Hello, could be interesting but the lack of direct image feedback and many other things such as a distorted image (fish eye), low capacity on-board battery, etc ... mean that I do not think this device will break into the action camera segment, and given the price of the device, it would be more judicious to choose a gopro, which can be used in more extreme conditions, and fixed wherever we have it need ... this is still a good camera for mountain bikes !! (so waterproof !?) given the location in the faceplate, this allows to have a beautiful image with very few jerks due to shocks above the camera ... this is the big plus in fact, which allows views of this style, mountain biking, skateboarding ... What about water resistance? to shocks?
At the beginning of the video, the Go2 isn't just on your T-shirt... it's on your Sub Zero!!! T-shirt (I had to mention it) I'm still amazed of the quality compared to such a small size! honestly I didn't expect it especially after how the previous disappointed me. And, call me a child, but those 2 feet on the charger/station, that's like bunny ears and it's so cute!! not to mention how usable it is! I think Insta did an amazing job here! With every camera they release I have second thoughts about my GoPro... Your video is the first one that I see that has audio example, not bad at all! BTW, I understood the lens, or the glass of the lens is removable and replaceable which means 2 things... 1. If broken, you can easily get another glass 2. Filters, wider lens etc.
Ahahaha, nailed it again! I am also curious to see about filters. Just after the video discovered that there's control over shutter speed as well - which means a whole lot! Sadly there's no display to get proper idea about the image state easily. I was really looking forward to seeing about your opinion and sounds like insta360 have done the job right.

Battery lasts 20mins meaning "camera battery+all the battery juice the charging case could give you", or just" the camera battery without putting it in the charging case"?

Very nice camera and video. Recording time could be way better and it's a bit pricey. However some people may need a camera you can attach to your shirt, or just about anywhere. For my use the traditional action camera is small enough, also there are so many to choose from and they are far cheaper. All in all, it's a great little action camera. 👍👍👍
I think this camera is still a generation away from being a must buy. It's not much smaller than a gopro in actual use, but the image and battery are not quite there yet. The auto horizon without any additional mod necessary though is a great feature.

There's a comparison to Hero 9 coming soon, and while I had similar thoughts about the image quality, there are some quite interesting side-by-side comparisons really worth seeing. The video will come out in the coming days. If the camera was supporting 4K, I was likely going to use it almost always instead of GoPro.
at $300 I'll stick with my FIMI PALM at $200... $300 is a bit much for something that could be gone just by stepping on it. These small cameras are very delicate so I'm not overly encouraged to pay a lot of money for things that are so sensitive.
Go 2 is for effortless clip and send. Go Pro is for whole trip recording to hours in post production with remaining moments not lost forever to buggy software. Still have session 5 due to the clip oriented direction, but removing pro tune? W..! Bye bye go pro. Go 2 is the perfect replacement.
Stabilization is fantastic. Storage is more than enough at this resolution. And I find operation a lot easier than most action cameras. Get this one and use it for a week side-by-side with a GoPro. You will be surprised.

You could, that's true. However - if there are no companies like insta360, the world of actioncams will be a lot more boring. I think that you are neglecting the element of R&D, which costs a lot. It is your own choice whether to trust my videos or not. From my end - I am quite comfortable with criticism as long as it's well justified. All the reviews I do are based on my own experience and I strictly follow a code and concept I've come up with long time ago.

It will not fall down even with heavy action. But definitely easy catch for thieves.

How is the connectivity, charging and offloading footage? I heard some issues
There only are issues if you don't use the right kind of cable. Copying speed is around 40MB/s, and is totally fine for me so far.

There's a sticky mount that I stick to the bottom side of the scooter. It can hold the Go2 because it's very lightweight.

I also believe the GoPro cannot be dethroned that easily and remains top choice for action-based sports. But this is likely going to open a new niche.

I don't see it as a drawback, because recharging from the case takes very little time and you can count on these minutes again very soon after that.
