Oh my exrtemely helpful. I actually liked all of the wigs with Mia and Music Comfort vey interesting because I have a short wig. My husband has dementia and I am his caretaker. My hair has been thinning probably due to age and stress so I am being drawn to wigs for both convenience when we have sleepless nights and need to go to the doctor and for appearance.We're never too old to want to look our best. WOW! A lot of info which helped, I spent the day on someone else’s site that did the same thing turning the wigs inside out to educate and show the difference between all the different styles and makers. So it made listening to your education so much more effective. I have a better understanding and will know what to look for. I have a larger head and that was always my biggest issue and held me back. I think I need to try an average plus size. ❤

This was so helpful! I have Delight on my list. I found Candace to be high-density, but maybe it's the longer pieces around my face, as I bought two and each swallowed me up (same with Wavy Day, which some say is lower density). A few more that I love that are low density are Flirt Alert by Raquel Welch, Esprit by Ellen Wille and Califia and Amaretto by Belle Tress (just wish their fibers held up better)! Thanks again for your great content.

I’m not sure who said Wavy Day is love density but it definitely isn’t. I LOVE that style but it isn’t low density. Based on your experience/feedback…styles with longer front sections aren’t your fave. The list of styles you like there (for the most part) have layered/side swept bangs or front sections. That can really help to keep the hair away from our faces!

Great information. Can you recommend a very, low density wig with bangs? Or, one that bangs can be cut? I like the dark brown/black color thus bangs would be good for me. For a more secure feel, I would like one that has silicone strips or ear tabs with silicone. Thank you.

I’d be happy with synthetic or heat synthetic. Although willing to try whatever really. I love all the colors you picked out for yourself and in basically the same medium length.
I am new to buying a wig and my question is do I start with a budget friendly wig or is it better to Dive in to a more expensive wig? I'm in love with McQueen by belle tress, but I did see another one that I think is cute. It has wefting that I am not sure about so should I just hold out until I can afford McQueen?? The Straight Up With A Twist short bob is just what I want but I need a large size cap. It is so difficult to find large size cap wigs in the styles I like. I was so bummed to find out this wig doesn't come in large.
This is I guess off the topic of wigs but this person or thing doesn't look real. Everything looks computerized.
I'm very disappointed in wig makers. I run size large and the only synthetic wigs in size large are bulky, full of permatese, wiggy looking wigs. None of the low density cute wigs are made for us with size large heads. Please, if you have any influence over wig makers, inform them that there is a whole wig community with women like myself who can't find a well fitting cute wig. We need the same selection as everyone else 😢
I love Estetica's Orchid. I wear her in Chrome RT1B and I find her to be low density. I may have to take a steamer and 'tamp' her down or direct her part but I love the fibers. I find that with longer styles HF fibers just do not last at all. I love Ellen Wille's wigs but her caps are just too small for me. Great Video and I love Wigs by Patti's Pearls!

Do you know who has low density in SMALL? Heat Defiant, mono and Lace Front? Can’t find it! I’ve looked for so long!!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated

Jon Renau does a lot of full mono tops and low density.
Absolutely! Jon Renau does have some nice low-density mono tops. Belletress and Ellen Wille are well known for the majority of their pieces being low density but most other brands do have some as well 😊

Yes. I've a small head apparently (but I havea big brain)😂 I also have a small face. I received my first wig 5yrs ago during chemo, I looked like an Owl looking out of an ivy bush😅 to much hair ❤

I have always had really thick straight hair and loved it. I recently lost 50 pounds and my hair started falling out. My hair dresser said that happens sometimes when you lose weight but it will come back. I would be interested in a wig with a thicker density, in a lob. Do you know of such a wig? You just need to try things until you find something that you are comfortable in. America has gotten way more humid needs practical throw and go low density thin wefts lightest possible and different lines for different size heads. Mark the color and exact size into the wig label. Wigs have become confusing colors sizes insane chaos disaster! High humidity only light comfort!

Great review. I'm wondering what wig grip you are wearing and it looks like you have some hair combed over on the top? It seems to stay secure on your head better than mine.

If I can't get full mono, I would opt for the middle part. Who wears an extreme side part anyways? Well, a few maybe... The problem I have is, I grew up and am used to a right part. And middle parts are so popular these days anyways. I see all the big stars and celebs wearing it. I don't get it? Why do so many wigs come with that left. I know, the best I can get out of that is a middle part. This was helpful though.

All of the manufacturers are allowed variances between pieces (even in the same style). So it's possible to order one Straight up with a Twist today that is less dense and then you could order one next week that may be more dense. Because of these allowed differences, it's hard to say which one is less/more dense.

It's really hard to say. It will depend on your ear to ear and front to back measurements, as well as how much bio hair you have. Best Wishes!
Thank you for your videos! I bought Raquel Welches Upstage in the petite. This is my first wig purchase. I don’t find it comfortable. I don’t know what it’s supposed to feel like. Maybe it’s too small for my 21 1/2 in circumference. You talk about them being so comfortable but I was only able to wear mine for about an hour and it was so darn hot and tight feeling that I took it off! Is that normal? ??
It is very normal for them to feel hot. It's like wearing a hat. If it feels tight, there could be a couple of things going on. It's possible that you need the average. I would advise that you reach out to support@wigsbypattispeals.com to get further assistance on your measurements. Also, if this is your first wig, it does take a while to adjust. When you're not used to constantly wearing something on your head, it can feel tight and even itchy. That said, that's the issue the only way to work through it is to wear a wig every day (full days) for about two weeks. Once your head adjusts to the feeling, you'll feel much better.
Actually , I like big hair. I usually wind up having to tease and mouse my long hair wigs to give them fullness and height😄
There are so many to chose from and great products to make them "bigger"!

Thankyou for this information. I made the worst mistake when I bought my first wig. I got Caelon as it looked low density. I was so mad at that wig ! Now I only will wear Belle Tress or wigs with low density.

2 things that i never see addressed are the ear tabs being bulky and always covering ears. I never see them conformed correctly around the ears. The other is regarding wefts showing on windy days.

Thank you for your video but I'm not sure that it has answered my concerns. I live in the tropics. Our average daily temperature is 30C (86F) often with high humidity. I've sorta accepted my alopecia by completely shaving my head. The Sinéad O'Connor look if you like but I would so love to have a “cool” wig. I imagine something with low-denisity, no permatease, and no need for a wig skull cap. Straight hair look down to my shoulders, like folk singers in the hippie era, would be perfect for me. Would you please comment on this and help me in my search. TIA

Is 130 density considered low density.?
130 is light to medium. This is a standard density that you find amongst many alternative hair pieces. Most fall within 120 to 150. The higher the number, the fuller the piece.
Hi Pat-e just watched your program on low density wigs and I found it very helpful and interesting. I am a new wig enthusiast and I’m having just a ball trying on and shopping for new wigs. I bought two Ellen Billis and two Raquel Welches I did a Raquel Welsh simmer elite And I like it very much but as you said it’s a little more hair than what I want but I like it so much. I’m gonna keep it anyway. I also purchased an Ellen Villa Leah to which is the short straight Bob and I really like it, however after seeing the Miu by Belle Tres I’m going to have to try that one too. Well thanks again…. Here’s why I especially appreciated today’s review…
I am 65 yrs old, fine thin natural curl and wave, platinum blond/strawberry blonde strands/ash blonde strands.
I have had it cut into a pixie.
I need to start wearing hair pieces because my crown is thing horribly! I’m sad.
I am a teacher’s aid, around children all day, who notice every single detail about me.
I feel appreciated and greatly loved.
My self-esteem suffers because of thinning hair.
I thought if I kept it short it would help me look natural in chin length bobs.
Now I’m realizing maybe I should grow the framed hairs around my face to blend in with the synthetic hairs that frame my face, for an even more natural look.
I do not wear a wig grip. I get very hot. The heat radiates from my head.
I live in Maine, winters are cold. Summer’s are now brutal with humidity.
A lighter designed wig is best for me.

I'm wondering why your wigs look nothing like everyone else who's modeling the same wig? Are you styling them ahead of time or does Canada carry different density wigs than the U.S.?
My wigs are straight from the box when I do a review and all wigs come from the exact same manufacturer regardless of what company of country they are purchased from. For example: all Raquel Welch wigs are made by HAIRUWEAR so no matter where you purchase that brand, they are all made at the same factory. A couple of things to keep in mind is that all brands are allowed differences from piece to piece (within the same style). This means you could order 2 of the same wig and notice one might be slightly shorter/longer, fuller/thinner, lighter/darker, etc.... Also, the same style can look different on different head sizes, head shapes, and neck lengths.

Low density toppers with bangs?
Unfortunately there are not many toppers with bangs. Most toppers are made so that you have to take them to a hairstylist to have bangs cut. As far as low density goes, the smaller the base size, the lower the density. That said, you need to make sure you get the correct base size for your hairloss so that the clips don't cause damage. I would suggest checking with support@wigsbypattispearls.com for help!
