That's a great point! I daily mine. Have a few more. Most of these squares are about 5 trucks in one these days😂 We just like good looking old rigs that are easy to work on, and we don't get all wrapped up in them fancy new technologies. Plus you can't fix them yourself, not on the side of the road anyways. Which a square will never leave you stranded if it's sorted out.
Kind of a shame that Chevy doesn't go back to the old square body design. Unfortunately, they'd much rather crank out those 4-Door Country Cadillac's, that they can sell for $100k instead of building a affordable, reliable, working man's truck.
Congratulations!! It was nice to see things go, relatively, easy for you. I know the public loves drama, me, I'm happy when a man doesn't have to replace another starter, or break a valve etc.etc.

Glad you liked it!
Great scrapyard score. I agree, pluck the motor/trans and drop it in the 72 Nova. You see way more pickups than you do Novas.
I love the stripes and I love the color. I love the tow mirrors. I love the white wheels.
I don't care if she's rusting back into the Earth. She's a great-looking truck.
It’s not bad
@@MortskeRepair It's hard to get a bad-looking squarebody though, honestly. I've got an 88 Blazer that was a GSA truck. USMC tan without being a CUCV. As plain as can be and I think it's gorgeous. Haha.
You are right about the power train, seems decent enough to add to a better frame. This one would take an awful lot of patch and fit to ever be a keeper, or just s driver. The fate of a lot of old Chev's..... the rust is winning. Chev did have some great color combos, Red & White, tan and chocolate, sky blue navy blue, Red & Dark grey... Black & Silver....Cheers
Pressure washing, 2 videos in a row !!! Outstanding 👍😂
More to come!
Duffers loves his R I D E S! Another great video brother
Right on!
Thanx for your video ,You and Duff saved my day.
Glad I could help
I still have my mom's first car, which is a 1935 Ford 5 window coupe as well. She bought it in 1962 for 227.00 dollars.
Mom paid up big, that was a 25 dollar find at that time - just an old car
@@djmtndew Mom and Dad drove it till 1965 right after I was born and then bought a new 1965 Chevy Impala 4 door car. Guess they needed a back seat for me. LOL
Awesome
Sadly when that cash for cars happened in NY State all those beautiful trucks were scrapped. Its hard to find anything like these beauties and those I love.
“Cash For Cars”, commie environmentalism gone wrong.
I look forward to your videos every week and any others during the week are a bonus
Much appreciated
Well, the way we fixed those Holley Econos was to replace them. A 350 gasping for air through one was a disturbing sound.
I like, no I will say love how these guys just blast a pressure washer all over the interior and engine and luckily it doesn't effect anything! I tried it twice and tried to keep the dash and engine important stuff dry and it has never worked for me. Always had water issues with stuff.
That’s too bad
Here in the rust belt, that truck would be prime as a builder as long as the frame is good. New bed and some off shore body panels you got a driver for years.
Come get it!
Great episode Mortske…
There’s a lot of people who don’t like Q jets . if you know how to build them they run just as good as Holly‘s or Edelbrock you name it. I had an economy Master on my 67 Chevelle ran great, keep that one and have chin rebuild it. My other question ,was a turbo 400 an option in that pick up, can’t believe they use a turbo 350 in a three-quarter ton. And that mat that was in the bed of the pick up looked like very old conveyor belt material.
As always, great show, carry-on.
I always use lacquer thinner to get sticky off the steering wheel, then 409 spray cleaner to finish
