My hair stylist ruined $130 Raquel Welch topper when I asked her to cut bangs in it. They were so short, it looked ridiculous! I always cut the bangs myself now, and I’ve got pretty good at it. No fancy scissors like you have, but i hate blunt cuts, so i do that vertical cutting technique and start off very long so I don’t make a huge mistake. I’m always so nervous though! Your bangs look perfect on this wig. Beautiful job!

I know! Of course, the fibers don't feel as realistic as the more expensive ones, but like I always say, no one is touching your wig so how it feels shouldn't matter as much as how it looks. Thank you for watching!
That absolutely looks gorgeous! Reminds me of Jessica Simpson. One of the best bits of advice I got when I first started getting into wigs was to buy an inexpensive synthetic wig to practice styling and cutting on. It really, really helped me build skills and confidence. I love that razor comb - definitely buying it!
They are Kiss brand, bought them on a whim this past weekend at Walgreen's. My eyelashes are getting to think (like my hair and eyebrows) and so thought I'd give them a try. Obviously I'm not experienced with them yet, lol!

I purchased this very wig from Amazon this last April and I thought I had made a mistake, lol!! I've considered cutting bangs into it as well. I did however cut the longest layer from the back because it was just too long for me which made me like it more. I also moved the part to the side which works fine but I'd like to try bangs.

It never used to be a problem but my CIDP is causing so much weakness in my extremities and, along with my tremors, using scissors is quite a task. I just try a little each day. I got a similar one on Temu for about $8. to $10. It’s a topper, so it’s probably the $8. price. But there’s no lace front, and sits too far back to fit my hairline, so I’m looking for some ideas for cutting bangs. Glad I found you!

I bought a similar wig from the haircube and was going to return it but I followed your tutorial and my husband thinks it is one of the nicest wigs. I also thinned it out and made the ends look more natural. Now it looks great.

That came out really cute. I'm brand new to wearing wigs, meaning I have a bunch of them hanging in my room and I've yet to successfully put one of them on. I've been watching videos for a day or 2 and learning what I've been doing wrong so I'll try again soon. I have a budget wig that is really long and wavy but has the weird blunt front hairline and I have a high forehead anyway so I like bangs. So I saw that you can buy bangs and add them to the wig and I bought one. The thing is I don't know if the colors will match all that well. So I'm happy to see you make bangs where there were no bangs before ! I hope I can do it too.

So informative and helpful ❤ I was wondering if you have noticed any splitting of the hair after cutting synthetic wigs??? I heard a lady mention that it would fray over time so it needs to be heat sealed. Maybe your curling tool is doing that for bangs. But I shortened the length of a wig and now worry about fraying! 😢 I also cut bangs because it had long bangs in a side part but one small section kept coming straight down in my face. After clipping for weeks and no cure I cut bangs like yours. I love it so much better. I had to thin it and sew the cap smaller. It's been a long process.
That’s a very cute style! It just seems that the sides (you where styling with the hot air brush) are different in length. But I’m more into a little difference between left and right 👍🏻 Cause it looks more like a style will change over the day/night aka more natural ✌🏻

I have about 6 wigs that I have cut bangs in I love bangs but I smoke and I have singed the tips of almost all of them I’m glad I didn’t throw them out I never thought about headband wigs I might end up doing that because I have just ordered 7 new wigs I’m waiting on i really need to stop smoking

I LOVE this razor. I used it to cut fuller bangs on a wig I'd had for a while but was about to give up on. I also thinned it out a bit. It looks great now! I think you say somewhere in this video that everyonne who wears wigs should have one of these, and it's true. Hi Denise, I realize this video was posted 11 mos. ago but I just had to say that the eyelash mishap had me giggling. That’s so something that would happen to me! I’m in the beginning stage of my wig journey. I’ve been watching your videos for the better part of a year. I too, suffer from an autoimmune disease. In fact, I suffer from three; rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, crohn’s and fibromyalgia. But I only mention that because I caught your video where you were talking about what you were going through. I so relate! Especially when you talked about your disease symptoms oftentimes not affecting your external physical body and therefore, not “present” to our friends and loved ones. After that video I immediately purchased a copy of “HOPE WHEN IT HURTS “. It arrived today. I lost my hair due to chemo… it’s growing back in, but when you go from thick curly hair to your bum it’s pretty traumatizing to lose it all. I only have 5 wigs (so far) lol. Thank you for your video on cutting bangs on a wig. Something I learned about my bangs about 100 years ago when I was 12 - when my bangs are cut straight across, I look really nerdy. My bangs need to be curved a bit, meaning shorter in the middle than on the edges of the bangs, so when I cut bangs, I always cut them rounded, so I don’t look like a nerd! 😮

I LOVE this razor. I used it to cut fuller bangs on a wig I'd had for a while but was about to give up on. I also thinned it out a bit. It looks great now! I think you say somewhere in this video that everyonne who wears wigs should have one of these, and it's true. Thank you for letting us know about this great product, and for making another helpful video.

I have four wigs and they're horrible. Paula Young is horrific! I'd like to have fun with different ones too but it can get expensive and dissappointing

Hi Denise, I realize this video was posted 11 mos. ago but I just had to say that the eyelash mishap had me giggling. That’s so something that would happen to me! I’m in the beginning stage of my wig journey. I’ve been watching your videos for the better part of a year. I too, suffer from an autoimmune disease. In fact, I suffer from three; rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, crohn’s and fibromyalgia. But I only mention that because I caught your video where you were talking about what you were going through. I so relate! Especially when you talked about your disease symptoms oftentimes not affecting your external physical body and therefore, not “present” to our friends and loved ones. After that video I immediately purchased a copy of “HOPE WHEN IT HURTS “. It arrived today. Hi Denise - thank you for all of the youtube videos you do. I had gotten a very inexpensive haircube wig that is actually very pretty. However, like so many wigs, the bangs were so long. After watching your video, I cut bangs into it and it's just beautiful and perfect now. Thank you for this great video - I used the razor comb like you have - wow that thing does a great job! You are gorgeous and this wig is beautiful on you! I’m a fairly new subscriber and really enjoy all of your tips and advice on wig wearing. Btw you also have the most beautiful brown eyes! I lost my hair due to chemo… it’s growing back in, but when you go from thick curly hair to your bum it’s pretty traumatizing to lose it all. I only have 5 wigs (so far) lol. I’m waiting on a delivery from Amazon of a block head, tripod and heat comb today so I can do some styling and cutting. You have taught me so much and I can’t wait to make some adjustments to make them look more like what I want. Thank you!

Thank you for your video on cutting bangs on a wig. Something I learned about my bangs about 100 years ago when I was 12 - when my bangs are cut straight across, I look really nerdy.
My bangs need to be curved a bit, meaning shorter in the middle than on the edges of the bangs, so when I cut bangs, I always cut them rounded, so I don’t look like a nerd! 😮
