My man doing full engine swaps with flipflops. 🤣😎
Super Trucker shit lol
If he starts doing more engine swaps, he may have to upgrade to crocs.
Ya no shit
You can take the man out of Florida but you can't take the Florida out of the man lol
Typical Florida man.
I love how you sped it up and narrated it. I cannot sit through other build videos when they are real time, but this one I actually watched all the way. Great job!
You need to learn patience!
😅😅
Ok red . . How much turbo power . . Question warrenty how many years
Question are they craftmand tools
Oh, well as long as he pleased you, that's all that matters your majesty.
I give mad respect to this man doing this job by himself. He doesn't need a team of mechanics just milling around-
There is something funny about pumping a bucket of oil into an engine, I will never complain about filling a V8 again.
Listen i wish we made cab overs great again.
@@TheAnnoyingBosscome here to europe bro we got best trucks you can get🫡
I hope you see this man. My eyes light up if I see you, Deboss garage, or watch wess work pop up in my TH-cam feed because you all are genuine and just some normal people filming their life wrenching on some stuff. Stay like this man don’t go click baity.
I guess you don't know who Warren from Western Truck and Tractor Repair is!
Never a better time to freshen up the paint than when everything is all apart
Hunter you are a good mechanic and a hard worker….small bit of advice. If your looking to save time, put both engines side by side in your shop, as you take a part off of one(old one) then take two steps and put it on the new one. No lost bolts, spacers, washers etc. No putting heavy things down and picking it back up again. Its also a great way to make sure everything is fitting in real time. Also take it from a 50 something, you are young now but someday you won’t be….your back will thank you….it’s a marathon not a sprint….much love from an old timer
100% on the money, with ya on this from a broken 50 something bloke .
Yep was thinking the same thing (47 years farming)!
كلام في الصميم
Will not work. Certain procession to the job, front to back. Just like taking off your pants then drawers. You go back with drawers then pants.
I know some people helped you, but watching you do most of this by yourself is very impressive. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Little trick to help on heavy trucks when you don't have the clutch alignment tool - Load the clutch onto the input shaft of the trans and mount the trans to the flywheel housing. Then just roll underneath and zip the flywheel bots in through the clutch inspection cover where you would normally reach through to adjust the clutch
>uses shopvac to create vacuum to prevent fuel backflow
ingenius
>uses old oil pump (previously used for burn barrel project), jerry-rigged with a drill and zipties to prime oil in engine

Outstanding Hunter !
Was fun to be along for the swap over.
Looking forward to your next adventure!
( I’m exhausted just watching that)
Hunter, the man the myth the legend :D
The joy on his face and absolute happiness is so cool to see. Know the feeling when I built my three motorcycles and got them started, and now love them so much, I could never be without them. They are more than inanimate objects, they become a part of your personality. Good Job Hunter, enjoy the truck, make money with it, and be safe.
Something else I just noticed- it has an aluminum frame. Check it carefully for cracks, especially around the suspension attach points (if memory serves correctly). In my time at a Ford truck dealership we had two trucks that had to have aluminum frames replaced under warranty due to cracks.
Ford didn't require that we send the old rails back and one of the guys made ramps to get his Kubota on and off a trailer with the old rails.
Ok, watchcin wrenchin' videos can get monotonous but still be interestin'. I like how you time lapse the wrenchin' while narrating tellin' us what your doin, great work Hunter!
It is so great seeing someone with so much knowledge and talent talking such a huge project
wooooo more hunter content!! love what you are doing man keep up the great work!
Hey I'm impressed with that vaccum idea to keep the fuel in. Nice one!
You made quick work of that even with having to redo some of it! Great job! Look forward to seeing you haul.
Heck yeah man good to see you get that beautiful truck up and going again
Nice job man, it must feel good to get something like that back on the road again! Engine sounds good too, can't wait to hear that thing loaded up pulling hard!!!

Glad to see the ole Cabover back on the road 😎 put a set of stacks on it an put him back to work 💪🏾💪🏾 can't wait to see the future videos to come
Good to see you got it back on the road again Hunter! I have been wanting to get an older truck myself for a while now, my son also want to build one so I'm hoping one day we will be able to be trucking together. Way to go and get outside your comfort zone and tackle that engine.

Very happy to see your truck running again well done.
sacré travail,félicitation il revient de loin !
Congratulations on the engine. Sounds great 👍can't wait to see more .
i adore these old trucks . love the aluminum frame rails , they are a rare find these days . back in the day CLT8000 were a beautiful truck
Hunter giving us perfectly timed content 👌
Just watching this video is exhausting. That was a lot of work you did man! Enjoy your new engine. Can’t wait to see what you do with this.👍
Awesome video. Thanks for speeding everything up
Fantastic to see the old truck back up and running. I love that air-ride cab setup. The only other truck that had a setup something like that was the Mack MH cabover. I never drove either one, but I worked for a guy who owned a Mack MH with the E9 500-hp motor. He said the truck was one of the best riding cabovers he'd driven once you got comfortable with how they "float", just like that Ford.
A Very cool video! Those big fords were awesome! Great mechanical work! Lookin forward to the next one!
Hunter, awesome video. Had to laugh at the flip flops. It's kool to see that everything worked out and it started for you.
That tractor is sweet. Heck I'd even enjoy driving it unlike some of the junk they make today.
Roll on dude. 🚛🚛🚛
So fun to see your enjoyment with that truck... and love the safety shoes!
I took my road-test in a similar old ford cabover 32 years ago...Thanks for the video
Glad you’re back
Wow. What an immense amount of work! Good job dude.
To be such a young man, I consider you to be brilliant and motivated. Great video. Bring us more.
Good for you Hunter! It's awesome to see you so happy and the truck is finally running the way you want it! Keep on trucking!
Damn good work! Impressed that you knocked that engine out and refitted the new one with ease and so fast! Damn good catch on the front and rear main seal. How did you keep so dang clean?! That’s my question. Hey and dude I was happy to see you were on my main page on here so I seen you posted a video! And dude I could feel your excitement driving your beauty and fun to watch! I felt that same happiness driving my 92 Freightliner COE with forward set steer axle (not the ugly ass rear set steer axle, never understood companies/dudes who bought those) and 425 CAT, LOVED that truck! Soon as you smiled and said “i love this truck so much” I was smiling with you and knew exactly what you were feeling, pure happiness and excitement🤩🙌. Excellent video, dude!
Wow. You’re the Man Hunter. Great narrating the build. Lot of thing to remember. Great job🤙😎
Congrats man! Awesome!
Been waiting for this one.
I loved this! Excellent work and I'm looking forward to seeing this all done up nice 😁👍

Thank you for the video and wish you all the best .The truck looks nice.
Hunter Brother , great job on getting this Cab over going but if you can always where your seatbelt!!!! I lost a brother in one , he was ejected from the vehicle straight through the window 🥲 he was only 27 young family man , very sad day but please drive safe and enjoy one of my favourite Rigs ! 👏👍
Been there, done that. Having to undo things by cutting corners is not fun. You are the man.
Glade to see another beautiful truck saved and back on the road. I'll find one of those one day. Till then I'll run my w9 till it can't run anymore
Good job! Especially doing it by yourself.
Nice work man, congrats on getting back on the road!
Good to see its back on the road
When you were mounting the gearbox had me a nice maaaaaaaad giggle ,
Hunter "A few words of encouragement" ..........Most mere mortals would've said I swore copious amounts at it we get what you're saying man . Keep kicking goals young fella go live an awesome life .
great to see it back in the road 👍
My new favorite youtube channel. So nice to se a mechanic not trying to be a stand upp comedian 👍
Bad ass videos man... keep us updated
Great video love the narration! I farm up near Idaho Falls and just picked up an old K100 cabover to use hauling hay. Wish I had your mechanic skills! If you ever need some content I have a combine I need to pick up in MT next spring!
Great content 👍. It is good to see her back on the road, thanks for sharing 😊. Can't wait to see you haul stuff. Thanks 👍 for sharing 😊.
Great work Hunter. Looks like a runner to me!
Super job. Love the old Fords. Keep on truck'n. From the Great State of Maine.
Great job! Time for new cab air ride shocks. Also, A/C on a CL is extremely problematic (and $$$) especially with a sleeper cab. It has 3 evaporators, lines running everywhere chafing on everything, it's a mess.
Another also- the radiator is very tall and relatively narrow. That means it has relatively few tubes and it doesn't take many of the tubes getting plugged to cause overheating. Cooling system maintenance is a must. Getting the radiator out and back in is NOT a fun job.
Good luck with this. Great to see a CL in such nice shape back on the road.
Nice work! And sounds great
Hey your looking good mate.. like healthy, relaxed and fit.. Good to see your keeping well.. and good to see you here doing your own thing.. truck is awesome!
Can’t wait to see that unit it all dressed up and working gonna be badass good work man

Good job! Very nice CL9000 you have there!
Love it. Looks like a kid in a candy store once he starts driving it. Keep up the great content. Very talented individual right here!!
Dam that was amazing urgent swap almost all by yourself Long time subscriber of everything you do I hope and pray that you make it to the top of TH-cam and whatever you want in your life ❤ from Norristown PA 👍🏾👏🏾👌🏾🙏🏾
Great video keep em coming
A very educational and interesting video. I really enjoyed it.
GOOD TRICKS GLAD I WATCHED THIS
Another old 9000 on the road. I love it! Desperately tried to talk my dad into buying one in about 1979. He declined. LOL. And it is red-white-and-blue!
Was like did I miss any hunter uploads and then boom a notification.
That’s how we primed detroits 2 strokes 318 ‘s and 238’s and it worked great because in the cap were blow out ports and if you would pop one out and car valve stems would pop right in and made life easy .
I got to see alot of these 9000 built in ky at KTP years ago. Then during my senior year summer vac. I got hired to work with the film crew to shoot the training film for Freightliner when they bought the airomax-louisville truck line. It was a sad time seeing them go.
Hunter, what's up, buddy ?? You rock !!
Brilliant to see the truck running again
Thanks for the content
I like that “timing hold” bolt is in a spot where the starter has to be removed to install it. And you can’t install the starter with it installed. Smart fail safe! If you forget it’s installed and try to crank it over. Diesels are cool, just having the fuel lines protected under the valve cover is neat. I don’t know much about them but I like them.
Nice work! I see why you love that truck!
awsome good to see it rollin!
Goodday Hunter from Australia 🇦🇺
Absolutely mad mad respect to you great to see young strong men of your generation doing a honest hard day's work & deserving all the good luck & fortune coming your way.
Both Australia and U.S.A can use more young Fella's with your drive & enthusiasm.
Here in Australia we are still running brand new Cabover Kenworth's even with a Studio Sleeper.
Always wondered if it worth buying a new Kenworth export it to the U.S.A convert the steering & running them on the highways of your country.
Cheers
Louis Kats 👍
I see how he loves this old truck!
Respect my friend!
Congratulations!
Nice work Hunter
I used to drive one of those fords years ago one of the smoothest riding cabovers I've ever been in
Sweet ride!!!
Nice job on the engine swap- nice thing with a cabover is just tilt the cab and go. Ford was ahead of the times with this cabover with the full air suspension cab. they fell a little tippy but its worth the nice smooth ride it gives- the smoothest riding american cabover. I drove one once and was amazed with the ride empty, even with 24's on the front.
