Hasbro and their new packaging is unacceptable. I don’t care what their justification for getting rid of the plastic window is, either. Customers need to be able to see what they’re getting for their money, pure and simple. There’s just way too many quality control issues with the Marvel Legends line, and this windowless packaging hides any potential defects in their figures. I still cannot come to accept the fact that collectors are still buying the Marvel Legends line these days at their absurd retail prices. Their new packaging is just another reason why not to be buying Hasbro’s products these days.
The SHF Naruto and the SHF Kid Naruto are the same price as this, and those come with multiple pairs of hands, a Rasengan effect piece, several alternate faces and more
Man at least you guys get new figures in the stores. Every target/walmart/Walgreens in my county state still have Marvel legends from the 2011s. They never restock the new ones. Unless scalpers live in the stores. I always have to go to far away specialty stores and buy them for twice the price
Every time I see a Marvel Legends review I question myself why I keep buying Legends deep down I know they are bad I don’t remember last Marvel Legends good figure, thanks for another great review I am so close to giving up on legends a couple more bad figures and I am out
The windowless packaging hides bad QC. This way it's kind of like a pack of baseball cards, you never know if the figure you bought has crossed eyes, bad paint, missing or mismatched parts until you get it home.
"This is the best Marvel Legends ever" I feel like I hear this with every release and then upon a closer glance, I can't help but notice the flaws. I would really be curious to know what people's standards are for a good action figure. To this figure's credit, the shoulders and the upper chest look good, but the long neck and very slender lower body make him look odd. I do like how they pinched in the arms, but the different colors and shiny plastic make him look ugly. What's the harm in a consistent paint job? I would've preferred they use the marbled plastic as they did with War Machine. Also, this is $33 on Hasbro Pulse. Insane.
I have NOT heard "this is the best marvel legends" in like a decade. Not sure where you're hearing that. Majority of us know this fig has many flaws for normal figure collectors, this is more for spiderman collectors.
Best figure in term of price and quality are most Mafex. Sure it’s expensive but the overall quality is great. You can play with them or make them a statue with incredible poses.
This is probably the best iron spider action figure you can get unless you want to pay $300 for a hot toys figure and finding the Amazing Yamaguchi iron spider for an affordable price is also near impossible.
I don't necessarily disagree about the butterfly joint lack of range but bringing the arms up so they're perpendicular to the body and showing the range that way would be more accurate to how most people will utilize the joint, as opposed to showing the range with the arms down.
I’m actually okay with Spider-Man being proportioned this way. I want him lanky. Even though the retro and Renew your vow’s spideys are great, I think they’re too muscular. At least with hasbro. Where they cut the diaphragm, I always feel like it looks like he has love handles. This still has that to a degree but I don’t mind it as much. This has always been my favorite design for him. For now I’m happy as hell with this. I do hope mafex tackles him soon though. Also, not a fan of the windowless thing. Gives me that dollar store feel
My favorite Iron Spider design is the Aaron Davis Iron Spider. As well, when it comes to butterfly joints, my opinion goes back to the old saying of "Do it right or don't do it at all." But yeah, way overpriced, as is the case with many modern MLs today. Maybe if the spider legs had maximum articulation and we got more hand accessories it'd be worth the $30, but even then for that price you can get so many better figures from various other companies, so why even bother? Not worth the cost.
It's enough for me considering I started collecting recently probably about a year and I missed all of the Spider-Man figures, and the fact I almost overlooked this one in target because thought it was just skin like the other Spider-Man skins until I took a closer look at box but I haven't opened it yet I'm about to right now..... to be continued
Well after the unboxing I'm impressed mostly although I was a lil mixed about the colors and mostly the spider legs but the articulation and the ability to easily stand this figure up is always a plus, I love the figure sculpt as well I just think the red is off like strawberry red and the gold could've been a little brighter yellow lol and plus when I first unboxed the figure it felt like I was getting a egg roll from panda express because of the packaging but I love this Figure and it grows more on me everyday
Hate the new packaging. Been a fan of the comic iron spider design way before the movie. This figure would of been amazing with better waldoes. But it's just good cause of the mediocre waldoes and unjustified high price point.
To be honest, I don't really like the windowless packaging, and it isn't what you'd think. While putting an image on is fine, I think it can lead to problems where you may not know what kind of figure you will get. One of the good things about a plastic window view is that you cannot fake it. If anyone tried to tamper/ open the box and tired to pull a fast one on you with resale, you could catch it. As such, while a noble endeavor to try to protect the planet, I personally find this to be foolish because all it is going to do is just increase the chance of scamming. The second reason why I'm against it is purely aesthetic reasons because whenever I collect an action figure, I keep inside the box and display it on my shelf. It's one thing if I want to open up the box and show it inside a display case, but also, in case I ever want to resale the item, having it inside the box in good condition is something I prefer. But this is just me. I'd be curious to hear other folks takes on the matter.
Anthony, The shoulder joint has a super deep hinge to make up for the Butterfly joint. He can achieve anything a butterfly joint does due to that deep cut in the hinge. But it’s Like you said, for that don’t break up the sculpt if the butterfly joint is worthless
QotD: I'm still vehemently against the new boxes, they need a redesign to make them tamper proof or make it where we can see paint apps and what the actual figure looks like, not just fancy renders. That said, if we're being forced to keep this style, comic art up front. Has the most shelf-appeal but like early McFarlane DC figs, shows how inaccurate the piece is to the comic art. For this figure, not worth the inflated price, and that's not even my disinterest in the character, it's just not good enough for 30+. NECA is just a hair more expensive but they kill it every time and feel more worth the money. The suits at Hasbro just don't care anymore I'm convinced (Not the designers, let's make it clear)
I cannot stand the torso being a different color than the limbs and head. I was actually stoked to find this at the local target, only to get it home and see him wearing a one piece swimsuit over his costume. I'll likely break down and repaint it, but a uniform color scheme should most certainly be included in the new inflated price.
I have been saying from the very beginning, the square jawline is so prominent on this fig, First Appearance Spiderman, and Spinerette 2 pack. Not sure why they keep messing this up...really frustrating.
When S H Figuarts are giving me a Goku for £29.99, with better articulation, extra faces and hand, how can I justfy the £32.95 I paid for this. I can't. If Hasbro's buisness model is bankruptcy, then they are doing exceptional work.
I'm not on board with the packaging, and they're not doing anything to win me over. Either do cool artwork or show actual (and accurate) images of the figures, and their current boxes do neither. As for the figure itself, it looks good enough to warrant a purchase. Is it as good as it should be? No. Is it overpriced? Yes, but at least the figure has a unique sculpt and that alone makes this figure more interesting than 90% of the other Legends. Maybe my opinions will change when I get him in hand, but I'm glad that he looks good enough to buy. Which is way more than I can say for most Legends.
Boy they would sure be in for a surprise when they pull out the figure & end up seeing that it looks really bad compared to the collector card, regardless if they used Comic Art or the renders of the figure.
I think the packaging should just be a basic rectangular box thats just big enough for the figure. They need to figure out ways to get prices in check and honestly the boxes have been ugly and awkwardly shaped for years.
Now I'm just curious what you consider to be the best ML release to date? I really have never given it much thought and I don't collect much of it these days. I could care less about the character, but I remember the Abomination figure being pretty cool from the Toy Biz era. The Green Goblin was pretty nice too. On the Hasbro side, I did like the MCU Deadpool ignoring the weird thing with the guns being glued into the holsters. I also didn't like having to buy it in a two-pack with a character I didn't want, but that's not Deadpool's fault. It would make sense for an MCU release to score high since Hasbro seems to have a real problem with comic proportions and that's something the MCU characters can avoid.
I find it so strange that of all these new Spiderman figures only one of them got the toe joint a key posting point on a Spiderman in my opinion and not having it is such a swing and a miss
I like the design of the Iron Spider suit, hate the concept One of my favourite things about Spider-Man is his incredibly creative powerset. Peter really gets to show off his genius when he cleverly uses his powers to defeat powerful foes and when he gets to show off how versatile and strong his moveset can be in spite of it sounding weak on a first glance Iron Spider throws all of this out the window because why the hell would Peter actually need to use any of powers when he can shoot lasers and shit. It's just dumb to me Like I said the design rules tho, I love the spider legs (although I'm glad they're the Iron Spiders thing and he doesn't always have them) and the two toned red and gold is gorgeous
I feel like all they did was slightly retool the Pizza Spidey body, added half articulated legs, and call it a day. I got one, for compltionists sake, but I think I am done with ML after I get the handful of Spider-Man and Venom characters I have. This figure is much more improved over the first version they made of it in the late 2000's, but crappy for it now being 2022 and at a price point above $30. For the many mistakes McFarlane make, and they make plenty, at least we're getting individually tooled figures for $20 each, and when they do good on a figure, they do really good on a figure.
I actually got back into comics and figures around the time he got this suit, so I’ve always liked this suit. I even have the crappier Spider-Man classic one. I do like the MCU look as well. I’m happy they made this but I’m not happy to be paying 33 bucks for this thing. I don’t understand how the first appearance figure has so many hands yet this one doesn’t. If it wasn’t Spider-Man, I’d easily wait for a sale or pass.
The art style is really good on the Venom 3-pack and the Amazon Spider-Man 5-pack. These first couple waves look like garbage and will likely kill their in-person sales, particularly with all the figure swapping.
Question #1 - I agree with the neutral pose on the side idea. I just haven’t gotten used to the design of the box yet but the poses they go for just feel underwhelming to me. Question #2 - I was a fan of this suit before the MCU’s version. The MCU version is a lot at once and I’m kind of torn on it. I don’t hate it and I don’t love it, if they toss it into a game I don’t mind. Watching this review I’m starting to regret the pre-order 🤣 I’m glad this armor got a new figure and all, but the price tag and the end results. Open hands would be nice, a display base or means to recreate one of the civil cover would’ve been nice. Been seeing there’s some mods that can be made to the waldoes/spider arms that require the amazing yamaguchi arms. We shouldn’t have to, but it’s out there.
There you go, for everyone who says Anthony's customs is too negative, he's not here to make you happy ; he's here to tell you what he thinks. What more would you need?
I've always wanted this comic book version of Iron Spider so I'm getting one regardless. As for the packaging, yes it's terrible because you can't compare with another if there's more than one. I found a Future Foundation Spiderman and mine had some paint issues. Not that bad but with I could've compared with the other 2. On the bright side, the new packaging makes these figures look like the cheaper kids toys so it's easy for casuals to overlook.
Honestly a combo of comic art and the photos Hasbro takes would be more suitable for the new packaging they’re doing. I think they’re doing the boxes like this for people who are indecisive on whether to have mint or not mint in box lol
Back in 2006 I was working next door to a comic shop (I live in Stamford Ct) and I stopped buying comics up until this point, one day the comic shop owner came in and said "Marvel Fucking Blew Us Up!!!!!!!" So needless to say I dove back into comics hard, especially Spider-Man cause his villains were some of my fav characters, so when I read Road to Civil War I was hooked on the suit, and I liked ot even more when they gave it to MVP and his clones
😆 for a marvel legends a 7/10, i wonder what is your rating if it was not based on marvellegends? Probably won't make 5...i was underwhelmed by this figure coz of the extra limbs, it feels so cheap....very honest review as always 👍
I was excited when this figure was announced, and even pre-ordered it from Target. However, I saw some early reviews from Asian reviewers who naturally get the figures earlier than us in the US, and decided to cancel my pre-order. It's not worth the retail price Hasbro 's asking for. I can spend my hard-earned cash on other items. I also stopped getting full waves now due to the price increase. I just pick the figures that I really like. If by some chance some male to clearance I'll probably get the fig. I find it more enticing to pre-order Mcfarlane 's Solomon Grundy wave because of the Collect and Connect Character, the price for each figure and the fact that you only need 4 figs to complete the set.
The maffex one is gonna be crazy because legends is falling off more than before and with legends creeping up to maffex prices I rather spend the extra 40-60 for an actual good accurate figure.
These new windowless boxes are just a bad idea. QC issues are just BAD. Why couldn't they use cellulose paper to replace the plastic? It's just see through paper. Apparently the plastic is also an anti theft deterent... ever try to open a new figure at night? I picked this up, he's OK. These are 31.49 in Chicago.
Oh, shid, this gonna be good... Edit: Watched the review. Agreed with everything you said. I actually got this figure today and thought "Anthony is going to say something about this and that" and you did, lol. I have no idea who is sculpting these Spidey heads but they are awful. This headsculpt and the one with the Amazing Fantasy are super weird. They are turning into funko pops with how, err, "squary" they are. The Waldos are trash. They are super gummy and wobbly... The plastic for the figure is super gummy too. The joints in the legs are very tight and I'm afraid of tearing the plastic or something if I'm not careful when moving them. I don't know... The figure looks good from a distance but handling it is a different thing. It feels very cheap and lower quality than usual. QotD1: Hate the new packages. They don't really show the actual product and they have no idea how to pose figures. They are awful. QotD2: I do like this design and hate the MCU version. To be honest, I'm not very fond of either but the red and gold combo are nice.
I like this figure quite a bit. I hate the price. I like whats here, but there should be more. The reds not matching is super weird looking when under harsh lighting. They cheaped out on the articulation with the waldoes I just spoke a lot of bad things about this figure, but i still for some reason like it.
Tbh I don’t care about the packaging much as long as the figure is intact and is of high quality and warrrants the price point. As for the second question, I actually loved the iron suit even before MCU, although i personally like MCU more simply cuz he has four robo spider arms when the comics one doesn’t which doesn’t make sense to me that much.
As an opener who buys online, I’m fine with the new packaging. However, the windowless packaging should use comic art like the upcoming Symbiote box set. The digital renders aren’t great so far. Iron Spider only grabbed me once they did it in the MCU. The comic version make sense with its association with Iron Man, but it just didn’t do it for me. Why only 3 legs? Weird choice
Great review, this figure looks pretty good off first glance but any real deep diving, and it begins to fall below the mark. Which sucks too because I'm sure people would want a decent Iron Spider. Also quick question for you, will you be reviewing the new Sentry? I hope so.
What would really benefit this is good qc, if they're charging 30$ and won't put windows on the box we could at least get a figure that's what it advertises on the inside. I haven't got a ml since the vintage symbiote spider man and thought this would be ok but I pulled it out of the box and half the paint was missing on the torso.
I highkt prefer window box. The windowless box is not good. There are instances now where the picture does not look like the actual figure. Although with the windowless box, I have no issue opening and throwing it away. But some figures I liked to keep displayed in box. That's not a thing anymore though which stinks. Well done on the review
I prefer this iron spider design, but I hate how shiny the red is on this figure. If they had made it a satin finish with a really nice metallic gold for the plastic bits like the paint in the torso I'd have gone for this figure despite the other flaws. That said, new packaging, and lowering quality of the figures are just more reasons to not buy Marvel Legends anymore.
i don't really like the idea of windowless packaging, the old fashioned plastic packaging is way better as for the chest, i'd rather have a huge chest than a small chest for useless butterfly joint and i like the iron spider design in comics rather than the MCU version
Kept meaning to cancel my preorder after seeing early reviews, but it shipped sooner than expected. I’m a fan of the design but the price point combined with the lack of articulation (and hands!) plus the awful coloring feels nearly contemptuous. It’s hard to tell what their priority is over there. I’m sure the demands of a licensed product cause some issues but you look over at what the Joe team is doing at the same company and it’s night and day. In regards to the Q of the Day: this was my first windowless package so it’s hard to say early on. I agree they should have put more effort into the graphic design considering what a dramatic change this is.
I appreciate the honesty. If only someone from Marvel Legends would see this and take some notes. That jaw is ridiculous, along with the other things you pointed out. Thanks for the review
I was a fan of the comic design before the mcu versions and I prefer the old design. For one I like the odd number of spider legs more so than the even (just about everyone with extra back legs have 4 of them so 3 is more unique) and second I like the colors better than the mcu as well. The mcu coloration is mostly just making the classic red and blue metallic with a some gold which I can get from a cold detached marketing perspective (making him look more like Spiderman and less like Ironman to avoid overlap) but its kinda boring from a creative standpoint.
Man, did you notice that almost if not every single spiderman figure from hasbro marvel legends, their heads are always out of shape? Squared or really large jaw, weird shape on top of his skull for example. Oh, by the way hate the new packaging, they seems changing the box to hide their lower QC.
Got it on sale, cuz ain’t no way I’m paying $30+ for this lol. Rather just have no butterfly joint than one that doesn’t work. Ab crunches and waist swivels are definitely outdated imo. (Rather have diaphragm joint and ball joint at the waist.)
the only reason i got this was because we probably wont get another for another decade, and target had it on sale for $21, when its originally $33 which im sorry but it isnt worth over $30 especially with the lack of accessories and piss poor packaging.
It's really weird that the ab crunches look like that. I got the 2015 guardian at a toy show the other day for $1 and his ab crunch is sculpted nicely and work's well. That was 7 years ago. What is going on?
I'm agnostic about the packaging. It's the thing I look at for less than a few seconds before it goes in the recycling bin. On that front at least, I can now just recycle the whole thing into one bin instead of separating the plastics, so it saves me a few seconds. Other than that, they can print closeups of their own arseholes on the boxes for all I care.
I don’t mind the windowless packing for the Fortnite figures but not so much with the legends figures. It’s a weird price hike for less,I was this at my local Target for 31+taxes. I get cost of materials are going up but with there Legend series the pricing is all over the place. Plus the quality was gone down to.
I like the closed boxes, but they're not really good looking. I think the best closed boxes Hasbro is doing now are the studio series leader class ones, they have a render of the character itself os an artwork and they look great
I really love this review and it really made me not want to buy this figure which I’m happy I didn’t spend $30 for a half tried below standard figure but I would love to see a renew your vows spider man and spinerete 2 pack review
Under normal display lighting, this figure looks killer. I do wish he was more muscular, but with Marvel Legends level of engineering, I imagine that would limit articulation? Anyway, super pleased with this one.
I think you’re grading it a bit harsh. The musculature (spelling?) is good, all these Spidey bodies have similar. I actually wish they wouldve kept Pizza Spidey body as Spidey figs’ main bodymold (shoutout to Bagley). Agree colors could be better; Id prefer metallic gold and red as Iron Man gets sometimes. Also missing that 4th leg 😡 🤷🏽♂️
This has barely any musculature, it looks like a tube person in a muscle suit. And Pizza Spidey doesn't even match the build Bagley drew Spider-Man with. Also, Mark Miller drew Iron Spider in the comics, so Bagley's style wouldn't match the figure anyway
Goddamn you tore this apart lol. It's completely valid. New sculpt should be immaculate but isn't! The butterfly and ab crunch are god awful. Not even gonna mention the waldos
tbh, agree with the packaging and it's something that's not discussed all that much. Besides the "it sucks because it's windowless" (which I agree with) the package is truly ugly. The colour, everything. It's zero eye catching. I don't care, as all my buying is done online and I always open everything I get and throw away the package, but yeah, it's ugly
Hasbro and their new packaging is unacceptable. I don’t care what their justification for getting rid of the plastic window is, either. Really generous this time. The price point on this figure is above 30$. At most a 6, in my opinion. But nice review, as always. Peace!
The scores are relative to each line. Have to accept the price to some degree or ever ml review will be terrible
The price of a Marvel Legends is starting to reach the level of figuarts.
Or some Neca figures, and still hasbro cheaping out with wall crawling hands for each Spiderman Release? Thats just bs man!
That's crazy

The last Lizard figure released is considered very good. The only problem is the price.
The windowless packaging hides bad QC. This way it's kind of like a pack of baseball cards, you never know if the figure you bought has crossed eyes, bad paint, missing or mismatched parts until you get it home.
This Iron Spider pretty underwhelming people who say it's the best say that about every Marvel Legends ever

"It looks like someone collapsed his ribcage" has got to be one of the best, most accurate lines I've heard in an action figure review in a while.
I'm not a big fan of the windowless packaging, at least put a small window there so we can see the figure.

Imagine if mcfarlane did the windowless packaging and used the “collectors card” as the box art
Boy they would sure be in for a surprise when they pull out the figure & end up seeing that it looks really bad compared to the collector card, regardless if they used Comic Art or the renders of the figure.
That would be the ultimate bait and switch lol😂😂😂
Yooo I can't wait to hear Anthony tear this shit apart lmao
Crazy how theres always a new "best figure ever" yet nearly all marvel legends are identical except in terms of paint😂😂😂
I find it so strange that of all these new Spiderman figures only one of them got the toe joint a key posting point on a Spiderman in my opinion and not having it is such a swing and a miss
I want to look at the figure through the window I want to see if the paint jacked up grabbed the next one on the peg hook then you find a winner
Starting to feel like we are past the peak of marvel legends
miles past
I want that "Every figure that's better than Iron Spider" video would actually be fun to watch lol
It's good to get harsh in the review on these legends figures bcoz this thing cost I think 34 dollars on BBTS
Saw the thumbnail,saw the duration,knew I was in for a treat 😎
I like the design of the Iron Spider suit, hate the concept
One of my favourite things about Spider-Man is his incredibly creative powerset. Peter really gets to show off his genius when he cleverly uses his powers to defeat powerful foes and when he gets to show off how versatile and strong his moveset can be in spite of it sounding weak on a first glance
Iron Spider throws all of this out the window because why the hell would Peter actually need to use any of powers when he can shoot lasers and shit. It's just dumb to me
Like I said the design rules tho, I love the spider legs (although I'm glad they're the Iron Spiders thing and he doesn't always have them) and the two toned red and gold is gorgeous
Not bad for Marvel Legends line. Still, I have my Amazing Yamaguchi which is definitive Iron Spider 1/12 action figure.
I like how Anthony at 0:57 doesn't set down the figure. He just lets go of it lol
The MODOK figure works for the windowless look, but goodness I’m not a fan of the new mainline look. It really cheapens it to me.
The reds on mine match . I think the legs are the issue , should have been painted gold .
Windowless packaging really stinks
I think the new packaging is really unappealing I'd prefer commissioned art from the reference for the figure but that feels like a pipe dream
Realistic and thorogh evaluation no fake excitement thats is what makes Anthony one of my favourite action figure reviewers.
Do the video with the list of ML figures better than this figure.
That'll be a glorious video, on par with the family feud 3 pack.
You said “boop!” In this video because that is the sound Spider-Man makes. Thanks for the excellent review 💗
new packaging is crap! reports of bad QC/paint and switched figs are trickling in. Hasbro will have to learn the hard way.
2:07 this is for those who wants to see one darwin's most intriguing traits.
I hate the new packaging. Todd McFarlane is 1 up Marvel Legends every time time now.
Another thing is that the hands are at an angle.
heroes meant to inspire, even if it's just "I want to hit the gym." heroic proportions are the way.
“Garish”, I’ve gone through cycles with the MCU IS suit but I think that is exactly what I thought of it from the very beginning.
I like this figure quite a bit.
I hate the price.
I like whats here, but there should be more.
The reds not matching is super weird looking when under harsh lighting.
They cheaped out on the articulation with the waldoes
I just spoke a lot of bad things about this figure, but i still for some reason like it.
These marvel Legends look like they are coming in cereal boxes now.
He has 3 legs in a bunch of comics
@@thelockpot7836 no argument there. The suit is comic-accurate. It’s still a weird choice. It makes me think some kid pulled off the other leg
Great review, this figure looks pretty good off first glance but any real deep diving, and it begins to fall below the mark. Which sucks too because I'm sure people would want a decent Iron Spider. Also quick question for you, will you be reviewing the new Sentry? I hope so.
I review all the comic releases other than ones i can't find at Walgreens lol
@@AnthonysCustoms Good luck tracking him down then lol. I'd love to hear your thoughts on him.
I would have loved to see this look in the mcu instead of what we got. Loved the review Anthony
I really hope you review the amazing fantasy spiderman and the spiderman and spinneret two pack. That would be great!
I will
I highkt prefer window box.
That said, new packaging, and lowering quality of the figures are just more reasons to not buy Marvel Legends anymore.
i don't really like the idea of windowless packaging, the old fashioned plastic packaging is way better
as for the chest, i'd rather have a huge chest than a small chest for useless butterfly joint
and i like the iron spider design in comics rather than the MCU version
Thanks for the review
according to their sdcc panel, they do see my videos. from what i hear anyway. i wasnt there
I was a fan of the comic design before the mcu versions and I prefer the old design. For one I like the odd number of spider legs more so than the even (just about everyone with extra back legs have 4 of them so 3 is more unique) and second I like the colors better than the mcu as well. The mcu coloration is mostly just making the classic red and blue metallic with a some gold which I can get from a cold detached marketing perspective (making him look more like Spiderman and less like Ironman to avoid overlap) but its kinda boring from a creative standpoint.
an iron spider that can't hold itself up with the waldos? what's the point
Exactly
Man, did you notice that almost if not every single spiderman figure from hasbro marvel legends, their heads are always out of shape? Squared or really large jaw, weird shape on top of his skull for example. Oh, by the way hate the new packaging, they seems changing the box to hide their lower QC.
Yeah. It's weird.
I hate the windowless packaging... can't check for defects. And since they just raised the prices... it's more important now then ever.
Got it on sale, cuz ain’t no way I’m paying $30+ for this lol.
Rather just have no butterfly joint than one that doesn’t work.
Ab crunches and waist swivels are definitely outdated imo. (Rather have diaphragm joint and ball joint at the waist.)
Yea I agree would not waste the money and are 34.99 online just a waste of money
the only reason i got this was because we probably wont get another for another decade, and target had it on sale for $21, when its originally $33 which im sorry but it isnt worth over $30 especially with the lack of accessories and piss poor packaging.
It's a $20 figure. The fact that it has 6 joints on the Waldos and only 3 work shows this is half assed by Hasbro
those boxes feel like bootleg products.
It's really weird that the ab crunches look like that. I got the 2015 guardian at a toy show the other day for $1 and his ab crunch is sculpted nicely and work's well. That was 7 years ago. What is going on?
Good question
I'm agnostic about the packaging. It's the thing I look at for less than a few seconds before it goes in the recycling bin. On that front at least, I can now just recycle the whole thing into one bin instead of separating the plastics, so it saves me a few seconds. Other than that, they can print closeups of their own arseholes on the boxes for all I care.
@9:17 😂😂😂 why was that so funny
I don’t mind the windowless packing for the Fortnite figures but not so much with the legends figures. It’s a weird price hike for less,I was this at my local Target for 31+taxes. I get cost of materials are going up but with there Legend series the pricing is all over the place. Plus the quality was gone down to.
I got this guy on sale for $24, and I love it!
Those will be reviewed
Under normal display lighting, this figure looks killer. I do wish he was more muscular, but with Marvel Legends level of engineering, I imagine that would limit articulation? Anyway, super pleased with this one.
It wouldn't limit articulation at all if done properly.
If the waldos are just body parts not accessories then so are the ALT hands. Technically this figure has no accessories just spare parts.
He doesn't have 4 hands on his body at the same time...
Had to get one. Hate the price but it’s cheaper than any comic iron spider out and it’s my favorite spider suit.
They're bad lol.
Just wish it came with open hands for the price it is.
tbh, agree with the packaging and it's something that's not discussed all that much. Besides the "it sucks because it's windowless" (which I agree with) the package is truly ugly. The colour, everything. It's zero eye catching. I don't care, as all my buying is done online and I always open everything I get and throw away the package, but yeah, it's ugly
