I totally agree with you .I purchased 4 wigs from temu, they were nothing like the pictures. Their pictures were showing PY pictures well I new they couldn't PY. When they came in and they are horrible and losing hair like you wouldn't believe. So yes, they are very cheaply made. There are a lot of great wigs that come from china, just know who you're buying from.
The first time I lost my hair I bought 2 wigs, an expensive one from a reputable company and a cheap one on eBay. I ended up wearing the eBay wig and donating the other more expensive wig. The second time around, I bought a $100 pixie wig shown with a picture of Jamie Lee Curtis. It was comically bad and unreturnable. So I went to a legit wig store, had a fitting, bought an expensive wig, and hated it :( I finally struck gold when I started watching TH-cam videos and educating myself. My go to is Ellen Wille Elan in metallic rooted blonde, it’s better than any hair I’ve ever had and I get a ton of compliments, huge confidence booster. All this to say it’s a tough journey, mistakes will be made, and thank goodness for excellent and compassionate content creators like Heywigsister❤❤
I’ve noticed the same practice on Amazon. For example, a wig listing for “Umeet Short Straight Blonde Bob Wig” has the model picture for Jon Renau’s Allure attached to it. So deceitful and confusing to an unsuspecting shopper. Thanks for lending your voice to make people aware of this fraud.
Looks like Amazon may not doing enough oversight of its merchants. There are certain things I won't buy on Amazon because you don't know how old the product is. I assume some merchants buy unsold products to resell on Amazon. The shelf life of some items is very important.
I personally have bought many wigs from Temu and I love them. In fact some of the colors are better than the big expensive wigs Ive got including fibers. Everyone has to make their own decision but I personally am sick and tired of being in financial distress over wigs spending $300 to $500 on each wig, only being able to buy one wig because of the price tag. I like having many wigs, many options and many colors and styles to choose from. I cannot do that with $300 to $400 wigs. Its financially a big ruin. I got myself into about $70,000 of credit card debt over wig buying and I'm just done with the expensive wigs. If I buy another expensive wig in the future it will be human hair. On Temu I have found dark brown wigs with the perfect lighter brown highlights that I have NEVER found in an expensive synthetic wig. We all have our own preferences but I would prefer to have 5 to 6 styles for $200 rather than 1 style that takes me 3 months to pay off before I can buy a new style. I hate it but synthetic wigs have gotten crazy expensive and the styles they are bringing out look blah.
Exactly....I've probably bought 4-5 wigs from Temu....maybe six moths ago.....paid $9-11 for each wig and they were all gorgeous....beautiful colors...natural looking roots too....the hair density was perfection on all of them.....a lot of the major wig companies I see reviews on daily on TH-cam are horribly wiggy, way too much fiber....my logic was I'm spending $40 on 4 wigs, even a secondary market name brand wig would be 3 and 4 times that price for one wig I won't end up wearing.....lol....None of the wigs I purchased had Denise or Taz's pics....I have seen their images on FB postings of wigs for sale.....so my take away is if theyre are no images used that you know to be someone such as a wig reviewer on TH-cam, go ahead and take the chance especially if the price is 10 times less than overpriced fiber with a designer label.....
I've bought wigs from temu and eventhough I don't need to wear wigs , cos my own hair is down to my bum. I found they are better quality than some real human hair wigs that cost thousands of dollars !! So im talking from experience here . Temus wigs are good quality very thick, maybe not all of em but the ones I ve got have been really nice
@sylvimichelle6447 Exactly!!! Same here! I've wasted so much money on synthetic wigs spending hard earned money only to have it last a couple months and become so ratty and stringy you can't even sell it. I cannot afford to buy human hair so my thought process is since I can't go to work bald and be the laughing stock of the office, at least I can find some good wigs on Temu, return the crappy ones I don't like, get a full refund as each order gives you a free return and keep the ones I like and have multiple synthetic styles that didn't cost an arm and a leg and I don't feel depressed that I spent $400 on one wig, no other styles to choose from while I'm slaving away to pay off that one wig meanwhile influencers get them sent for FREE, never have to spend their own money unless they want to to make the rest of us jealous of what we can't afford. I don't care what anyone says, if you want us supporting US based wig companies then bring the wigs back down to $100, make styles that look like human hair wigs instead of crappy looks, bringing the same styles out over and over under different names. Bring the prices down if you're gonna say don't buy from Temu because some of us work our butts off to BARELY get buy and we deserve nice wigs but after all the utilities are paid, mortgage is paid, car insurance is paid, gas is paid, food is paid, guess what?! There's no fun money to drop on a $500 wig, these US based wig companies are filthy RICH off of hair loss and off of the backs of women charging all these wigs they can't afford on charge cards to look and feel beautiful. That's what I had to do, put it all on charge cards and now I don't have those charge cards because they went into the debt relief program so Temu is my answer to getting different styles at a price that is AFFORDABLE for the average 9 to 5 working woman who has no husband who will say honey I'll buy you that wig. If I want jewelry, a wig I have to work OVERTIME just to get it and when you have diabetes and health problems that's not easy. I'm sick of hearing don't buy from Temu but it's okay to blow your entire paycheck on one wig or better yet you can only have one wig every 3 months because they're so expensive and you can only support US based businesses. I have about 20 wigs from Temu now and love all of them. I also found shoes that look like the "Hey Dude" brand, super cute, super comfortable and I found alot of throw on and go dresses, super comfy for spring and summer. Not everything they have is great but I just send back what I'm not keeping and I always get a free return label and a full refund of the returned items and I can have fun with MANY different wig styles instead of one $500 synthetic that feels like trash after a few wears.
can you give an example of any wig you bought off Temu. I am interested in trying just one. I myself buy all the expensive synthetics and this is a huge curiosity. Thanks much.
@@fabulousglamlifeWell said! Since loosing my hair this past Fall, I’ve purchased three expensive wigs, and some very cute inexpensive wigs on Temu and Amazon. I was very surprised by their decent quality. With these online sellers, there’s no shipping deductions or restocking fees that high cost wig manufacturers charge for their synthetic wigs, many of which, are also made overseas! That they steal pics is not cool, and those people whose pics are stolen should maybe file a class-action suit if that’s a feasible option for them, but since all wig photos are made public, maybe copyright laws don’t apply.
Aww Max is so adorable. I just wanted to say it's not just Temu, I've found pictures on Amazon of a friend who I won't name names is a wig reviewer on TH-cam and IG and they stole her picture. I pet her know as well but it wasn't her only one. People are terrified these days.
That is the problem! People become afraid to trust anything and then they freeze and don't buy even when they are suffering. I was scammed on some window film I saw an ad for and I was so mad at myself! I no longer trust Instagram or Facebook ads. It is horrible that they companies don't care and are willing to accept ad money from anyone no matter their intentions. I see wig reviewers pictures on these scam sites all the time!
I love seeing Max! He was just trying to help his Mama🤗 This info is Very Good and Much Needed. Sending Love & Hugs to you and your Family, God Bless you Dearest ❤️ 😊 😙💞💕
Most of the 15 synthetic wigs I’ve bought from Temu are amazing & so natural looking. I pay attention to the item details/description and reviews before purchasing. I know most of the time any photos used are not the actual product but more of a guideline. Why pay more?! 🤷🏻♀️
I'm glad you have had success... I am so concerned about the workers creating those super cheap wigs. How can they afford to pay them a decent wage with those prices is what I wonder. I also realize there are different sellers on Temu, but for me the risk is too great. We all have to do our best, though. HUGS!
Just FYI...I see the exact same wig images used on Amazon all the time..but I do believe you often suggest buying from Amazon? Practically everything you or I buy in this country comes from China. I shop Temu all the time. Some of their stuff is junk. But alot is equal to anything you would buy at WalMart, Ross or TJMaxx. But I have had NO issue with returns or refunds if I don't want something. We all pick our battles.

@@barbaradandrea5995 We're all in agreement that stealing pictures is wrong......the point is are all sellers and items on Temu fraudulent....the answer is NO.....I've purchased from them over twenty times with no issues with the merchandise or the shipping arriving timely.....
@@barbaradandrea5995 I agree. To each his/her own I guess. Stealing pictures is not only dishonest, but also illegal in this country. However, Temu is based overseas and does not have the same standards as the United States does. If I were a content creator, I would band together with other content creators and sue the crap out of Temu which might be money down a black hole considering the ability to collect on a judgment if one were to be issued in the content creators' favor. If consumers want to risk their money on cheap wigs, go for it. The wig Denise is wearing in this video looks nice except on the top. The top looks really cheap and obvious she is wearing a wig to me. I choose not to do so not only because it takes money out of a content creators' pocket, but I despise unethical practices from some of these countries located outside of the United States.
Just came from TEMU looking at wigs! They're actually using pictures of Raquel Welch in a few of her wigs while not acknowledging that the wigs they're selling are not Welch's. Also, I don't know how anyone can choose a wig when the photos of the same wig make they look so different. Some photos show a longer cut while the main photo shows short hair and versa visa. The photos for the same wig are not on the same model so they look very, very different - I know that a wig can look different based on model's facial structure, neck length, etc., but these are vastly different. Thanks for you comments.
I just bought 4 Temu wigs recently just for fun. Really wanted to see what it would be like to wear a wig because my hair is so short. I thought all 4 were decent. I’m sorry they have stolen your pics. That is wrong. But the wigs I bought weren’t so bad. Love your channel! All the wigs you model are super cute on you!
I'm really surprised to hear your review of Temu. I've never had one terribly negative issue with Temu. If something was faulty, they would instantly give me a refund and just tell me to keep the faulty item rather than posting it back and just tell me to dispose of it in anyway I felt fit. I've only had three items faulty out of about 350 purchased items. As for clothing items, not a 100% issue but from memory, four items out of approximately 50 pieces weren't spot on to keep me satisfied. The material in the items was my biggest issue with those four items. More synthetic fiber which made the items look like bathing suit material which was yuck. With any item I purchase, I like to leave a review and if it's negative, Temu always offer to provide me with a refund. I've only ever taken refunds for faulty items and a couple of shoes that didn't fit only because I didn't realize I was buying sizes in US size and not UK but Temu offered me a refund and no return. I took the refund and purchased bigger size. As for wigs, I have just purchased 5 cheap wigs on Temu. Just received 3 of the 5 in the first package. They feel real, look as advertised. It's a bit of a learning curve for me to get the right style and colour. Two I purchased I knew wouldn't suit me but I purchased basically as wishful thinking 😁 The styles are just too long for me so I trimmed up one last night and things look much better but still a bit iffy. Will see how the next two are when they arrive in the next package.
As with everything, there is good and bad with Temu. My biggest problem is the dishonestly in the stolen pictures... and I have heard form a few women who said that wig that was advertised is not the wig they purchased. At least there is a good return policy, but I think it is important for new wig wearers especially to know about the dishonest practices, and if they still choose to support companies that do that, at least they are doing it with eyes wide open. I also have to question how every person who works for these companies is treated, though... I mean, if a wig is only $10 how can they be paying decent wages to the people making them? We each have to make a decision that sits well with our conscience, right?
@@heywigsister I agree. I do ponder over things you have mentioned but I do know the prices on Temu are a lot cheaper because they have cut out the middle man with the selling, therefore they are basically selling items as close to manufacturing costs. Have to question Amazon too! So many people have been complaining about them of late. Review sites have a large percentage of bad reviews for them. They are selling faulty products and making it super difficult for people to contact them or simply gain a return. Pricing has been terrible lately and I've experienced this first hand. I have some of my products distributed through my POD site onto Amazon. Amazon have the option to accept or decline any of my products and 99% have been accepted. Here is the issue with my products on Amazon. I nominate the price and with most of the pricing I basically sacrifice my own compensation just so to keep the price down for customers but I'm finding Amazon have been pricing my products way above my nominated price, even to 3 times the nominated price. I've tried to contact Amazon about this pricing to see if it's a technical issue but when I did, they flogged me off to another connected site which told me, it's nothing to do with them. After not seeing the price being corrected I went about contacting my distributor in case it was an error on their end, I attempted to contact Amazon again but found the log in verification just went round and round, repeating continuously on both my personal and business account. I attempted to contact Amazon support but that just sent me on the round and round in circles verification bizzo again. In the end, I joined the long list of adding a negative review on the review sites. Can't say I've encounter anything of sorts with Temu customer service etc. I just hope they never become like Amazon because Amazon has lost it's transparency and care factor.
I need to make another video about that!!! I just watched a video someone made 2 years ago about scams in the clothing industry... it is everywhere!!! I was scammed on an Instagram ad buying window film of all thing, ugh! I think I am so savvy about scams and then that knocked my ego down a bit.
I've bought many many hing from them and I've been very happy with everything. As far as that wig goes, it would look good if you brushed the part back and loosened it up with the blow dryer. I can understand they used another picture, but the wig itself wouldnt be that bad with a little tweaking. I've styled many like that and they end up looking really good
Thanks for this video , Facebook is doing the same thing they use real wig pictures on legitimate websites and send you a totally different thing it happened to me , I was so mad and disappointed! Never again will I order anythingthat is advertised on facebook . Sadly Temu is the same wig wigs or toppers , very disappointing . Thanks for talking about this issue.
I have watched most of your content and whatever you are doing is working. You look absolutely GORGEOUS, bad wig or not. You’re beautiful and I’m guessing just as beautiful on the inside. ❤
I think we should have Max in ALL the videos - ha! He's so cute. :o) As for the WICKED WIG SCAMMERS, I so agree with you. I've seen some on eBay, too. They have a stock photo, but they don't show a picture of what they're actually selling. THANKS for all your reviews! Annette
Yesterday I was looking at a wig on Amazon. One of the models was none other than Khloe Kardashian. Oh Please! No Kardashian is supporting a $40 wig on Amazon. It was reeeeediculous. Yes I know I spelled ridiculous incorrectly to make a point :) Thank you for the Temu warning. It should be taken seriously. I have started reading many of the reviews prior to purchasing. Especially reviews that state a wig sheds. I learned my lesson on that one. Jon Renau has always given me quality wigs. I still have Jon Renau Eve that I purchased five years ago.
This is what 'WISH' does too. I ordered 2 wigs from them. Mainly just for fun & bc they were so cheap. But you really do get what you pay for. They were like cheap halloween costume wigs. Lesson learned!
I purchased 2 wigs from Temu to practice on (good thing). First one, long and curly. Defective part. Contacted Temu, they refunded and told me to keep the wig. Second one, bob, was flat on top and had a horrible odor. They again refunded. My practice with any company like Temu or Amazon is...if I don't see the actual pic of the wig I won't look further, but I am not inclined to do that with a company that does steal pics from reputable companies. Temu also has the practice of taking fake pics with any item. Everything in real life is smaller than the pics or they have hidden some portion of the item so you can't see the problems. Good for you Denise - I support you 100% and it is a comfort to watch videos from someone so honest. God is proud of you girl!
Always look at the picture of the real wig on a dummy head. That gives you a real picture. I bought one to see how bad it would be as I knew I could return it. It was THAT bad. My husband caught a glimpse and said it looked like I had a dead animal on my head! Got my money back so no great loss. Beware!
I agree but will go one step further. I always want to see it on a real human model. Years ago I bought a wig from TV shopping channel. Just the style I wanted, but whenI received it, it was much shorter because the dummy's head they used was much smaller than a human's.
Do you shop on Amazon? You’re not buying from Amazon the company, you’re buying from individual sellers. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s not. But, Amazon will honor your return and refund you. I’ve never bought from Temu. But if I did, I’d expect a party wig from them for $9. I certainly wouldn’t expect a $300 (or more) wig for $9. No matter what site I’m buying from. Common sense. While it’s nice of you to say “no judgement.” I hope no one watching this is on the edge of their seat waiting to see if you approve of it or not.
I own a wig salon. I primarily sell wigs from Noriko, Rene of Paris lines. I got a message from a friend who works in the salon to look at Shein and Temu. Over 23-25 stolen photos of MINE were up there. I despise thieves!!!!!!!!!!!
You are absolutely right in everything you say however it is also a imoral thing that in order to buy a beautiful wig we have to spend 1000, or more euros or dollars. This is not a scam but there is no possible reason ( unless it is made of gold) to have to spend so much money to have a decent wig.
Really appreciate this video. In the UK it is possible to obtain preloved, reconditioned wigs if you are struggling financially from Diamond Wig Bank North East. I think there are others too. .
Denise, you’re beautiful, honest, and I trust your opinion more than many others who review online. You gave the information w/o saying anything negative towards any certain brand, company, individual….and that’s why I will always continue to support you. Stay blessed my friend.😊
🎉👊👏👏👏🤝 I ignore the TEMU adverts scince they appeared, them price’s are unreal and as I searched myself, they cheat on people! It’s up to people to do some research themselves and they find enough, if they would use common sense! Doesn’t cost two minutes! Regards from Germany Denise, nice to see you around 😊
Oh wow! You have confirmed what I suspected.......that what you get is not what they say they are selling. I will no longer be buying from Temu and have deleted the app from my tablet. I think you will also find other companies doing the same.....URWigs for one. Also I suspect Light In The Box also. I was so embarrassed - and very angry - when my hairdresser set about trimming the 4 wigs I had bought. They blunted a whole pack of scalpel blades which, if the hair was what it was advertised as being, wouldn't have happened. It won't happen again. Thank you for the warning. I wish you well. Best regards from the UK.
Thank you for sharing. Sad for all the dishonesty taking place now days. Personally I buy nothing from Temu. I only buy from Godiva secret wigs. I also ended up buying a cheapie wig and ended up throwing it away it was so awful. But Godiva's are so lovely.
I had purchased (3) from Temu and was so disappointed- you are exactly right - they steal the pictures from the Paula Young website and from other websites, as well. The wigs are absolutely horrible. The fibers are terrible. The wefts were showing through, they are thick and very poorly made. I did contact them and they did refund my money - but the hassle is just not worth it! Be very cautious!
lol must say you are blessed at making even a cheap crapy wig look good, as Rod Stuart said you wear it well, I got some cheap wigs the first one I was so so sad about, but what I learned from this experience, is that I would not be seen dead wearing that wig and not to colour my hair back dark so for that reason I was glad I got it and realised it was a mistake to colour my hair back dark so really was money well spent, got other ones to practice colouring them with clothes dye and rubbing alcahol and practice cutting before i got a more expensive one and ruined it, great video thanks
I agree with you Denise. I have been watching you for awhile. The picture on my profile was my first wig from Paula Young in 2005. At the time, they were considered a low budget wig outlet, but my wig was wearable. Now about Temu. I bought some wigs, but did not fall prey of their stock pictures which I too recognized as stock photos of major brands. The wigs are heavy, their colors are awful & they look fake. Temu, Wish & Alex press are cut from the same mold. Yes, we all had hard times, however, PayPal offers extended payment option as I just purchased wigs & I'm paying in 4 payment installments, so does QVC & HSN which I purchase wigs & other things from them. Keep on what you are doing & educate us!!! By the way you look great!!!!!
I had someone either steal my photos of a topper I am selling and was asking fir more photos. The person was asking many ppl in our group for more photos and such and was luckily banned from our wig group. I now will be marking my photos but I dont think it will stop that form of stealing. I think it is horrible that they stole your photo(s) and I see stolen photos in beauty stuff on those sites often. I don't buy those things bc I know they are not trustworthy. Thank you for brinjng this up.
I've ordered a few items and you have to be careful, because the size of many I've bought was much smaller than you might assume from the photos. I wanted a new cover for my square tissue boxes, but the measurement's wouldn't fit a US box. It was smaller. Sizing seems to based on Asian products and clothing sizes. Not saying not to buy from them, just be sure of the sizing. Temu is pretty good at indicating this info.
I remember when I bought a wig off Wish many years ago. I wore it for my 50th birthday and it was a pretty good one. It was long black with bangs...that said they didn't do what Temu has done and it disgusts me. They also do it with clothing brands such as Beautiful Disaster. Rebel Gypsy is another scam too
There are other on line retailers that have better priced and do not steal anything or manipulate people into thinking they are getting one thing, which infact, they are not.
I have ordered 4 wigs at one time temp never again! I never saw them at all! So glad ur warning our u tubers about temp. If You are he least curious about these temp, don’t do it they screw people!
Denise, as always, thank you for this very illuminating content. With that said, you look positively glowing. You look so healthy and radiant. Love, love that color on you too. Max is absolutely adorable (I have three pooches myself). Sending positive vibes.
I buy lots from Temu, but yeah when it comes to wigs I recommend looking for those wigs that have mannequin heads, those with actual people you can tell the difference, if it shows people only then keep scrolling..I haven’t brought any but I been looking around..
I reported one of these companies using the videos of wig creators to Instagram. I was told they weren’t doing anything wrong and their videos would continue. I’m sorry this is happening to creators who have put in so much time and effort.
We have to remember that China does not recognize any copy rite laws. They will use anything they want in their companies. You really have to do your research if you are buying cheaper wigs. That said I have watched some new wig wearers post videos on TUMU and the wigs were horrifying. Some wigs on Amazon are good, but if you pay 10 dollars for a wig, you have to expect a 10 dollar wig! Thanks for this video. I am on a fixed income now so I have explored Amazon wigs. Most have cost 25 to 50 dollars, and most have been nice and have held up to wear. Plus I love long hair and they have super nice fiber and longer styles that I can afford.
I totally understand what you're saying about sellers using other peoples/designers photos to sell their products, but I have to add that Temu has a 90 day free return policy. And they also have 30 day price adjustment as well. So it's kind of unfair to say people are getting ripped off or scammed through Temu because I've never had an issue being refunded. And actually, one time one of my orders showed that it was delivered but I never received it and they reimbursed the full cost of the order without a hassle. Anyway, I just felt the need to clear that up for anyone that hasn't ordered from Temu.
I understand what you are saying, but selling a product with stolen pictures is dishonest and scammy. Just because they have a good return policy doesn't make it ok that they do that, and supporting companies that do just encourages more of the same, in my opinion. It is too bad that we can't have budget pieces without the dishonest practices.
Daughter, 22, is going through chemo and we bought two inexpensive ones on Amazon, a more expensive one (real hair, lace front) from a retailer (returned), and a $12 wig from Temu. The Temu wig is the only one she wears now. She LOVES it, most her friends think it’s her real hair (those who don’t know about cancer/chemo), and one of her friends even asked for a photo of her so that she can go to her hairdresser to replicate the style. I ended up buying two more of the same wig from the SAME vendor (knowing that the wig was good and that other sellers on Temu steal product photos) so that she will have the same ‘hair’ throughout chemo and during regrowth. I am sorry that your pictures were stolen by sellers on Temu, but not all Temu sellers are bad…we’ve had very good luck with the one we got!
That's sooo! Cute!! You're playing ball with your cutie! Fur baby .... ..while you're doing your video. Thank u! 4 your info. On wigs. Greatly! 👍 🤗.....💘
I purchased 2 wigs based on their photo. They were awful! Way too small for my small head and orange in colour. They offered me a refund of about a tenth of what I paid for them. So I called my credit card company and they the cancelled the charges, so I got a full refund. I did have to get a letter from my hairdresser indicating they did not fit the description in the photo on their website. This might be an option for others how have gotten scammed.
Weighing in with my two cents. There are different sellers on Temu, just like on Amazon, so it's probably not actually Temu stealing the photos. For example, I was looking for acrylic brooches and there were at least 4 different sellers. I have bought jeans on Temu and liked every pair. On the other hand, I have bought many tops and have only found a few that I was satisfied with the quality of. I think it's definitely prudent to read all the info and the reviews, but they do offer free returns. I was scrolling through one day and did see a wig with Taz's picture. This is definitely wrong!
I bought a lot from them during the holidays. Most clothing came without tags and the sizes were all over the place. However, they were well made and unique. Everything else, I saw deception in their advertising. You think you’re getting a decent sized child’s toy, and it ends up being small enough to swallow. I’m careful to read reviews as well, so I’m not sure they’re completely legit. All of that to say this…it’s a gamble!
@@heywigsister I can almost guarantee Temu does not vet their sellers. Temu is located overseas in a country I will not name because of TH-cam censorship issues. However, many of those retailers located overseas in that country are unethical. I would not go so far as to say all the retailers are unethical but many are.
I just bought a “Raquel Welch” fascination from eBay. Turns out the seller hid the “euro hair” label. The wig was garbage and I just threw it in the trash Needles to say, I wouldn’t buy from the Texas country store again
I have never and will never buy from any company like this!! They are frauds simple as. Thanks for making this video Denise we need more lets flood the wig community just like they do 👌 btw lovely to see sweet Max 🐾🐾
I recently purchased a temu wig, a synthetic only cost $15, it very pretty and much better than name brand Angelica. So I bought 5 more. Not every wig from temu is good, but I can’t afford $300 for a wig only last a few months.
I would NEVER, EVER buy ANY wig from ANY company, EVER, EXCEPT from a REPUTABLE company !! There are several channels on YT and the women who run them (Sorry, I do NOT know the correct term) are ALWAYS trying to "PUSH" them. I wrote one lady & said "the wigs she was showing, are EXACTLY what they look like, EIGHT DOLLAR WIGS & NOTHING more, OR to wear on Halloween".
You can't find good wigs on Temu due to its business model. Sellers lack pricing power, as Temu tracks the lowest prices and pressures suppliers to match them. Since wig quality varies greatly, the lowest price often means the lowest quality materials. If a seller clears inventory at a loss, Temu requires other sellers to lower their prices too or face removal from the platform. To keep selling, merchants must cut costs, leading to declining quality.
While sharing this, I need to say that 3 years ago when I started my week journey, I purchased wigs from Amazon that was using Taz and some others (manufacturer) pictures I guess -to scam me into buying something that was a substandard wig. Even as a newbie, I could tell these wigs were not what I ordered and I didn’t get the right colour either, Luckily due to Amazon prime I was able to send them back however, I did order a wig from here in Canada and they refused to take it back. Luckily, I didn’t spend too much money on it because I spent the money that I paid for it and postage to send it back and never got that money back. So better to buy from a good wig reviewer and her sources (one with lots of videos like yourself and Taz, Marlene, and crazy wig lady a few of those others) than to get scammed!!
Maybe they stole pictures, that of course its badm but i personally never saw. Actually Temu wigs are surprising good . Fibers are much natural looking and fill , compare to those overpriced high $ brand wigs. That Ignite what you showing in video, in life actually looks very wiggy, because fibers tick. Yes maybe hairline it's better , but still looks like wig. . And you can buy Temu wigs , try on , and you can send back. Definitely its not scam company
Bought a 100% human blonde hair wig from Temu, looked incredibly fake, not because of the hair quality but because of the wig's lace and scalp. Not enough hair at the front, very thin, def not 150% density. Immediately arranged a return.
Wigs are so expensive. I was diagnosed with thyroid issues 2 years ago. And my hair, that used to be so thick and curly. Where I couldn't even put a ponytail in without the band breaking. Has completely thinned out, falls out in clumps DAILEY. Within the past 2 months, i started having to look at wigs. Im a single mom, work my butt off, and financially CAN NOT afford ANY of the "good" wigs out there. Let alone a human hair one. Yes its wrong they steal pictures, but some of use have no choice. I wish the wig industry was just a little bit more affordable. Especially for us girls with a medical issue that cause our hair to fall out or thin. 2000 dollars is just insane to me. I actually think that wig looks really good on you. I wish i could find one that did that for me. The 2 I got so far have been from Amazon and the caps are too big and the hair is heavy. Because i dont wear bangs cause it doesnt look good on me. The wigs look like wigs. I need to find just one where i feel good in. And I'd be SO happy. Every industry theres gonna be scams and untoward practices. Its greedy, crappy people in this world. Unfortunately. I pray some day soon i can find one affordable and wearable. So i can feel confident again with my hair and look. Or for my hair to please stop falling out so bad.
Hey Denise ... thanks for this ... I'm going to play a couple of minutes of your video on my channel. Naturally, I will link your channel. I think it would be a great idea for all wig reviewers to do the same ... I haven't seen your photo yet but I have seen Taz's and Sandie's from Coco's Hair Solution. I remember Taz said in her video she tried and tried to effect change but to no avail. I dealt with Temu ONCE, NEVER AGAIN. God bless you, my wig sister. Loved seeing you playing with your dog Max! LOL "Ange" ...
That's great! That may be the one thing they have over a fake company... but they are still engaging in dishonest practices and stealing the work of others and using it to misrepresent what they are selling.
@shelliwebster2255 I agree and fully support USA businesses but the prices in the USA need to come down or we are gonna support other countries because the prices here in the USA are outrageous. I'm sick of paying $300 to $400 for one wig. At least with Temu I get 5 to 6 wigs and I prefer the look and styles over my expensive ones that I've literally trashed my money on.
Don't use kimwigs. They say they refund but don't. It's been 4 months and still unresolved. Now they've gone completely quiet and I need my refund of £180.
"A virtuous woman (Denise!) is more precious than jewels"- Proverbs 3:15
Thanks for this, Denise. I see these stolen images every day from scam wig companies. HUGE red flag. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your dog!!!!!
People are starting to call Amazon - Fleabay. In the last 7-8 months ago, I have been receiving inferior, cheap items from Amazon.
Looks like Amazon may not doing enough oversight of its merchants. There are certain things I won't buy on Amazon because you don't know how old the product is. I assume some merchants buy unsold products to resell on Amazon. The shelf life of some items is very important.
Thank you so much for calling out the practices of unethical companies!
He was just trying to help his Mama🤗
This info is Very Good and Much Needed.
I agree with you 100%! Exactly my point!!! Read anything you buy including on Amazon and its made in China. @@fabulousglamlife still, stealing pictures is really dishonest
Your pup is adorable, I really enjoyed seeing him "helping" you.
We love him so much!!
I see scams all of the time on Instagram and I ALWAYS call them out to warn others!
I need to make another video about that!!! I just watched a video someone made 2 years ago about scams in the clothing industry... it is everywhere!!! I was scammed on an Instagram ad buying window film of all thing, ugh! I think I am so savvy about scams and then that knocked my ego down a bit.
I so agree with you. I’m an older lady with hair loss & on a fixed income. I’d never buy a wig from temu
Yes, ethics matter!
I have watched most of your content and whatever you are doing is working. You look absolutely GORGEOUS, bad wig or not. You’re beautiful and I’m guessing just as beautiful on the inside. ❤
Your shirt color looks so good on you!
Im loving the shepherd. I have shepherds. It just shows how much he loves you.
Thank you Denise for this valuable information.... OMGOSH i love your interaction with your pup! You are a multitasking lady! My love & respect😊
I think there are others too. .
I only buy from Temu and shein cuz that’s all I can afford
Just as bad as boutiques like Rebel Gypsy, who buy cheaper beauty store brands and sell them way marked up and say they are "custom".
Denise, you’re beautiful, honest, and I trust your opinion more than many others who review online. You gave the information w/o saying anything negative towards any certain brand, company, individual….and that’s why I will always continue to support you. Stay blessed my friend.😊
Thanks for sharing this information, Denise.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much. When I suddenly lost all my hair, it was overwhelming. You have been so influential in guiding me through my journey. Bless you ❤
You are so welcome! Thank you for taking time to comment and share!
Hi, Gaby! So great to "see" you! I hope you are well, HUGS!
Denise I'm a dog lover. Max comes first!! lol Always enjoy your videos. Blessings Alway
This wig would be decent lookin IF you wear a beanie over it. That's about it. It's a gamble. Thanks, Denise for exposing these scammers.
I love Godiva's Secret Wigs and their website. They also offer wonderful advice and their wigs are beautiful.
I don’t trust Temu. But most importantly, I LOVE the appearance of your giant puppy!! 🐾 Love it so much
Thank you Denise ❤
There are so many of them out there. So sad. Thanks for the video, My friend. I am hoping we can all learn from it. ❤
Thank you, Denise! Can you please go into more detail about your jewelry, and that gorgeous top?
Thank you for sharing. Sad for all the dishonesty taking place now days. Personally I
buy nothing from Temu. I only buy from Godiva secret wigs. I also ended up buying a
cheapie wig and ended up throwing it away it was so awful. But Godiva's are so
lovely.
Thank you so much!! I am so grateful for wig sisters like you, and your words are so helpful!
Next, let’s talk about REBEL GYPSY!!!!
I don't have any experience with that brand, but have heard of it. Did you have a bad experience?
I had heard negative experiences from friends who have ordered from temu but now I for sure won't order from them. Thanks for your review.
My pleasure 😊
Rebel Gypsy is another scam too
Denise, thank you for making this video! By the way, you are looking FANTASTIC!!!!!
There are other on line retailers that have better priced and do not steal anything or manipulate people into thinking they are getting one thing, which infact, they are not.
Could you tell us what companies you are referring too? I want to check them out
I have ordered 4 wigs at one time temp never again! I never saw them at all! So glad ur warning our u tubers about temp. If You are he least curious about these temp, don’t do it they screw people!
I agree with you Denise!
Denise, as always, thank you for this very illuminating content. With that said, you look positively glowing. You look so healthy and radiant. Love, love that color on you too. Max is absolutely adorable (I have three pooches myself). Sending positive vibes.
I reviewed them when I seen the prices. It does state that there products r not the actual picture but a cheaper version.
Yes! Many go thru this with unethical wig sellers:/
I'm so glad you had good success! Seems to be hit or miss. Sending hugs for your daughter and you while she battles cancer. Prayers as well!
That's sooo! Cute!!
You're playing ball with your cutie! Fur baby .... ..while you're doing your video.
Thank u! 4 your info. On wigs.
Greatly! 👍
🤗.....💘
Thanks 🤗 glad u liked my comment. 👍
Thank yo so much for sharing this, Gina! I don't really know how Temu works... so it sounds a bit like Amazon? Wonder how they vet their sellers?
Agree, have had the same problem. Always. Always check the actual measurements on the site.
They also have fake Tati Beauty makeup.
Really well stated. Well done, thank you!
Thank YOU!! HUGS!
I just bought a “Raquel Welch” fascination from eBay. Turns out the seller hid the “euro hair” label. The wig was garbage and I just threw it in the trash Needles to say, I wouldn’t buy from the Texas country store again
Thank you❤
I have never and will never buy from any company like this!! They are frauds simple as. Thanks for making this video Denise we need more lets flood the wig community just like they do 👌 btw lovely to see sweet Max 🐾🐾
I reported an item listed on eBay that was using a stock photo. eBay never took the listing down.
I recently purchased a temu wig, a synthetic only cost $15, it very pretty and much better than name brand Angelica. So I bought 5 more. Not every wig from temu is good, but I can’t afford $300 for a wig only last a few months.
I'm so glad you got some good ones!
I’ve gotten some decent wigs there because I cannot afford the good ones.
I'm glad to hear it! I have a very hard time with the dishonesty but definitely understand the need. HUGS!
I’m hoping to save up for a fully hand tied one or just make one myself eventually. Someday, maybe!
I just sold my unused/barely used toppers on Poshmark. While it is hard to buy, it is also hard to sell 😕
Max is adorable!!!!!!!
We love him so much!!
I've bought 4 wigs from TEMU and I Love Love them. So get your facts straight Lady. Get Lost
Denise what about companies like "wig Party" and" Chic Lifestyle Inc". Have you ever purchase wigs from them? They look like they have beautiful wigs?
Hi, Max!
So cute Max!
I don't think it looks that bad. I have bought a few from Paula Young and they were terrible and had to return them.
To be honest, I think it is a really decent wig except for the very top, which can be covered. Why do they have to be dishonest, though?
Temu refunded me easily.
That's great! That may be the one thing they have over a fake company... but they are still engaging in dishonest practices and stealing the work of others and using it to misrepresent what they are selling.
Would never buy from Temu. Read bad reviews on them
Thank you for this info.. I have never used Temu. Never betray USA businesses … ❤
As a Canadian, I buy Canadian all the way! Support my local businesses! They are so appreciative
@@clairedenise111 which Canadian online wig store do you suggest? Nova Scotia here
All the wigs I purchased from them were garbage!!! I’ll never buy again!!!
Their Toppers are THE worst. DONT buy it! Even if it’s totally cheap. You’ll never wear it!
Don't use kimwigs. They say they refund but don't. It's been 4 months and still unresolved. Now they've gone completely quiet and I need my refund of £180.
thank you
There was orb or ? Go behind you then go over your head as you said hair on nose😮 wow
Denise you look so beautiful. No wonder they use your pic! 🤣
Awwww, thank you!!!
