Interesting stuff. I have never heard of a gloss meter before. I am currently using Griot's 3-in-1 liquid wax (paste form) and I already bought the same green bottle of Griot's ceramic spray-on wax, but have not tried yet as I am still unsure about it. I am a bit concerned if it will build up some kind of ceramic residue over time. But so is my (layman) concern with any ceramic coating.
I will say having met Mr. Sam and had several conversations with him about detailing. Super nice guy just so everyone knows... what you see on the video's is exactly how he is. I will also say those who know me know I am a huge Griot's fan, but I will use other products based on performance, price, and availability. Mr. Sam's just doesn't out perform Griot's. I personally use the 3n1 ceramic wax as a topper for my ceramic coatings.
That is awesome and I would love to meet him like you have been able to do. He seems to be a very humble guy with a lot of knowledge. I like messing around with all kinds of different detailing products but I am the same way and have my favorites. I bet the Griots works really well as a topper for your ceramic coatings. Thanks for watching, commenting and sharing!
I’m almost out of my bottle of griots 3-1. Not sure if I should re up or try something different. I will say Griot’s is not very slick but it is durable!
O man that is a tough one because you cant go wrong with Griots. Its not super slick but you are right it is very durable. Thanks for all your support brother!
The old version Turtle wax seal and shine and Griots 3 in 1 have been my go to for years . Both do the same job both last very long . I’d stick with the Griots . If the vehicle was prepped correctly and paint corrected , the Griots are very hard to beat
@@MeanBee392 if it'll last twice as long hypothetically then I don't mind it being hard to remove personally. I rather get out of hard work out of the way and not have to worry about reapplying so often and instead, just use toppers
I’m not familiar with these ceramic coatings. I’d like to apply it to my van, after I wax it as a way to extend the life of the wax protection, but will the ceramic coating peel off eventually like sunburned skin? Will it need maintenance, or do you just reapply it yearly?
Ceramic coatings or spray coatings will not peel. You could use it the way you mentioned but I would recommend just using a ceramic spray coating like the ones in this video without a wax base layer. You will get a longer life span out of a ceramic compared to a wax and also better water beading. They do need maintained but that process is very easy as well. You can use these ceramic sprays after washing and drying the paint off by just spraying and wiping and you would want to do that every 3 to 6 months depending on how your base layer is holding up. Hopefully that make since and thanks for watching and commenting!
Uncle Sam’s was a very impressive product. Thanks for saying what one you thought won. I know it was all over the place and I really don’t know why. Thanks and glad you liked the video!
Corporations are scamming people. This is just a basic wax that's pretty much the same as every other box store. Slap a logo and a feel-good story. Just stick with 3m products. Considering 3m has bought out Mcguiares and many other products just go to the source instead of shopping water down products

Hey, thanks so much for running this comparison and presenting on the video! Have a fantastic 2023!!
Thanks brother and glad you enjoyed the comparison! Thanks for stopping in and you also have a great 2023!!!
Checking in brother! Another great video!
Thanks brother I appreciate it!
Another product to consider with these two is Poly Seal from extreme solutions. KC S0O2 is also pretty durable
Amazing! Griot's for the WIN....greetings from Canada.
Griot’s is a very good product for sure! Thanks for your input!
While using the griots 3 in 1 . I notice it takes a few minutes for it to settle . The slickness don’t kick in right away .
It does, after 24 hours it does get better and slicker.

That was a very thorough. side by side. As always, great review and demo
Thanks buddy and glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for all your support!
For the price and availability, I'll stay with Griot's.
Nothing wrong with that and it's very easy to get your hands on. Thanks for sharing what one you would go with. Thank you for stopping in brother!
Great video and comparison! Haven't used either but Mr. Sam's looked pretty good 👍
Thanks buddy! I was very impressed with the Mr. Sam's!

My only complaint about Griots 3in1 is, i can't drink it. It smells so good!
Hahaha that's very true!
I think i heard someone say if its a pain in the ass to apply or remove, thats usually a indicator that its gonna last longer
That could be true to some extent I guess but it really makes the user experience bad if it's hard to use.

Just reapply every 3-4 months. It won't peel or do anything weird. It might build up and streak if you apply like every week or so, so don't do that

Uncle Sam's wax won hands down.
8 out of 10
Griots i would give 6 out of 10.
Your gloss test was all over the place in my opinion.
Good video 👍

Nice!!!
Thanks!

at the 28min mark he lets the sam's start sheeting, then stop spraying the griots lol.
Lots of spraying in this video and didn't short either product.
You need to get that pannel away from those beasts. I cringed everything you were showing slickness.
Haha I had good room but when I was editing I noticed it looked very close on video as well.
First!!!
🤘

lol
The griots is top notch stuff. I would also check out extreme solutions topper.
It is for sure! I have some Topper and love it! I also have a review on Topper on my channel. Thanks for watching and recommending a product!
