I know lot of the companies want to see certificates but it’s always not the case. Skill is very important… so please explain to me how do you say that your skilled and how will you convince me that you can do an exceptional job in fashion.
If you don’t have interest in fashion, then you should try for something else that you are interested in. First of all, I don’t understand why you opted to go for fashion if you were not into it. Maybe now you should really find your niche and work on that. Good luck!
Hi, don’t worry about it. You will be taught to sketch in fashion designing course. If you are passionate and creative, then don’t hesitate to go for fashion designing. Good luck!
Maam njn garments merchandiser aayit work cheyukayanu...almost 4 years experience..but njn fashion related degree eduthitila....can I apply in canada with out a fashion degree?
Hello, if you are applying for a job in Canada, it would help if you have a degree or diploma in fashion designing. Also do your research on whether Canada is the right place for you to pursue a fashion career. Otherwise you try to go and study fashion in one of the universities in Canada, which might be a better option to work there. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi, absolutely, you can if you are passionate about what you want to do! Have a vision of what you want to do. Then chart down how you want to do it. Hi, thanks for your question. Language always depends on where you are planning to take this career. If you are planning to work in Kerala, then Malayalam will do. But as you move out fro there, it’s better to learn English. It’s an universal language and definitely is a plus in your resume. More the language you know… even better! Wish you all the best!
I never said that. Do you think you are talented and unique from other designers.. then you definitely have a chance. Also everyone can’t become designers until or unless you have something different to give to people. Good luck.

Hello! I’m glad my video helped you to make a decision on starting a fashion career. Age is not at all a barrier, if you have the will for it. I have suggested many whom have asked to consider going to JD institute in Mumbai or Delhi. If you are serious about getting into a serious career. Or you can check to find online fashion courses which you could complete in the comfort of your home. Let me know what you think.
Ma'am,,,, which degree you completed?? I've a dream to do like fashion house, production, designing and merchandising etc.. But no idea of what to study for all this. Please suggest me the course name. Do diplomas help me in this???? Pleaseee replyyyy❤❤❤
Hello there, thanks for reaching out with your question. I completed B.Sc. Fashion designing and textile technology. I see you have been influenced by what you heard about fashion and it’s not that easy. First gauge yourself and make sure whether you can take the pressure that looms around fashion industry. Even choosing the right course is crucial. You have first make the decision on which stream you want to get into.. that is, designing, buying, merchandising, textile development, design techniques innovation, fashion editor, photography, etc…. There’s more to it than you can imagine. Do a proper study of the industry first and make sure you are the right person for fashion. I have seen many who fall for the glitz and glamour of fashion and not even complete their course. Even if one completes the course, don’t make it happen in fashion because they don’t work through it. I would suggest prepare yourself first with proper research. Wish you all the very best!
Hi, nice to know that you have completed your fashion designing course and looking to work in the industry. You should check your local designer houses or boutique, and see they are hiring. I’m in Chicago and I run my business here. If there’s any future plan on outsourcing embroidery work, I’ll let you know. You can email me your resume to rivetingflair@gmail.com.
Hi! Yes, you can absolutely do it, if you a flair for it. If you think you can do it and are prepared to change your career from the current one, then no one can stop you. So good luck!
Mam, It's too late for to watch your video.. I need your help. My dream is to become a fashion designer. I went to a fashion design course during her school vacation with a passion for fashion design. So i know drawing, embroidery, fabricalpainting and some dress stitching. I'm currently a BSC COSTUME DESIGN &FASHION first year student. Can you tell me what l need to do to become a fashion designer after the course??? Please replay to this, that would be very helpful to me. I want to be a fashion designer like you❤ Please help
Hello Salma, once you finish your +2 you can either do a degree or diploma fashion designing course. Degree would be the best option and yes, you can do this course outside if Kerala as there are many reputable fashion institutes that you can check out online and do a research on. Wish you all the very best!
Hi Mini! I’m glad to know that you dream to be a fashion designer one day. I’m sure you’ll and I wish your dream come true. If you are passionate, anything is possible. Now answering your question... yes, you can definitely opt a fashion designing or a fashion technology degree or diploma course after you pass out of 12th or +2. Make sure you choose institutes such as JD institute situated in New Delhi or Mumbai, so that it benefits you rather than studying in any private institutions in Kerala. I wish you all the very best and please don’t hesitate to get back if you need any help. 😊👍🏽
It will cost you like any other professional course. I can’t give you the exact numbers but yes it’s bit expensive. If you want to know the correct amount you should call respective institutes, so they could help you.
hi maam...loved the vid! can you plz tell me where you studied for the course? i would like to the know the best or average place to study. or maybe much inexpensive
Hi, I did my degree through Vogue Institute from Bangalore. It’s an expensive course. Bachelor degree in fashion and apparel designing for 3 years will cost 1 to 2 lacs even more. Fashion Design and business management for 2 years might cost from 50,000 to 5 lacs even more. Please check with different institutes in India and see which one suits you better. Hope this helps.
Mam this video is really helpful... Thank you so much... I'd love to see more videos from you about this career. Presentation was awesome As expected from someone who really has great experience ❤️ . I am a bit confused about some career option about fasion. Mam, how's fasion designing and fasion technology are different?? Is B. Voc in fasion technology is a good option for those who likes to move their career with involvement of fasion industry but not talented for drawing design ?
Thank you for watching the video and liking it! Fashion designing course is focused on fashion illustrations and other fashion related topics, but whereas fashion technology is an in-depth of study on all the aspects of fashion and fashion industry.
Nice mam... my daughter like to join b.des in fashion designing... she now try to get admission in nift , not get in nift she has plan to join private institute Amity university, noida campus...😍
It’s called jewelry designing. You can take appropriate courses for that if you have a niche for the same. Fashion institutes do provide jewelry courses as well.
If you want to get hired, sketching is a crucial aspect. If your starting your own fashion business it depends whether you’ll making lots of sketches to send it to production, then even if it’s not that great sketches it won’t matter.
Hi, if you have completed fashion designing, that next thing to do to seek a job, is to make your portfolio. Fashion portfolio is a crucial part when it comes to job hunt. Also if you have any previous internship experience add that too to your resume. I’m not sure what you mean by planning to go to gulf. If you mean Arab countries then try to send resumes to big brands that are either American or European. Anyways, I hope you find your dream job. Good luck!
Hello Manju, it’s always better to know stitching. You might not need to stitch but it will help you design using different stitching techniques and communicate with your tailor.
There’s no guarantee for that. It depends on your experience in India, as well as your skill sets. It’s a very competitive field and like any other profession, finding jobs outside in India can be challenging.
Actually it doesn’t matter. Fashion involves art, math and science. So it would be help to opt any of these. Even if you don’t, it’s purely the matter for your creative level when it comes to fashion, which non of the subjects can provide you. It’s something that is in you. 😊
Yes, but it all depends on your hand embroidery skills and how fast you can complete the work. Check your local fashion houses or boutiques for job openings. Good luck!
Hi Ananya! Degree covers more than diploma. Also it depends on the institute, how much resources are available for you to learn and ace in it. I did B.Sc. Fashion technology and that covered even textile technology. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hi! J D Institute in New Delhi and then in Mumbai would be the best options. National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT) in Bangalore would be the next best option. Wish you all the best!

B.Sc. Fashion designing is what you should be doing. If you are not interested in doing that, you can opt for diploma as well, which is shorter.
Good Luck Mole..God Bless You.
Thank you so much!😊
Ma'am,,,, which degree you completed??

Thanks mamm

Mam.... Enik gulfillu job venamennagrahamund.... Njn fashion designingaahnu padichath..athinu njn enthellaamanucheendathh... Plz reply mam...
Good luck!
Mam a fashion designer need to know stiching ?
Hello Manju, it’s always better to know stitching. You might not need to stitch but it will help you design using different stitching techniques and communicate with your tailor.

There’s no guarantee for that. It depends on your experience in India, as well as your skill sets. It’s a very competitive field and like any other profession, finding jobs outside in India can be challenging.
Which subject we take in +1 to became a fashion designer!?
Actually it doesn’t matter. Fashion involves art, math and science. So it would be help to opt any of these. Even if you don’t, it’s purely the matter for your creative level when it comes to fashion, which non of the subjects can provide you. It’s something that is in you. 😊
