Sorry everyone, the giveaway for Northern Tool is going to be in a future video with the gift cards. My mistake! To offset it, I’ll ship out a gift card with some of my merch, so comment down below to win!
Dylan, those keystone wheels you took off the mustang are Keyston Rogues. Super duper rare, one piece molded magnesium chrome plated wheels. Favored by drag racers because of their very light weight. Looks like you have the complete set, clean them up and sell them to finance your next car project.
Thank you Northern Tool for getting behind and supporting Dylan. Very deserving of a sponsor like you. That is nice the Ford lives and will get a chance to cruise again.
Dylan, Dude, GREAT Video this week! You and Briar kept me chuckling and interested all the way through. Doesn't matter if it is a coupe or not, I have seen some in car shows that had the "Boss" stripe and somehow a rooftop spoiler similar to the MadMax (original Australian Falcon XB) movie car. Actually looked pretty cool. Keep up the good work!
THANK YOU NORTHERN TOOL FOR SUPPORTING DYLAN. I BEEN WATCHING HIM FOR PROBABLY 2 YEARS NOW AND THINK HE WILL BE A GREAT PARTNER FOR YOU. GREAT VIDEO DYLAN AS USUAL LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE.
Thank you northern tool. For supporting a great couple of guys having fun and saving cars. Thank you Dylan for the videos, you and the rest of the gang are fun to watch.
Excellent video Dylan :) , Bryer :) also did super fix up temporary on this 1970 Ford Mustang and cool got up to shop to fix up ! Also well done on driving to Bryer :) and got lots experience to !
This car sure doesn't give me that "Reunite on ice, that's nice" feeling...but it's still a 70 351W Mustang! My mom had a 70 Mach 1 with a 351C and a 4 speed manual.
I was only eight years old when that model of Mustang came out but I sure do remember because I remember thinking how pretty it was, they were sure something to behold when they were new 😎😎
hey y'all these are some cool 70's revivals best years for the american auto group so i have been starting taking short clips to display the parts and share on instagram and i thought the timestamp 40:46 is where to jump to for the birds and crickets thx buds happy highway ing
I really loved this video too, Dylan. Loved all the neat stuff you did to get this '70 Mustang running. And the drive to the shop was the icing on the cake. Thanks for another good video.
When I have to jack up a car in a field, I like to find a piece of wood or something to put under it because as the jack goes up, the wheels sink into the dirt and the lift arm pulls forward and can slide right off of where you had it braced. With the woo, the wheels of the jack roll under the vehicle as it lifts.
Love this year of mustang and always LOVE your videos Dylan!! Briar looked like he was having more fun than he should have when driving a car with no brakes no park and just drive gears lol!!
I don't know how much you plan on fixing up that Mustang but for semi-permanent repairs use self tappers and secure some license plates or sheet metal to the floors and you are golden. Well you might want to wire wheel those floor pans, rust convert them before you put down new sheet metal also seam seal them and paint. You don't want Brier to fall through the floor.
Congratulations Dylan on the start of the Mustang. Brair is great side kick and helper. Look forward to where this project goes. Thank you for sharing. 💯👊👍
👍Good stuff. Every old FORD, Chevy, Dodge I’ve ever messed with (sitting forever) has a gazillion miles, concrete like “mud” in engine cooling system, jumped time or worse. Ya never see much of that on TH-cam with these “found” cars. They always magically fire up with just a lil bit of tooling around. They’ll set the timing right where the factory wants it w/ no issues, drive em & not boil over. Simply amazing. Lol! *At any rate, I do enjoy this guys channel. He’s a pretty solid dude.
My boss has a 67 396 four speed chevelle that I’m gonna be working on with him to get back on the road. Nothing more fun than working on old muscle cars
Fast forward Mustang made me smile so big... man that brought back memories had one just like it. same color inside and out and to listen to that baby run that is so sweet so gratifying. It was never a big Powerhouse 302 in it what it looks good I had it painted and Polished and in the 1970s and 80s she looked pretty cherry on Main Street every night.
I had the 4 door Gran Torino back in 1988-89 with the 351 Windsor. It had a problem it would run great, and then every once in a while, you get back in it to go somewhere it wouldn't hit a lick.
Great video....can't wait to see more on the charger...now ..time to go for the big one!.....restoration of a superbird!!! That'll be your tavarish project
I bought a 70 Mustang Grande and a 65 Mustang at the same time many moons ago. They both ran good and i flipped them real quick. Made good profit but wish i had them now. I liked this video. Worth restoring i think.
Thank you Northern Tool.I have always loved this body style mustang, the boss 302 was beautiful and an incredible car for its time, that would be cool to throw a set of Cleveland heads on this mustang.Awesome video Dylan can't wait to see this old pony galloping down the road again
Dylan; Good job on this old '70 Mustang. Ford's of this era use two different firing orders. Depending on the camshaft profile they're 13724568 or 15634278 respectively. If memory serves me correctly number 1 position on the distributor cap should be at the 1 o'clock position. It's good that the previous owner put in a GM HEI distributor. You can get them at Summit racing or Rock auto parts or any reputable auto parts store in North America. I remember this model year Mustang. Especially the '70 boss 302 Mustang GT. Ah the good old days when Detroit was king and aids meant assistance. I really miss those days. God bless and keep up the good work ethic. 🙏👍👍
Im glad to see other people fixing up these old coupes. Everyone has a fast back and as much as I like them, I am getting pretty burnt on seeing them all the time.
"Awesome video Dylan and I ben watching your videos for 7 years now and I can't wait to see what all you are going to do with the Mustang lol the 1st thing you might want to do is a transmission, no park and 3 drives lol!!!
Nice to see a FORD MUSTANG getting a new beginning. Nice job Dylan!! Mopars and Fords!! Leave the Chevy to the other channels. If you do get a Chevy please do a MOPAR or FORD transplant
Brings back allot of memories. My first car was a 1970 mustang coupe just like that. My step dad and I rescued it from the junkyard and restored it. Shortly after I turned 16, he passed away....
Sorry everyone, the giveaway for Northern Tool is going to be in a future video with the gift cards. My mistake! To offset it, I’ll ship out a gift card with some of my merch, so comment down below to win!

Sure could use it! Thanks for the honesty!

I was thinking the same thing! What an awesome find.
I saw them and thought, please keep them, and get them cleaned up.
Water is wet.
Looks like a fun build! Thank you Northern Tool for getting behind and supporting Dylan. Very deserving of a sponsor like you.

Gotta love it. Glad you got it working!
Thank you Northern Tool for getting behind and supporting Dylan. Very deserving of a sponsor like you.

Still
time stamp 9:18 to 9:20 needs to be a shirt! It's perfect for every level of frustration. LOL.
I like the idea a lot! It'd be very funny xD
351w is a fine engine, I built a 325hp for my ‘68 Mustang mated with a 4 speed and 4:11 gears it was fast as I needed.
Needs to fix the b balancer your going to ruin that crank shaf
@@careysavage note the past tense writing armchair fan. He probably doesn't care. Most sold it years ago...

My first car was a '69 Mustang, this brings back some memories.
I really loved this video too, Dylan. Loved all the neat stuff you did to get this '70 Mustang running. And the drive to the shop was the icing on the cake. Thanks for another good video.
iI'm a FORD truck guy, but i do love this body style of the mustang.. gonna be a good series of mustang videos "THANK YOU NORTHERN TOOL"
MCCOOL!!- ALL YOUR CARS NEED TENDER LOVING CARE - AND YOU'RE THE MOPAR DOCTOR! 😊😊
He is a hack.

Im mainly a Chevy guy, but you gotta love these old mustangs. Can't wait for part 2!
I’m happy to do you’re working on one you already have and 1970 mustangs are the best.
Love this year of mustang and always LOVE your videos Dylan!! Briar looked like he was having more fun than he should have when driving a car with no brakes no park and just drive gears lol!!

Good job bryer held your head didn't panic 😊
This video brought back many good ol memories of my old mustangs and tinkering with my stepdad 😮
The first drive back to the shop was awesome. Great video.
Just bought a 77 Tbird with a highly modified 351W (and a 5speed). Fantastic engine!

Ready for episode 2 ! Thank you Northern Tool
Congratulations Dylan on the start of the Mustang. Brair is great side kick and helper. Look forward to where this project goes. Thank you for sharing.
💯👊👍
I think it's a Windsor. The Cleveland had very wide valve covers.
Yep Cleveland plugs are long and narrow also. Had one in my 79 F-150.
Thermostat housing on the block for a Cleveland, intake for a Windsor.
@@johnburch6927 yep definitely a windsor
A Cleveland is the size (appearance wise,) as a big block too. My dad and I shoehorned one in his '64 Fairlane, years ago.
Not really a Mustang guy but this body style is amazing. Just one of those perfect designs.
My all time favorite
Its a Grande' mustang.
Im old😅😅😅😅
Love them or hate them I guess. I think it's the most unfortunate looking front end they ever used
@dougjones9698 I actually feel like they were trying to copy the camaro that might be why I like it so much I'm a ford man so 🤫
This was a great episode! 3 drives and no park…
As a classic Mustang fan, I'd love to see more vids with this car in it 👍👍🙏🙏
Funny this uploaded today, I just got my grandpa's 66 running today as well. Hoping to get it on the road soon
Had a buddy in high school that owned a 70 Mustang. It was awesome. Thanks Dylan for the Charger carpet with my last order!
So glad for a part TWO!!!!
DMcC that's a sweet running ol ford mustang 351W are great platforms to have that ol girl will make a sweet car to have keep
Pretty sure that balancer is fine and you're just seeing the offset weight vs the fully circular ones ur use too.
Thank you Northern Tool! Excited to see what you guys do with this Mustang!

Awsome , thank you Northern Tool ! That's a sweet compressor
It is a 351 Windsor. The clevelands had almost hemispheric heads with a much larger valve cover
Nice Mustang! I am going to enjoy watching the progress!

Nice to see u got it running!! "Thank you Northern Tool"
I can only imagine when you were making the linkage for the shifter, when you measured it you measured it in Neutral, needs to be longer
I love that rear end! Thanks northern tool! I never wine anything!
Thank you Northern Tools for getting Dylan and new Air Compressor!!
Thank you Northen Tool! Thank you Dylan for such a cool content!
well, it has the telltale thermostat housing of Windsor.
It also looks considerably water than it’s smaller Cousin, the 302.
Looks like it’s a 351W.
Thank you northern tool and Dylan for a great video
