I have Alva. Picked her up a few months back on clearance and haven’t worn her out yet even though I think she’s real cute. I too found her bangs too be too long for me but already sort of “messed up” by trying to cut them with a straight scissor. I still think I can salvage the overall look via your hot air brush technique, even if it’s too late for the bangs. I just don’t know HOW we all fell into this fantabulous blessing to have such a SWEET and CARING, KNOWLEDGEABLE, sister like you to hold our hands and show us the way. We are so grateful for you, Denise
I have several Alvas, all of them have natural parts with peramatease except my ICED MOCHA R. It had a flat, nasty looking birds nest part. I was not happy but God gave me an idea, I picked up parts of my part on both sides & steamed under the part. It looks just as good as the other Alvas
I don't know if you will see this, but I want to trim the bangs on a cheap Amazon wig, and I think that your advice will be what I need. Denise, you are one of the kindest, sweetest women I've ever met ( well, sort'a). The holy Spirit is evident in your heart and words.❤️
I am brand new to wigs. I haven’t even had the guts to wear one out in public yet. I have purchased 3 and want to thin them a bit, do something to the bangs etc, and I LOVE watching your videos! You’re patient, kind and soooo knowledgeable! Thank you!
Absolute fantastic transformation. You are such a gem for us that are challenged in the fixing of a wig department.. This now looks so much more realistic! Awesome job.
Thank you so much Denise! I am new to wigs and have been so frustrated with my wig journey. I have ruined some really expensive wigs by thinning too much, ect . In an effort to style them to look more natural. I really appreciate your videos. You are helping so many people❤ Thank you!!!! I would love to do videos and help others the way you do. Maybe one day I will have your confidence. Lol
Sweetie you have helped me so so much I could not even begin to tell you what a huge blessing you are to the beginning of my journey. I have not even found a wig yet, as I have to be very financially careful, so I've been wearing scarves for the last couple months. I ordered a couple cheap ones just a test my toes there was so horrified I thought I would never have the confidence to have a wig, just playing with one of my cheap ones I swear to God I felt like a beautiful princess!!! You and your videos alone are the only thing that has helped me thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
I am not a wig wearer! I have longer blonde colored hair! For about 20 years I had my hair cut in a pixie! I loved loved loved it! About 5 years ago I decided to go my hair out and I love it, but I keep It in some sort of up doo all the time! I saw some pixie wigs that I love! I thought about getting one! I got a $20 wig off Amazon, not exactly pleased! I don’t know what I’m doing, but I thought it would be fun to have long hair sometimes and a pixie sometime! I know it sounds crazy! I have watched several of your videos and you really rock your wigs! They all look like you grew them! You are pretty amazing! I also love your tee shirts! I love the Lord and it’s refreshing to see you let your light shine! Thank you!
Oh Denise, I hope you see this! This video was so very helpful to me! I saw Alva on line several months ago and fell in love with her. But by the time she arrived I was well into my chemo and feeling quite ill. I played with her a bit and knew I needed to do something with the bangs and the permatease, but I was just too sick to know how to handle it all. I had my scissors in hand a couple of times, ready to do some alterations and then, fortunately, I decided "now" was not the time. So I put her back in her box and decided to wait until I was ready. Today I am so glad I waited! Now my chemo is over, and last week I had surgery (double mastectomy, and radiation still to come.) I am recovering now from the surgery and I am ready to start thinking about Alva again. And there, today, was your video! Now I know that if I had done something earlier it would have been the wrong thing, and now I am feeling more like wanting to present myself to the public better. Last week I didn't care how the public saw me. Today my mind is clearer, and I can start to think about how to work with my lovely Alva to make her right for me. I know you made this video some time ago, but the Lord's timing for me is perfect. I was meant to see your video today. I don't know when I will actually do the work on Alva, but now I know what she needs, and I will be ready. Thank you, dear sister, for sharing your experience with me. Big hugs to you.
Awwww, thank you so much! I feel like I am your friend, too! Truly! It is weird but when I am making these videos I am picturing all of you and truly feel like I am talking straight to you all... HUGS!
Thanks so much for this Denise! I got the exact color in Alva last year…everyone was gushing about how great she was…but when I received her I was sooo disappointed. Exactly the same as yours…very fake looking and not up to Norikos standards. I’ve added a slight root and that helped, but I still don’t wear her. You’ve encouraged me to get her out again and use my hot air brush to lift those fibers! Great demonstration!
Thank you so much my friend! I knew when I was watching your last video that I needed to see this one. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. May God bless you this day and always
Hi, Denise! I’m so new to this journey, that I haven’t even purchased my first wig yet! The tip you taught me in this is, how to cut bangs without using straight scissors. I still have my bio hair, but it’s thinning and I’ve been losing it for about five years. I’ve been recently diagnosed with fibrosing alopecia. I want to get all the info I can BEFORE I need to know it. Since I still have my bio hair, I need to cut my bangs. I do it myself and I thought I was good at cutting it, but my daughter, (who’s autistic) told me otherwise. 😉 Anyway, I’m going to have to get me a pair of those, sometime soon, to please my daughter! Haha! Thanks for everything you do! God bless you, sister!!
Loved this video. I have Alva and was so disappointed in her however this information made a big difference for me and gave me new hope for her. Took your advise and now I love her. Thank you so much for all that you do. Have an awesome blessed day. ❤️
Thanks so much Denise for your wonderful informative tutorial! I just purchased the hot air brush you recommended on Amazon & there were only 6 left. (there were a lot more before I started your review) You’ve got a great fan base! 😊 I usually wear bangs so I look forward to using your technique with the hot air brush before I cut my bangs. I’ve watched many videos on how to cut bangs. I too find it hard to point cut going upward so I have been using Godiva’s Secret Wigs recommendation of cutting at a 45° angle in many little snips. I’m really looking forward to trying your razor technique. Thanks so much for your recommendation. You are such a friendly and extremely knowledgeable wig sister. I’ve been wearing wigs for over 10 years and I have done this journey all by myself. I’m so happy I discovered you on TH-cam. Love your videos! Hugs, 🥰💕💐💕
Thank you, so many different opinions on regular synthetics and what can be used or not used online. It helps to see what can be done to personalize a wig to suit one's facial features. Great to know that a hot air brush can be used to add volume at the top and help lift bangs even on synthetic wigs.
Blessings Denise, I have Alva, and as one of these people who ordered her and waited. I was glad I did. She is my everyday go-to wig. I love how she looks; no one knows she is a wig. I took your advice, bought the blade, and am planning to trim up the bang a bit. As with all things, I think she needs to have her bang lifted before you trim or you could be in big trouble. As for the Noroko fiber, she is a bit heavier than my Estetica and EW brands that I go to most. I wish Noriko had put the lace part and front in her and we never know...but I have seen popular wigs become better because we asked. Thank you Denise...Love the color on you. I am wearing ChanpagneR and yes the rotting goes a long way and mess up this girl once in a while for a different look. ❤🙏❤
Dear Denise, I am so glad I ran across this video because I have three Alvas and they’re all different! the permatese, the bangs, even the length. and I have had to thin out various sections of each wig with the thinning shears but I do not have a fringe bang cutter which I need to get. This was so helpful for me as I like to play around with the wigs and get them to look just right for my face. I also cut wispy fringe bangs on my Raquel Welch On Point and they stick out because I was afraid to put too much heat on them possibly getting them to flat so maybe a hot brush will help. I’ll give it a try once I get a brush. Anyway, thank you so much for valuable styling tips and information. Pam
First, just let me say how absolutely gorgeous you are...your skin, flawless!!! You not only look beautiful but you have such a beautiful spirit. Anyway, you are my fave. Although I do watch a few others, I watched you almost exclusively. I trust your opinions and suggestions. I am 69 years old and have been thinning on top for several years but now the thinning as become quite visible. I have used Topick and other products to cover up but I think it is time that I look into wearing a wig. I have found your tutorials to be very encouraging and informative. So I will continue to watch as I start to make choices about what wig(s) will work for me. Thank you for your dedication to the community of wig wearers. I know just by reading your comments that you have been a "God Send" to countless women (and probably men as well). P.S. congrats on your weight loss. Wishing you much success on your new health journey. ~ A fan from Utah
Hi Denise, Just such great information you’re sharing here. Thank you so much! I have Alva, in Silver Stone, and I love her. She’s a little long for me. I haven’t had long hair in years and I’m so use to wearing shorter styles and pixies. I’ve worn her several times and I’m getting use to her. I did trim her bangs, been a bang girl most of my life. I like permatease. I just worked it with my fingers and my comb. She has become one of my favorites. Thanks again for all your tips, I truly appreciate you. God Bless!😘. P.S. You look gorgeous in this color!
Hi Denise! I just recently found your channel and you have been a blessing to me on my new wig journey. It is so refreshing to come across a humble woman. I am also a sister in Christ and appreciate you. God bless you and yours! I really hope you see this post since this is an older video of you. ❤😊
You know, I don’t think people noticed from the keys if they’re not wig wearers. This one looks great on you, and I love that color! It’s the color I normally wear. You look so pretty in it
Great info, Denise. I have 2 Alvas and regularly get complimented. I have tried the fluff the bangs with the hot air brush. It helped but you convinced me that I need to try another pass, as the bangs hang in my eyes!! I have never had/used a razor comb so that is my next purchase. Thanks for helping us who are challenged to find solutions to our hair sitting in boxes ( ie wasted funds😢)
I wore Alva to work 3 days this week. I did fluff up the bangs and trained the longer ones back into the sides of my head this thinned the bang section enough that I could see😃 Again, with the compliments. Wow ! Such a basic style but flatters the wearer! Thanks so much Denise for the encouragement to keep trying. 💜
Hi Denise. I just want to thank you for the great tips you're teaching us. I am all thumbs and I've never been able to style my hair and now that I have wigs I've been afraid to ruin them. You've given great tips and I'm anxious to try now. You're so kind and caring! Thank you again
You have just helped me save my Alva….she was running way too flat with visible permatease on the top. I do wear her with hair bands, but this tip with the hot air brush is a game changer!
I love your videos, I started losing my hair and am new to wigs. Your wig videos are very informative thank you so much for taking the time to help us out on our journey.
I have this wig & I am so happy to see how you were able to give some lift in certain areas. I will say that on my wig, right at the hairline of fore head in the very front, there is a white strip of material that to me, stood out like a sore thumb. I can kind of see it on yours as well. I took a Silver felt tip pen and used it to soften that white line to a soft grey….worked perfect. I have not washed it yet, but I’m sure if it washed out I would just do it again ….it was very easy to do.
You are so much fun! You have inspired me to get my 2 old wigs out and mess around with them. I loved both of them and wore them a lot. Maybe I can breathe life into the old girls, maybe I can’t-but now I have some ideas on what to do. Thanks!😊
Excellent help, Denise! I've had Alva for quite some time but haven't worn her because she needs the bangs trimmed and I was afraid to do it. Now I have the information and courage to do it. ❤
I just bought Alva on the secondary market...so recently I haven't even tried it on yet! The one thing that stood out as soon as I unpacked her was the permatease fibers on top. I'll be sure to employ your hot air brush tips straightaway. On point video as usual, Denise.
Thank you so much! I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of rooting her a little and keeping her. I'm just not sure I'm ready for gray, my daughter said it made me look older, lol. BUT- who cares, right?
Thank you as just bought Alva and you have been so helpful as I am having issue with hair falling forward and bangs are to long. So before I ruin her and am using my hot brush. Oh, FYI I did the same with my sheers and scissors on another wig...took a chunk out.
Denise this video was so informative! Thank you so much. I have Alva in iced mocha-r. I love my Alva and have worn her several times but lately have noticed the permatease looking more obvious than I’m comfortable with. So I am going to try your visto techniques on her! I want to say I absolutely love this silver color on you! Girl, is there any wig or color that doesn’t look good on you?? I don’t think so! God bless you Denise for being such a caring person!
I am a total newbie to wigs. loved your video. Im also new to you tube lol so I am on one big learning curve. Learned a lot today. Thanks and God bless!
yes it was very helpful to me I am hoping my new secondhand wig will arrive tomorrow and early on this evening I thought I may have to get a hot air brush but you said I could use a hairdryer I had been wondering but everyone keeps talking about the hot air brush so yes very helpful and I love your videos. thank you
Thank you so much for this! I love Alva but the permatease bothers me so bad I always wear a headband. I love the browns on you and that is the color I wear too. But this silver on you looks beautiful but you look so pretty in all your wigs. I just started wearing wigs last Fall, I am 57 but last year I lost my son to cancer and I lost most of my hair. But I want to thank you for this video so much Denise.
This helps me! I have not worn a wig, and feel it might be a huge annoyance on my head. But I'm going to soon be forced to wear wigs if I want hair. I'm old, but still try to be as presentable as I can. I like lift/volume away from my head (as opposed to flat). So now I feel hopeful I can use these techniques to achieve that and would like to try Alva - since that is close to the way I wear my hair. Thank you
Denise, I got an Alva and took it to my stylist to cut those bangs! I’m very new to wigs. I think with your guidance, I can style my Alva to be so much better! I love your hands on demos. Just what I need. I purchased a few items you listed. I think you are my very own “wig fairy”. Poof!
Great tips, Denise, and let me just say this. I LOVE that color on you!! ❤ Oh my gosh, when you are ready to go grey/silver, you will look fabulous!! Just beautiful gf!!
Thank you for this video Denise. I watched it before but somehow I must’ve touched the wrong thing and “disliked” it. I saw that the second time I watched it so I immediately changed it to a “like”. I so appreciate all your videos. Every wig looks good on you.
Looks great! Very informative as a new wig wearer and I love the tip about the tools because I did the same thing with my first wig, thought I had the thinning shears but had the regular cutting scissors and took a large chunk out! I was furious with myself for being so stupid! Good advice to put them away when done with them, it’s a costly mistake!
Thanks, I have this very problem with my Evan wig and have looked for help everywhere. I will give the air dryer a try, the wig is so thick I’m not sure it will help. Love your videos, keep taking time to do them. Would love to see how to add rooting color to a wig, I brought the color, but I’m afraid to use it. Again thanks.
Funny thing is, we buy wigs to NOT have to style our hair lol. I just chip my bangs a bit to shorten them. My Alva was very dense with a ton of hair; yours looks like a normal density and I love that. Good job!
Right?? That's what Inuaed to think as well, but since so few wigs are perfect for me, that kept me stuck with wigs I couldn't wear. I've found a happy medium with wigs that need minor one-time intervention.... if I had to style every time like my bio hair that would be a no go (probably why I haven't gravitated toward humans hair wigs at all, that and the cost).
Thanks sister 🙏 Denise! Awesome & so helpful tips! Ordered the hot air brush :) It looks so much better with the lift & bang cut 👍 You give me the confidence now to get my girls just the way I want them ❤️ XOXO
Hi Denise! Thank you for so much info-practical tips that help me so much! I am new wig wearer! I really need to know if I CAN make bangs on a wig that comes without bangs and if I can, can you do a video showing how!! There are quite a number of people that know that want/need to get this instruction as well!!! So please, please - help us!!! You are so talented and such a sourcee of info and encouragement-that's why I chose you!!! From one SISTER to another-God bless you abundantly!!!
Hi! Here is another video I did and this wig, while it had long face framing layers, it did not have bangs: th-cam.com/video/HjHNkzFK-og/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wGdP0G1AYTph6f72
Love your channel and you were the first wig sis to finally convince me to try wigs again … now I’m addicted 😂. All my wigs are synthetic so I am very interested in this curling brush. I used your store link and saw a new (Oct 2023) review stating “After a couple minutes the brush gets very hot so you have to be careful not to burn your hand/fingers.” Maybe they’ve updated this model? Anyway, just wanted you to know since it was not an issue with one you used a year ago. (P.S. - its on sale right now for less than $20). Thanks for all you do for us.❤
Hi Denise, I just rewatched this after having some wig experience. Permatease is something I do not like and your showing us this way of dealing with it is much better than other videos I've seen on it. I will try the water, hot tool for wigs, and redirecting the hair. Thank you!! ❤Kathleen
Hi Denise! I’m a newer wig wearing woman. I know the styles and colors that compliment my face shape and personality. Your video taught me ways to tweak certain areas of my collection. So, thank you for the clear directions. Alva’s style and color look gorgeous on you! It’s exactly my choice! If you ever decide to sell her, I’ll buy her in a heartbeat!!!! Never knew of the razor comb and definitely will purchase that today! You’re a delight to watch. If you come across a wig in Iced Granita(Rachel Welch) I’d love to see the color mix. Thank you. Be well.
Thank you so much! Welcome to the wig sisterhood! I'm sure you would not have chosen to be part of this illustrious group but I promise you will find some amazing women here! If I can get my hands on an Iced Granita for a good price that I could resell (since it is not my color) then I absolutely will so I can review it! I already passed Alva on to another wig sister but don't ever hesitate to reach out and ask about any wig I review that you are interested in... some I keep but I can't possibly keep them all so I do resell a fair amount. I always post wigs for sale on my website first, so that is a good place to look at as well. :) www.heywigsister.com HUGS !
This is SO helpful. Now I understand a lot more about the Hot AIR Brush! I never heard of that razor comb. This is really important as I'm waiting delivery on a BT Columbia replacement :-(
Thank you so much. I have noticed that many wigs are cute but the bangs are too heavy for my personal taste. Now I know what to do to get a more wispy bang on my wigs. This opens up more wig choices--awesome! I am new subscriber to your channel and have found your videos to be informative as well as fun to watch!
The 1.5" hot air brush is overall more practical the smaller barrel hot air brush at my local Sally's. I still use the smaller barrel from time to time, but mostly the 1.5".
This is my first wig. Although I am handy with tools on my bio hair, I am really struggling with this wig and disheartened with the initial wig journey. It arrived with bad box hair as the sides didn't match. I find myself looking for my next wig because I can't get this one right. Wherever you go there you are! This less expensive wig needs to be the one I "practice" on because a new wig is not going to fix my lack of skills. It looks like a bowling ball on my head. I have a round face so that is particularly troublesome. You are soooo encouraging. Thanks!
Received my hot tool like you show cased today. I’m anxious to try it. However, I watched a different video suggesting to learn on a cheaper wig. I think that’s an awesome recommendation! Thank you. (BTW, I’ve watched MANY of your videos!
Thanks again for all the info. Hadn’t seen how to use razor comb before. I’ve done the grab the wrong scissors before. Had to get very creative with a chunk missing. Just got some straighter mid length wigs that are going to need lift and bangs trimmed. Video was great timing for me.
I'm late to the party but one solution I've found for permatease and wefts showing in a wig such as the color you're wearing is a headband. I've got a Paula Young "Colleen" in 51/60 color and had brushed and styled that wig until I thought my arms would fall off and was near tears. The wefts in particular were screaming "look at me, look at me!!! *Nothing* was hiding the wefts until I pulled out a headband, styled the wig how I wanted to wear it and then put it on. Instantly the wefts were hidden and how cute it 'dressed' up the wig! I've since become addicted to headbands and unlike bio hair, they don't leave a crease in the fibers.
Root cover-up is great for hiding those little fibers and creating a temporary root. I used root cover-up to help mask my hair loss as well, before I started wearing wigs.
I would take the hit aur brush over the top and smooth it down.... so instead of going under for lift, press down on the top to flatten.... Then, hold with your hand to cool. Hopefully I understood what you were asking and this makes sense.
The Razor comb is a game-changer but I must say. When when you use it on your bangs the first time be very aware that your nose is in the way. 😅 I was hitting the middle of my nose with the razor blade without even knowing it until I was all finished doing the bangs. The bangs turned out beautiful and then all of a sudden I had a vertical line that was red and bloody going down the middle of my nose LOL I never even felt the blade cutting me! Taught me a lesson.
Great tips, so useful for me now. Especially the razor trim. I’ve used Cocoa powder as dry shampoo for myself before I began with wigs. I’m a natural brunette transitioning to grey. I’ve used cocoa powder on some wigs I wished were rooted then sprayed wig hair stay/spray. I feel that doing this, helps make my unrooted pieces appear more authentic and just make sense. Have you a video on tweezing hairs on parts that appear “wiggy” or fake?
You always have great information. My Toni Brattin wig is that length and I cut bangs in her. I believe I sent you a pic. So mine also has permeate and I’ve been curious about how to smooth it out. That wig you have looks so fresh after washing. I’m nervous to wash mine. lol But I finally ordered two lace front wigs. One from Rebel Gypsy and one from Chelsey Cosmetics. I am so excited. My next one will be the one you had customized from Nell’s Wigs. I would have ordered it first but her customization is down till the 23rd.
I think I can use several tips. The use of the hot air brush to help hide permatease sounds promising. Plus I I'm terrified to trim my bangs. But the little razor comb you used is something I might could try.Just like you said a little bit of the time! Also The thinning shears could be helpful. But I would definitely want to test on my old wig that I don't ever wear anymore 1st😃😃. Thank you Denise!
Thank you for this video. I bought my first wig Sep, 2021 but hated wearing it. I will now trim my bangs and thin it out. I’m going tomorrow to get a razor comb and a airbrush w no heat. Wish me luck!
Thanks Denise...great tips...I have Alva in different shades and the bangs are always too long on me too. I love the idea of using a razor comb. I trim mine with straight scissors and I'm always having to do it several times because I'm worried I will trim too much off. I will be trying the razor comb for sure! Thanks again for such great tips!
Denise, thank you for this video! I bought Alva bc of all the good reviews. It was my first wug without a monofilament part. The bangs had to be cut; a little at a time. Then I looked at the top. It looked like a rats nest. (I have never seen a rate nest but that is the description that came to mind). I like the rest of the wig so I put it aside hoping for a tutorial and here you are! Keep your tutorials coming!
Great info! I can’t thank you enough for your super awesome videos! I’m hooked. You have super great ideas and info to share and you present them in such a excellent and engaging way. I think I’ve watched 10-15 of your videos since yesterday 😂. I haven’t been able to find one showing you cutting the front lace yet. Hope I find that one. I could kick myself because I just donated a couple of wigs to goodwill a few weeks ago because I didn’t know all this awesome stuff you’re teaching. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for your incredibly kind comments, Julie! Hugs!
I agree about what a blessing Denise is🥰
I have several Alvas, all of them have natural parts with peramatease except my ICED MOCHA R. It had a flat, nasty looking birds nest part. I was not happy but God gave me an idea, I picked up parts of my part on both sides & steamed under the part. It looks just as good as the other Alvas
I have Alva too..I love her but yes her bangs are too long. I need the razor. Thanks Denise. You're the best! ❤
I don't know if you will see this, but I want to trim the bangs on a cheap Amazon wig, and I think that your advice will be what I need. Denise, you are one of the kindest, sweetest women I've ever met ( well, sort'a). The holy Spirit is evident in your heart and words.❤️
Thank you so much, Carol!! I hope you have MUCH success with your trimming! Nothing better than practicing on a cheap wig!
Just the hot brush alone made a huge impact. It’s amazing how a little love and attention can bring a wig to life!
There was something special about you when I started watching and came to find out your love Jesus!! Just love you!
Thank you so much!
Lol
I always learn something new from you Denise! Thanks for everything you do for all of us new wig wearers!
About 5 years ago I decided to go my hair out and I love it, but I keep
It in some sort of up doo all the time!
I really hope you’re doing well now. Sending love and good vibes
I feel like you are our friend! Thanks for how articulate and detailed you are and enjoyable to listen to.
Awwww, thank you so much! I feel like I am your friend, too! Truly! It is weird but when I am making these videos I am picturing all of you and truly feel like I am talking straight to you all... HUGS!
Alva has such a modern casual look. Definitely could wear this everyday.
Please let me know how it goes!!
Thank you so much my friend! I knew when I was watching your last video that I needed to see this one. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. May God bless you this day and always
God bless you, too!! ❤❤❤
New wig wearer here, and your videos have been my favorites! You’re a great teacher! Thank you for your great help!
Loved this video. I have Alva and was so disappointed in her however this information made a big difference for me and gave me new hope for her. Took your advise and now I love her.
Thank you so much for all that you do. Have an awesome blessed day. ❤️
YAY! That's so awesome!
I am four months into my wig journey. Alva was my first purchase and I love her!
That is amazing! So many struggle greatly in the beginning, that is a huge success!!
Hugs, 🥰💕💐💕
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! You are NOT doing this alone anymore 🫂😍😘!
Thank you, so many different opinions on regular synthetics and what can be used or not used online. It helps to see what can be done to personalize a wig to suit one's facial features. Great to know that a hot air brush can be used to add volume at the top and help lift bangs even on synthetic wigs.
😍
Hot Air Brush and thinning scissors best tools ever!
Pam
The bang cutting tips are so helpful. Thanks Denise 💕
YAY!
Oh, this is one of the most informative wig talks that I've ever seen. i NEED the razor scissors. Thank you so much.
Thank you!!! ❤️
Thank you so much, Sally!
Hi Denise! I just recently found your channel and you have been a blessing to me on my new wig journey. It is so refreshing to come across a humble woman. I am also a sister in Christ and appreciate you. God bless you and yours! I really hope you see this post since this is an older video of you. ❤😊
Thank you so much, Andi! What a kind comment. HUGS!
Let me know if another pass works.... crossing my fingers!!
I wore Alva to work 3 days this week. I did fluff up the bangs and trained the longer ones back into the sides of my head this thinned the bang section enough that I could see😃
Again, with the compliments.
You are so welcome!
You have just helped me save my Alva….she was running way too flat with visible permatease on the top. I do wear her with hair bands, but this tip with the hot air brush is a game changer!
Wonderful!
SO cute! Thanks for the tips and especially for your generous spirit! Blessings. 😍
Thank you so much, Sheri!!
How is it possible to look so good in so many different colors and styles??? Thanks for the tips :)
I love your videos, I started losing my hair and am new to wigs. Your wig videos are very informative thank you so much for taking the time to help us out on our journey.
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching!!!
Thanks!😊
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching!
This Alva is so cute on you. And the color is great with your skintone! Very flattering. Thanks for the tips!
Hugs and blessings,
Shelly
❤❤❤
I so much appreciate the bang cutting with the razor. You are so sweet and humble. Good job
That is so kind of you! Thank you! 😊
Excellent help, Denise! I've had Alva for quite some time but haven't worn her because she needs the bangs trimmed and I was afraid to do it. Now I have the information and courage to do it. ❤
I'm thrilled to hear this!! Please let me know how it goes!
I just bought Alva on the secondary market...so recently I haven't even tried it on yet! The one thing that stood out as soon as I unpacked her was the permatease fibers on top. I'll be sure to employ your hot air brush tips straightaway. On point video as usual, Denise.
I hope you can make her into a wig you LOVE! So many women love this one and I can see why!
Wow - thank.. you for doing this. Makes me feel more empowered to adjust some of my wigs! You're the best.
YAY! That is the goal!
That color really looks great on you.
Thank you so much! I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of rooting her a little and keeping her. I'm just not sure I'm ready for gray, my daughter said it made me look older, lol. BUT- who cares, right?
TY so much didn’t realize she was parted wrong for me. You help me so much because I love the style. And it seems workhorse everyday wig.
I hope it works for you! Thank you so much for your kind comments! They mean so much to me. ❤
I am a total newbie to wigs. loved your video. Im also new to you tube lol so I am on one big learning curve. Learned a lot today. Thanks and God bless!
Gosh, at first I did not like this wig at all … but after your working on it, I ended up loving it! Nice job!
yes it was very helpful to me I am hoping my new secondhand wig will arrive tomorrow and early on this evening I thought I may have to get a hot air brush but you said I could use a hairdryer I had been wondering but everyone keeps talking about the hot air brush so yes very helpful and I love your videos. thank you
Thank you so much for this!
Oh, Marcia.... I am so so sorry for your loss. How terrible. Sending you hugs and love ❤️
@@heywigsister thank you
This helps me! Thank you
Denise,
I got an Alva and took it to my stylist to cut those bangs! I’m very new to wigs. I think with your guidance, I can style my Alva to be so much better! I love your hands on demos. Just what I need. I purchased a few items you listed. I think you are my very own “wig fairy”. Poof!
Yay!! I hope you have fun and LOTS of successful styling!
Great tips, Denise, and let me just say this. I LOVE that color on you!! ❤ Oh my gosh, when you are ready to go grey/silver, you will look fabulous!! Just beautiful gf!!
Thank you!! 😍
Great video!! I just bought a wig and was unhappy with the permatease on top. Very helpful!! Thank you. That wig looks fantastic on you!! ❤
Thank you for this video Denise. I watched it before but somehow I must’ve touched the wrong thing and “disliked” it. I saw that the second time I watched it so I immediately changed it to a “like”. I so appreciate all your videos. Every wig looks good on you.
Thank you so much!!! HUGS!
I know! I felt the same!
I just love you. So real and helpful. I can really tell you love us and the Lord!
Ordered the hot air brush :) It looks so much better with the lift & bang cut 👍 You give me the confidence now to get my girls just the way I want them ❤️ XOXO
great color on you!
Thanks for all you do for us.❤
Thank you for sharing that! I am tempted to buy this one and double check it.... that is a little concerning!
Hi Denise, I just rewatched this after having some wig experience. Permatease is something I do not like and your showing us this way of dealing with it is much better than other videos I've seen on it. I will try the water, hot tool for wigs, and redirecting the hair. Thank you!!
❤Kathleen
I'm so glad, Kathleen! I hope you find something that works for you, hugs!!
@@heywigsister ❤🤗
Thanks so much Denise for your great tips. I have a couple of Alvas. It’s such a versatile wig.
I am seriously thinking of getting her in another color... I don't wear straight wigs often, or wigs with bangs, but I am LOVING this one!
You did an excellent job. I like that you play with wigs and give us ideas.
I appreciate your quick response! Have a wonderful day! I’ll keep looking for your videos!
This is SO helpful. Now I understand a lot more about the Hot AIR Brush! I never heard of that razor comb. This is really important as I'm waiting delivery on a BT Columbia replacement :-(
The razor is an invaluable tool for sure.
Thank you so much for subscribing!!!
Thanks!
That color and syle is stunning on you!
Thank you!!
Glad to help!
Thank you for teaching us by sharing your experience. Do you have a video on how to get an area to lay down more?
Oh my gosh! This is a great tip! THANK YOU!
You are AMAZING and I absolutely love your videos!!!!!
This grey silver looks awesome on you….
👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the info , I didn't know the air brush could make such a difference ~ your a good teacher ~ thanks for all the good tips
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
OMG, I absolutely LOVE this wig on you!!! The color is amazing and so edgy.
Thank you!! 😍
Very helpful to me. The wigs I have recently purchased all needed a lot of work.
It can be frustrating when that happens, but knowing what to do makes it all so much easier! Hugs!
You always have great information. My Toni Brattin wig is that length and I cut bangs in her. I believe I sent you a pic. So mine also has permeate and I’ve been curious about how to smooth it out. That wig you have looks so fresh after washing. I’m nervous to wash mine. lol
But I finally ordered two lace front wigs. One from Rebel Gypsy and one from Chelsey Cosmetics. I am so excited. My next one will be the one you had customized from Nell’s Wigs. I would have ordered it first but her customization is down till the 23rd.
Just watched this again, needed a refresher course🙂 still love that wig!!
Good idea! I highly recommend practicing for sure!
Thank you for this video. I bought my first wig Sep, 2021 but hated wearing it. I will now trim my bangs and thin it out. I’m going tomorrow to get a razor comb and a airbrush w no heat. Wish me luck!
You got this! Please let me know how it goes!
@@heywigsister I forgot to tell u I’m wanting to cut the length of Estetica Fin in R8/12
You bet! I have a video coming out tomorrow (Tuesday) showing me cutting full bangs into a wig that doesn't have them... watch for it!!
@@heywigsister Great!I will!
Thank you for the tips. The gray shade looks really good on you! 🙂
Glad it was helpful! HUGS!
Love the info on how to hide permatease. This has been my biggest problem. Thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
Thank you!! I actually have multiple videos on cutting the lace, here is one: th-cam.com/video/_-9eT-_oqWM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Wpm4mVOlYp2Thome
Alva is gorgeous on you! Love the gray/silver.
Thank you so much for these fantastic tips! I am going to work on Shannon that I just received in the mail!
Let me know how it goes!!!
Thanks so much Denise--this is extremely helpful about the bangs. Looks cute on you! Does Noriko fit small? I have a 22.5 head.
Very informative I love wigs and feel very comfortable wearing them that is half the battle wear the wigs with confidence
Exactly!!
You look absolutely gorgeous in every wig you wear ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello, What can be done about permatease in a curly/wavy style, without ruining the curls? Thanks for an awesome video.
I don’t wear a wig, but I’m considering it. You’re teaching me a lot!
