When DJI releases a new drone, then they usually give third party developers access shortly after! So soon as a new drone drops, shortly after Mini 2 might get open to third party developers. Happy Flying 😎

OK, I did this exactly how you described & all I got to say about the poor man version is: OMG, is this COOL!!!! I was gonna spend all sorts of cash on the new DJI model (which I know is an experience that can't exactly compare to this) but as you say, I'm living FPY for under €50 (live in Europe)! The App from Litchi works perfect, they granted my Beta request within 12 hours, goggles took 3 days with amazon, and now I'm sitting on the patio laughing my butt off! Tomorrow I'm heading into the mountains to get dizzy! THANK YOU droneXfactor!!! This is exactly the solution I was looking for (at least for now)!!!

When I look in the ITunes App Store, Litchi does not have the Mavic Air 2 listed as a compatible drone. That’s the only reason I didn’t buy it already.. So it works with the Air 2?? I’ll try it.. I already own a pair of Skyzone FPV goggles. I have flown FPV for a couple years. Awesome!! Thank You!

Can the controller be connected through Bluetooth (wirelessly) to the cell phone? That way the cell can be placed into a VR headset and used during bright sunlight, as an example. AND where on Earth can I get a cable from the controller's usb-c ? to the android cell usb-c? Thanks

I am using a HMD called MovieMask - it doesnt't need VR split screen - so you can use without the need of a thrid party app. Just use the standard dji fly app. Works perfeclty with Mini 2 or any other drone. On more recommendation - there is an app called DroneVR - with Mavic Air 2 you have full control of your gimbal while wearing a headset, you can look in all directions, not just up and down!

How can I share the experience with someone with my Air2S? I would to fly the drone while putting the goggles on someone else... I can do this with my Phantom 4 Pro because I have a pair of fat shark goggles that I plug into the controller (with 2 USB connections) while I use my phone or iPad to fly. Is there ANY way to do this with the Air2S? Anyone’s input would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use the two-way charging hub for Mini 2? If so, can I remove the battery that is fully charged while the two other batteries are still charging or I have to completely charge all the three batteries before use?
there must be a block update because i have a mavic air 2 and when i connect it to litchi, it continues to say "disconnected" in red at the top of the screen. no matter what i do, it will not give me a display however i do see a signal strength and adjustment options. Im starting the process for disputing the charge on my account

Like I mentioned in the video, it is still in beta. That means after you pay and download the app, you will need to click on the link in the description section to become a beta tester, as I explained in the video. Only when you become a beta tester then it will work. If you don't want to become a beta tester, just give it some time, I'm sure in a few weeks the software will be finalized. Happy Flying 😎
I've owned the original dji goggles for a couple years now,I own the mini 2 and the mavic air 2 and hopefully the mav 3 someday, I'd like to have at least 2 drones compatible with the smart controller before I buy it, I don't see why the Mini 2 isn't even rumored to be compatible w/smart controller? it has occusync 2 🤨

Any chance you have hook up from DJI for new goggles? I prefer to stick with the similar brand products and am willing to pay retail. I have Mavic Air 2s that I fly with the Smart Remote.... never thought I might like the goggles but now that I see the DJI FPV, I think I may like the immersive experience. I haven't gone through your whole video library, but I'd like to see if there's a poor man's version for a mini 2 fpv mode! Unfortunately so, Litchi isn't compatible with the mini 2. He put his sticker over the front of his but they are the same. You look close and you even can read parrot on them
the cheap headsets are just a set of lenses to make your phone into stereo vision. The expensive ones need the cable

How do you navigate the menu options on the phone screen if its stuck in the VR headset?
That's the only inconvenience. You got to take the phone out of the googles.

I haven't gone through your whole video library, but I'd like to see if there's a poor man's version for a mini 2 fpv mode! Unfortunately so, Litchi isn't compatible with the mini 2. Although I could use it for my mavic pro, but the mini 2 is more my go to drone to fly, I love this thing! Cheers and I enjoy your content, have a great weekend 👍
Hi Paul, No Poor Mans Version for Mini2 because DJI won't release it's SDK to 3rd party developers 😭

If you don't have a link to the cheaper FPV goggles, then maybe you have a brand name for them? Would really appreciate it.
Check out thrift shops in your area, they have them often.
@@b2bmail Didn't even think of thrift and pawn shops. I ordered some cheap ones online, wish I didn't, they suck if you wear glasses.
