Nice looking figure. I noticed the 2 right hands right away and was wondering if you were going to mention it or not. Hopefully they can get you a left hand.
You are correct about a wolf's teeth. The lower canine is supposed to be in front of the upper canine when the mouth is closed. This is still an amazing figure though.
To elaborate further, bottom canine teeth snuggle between the upper canine teeth and incisors. Essentially, from outside the order goes top canine, bottom canine, incisors, center. The bottom canine are further forward than their congruent incisors. But not at center, for there is a contour.
Funny, you love this figure so much, and yet you demonstrate fail after fail. We all have our subjective biases. My bias is that if you have to keep hearing a figure just to move it, that's a fail. I agree that the long arms are absurdly long, even considering it's fantasy. You say the midsection has really really good range, but we don't see it: fail. Anyways, why do we need that? He can reach EVERYTHING with his long arms. Let me ask you this, if the little white one you compared had exactly the same head sculpt, including articulated jaw, which would you spend your money on?
I was on the fence regarding a brown version but with those articulation problems and so many other figures I want I may end up passing on it. Thanks for the review Anthony.
I got Vozlak from BBTS a few weeks ago. I agree that these are great looking figures, but I think Veteran William is the better of the 2. I got the original brown version, and I had no issues with him at all. His parts swapped easily and he looks great. Vozlak required a LOT of heat (as you mentioned) and I had to also use silicon shock oil for some of the joints even after heating. (Mostly the hips, elbows, and knees.) I put Vozlak with my Mythic Legions and VW with my GI Joe/Operation Monster Force/Valaverse display. (Before I knew that OMF was going to reuse him.) In the end, while I like both, I'm glad I only got the one Great Wolves figure given the amount of work it required.
The stuck joints are the lesser of two evils. I have seen too many good huge figures get ruined by loose joints that makes it hard for them to stand. Considering I’m only posing this once and then not touching it might be worth it.
you don't have to have loose or stuck joint. proper ball sockets can be tight without being stuck. no need for faceting or little nubbins. that's why it's stuck. smooth balls don't have to be loose. in fact, smooth balls tend to maintain their stiffness while faceted and bumpy balls tend to get loose because they are actually damaging the socket. You could see that in this video when I showed the left hip.
He a big bad wolf, gotta say I love werewolves figures and this guy is absolutely so great and the long arms I say are nice touch , since I say a werewolf needs to reach its prey as he chases them
Really wanted at least one of these, I really appreciate your construction breakdown on your reviews, the Hyde was excellent, I know to heat and apply silicone gel if required, I will grab one👍🏼
I love my werewolves, would love to collect all of them just to have that pack look on my self. Yes, with the old school werewolf the larger fangs are at the bottom. But technically in animals the canines are at the top.
I bought a heat gun for $15 and it blows a hair dryer away in speed and performance. Much hotter and much more targeted heat application. I had a Select Gladiator Hulk that I could not remove the head and it worked in 10 seconds. It also allows you to fix bent accessories in a matter of seconds.
I filled my sink with hot water from the faucet and let him soak for a while to loosen up the joints. It was still a bit scary to move joints for the first time afterward, but I love this werewolf. I'm only able to afford one, and went gray as well (I'd get them all if money wasn't an issue). Sorry about your hand situation; I'm sure BBTS will make good on it. Solid review as always, thanks! 👍
I personally think that if you have a blow dryer on hand you should always use it instead of hot water. The way certain types of paint react with water can vary and it only seems like a good solution for figures that don’t have a large amount of paint to begin with like ML or McFarlane figures. Water doesn’t even need to be that hot for it to potentially ruin the paint on a figure.
Having said all that, I have Dilim and Voltak! But they remained boxed because I am actually pissed I may have to perform all these additional steps to fully enjoy an expensive NOT A HOT TOY Collectable! Sigh…yet the aesthetics of these Werewolf designs simply cannot be denied! The Grey one you have reviewed brother Anthony, along with the brown one on the market are so appealing I may end up with a display of 4 unopened boxes of great looking toy box art in my detolf only 😂😂😅😉🤓
Great review! I ended up passing on these loosecollector wolves in favor of the furay wolves including the most recent monsterforce killoworg (grey repaint). The size of the LC werewolves is too big for my collection and the quality certainly isnt helping. I'd love to hear your thoughts about the furay version
Great review as usual. Are you planning to review the white one? Im curious about the joints on that one. I saw an older review and it had issues. Definitely tryn to get all 4. Hopefully the QC issues are fixed.
That black one might be an easy custom to turn into the Werewolf from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, just add brown shading and orange stomach/torso and voila!
Werewolves are my favorite monster, so these 4 were instant buys. White is my favorite, but they are all dope. My joints are super tight to, but I'm OK as long as I can get them into display pose, were they would stay. Hope BBTS can help with hand issue!
Furay Planet Veteran William is better. Should have gotten that one. The lower canine is in front, and the tail is way more articulated. The joints are also way better and smoother. They made the Master Weng Tiger you reviewed before.
@@brandonamezquita4501 Oh you're right. He brings up the Veteran William figure a couple times throughout the video, maybe he watched it while multitasking 😅
i got the black and the white ones. the white one only had a stuck elbow i had to heat up..the black one however...omg. every joint except the torso joints were stuck. i sat it in a warm pan of water and just kept putting more warm water in it for about 30 min. after that the joints were fine. im thinking of putting shock oil in them. they look amazing though. will probably get the other two.
Amazing looking figure and for the question yes Werewolves are pretty awesome especially the long snout faced ones. The articulation stiffness would be tough for stop motion and is a bummer in general but still probably the best Werewolf figure I've seen
I don't think there is a need to review each individually, but maybe one more video just going over the different sculpts and paint jobs of all the others. I am particularly interested in the black one, because in concept a black werewolf is super cool, but I'm also concerned that they are just using it to make a super cheap repaint that is all just unpainted plastic with no shading. Part of what makes Muraco look amazing to me is the paint job they gave him.
Indeed of the four wolves they each have unique head sculpts. The differences can be minor and some parts are very similar figure to figure. Some have ears swept back, some have ears pointed up. Some have thicker brows than others. Some have thicker beards than others and some have more wrinkled snouts. Again it is subtle but no two heads are exactly alike in sculpt.
I got the Black one and love it, but the limited thighs did suck but overall an amazing looking figure, I ran mine through hot water from my sink to loosen him up
I got Dilim. Thought he would be a cool looking bodyguard for my Lady Death figure. Must say this Muraco one looks really good. Love the coloring. My joints were extremely tight and I needed to use a heat gun to move the shoulders, neck, elbows and entire legs. Rather have tight joints than loose for sure. This figure is massive. Totally need to redo my display now as he won't fit with the other figures he was going to be displayed with.
I love the Veteran Williams figures as well as his other two forms. Giving a werewolf a chainsaw is just plain nuts and the Monster Force version with extra Wolverine claws and a gatling gun is crazy but the other thing is. I think the Veteran Williams works best against with the 6" figures and this works against the 7" figures. As a fiction character it doesn't matter but that's just my 2 cents.
Been waiting for mine to come in since July, all 4 variants look absolutely incredible. I would love more werewolf figures, prefer them vastly over superheroes or other figures. Id love to see you review the black one, Dilim.
So, I got all 4 of them. 2 from Big Bad and 2 from 5K. The black one from 5K seems like it was previously owned and returned. It was missing a knee cap and the joints had already been oiled with silicone. The knee cap isn't that big of a deal, it's hardly noticeable. But it looks like someone tried to do some work on it. The left hip joint is firm but will move without a ton of effort. I think someone managed to pop the leg off at the hip joint and maybe sanded down the facets a little bit or possibly the knobbies if it has them there. I think I'm going to try and do that (if it's even possible) and then maybe I can get these guys to be more play friendly. That's the only thing I can think of to do because even with heating and oil, they are very scary to try and pose.
Thanks for the review. Mythical creatures and archetypes take Number 2 priority in my collection so I've been keen to add a werewolf. The contenders are William and these Great Wolves, and the Great Wolves are winning me over a lot because I love the much more archetypal aesthetics, particularly the heads. They nail the generic werewolf image as much as the werewolves in Hugh Jackman's Van Helsing (a really dumb, bad movie but it had a schlocky appeal akin to Monke vs Lizard and got a number of design choices right), and I don’t even mind the long arms either; gives them an extra bestial quality. Only thing really holding me back now is that he's absolutely gigantic. If LooseCollector will read these comments for research, then I hope they can make shorter versions some years down the line. Be also interesting to see the other three reviewed. I've got zero interest in the white Great Wolf but LooseCollector's relatively (emphasis, that) new, so it'd interesting to see if QC issues pop up with the other three as well.
I have the grey one as well. My one elbow was very very stuck and needed a lot of heat to unstuck. The upper abs are still stuck. Need to try them in water instead of hairdryer to see if I can free it. .Otherwise awesome figure. I'm debating getting another but already have space issues and its mainly just a repaint.
I think the biggest flaw with Veteran William are the joints - being sooo tight (it looks like it's the same for this figure). Those Xesray minotaurs still has the best smoothness for joints from experience.
Love werewolves but don't have space for random ones. I'm hoping Storm gets to Talbain and the rest of the Darkstalkers but considering all the IP's they keep grabbing and them starting a new scale I'm starting to think that won't happen.
It's a very very nice figure, I just don't like werewolves that are just huge wolf people. I am thinking though if Neca does Rahzar from the 2012 turtles, it may turn out like this which I'm excited about.
I read it as Mococo lol... Anyway, this thing is amazing. Huge and powerful build, I wonder what a Werewolf by Night from Hasbro would look like next to something like this if they ever make one. Any time I see a figure like this makes me wonder why no company is trying to make Bloody Roar figures.
I have the grey version too. My only issue is the stuck joint on the right leg. I want to losen it with heat too but, i don’t have experience in loosening joints with heat. Any safe tips on the best method of loosening it with heat?
I have a alter beast werewolf action figure from jakks i bought him from walmart this year never played or heard of the game thought the figure looks cool.
Wow that comparison with Veteran William really sells me, I thought Veteran william was the best Werewolf figure until now Will you review the Lado Toys Liya when it releases?
Based on the QotD, which is no to me, I have my own question. The lines you don't collect, Masterverse and MotU Origins have a similar concept of the one in Marvel Legends. It's actually the motif of the line, every character basically have the same body molds. I never saw you addressing these lines and would like to hear your opinion, especially on Masterverse New Eternia, that gives the option to customize the figure in various different looks using just what's throw in the box with the figure, and they have better paint apps, like Viking He-man.
I got 2 right fist with the same wolf you have. Bigbadtoystore said to send the whole thing back, and they will refund me. I'm just going to keep it and order another. Are you sending yours back?
Yeah, I’ll grab one of these for sure. Hopefully some lube lets the joints work without heat, if not I’ll definitely be doing some slight sanding of the balls.
I prefer a werewolf in clothing because it’s more about the connection to its human form. You see a giant wolf in tattered clothes and you know it’s a werewolf, otherwise it’s just an anthropomorphic wolf.
Well said, I personally prefer the veteran Williams myself because of all the swappable options you have. This figure looks amazing, but the end of the day, it’s just a hulking werewolf with not much else
There's also the fact that loosecollector is a bait and switch trash company that show amazing promo pictures and really really crappy production figures. They also pay for positive reviews. Jay Hernandez review doe Hellwitch was CLEARLY him saying what they told him to say.
$100 for a figure I can't play with right out of the box? As much as I love how theses wolf figures look, I'll not be getting any of them. It's a shame because these things look amazing
It's kind of baffling how he tossed the Furay Planet werewolf under the bus here, but it's 20 bucks cheaper, it poses better, it's had two complete looks along with alternate portraits, hands and weapons. Yes, it has fewer points of articulation but the range is almost identical to Muraco despite that. I know cuz I just tested the range difference on both. Given how fucking amazing the 70 to 80 usd price point has been recently for large 1/12 scale characters with lots of accessories and forth goods, the litany of issues with this figure out of the box made this figure pretty disappointing for both my son and I who ordered expecting something more grand than VW. Shit, the patella and elbow points are actually glued on to the hinge in those joints and we know because after my kid's figure cooled back down the first time, the elbow got stuck and as he applied a little extra force to extend the elbow, the forearm suddenly popped, crashed into the elbow, and popped off. This is just not a good toy, not even at half it's price.
@@AnthonysCustoms entirely is doing a lot of work there. They're pretty close to the same size, they're quite similar in style if you opt for the whole wolf version of VW, except that he's more anatomical in execution. For example, his arms are still too long, but not as exaggerated as LooseCollectors, digitigrade feet and lower legs are the same points of articulation but without the dangerous and inhibitive over engineering, VW has the right jaw anatomy of a wolf... If you're going to accuse of me being in the bag for Furay Planet, it's only in contrast to your uncharacteristic nonchalance to the benefit of LooseCollector. That figure is a disaster, the sculpt is the area they did best and even that has issues. You can't accuse me dude, it's not my review in which my critical faculties failed. I don't know how you compare those two figures and in any way come out that the LooseCollector figure was superior. Between my son and I, we own both versions of the VW figure out now, and I've got the Monster Force version coming, AND we have two of the four LooseCollector Great Wolves. While his white VW did have some issues with the ball joints becoming a bit soft pretty soon after posing and swapping, neither of us had to heat a thing to swap hands, free articulation, swap body parts, etc. The pack out alone is worth more than the scale, at least in my house. If I were comparing them in public, I'd factor those things in, and you usually do, except here. You're harder on Marvel Legends. If you think this was an 8 out of 10 at 100 bucks just because of the size, how is Giant Man not 12 out of 10? Every single thing you critiqued about Giant Man is likewise an issue here, except for the depth of the shoulder placement in the torso. Most points of comparison would actually strike against the Great Wolf harder.
@@AnthonysCustoms yeah, and I'm pulling back up on "useful comparison" from a guy who pulls out a ruler to measure figure height in two systems of measurement. Go ahead my dude, usefully compare their height, their depth, while you're at it, try a protractor behind those elbows and let's see the useful comparison in actual units of how much difference lies between a decent single hinge elbow and a decent double hinge elbow. You jackass, you define useful comparison by the comparison you make, that ain't on me. There was a fine channel on TH-cam a bit ago called Articulated and they wanted useful comparisons so joint range of motion was shown in front of measuring tools so you could actually see the data yourself as a viewer not just rely on the reviewer's description. I don't need you to go that far, but if you're going to toss around phrases like "no useful comparison" you better be prepared to eat a bowl of shit. You don't make useful comparisons, as a choice, not because they're not available to make, but because you chose not to make them. I feel like I'm watching Shartimus Subprime over here.
I am not sure if you did this intentionally or not, but the left hand being turned 180 degrees literally bugged me of the entire video that I saw that hand. Also, does he have 2 right hands? :))
pls review imagination works luffy, im really doubting buying the figure because of articulation and the rubber torso, but otherwise its easily the best luffy figure out there.
It’s a fantastic piece in terms of its visual look 👀, that simply cannot be denied! However, for a high price Collectable that is Not a Hot Toy, or Mezco premium, its engineering of its articulation is actually quite EMBARRASSING 🙈! Loose Collectors have done a true DISSERVICE to its Niche market customer Collectors with this problematic movement designed!! In my 50 year collecting journey I seen some horrors to be sure, but in this day & age of technology & engineering talented minds, there is no excuse! Truly.😡😡🤓
Nice looking figure. I noticed the 2 right hands right away and was wondering if you were going to mention it or not. Hopefully they can get you a left hand.

Silicone shock oil works better than hot water when it comes to keeping a tight joint mobile.
I have the grey version too. My only issue is the stuck joint on the right leg. I want to losen it with heat too but, i don’t have experience in loosening joints with heat. Any safe tips on the best method of loosening it with heat?
If you use a hair dryer you should be fine. Just be thoughtful when moving the joint and don't just crank on it.
@ thanks, Anthony
I got the black one and a pair of hand that's same side :(
I wonder if it is some type of sick joke in the factory...
I have a alter beast werewolf action figure from jakks i bought him from walmart this year never played or heard of the game thought the figure looks cool.
Im buying all of them. I love werewolves.
Could do a tail swap with that smaller werewolf…. this is the best werewolf ever!
Looks like the first werewolf in Van Helsing
That's a very cool looking figure. Is it me or he has two right hands on the stand :P lol.
Ive used wd-40 to loosen with the straw extenson on the tip of the can to reach into the very small places
That's not a good idea. Use pure silicone
Wow that comparison with Veteran William really sells me, I thought Veteran william was the best Werewolf figure until now
Will you review the Lado Toys Liya when it releases?
Review them ALL brother Anthony 🤗🤓
There doesn’t seem to be a need to review all of them since there are only cosmetic differences. Loose Collector makes some incredible figures!
Do you recommend shock oil? Since heating it, still has issues.
Well I know which wolf to get. I'm just lookin for a werewolf. Always wanted one kinda like this.
this figure is awesome going to get the other versions
Looks cool
I love these wolfs his teet are spot on 2 a reel life wolve
they arent. the bottom canine teeth dont work like this irl
@AnthonysCustoms My grand pop had a neighbor who owned a wolve as pet & it had teets lkke dem are
I want him for my werewolf shelf but damn $100 idk especially with the qc issues i have heard about joints breaking and i didnt know about the hands
What if you use shock oil?
No really useful since the faceting is the problem and not just friction. It might do something but i wouldn't count on it
@@AnthonysCustoms Okay Thanks.
I used a tiny amount of shock oil on the hips of mine and that got them unstuck and able to move forwards.
Yeah, I’ll grab one of these for sure. Hopefully some lube lets the joints work without heat, if not I’ll definitely be doing some slight sanding of the balls.
lube wont likely help since the problem isn't too much friction.
I immediately saw the wrong left hand
Two right hands! 😢
I prefer a werewolf in clothing because it’s more about the connection to its human form. You see a giant wolf in tattered clothes and you know it’s a werewolf, otherwise it’s just an anthropomorphic wolf.
Maybe it's just a kinky werewolf 🤷
Well said, I personally prefer the veteran Williams myself because of all the swappable options you have. This figure looks amazing, but the end of the day, it’s just a hulking werewolf with not much else
@ same, I have the original brown Veteran Williams and the white lumberjack one.
I have the black one but man I gotta heat it up every time I wanna get him in some posses , i was gonna get all of em but naww I'm good now .
6:10 you are correct sir.
There's also the fact that loosecollector is a bait and switch trash company that show amazing promo pictures and really really crappy production figures. They also pay for positive reviews. Jay Hernandez review doe Hellwitch was CLEARLY him saying what they told him to say.
1:56 Werewolf vs Furry man
He's way too big and his joints are way too tight. I'd side with Williams for those reasons alone.
Why does he have two right hands?
This is just not a good toy, not even at half it's price.
what bus? you seem to be oddly invested in the Furay figure. I said there's no useful comparison. They're entirely different styles and sizes.
@@AnthonysCustoms I agree. They're like opposite ends of the spectrum as far as werewolf figures go, imo
I am not sure if you did this intentionally or not, but the left hand being turned 180 degrees literally bugged me of the entire video that I saw that hand. Also, does he have 2 right hands? :))
I think you missed part of the video.
pls review imagination works luffy, im really doubting buying the figure because of articulation and the rubber torso, but otherwise its easily the best luffy figure out there.
Based on their Goku, don't buy Luffy.
Well hopefully BBTS will send you a left gripping hand. Still this figure looks badass and yeah definitely will use a hair dryer and heat him up.
Truly.😡😡🤓
2 right hands 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Marvel legends should use this body and make a proper Sabertooth...just saying
I want a wolf fig without crazy proportions
Yesss, the review I’ve been waiting for from you!!
That's a dogman
Posing the figure looks like too much work for me.
why you got a right hand on his left arm? lmfao
