my comment comes when you pulled the pumpkin cover off.. I actually cannot believe there's a gasket there and the brand new diff fluid.. I'm just amazed about that. Well, at least it'll go 80 on the highway! Oh well..
Stuck in a cubicle, looking forward to watching this evening! Happy Muller Monday😂 Some Dirt Track Car Guy is drooling🤣
Saw a posting where a guy made up a temp water pump belt out of cable ties and it worked.
That Mullet an Camaro, just screams. "If you mess with me, you mess with the entire trailer park"
Lol
Was it just me, or did anyone else hear Jon Bon Jovi as soon as the mullet came alive? Thanks for the epic episode!
It's all the same, only the names will change.
Every day it seems we're wastin' away...
This car should be restored !!
Back in 60/70's, USA were the kings of beautiful & amazing cars.

Greetings from France Mortske.
Mortske monday is a great day! Thanks for another great mullet machine upload! Appreciate all your hard work sir!
That car doesn’t need a radio, you can hear “Jukebox Hero” whenever it’s in gear.
My sister in law bought a brand new 79 Berlinneta. T tops, loaded car. Light brown mettalic paint. It was a very nice car! A great freeway cruiser. I remember its brand new car smell! Lol.
Very cool!

Golly got us a 2nd gen mullet machine yee haw 🤘
Mornings with mortske on my way to haul an old clunker for someone. Had a 79 z28 traded the body for a 77 nova. Looks like this video was actually fun to make.
It just shows that a great mechanic can resurrect anything with anything
And Mort can too 🤣
Thanks Mortske! It's virtually a fully restored race car now! I wonder how many people won't get the Barret Johnson joke, it's probably the same people that don't know who Chip Moose is!!!
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
I had a 1981 Z28 Camaro wish I kept it and made it a split bumper clone...
The 1979 models were simplified, with a Sport Coupe, Rally Sport Coupe, Berlinetta and Z28. The ss was dropped in 1972 and reintroduced in 1996
The two wires on the window motor are both positive (hot) feeds. One makes it go up and other makes it go down. The motor gets grounded to the door through the mounting bolts. Ground the door and positive one wire at a time to make window move.
You killed me with the Barrett Johnson that was awesome almost spit my can good out.
Yea DD's Speedshop Ain't Got Nothing On Ole Mortaguss! Where's It Goin? YOU'RE GOIN NO WHERE!!🤔🫣
I had a 79 z28 5 speed with a nomad station wagon 327 in it, ttops, with red velvet flush interior, had vr60 Goodyear's on the back and zr 50 perrelis on the front with 5 slots! Best driving car I ever had! I loved that car! It was midnight bronze! Orginal was black!
Sweet
Awww sweet Diff,
He is such a good dog. He's a trooper. 👍
Duff
Poor boy has to deal with concrete pouring.
Bondo dust down the carb always helps with ring seal!
Lol
Vehicles may die... but the Mullet lives on. Love the show Mortske.
Mortske, Buddy, There's some cars you should just "Pass On"! 👊😎👍
Hi Mortski nice car 🚗 and video 📹 and workmanship but this one felt like something is wrong for the future was reading 📚 low got to make it more pride !!! Give it to Pudding 🍮 Give !!!! Like a window that has his Military look !!!
I love it when you fast forward, it makes the traffic outside sound like a Star Wars battle😎👍
I had one in the 90's. I kinda liked it. They handle good. They are picking up steam $$ See ya boss! Great vid as usual!
Right on
going to be patiently waiting on a video of that 1960 plymouth belvedere suburban
console- a surface or device with controls for electronic equipment, a vehicle, etc.

I'm pretty sure those back wheels are 4wd S10 steel wheels. They also have 5x4.75 bolt pattern. Love the videos, always learn something and get entertained!
Yup
Was born same month and year I was. Maybe you can add more to dirt Reynolds and have a better car.
I just bought a 1992 Ford police interceptor and I thought what a great car until the rear end locked up at 65 miles an hour. My life flashed my eyes and thank God the car went into a ditch almost flipping over but I didn't hurt anybody and that's what really matters. hey I like that mullet
Ouch
I’m not even halfway into this video but, I’m beginning to see a “Mortzke Mullet Moment “ coming up!!😂😂😂
Good to see the mullet come back. The camper run is what got me hooked. Carry on you Clarke Kent monster.
You gotta pull the restrictor plate off!
But keep that on the down low...
Red dragon
My 1978 Type LT came with the 2.41 open rear. I installed a 3.42 limited slip. Best performance gain for the money spent ever!
Good to know
Where you at Leroy? Just drivin round the block ma! (Takes half a day to drive round the block) Enjoyed it!
I agree, this transmarobird is a great donor car. My only issue is.......I thought last year you mentioned using the old snootch rocket as a donor for that Ford vic shell you picked up. Just a thought.

Thanks 👍
Love the slow motion mouse house eviction notice for the best thee country has to offer!
If I don't see the mullet and sunglasses I'm gonna be upset...
Reminds me on the McRib lady!
1980 16 yr old. Went to look at a 78 Z28. Sweet car. Did not fit me at all, cause I got that Sasquatch gene. So a 68 Plymouth Fury became the ride. Way smoother. and much more room for activities.
Camaro???? Man you are right up there with DD's Speed Shop.
Poor Mortske, this feller puts his heart into these, and still they occasionally bite him back for no good reason. Love your show.
Return of the mullet, and Puddin says you're always grumpy!
I do like seeing local Mortske minutes, I'm in the Canadian Prairies and do the same whenever I travel. Always interesting stuff.
Hey ! Hell yes! Its a Mortske Monday! YAY!!
The flat belt/serpentine set ups show up in the Chev pickups in 85... 86 with the one-piece rear seal engines. A bit more digging into this one to figure out the actual motor... (casting numbers for blocks and heads) since the ADD prefix went no-where... runs pretty good for a parked machine though... keep it up
Duff dog still looks so sharp from his SPA day!!!!!
Awesome !!! No starter , valve issues or stuck engine.
That's right!
OH NO, Another Camaro, no windows, no doors, no T-Tops is this one all rusted out too ?
I guess we will see, I hope not & HEREEE WEEE GOOOOO.
Thanks for the Safetying it up!!!!!!!! Arm swing!!!!!!
We need Mortske unburned!!!!!
It is the most Camaro of all the Camaros... Just saw one the other day rolling down the street that blew my mind apart!!! Normally I'm not a fan of yellow cars... Lol
Need a snatch block for that rollback. They are a lifesaver for getting a different pull angle to remove cars.
wouldn't this one be a good candidate to body swap ... nevermind. Yeah, that. :) Part out the panels and retromod something else with a similar wheelbase. I love seeing old car bodies put on modern chassis.
Thanks for another great Mortske Monday and everyone involved in bringing it to us! 🐾🍺
Thanks for the video Guys and Duff.
Hell yeah! Had a blue 79z28 Camaro in high school. Should’ve NEVER sold that car….
YEE HAW! BUBBA MORTSKE! 😂😂 Nice paint work! You'd get at least $8,000 at Barrett Johnson. To really be fancy, a Sharpie works great for pin stripes (ask me how i know) 👍👍 Good job, Mort....we appreciate it!
One great thing about that door install. It will never sag again
Monday Morning Mortske!!! Great start to my birthday!😁
On the driving on the steering column up underneath the desk you can use your neutral safety switch and started play unlock the steering as well as the shifter
Who is Barrett Johnson? 🤣 I know his buddy Barrett Jackson. That Berlinetta is sure ready for Barrett Johnson.
Yup
A running 350 and a posi rear end. Win!
Power steering pumps and v belts. Put it on, tighten it. Drive it tighten it hot, check tension again before the customer picks up...... adjust again when the customer returns two weeks later with a belt squeal.
Just reminiscing, how about those thermal vacuum switches. 👍
Ugh
The Minuteman missile carried the W59 800 kt. thermonuclear device in it's Mk5 reentry vehicle with a CEP of 1,200 yards - after travelling up to 15,000 miles. That's using late '50's technology too.
I am 100% positive Dalton at PBG needs this car!
Just gotta combine this fine piece of F-body with Dirt Reynolds.
I feel this is an accurate representation of 2nd Gen Camaro or Firebird ownership for everyone who didn’t buy one brand new.
Ah yes, Monday with Mortske, Duff riding shotgun. Perfect.
Well the Z28 should have a few identifying options. There should be a rear sway bar. Heavier duty leaf springs. And a strange identifying thing is a wicker style steering wheel. It might be a Berlinetta trim. That took the place of the earlier typeLT. The more luxury trim. And i wrote this before you decoded trim tag.
22:47 Makes me glad Chevrolet put a steel capillary tube in my 71 C10 for the oil pressure gauge!
Wahooooo, nothing better than a under 3k camara vid!! How would you fix this frame issue at leaf springs?
I bet every teenager in Oklahoma is drooling over this car.
Lol
Mortske 's content is always informative and interesting
