I checked his file on Wikipedia, Joe Chill is a small-time crime boss, Batman confronted Joe and revealed his secret identity: "I'm the son of the man you murdered, I'm Bruce Wayne" Chill was frightened, sought protection from his henchmen. Once his henchmen (who had friends that were arrested by Batman) learned that Chill's action led Batman's existence, they turned on their boss and killed him, never giving Chill a chance to reveal Batman's identity. Batman learned that Chill was not a robber, but actually a hitman who had murdered the Wayne's on orders from Mafia boss Lew Moxon, in a flashback, Thomas Wayne, had worn a bat-costume to costume party, where Moxon and his men had shown up and forced him to remove a slug from his arm. Afterwards, he (Thomas) testified against Moxon in court. The crime boss swore revenge, and hired Chill soon after. Batman confronted him (Moxon) years later while wearing his father's costume (since his current one was ripped off in his last battle). Moxon, who had amnesia and so did not remember ordering the hit, suddenly remembered what he had done. Thinking Batman was actually Thomas Wayne's ghost, Moxon panicked and ran out into the street, where he was hit by a truck and killed. Man, Joe Chill is a hired hit for the Mafia? Depending on the version. In the Nolan trilogy he got Killed by Falcone after testifying against him (his death was actually the reason batman wouldn't commit to killing since he was seconds away from doing it himself before the Assasin did),in Brave and the bold it went exactly like you said with the difference it wasn't henchmen that killed him but all the major Villians in Gotham. Your version is probably the comics one.
His latest iteration was some down on his luck bum who shot the wayne's because he was scared and shot them out of instinct when Thomas tried approaching him. I like it cause it shows Bruce that crime isn't always from evil people, some are just as much a victim as him.
@@wardenunknownyeah bro I still don’t think shooting two ppl cause you’re scared after you tried robbing them makes you the same as a kid who watched their two innocent parents get murdered But nice try ig
When I first did this side quest, I thought this was gonna be a scarecrow reveal. Batman realizes he's constructing the death of his own parents because he got dosed in some fear toxin when he entered the alley.
Remember when Batman was discussing how to defeat each Justice League member and said that the best way to defeat himself is by using his parents murder against him? Well let’s just say he wasn’t lying.
The way his voice, instead of escalating into a yell, got into a deep and hateful growl for “You’re a small, selfish, MALICIOUS-“ is AWESOME. Roger Craig Smith needs more appreciation, because this is PERFECT.
Many people will complain about Roger saying he isn't as good as Kevin in the batman role but Roger is one of the best batman voices I've ever heard. He plays the young batman perfectly with the right amount of pure aggression that Bruce did not know how to tame and control at this stage of his career. Edit: it's really weird and really funny that when Alfred talks during the interrogation, the suspect looks like he's the one talking Alfred's lines
2:28 I like it that when he says “I know them” you think he’s imagining his parents but then it turns out he actually knows them. Way to trick the player into thinking they are smart.
My god, it happened right where his parents died. The amount of trauma and flashbacks that would've been brought on him, plus it was his friends. That criminal is lucky to be alive. You even see his parents glitch in his scanner, they died the exact same way.
It might’ve been the version that I played (Wii U) but when you go into investigation mode and re-create the crime scene it’s actually super imposed Bruce’s parents, that instantly told me that this particular investigation was hitting really close to Home and he was most likely going to be a little more ‘violent’ towards the perpetrator.
Best Arkham game. Best voice acting (Craig smith is the best batman). Best character designs. Best batman suit. Best cutscenes. Best boss fights. Best story. It needs a remaster. Now! Imagine playing this snowy Gotham at Christmas time.
My favorite moments are always when the bat almost breaks his rule, and Alfred brings him back or even just he calms down a bit, like in Arkham knight when he's under the influence of the fear toxin, and beats those dudes up without holding back, i mean it was the joker tbf, but still awesome hearing all the guards talking about you like some legend and how batman's starting to not hold back and all that
I just wanted to say that this was some of the best gameplay footage I've seen in a long time. Didn't speed through the tense parts, showed some of the more interesting details, and even had a joke with the head shake. Good stuff.
I think this best shows what could happen to a man with all that power, how someone could lose himself, but batman denies it, and keeps going, that's why he's strong, it's not because of his strength, it's because of his determination to not break his code and go for as long as he can.
I heard somewhere that before going out every night as Batman, Bruce forces himself to relive his parents murders in Crime Alley because he wants to make sure it sticks with him, so no other child feels as helpless and angry as he does. That's Batman.
When i played this part i legit said out loud "are those his parents" then i remembered that his parents were killed when he was 8 and theyre corpses wouldnt be left there for all those years 💀
The atmosphere of this game is as good as in Asylum. The snow, the christmas inspired music, the background police sirens and the abrupt transmissions… I also really loved these crime scene investigation side quests and the VA is doing an amazing job.
Just finished this amazing game. When I did this side mission and realized the casefile pointed me to Crime Alley, I went "Oh boyyyyy." Then Batman remarked, "I know them." Once Batman ascertained that the culprit is Ian Chase -- well, he's screwed. Absolutely incredible writing. And Captain Gordon called shortly after apprehending Chase to ask for Batman's help.
we needed more missions like these for Batman. He's also supposed to be the world's greatest detective, not just some badass martial artist who doesn't miss leg day lol
4:24 implies that Bruce threw a packed Halloween party that he was there for, but absolutely refuses to do anything on Christmas, and I think that's hilarious

@@arkhamtony3775 No, that Brave of the Bold episode was based on the comic that the original commenter posted.
*edit
His latest iteration was some down on his luck bum who shot the wayne's because he was scared and shot them out of instinct when Thomas tried approaching him. I like it cause it shows Bruce that crime isn't always from evil people, some are just as much a victim as him.
@@wardenunknownyeah bro I still don’t think shooting two ppl cause you’re scared after you tried robbing them makes you the same as a kid who watched their two innocent parents get murdered
But nice try ig
When Alfred called him "Bruce" instead of "Master Bruce" when they were having a spat I was like "Oh boi he mad."
Who has Twitter? Let's get a hashtag going to remaster Arkham origins
I swear we need to
I wanna play it on my Xbox one but it won’t let me buy it but it let’s me buy the season pass like Tf
@@youtubehero1764 Same! I so badly want to play this
@@RazorO2Productions I’m currently playing it on PS4 right now but it’s shit because I’m playing it on ps now
@@youtubehero1764 same but why Xbox series X won’t let us play games like Batman Arkham origins
I think it’s cool how The Joker was born on the same block where Batman was Born. Ace Chemicals and Crime Alley.
When I first did this side quest, I thought this was gonna be a scarecrow reveal. Batman realizes he's constructing the death of his own parents because he got dosed in some fear toxin when he entered the alley.
6:09 I like how Noc nods his head not sympathising with Ian
Remember when Batman was discussing how to defeat each Justice League member and said that the best way to defeat himself is by using his parents murder against him?
Well let’s just say he wasn’t lying.
In his own words. PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DO THIS
the writing in this game is severely underrated
Beating up multiple thugs with Electrocutioners gloves active is like, another level of satisfying
Yo when Alfred talks why does the criminals mouth move.. 7:08
Huh. Maybe it plays the audio through characters by default.
....yeah, that's a glitch.
He's trying to figure out if his teeth are broken
The way his voice, instead of escalating into a yell, got into a deep and hateful growl for “You’re a small, selfish, MALICIOUS-“ is AWESOME. Roger Craig Smith needs more appreciation, because this is PERFECT.
I like how sometime between the Origins and Asylum Batman decides that using underwear over the pants is a nice idea
2:28
I like it that when he says “I know them” you think he’s imagining his parents but then it turns out he actually knows them.
Way to trick the player into thinking they are smart.
Is nobody going to talk about the cop with Trevor Philips' voice at 0:20?
Playing a cop called Franklin... Bizzare lmao
"Ok you win i'll show you"
Batman: *Cronk*
Criminal: Kills a couple
Batman: Starts choking him
Criminal: Surprised Pikachu face
7:10 I love how the bad guys mouth moved when Alfred was talking on the coms.
The brightness is so high that it looks like it’s 7:30 in the morning.
NOW TALK!
*Batman literally closing all airways*
They were killed just like his parents and that’s the same exact place.
Those memories pissed him off.
Origins one of the best Arkham games. Honestly.
I think so too
Lol
I honestly think it's the worst of the games but still utterly fantastic.
Favorite arkham game...now my favorite batman game would have to be LEGO BATMAN THE VIDEOGA-
7:09
Alfred's voice is coming out of the thugs mouth. Didn't know he was a ventriloquist 😂😂😂
My god, it happened right where his parents died. The amount of trauma and flashbacks that would've been brought on him, plus it was his friends. That criminal is lucky to be alive. You even see his parents glitch in his scanner, they died the exact same way.
Fantastic they put this in especially a side mission perfectly shows how Batman if he doesn't watch himself could go over the line
"Gimme a minute"
Noctober: a second, take it or leave it.
Now! Imagine playing this snowy Gotham at Christmas time.
notice how the bodies are laid exactly how batman's parents were killed. the husband were on top of the wife sideways, and waas in the same exact spot
My favorite moments are always when the bat almost breaks his rule, and Alfred brings him back or even just he calms down a bit, like in Arkham knight when he's under the influence of the fear toxin, and beats those dudes up without holding back, i mean it was the joker tbf, but still awesome hearing all the guards talking about you like some legend and how batman's starting to not hold back and all that
7:20 you even don’t let him catch my breath
I just wanted to say that this was some of the best gameplay footage I've seen in a long time. Didn't speed through the tense parts, showed some of the more interesting details, and even had a joke with the head shake. Good stuff.
Love how Alfred suggested he went home afterwards to try keep him from doing something he’ll regret
Man, Roger Craig Smith is so damn awesome. If I heard his voice in a dark alley, I think I’d shit my pants
The couple died in the same place and way as batman's parents, probably the closest batman will ever come to killing someone.
My favorite Arkham game that more than deserves a remaster for current gen consoles
Same here, would prefer Knight if they didn’t needlessly shoehorn the bat-mobile into every other mission
It has to be Remastered one day the Batman Gods will hear our prayers!!
When i played this part i legit said out loud "are those his parents" then i remembered that his parents were killed when he was 8 and theyre corpses wouldnt be left there for all those years 💀
Batman is like joker for nigma people when they say something its like he wants “No one spoils the punchline”
Did anyone else notice that when Alfred said his vital signs were erratic, the thug also moved his lips??
7:09 if you look closely to the mouth of the criminal, you can see he is trickying batman by pretending to be alfred.
I'm convinced batman kills people from those monstrous punches that shake the whole screen and make em fly, brains got to be bleeding.
Monarch theatre
The place where batman was born
The place where joker dies
The atmosphere of this game is as good as in Asylum. The snow, the christmas inspired music, the background police sirens and the abrupt transmissions… I also really loved these crime scene investigation side quests and the VA is doing an amazing job.
Just finished this amazing game. When I did this side mission and realized the casefile pointed me to Crime Alley, I went "Oh boyyyyy."
Then Batman remarked, "I know them."
Once Batman ascertained that the culprit is Ian Chase -- well, he's screwed.
Absolutely incredible writing. And Captain Gordon called shortly after apprehending Chase to ask for Batman's help.
7:09 you can see the guy's lips moving when Alfred is asking if Bruce is ok
we needed more missions like these for Batman. He's also supposed to be the world's greatest detective, not just some badass martial artist who doesn't miss leg day lol
4:24 implies that Bruce threw a packed Halloween party that he was there for, but absolutely refuses to do anything on Christmas, and I think that's hilarious
4:42 Alfred: ....and my condolences as well
Let's be honest, that was for Ian and not the couple
Alfred knew Ian screwed up big time
7:10 His mouth saying what Alfred’s saying on batman’s earpiece. 🤣
This is another reason why Origins is my favorite Arkham Game and why I trust WB Montreal to do a great job with Gotham Knights

You can just feel some of the mental pain Bruce must be feeling
This game always looks weird to me, probably because it's in a snowy setting, and it's putting graphics that are meant to be in darkness into what is essentially full-bright
Criminal"OK ILL SHOW YOU"
Batman:knocks out*
The strength this guys right arm must have from holding on to those grappling hooks and they pull his body weight and his suit through the air
6:36 that's the most brutal thing I've ever seen batman do.
