Jeven, hi man, will you be able to point me to a place where i get my Mavic Air 1 drone fixed? I mean my issues is that my drone does not turn on sometimes , it is as if it is hanging in the boot up process...propellers turn , and gimbal moves but i dont hear that read sound being played, very annoying.... sometimes it does complete the power on / boot up cycle BUT then i also struggle to link the remote and the drone. All of this was after a safety update i did for the fly-zones. Its just strange because sometimes i am able to fly and it works fine. Sadly the last 2 weeks i have tried and tried and the drone will not turn on fully, no idea what is going on. I have crashed the drone in gate , but this was more than a year ago and i have flown the drone at many places thereafter so it is very very strange. Hope you can help me, thanks
Wow - So. Much. Talent. Super articulate. Content is 100% towards shooting, correction and coloring - maybe the best 11:04 on the subject on TH-cam (yes, the ‘whole’ TH-cam). Thank - You - Jeven!
Well done my friend. Some of the nicest drone material I have seen on YT. I do get rather tired of the over saturated, oversharpened material that is awash on YT. Nice to see someone who knows what he's talking about.
What an amazing cinematic look you achieved. I am thinking of buying a Mavic air 2 and your video makes my decision much easier. Thank you for your very helpful content.
This is a great tutorial, thanks man! I’ll be ordering an Air 2 very soon. I was waiting to pull the trigger once any bugs had been worked out and I was having a hard time justifying it over the Mavic Mini, but it seems to be worth the extra $$.
That was awesome! I'm full into photography and a total newbie in video. My Mavic Air 2 is on its way to me. My primary goal was only to capture real estate or next day wedding shots, but since having all these capabilities I thought I should learn how to capture and edit some small clips, but I'm too afraid of the learning curve. This video helped me a lot, both into capturing and editing (image processing knowledge helps A LOT, by what I saw from you). Thanks!
Another excellent tutorial man .. You rock ! I felt like I was there for a moment looking at your edited footage, you captured the atmosphere exceptionally well
Can you confirm which you actually recommend, Cinelike or D-Log. You said at one part always use Cinelike then seconds later recapped and said you always use D-Log.
I just purchased a base model MacBook Pro 14 inch, with M1 Pro Chip. Will this Mac model be enough for a DJI Air2s drone beginner pilot for editing and color grading?
Great tips! Sadly my MA2 flew into a cliff today on it's 3rd outing, had it less than a week. Thought I had all the settings right and was executing a Fly Around. Sucks!
Depends on what you need. Both are good. Cinema grade feels like Lightroom and color finale is more traditional color grading setup. I use color finale to create LUTs as well
Love the Video Inspiration What software do you use for editing? I use davinci resolve 17. I purchased the DJI pocket 2 and recorded at 4K 60fps and when it came to editing it was bad.. like the footages didn’t Match the audio .. idk what may be wrong. Do you think graphics card?
Your challenge with shooting at 60fps is that you'll lose the nice motion blur of 25fps (or lower) which you can recreate in post but it really isn't the same. Regardless, thanks for the video, it's nice for the community to see such tutorials, they're really appreciated!
you could use the 1/60 shutter speed with the thought in mind that most of that footage will be used in a 30fps timeline, so you'll be dropping every other frame. This means indeed you'll get a bit too much blur when you do slow down the footage, but maybe that's a better option.
Thanks and I have subscribed your channel, and it was a good content...the only thing I haven’t seen was the blue sky as you mentioned, it was white and not blue, so not sure why you have mentioned to make the sky blue!!!
If you shoot 4k60 and decide not to slow it down and change it to 30 or 24 in post production, it will look really choppy. The 60fps exposure doesnt fit 30fps
Ok so you mentioned you shoot in 4k60 and in DLog, but I thought the Mavic Air 2 was only able to shoot in D-Cinelike and DLog was not an option. I just ordered mine today so I guess I don't know now, is this an option on the Mavic Air 2????
Dude - this was so good! I clicked to learn more about the Mavic Air 2 - but the color grading info was gold. Your idea of creating vignettes that don't affect the highlights - awesome. 👍
Jeven, can I ask a "bone"question if you shoot all your vids in 60fps,do you then have to have the fps for your vid at 60fps for it to appear normal speed or do you alter the frame rate to 30 fps for certain bits to get the slow-mo. Hope that makes sense,I well confused haha.sorry.
Great tutorial! I have a Mavic Air 2 aswell and find at times while reviewing a beautiful shot there will be several choppy frames then smooth footage for 5 seconds or so followed by several choppy frames again. I have tried almost everything to resolve this and wondering if you might have the answer? It mostly happens when panning or tilting the gimbal but does happen periodically at any given time. I have seen it happen alot with Mavic Air 2 footage posted on TH-cam from others. Everyone's but yours. Whats the secret?
Jeven, really good information. Love the channel. I’m currently using DaVinci Resolve. I’m finding that when I retime my clips, they often get really choppy. Do you have a good fix or preventive for that? Thanks.
@@JevenDovey OK, didn't think about SS maybe causing this. Just bought some NDs for my Evo II. I'll do some experimenting with keeping my SS down to 2x frame rate. Thanks!! Jim
Admit I am a raw rookie at this...............but I tried your advice and set my Mavic Air 2 to 4K 60fps D-Cine, shot some footage, then tried to import into DaVinci Resolve..............I have DaVinci set for 60fps project frame rate, but when I try to import the clip it says the clip rate does not match the project, so I tell it to change because the only other choice is to cancel, and then when I play the footage it is jumpy at best. Gotta be a disconnect somewhere...............most likely between my ears! Enjoyed the video, but not sure I'll ever get there from here..............except for your flying tips, those were extremely........extremely helpful!
Ok, thanks.....................agree it should work, but does not...........if I record in 24fps daVinci will handle just fine, but 60fps just will not play back at any speed, jumps from one frame set to another, freezes, then jumps again, no real video at all. Checked the web and seems daVinci has issues for a lot of those who use DJI drones at 60fps. Will keep working with it and see what Black Magic has to say about the issue, probably come down to a setting I haven't found yet. Keep Dronein!

which software do you use for editiing/post processing?
Great video Jeven! Just curious if you follow the 180 rule and set your shutter speed to 120 when you are 60p?
If you do shoot in 4K 60 and use a 1/120 shutter. What Nd filters do you usually use
I still have the original Mavic Air. Is it better to do 4k30fps or to do 1080p60fps?
Great stuff. Learned so much from watching your channel. Learning how to fly my ma2, shoot vids, and post. I love this hobby.
How do you deal with the image noise from this camera, specially in d-cinelike mode? Congrats for your work!
