Unfortunately the day didn't go as planned (manly due to Alex loosing his wallet) and also a few other things but we made the most of it and had a good day despite that! I'll always try my best to capture as much footage of the parks as possible.
I always appreciate your honesty when it comes to these reviews and vlogs, Shawn. Great Adventure has always been a bucket list park for me ever since I started re-creating Kingda Ka in RCT3, and all the Six Flags parks in general. These Six Flags park vlogs have been a great sneak peek of what I'm about to expect when I visit them in real life, even though if they undergo some drastic changes.
I love Alex talks about speaking up and some one does right on the freeway next to you. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. Good for you standing up. Its not naughty of you to tell that park how far you traveled to get there. Have a 6 flags day, 🤣😂. Love the vlogs, in fact I have loved every vlog of this trip. Silver dollar city and Dollywood were my favorite but the parks that allowed on ride recording were GREAT!!! El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro, it’s hard to find a park with a better BIG3. I love the drop ride also, I haven’t been able to enjoy other drop rides since.
I love the way you wrapped up with have a six flags day, and thank you for saying, in a forum Six Flags can hear, what all of us in the USA have been thinking about for years. I have sat here, in complete envy, watching your channel for years, thinking about how not only theme parks, but fun fairs in Europe are on a different level compared to the dirt we have here. You have opened our eyes to what a theme park can truly be. Thank you for doing what you do. It gives us a bit of hope here on this side of the pond.
America has tons of amazing amusement parks... They passd Michigan's Adventure, Kentucky Kingdom, Dorney Park, Morey's Pierrs, Oakwood, Lake Compounce, Canobie Park, Magic Springs, and so many more parks that are incredible and offer 10x better experiences then these six flags parks. Out of the entire trip, Holiday World, Knoebels, and Kennywood were the only ones they did and they said those (+silver dollar city) were the best days of the trip for them. I don't like six flags parks. I actually had the worst time during my last Great Adventure visit but they draw in so many with their coasters when honestly, if your traveling from abroad prioritize the independent American amusement parks and theme parks before ANY six flags park. They truly are bottom barrel and its a common mistake people make when comming here... Fear not tho... Six flags is in deep financial trouble and have low attendance at their parks and once they go under and get bought by other companies those parks should turn around.
My 2nd favorite park. I've been there close to a dozen times and the last hour of every visit is spent marathoning El Toro. The thing with this park is that, with it being so big, you really need to do the rides when you are close to them. It's a LOT of walking if you are trying to hit all of the coasters and you to try to walk back and forth from one side of the park and back to the other. PLUS, take advantage of the re-rides. I've sat on Nitro for an hour on a Saturday afternoon.
It’s my home park as well and I always hear a lot of people talk about the rides there . But as a regular who goes to the park every week or 2 weeks . It has its ups and downs . Every park that they went to had there ups and downs
So glad you finally got to visit my home park and that you enjoyed Kingda Ka! I know it can have a bad rep but that roller coaster will always have a special place in my heart
I say Kingda ka is one of the top best coaster rides in the world, if you are looking for shear force, or an intense launch. I'm not an airtime fanatic like others though.
Alex did amazingly well. 👏🏻 Far better than I thought. Most people crumble with 2 weeks in Orlando. These guys drove up and down America + Canada and still did a park every day! You both should be really, really proud of yourselves! This trip was great, as you both now know which parks are worth doing again and the ones to miss. At least now you can plan those well needed rest days in and enjoy the experience a lot more and A class parks. That was my home park growing up in New Jersey (now it's Carowinds). Last time I was there was in the 90's, so I'm anxious to watch this to see what you guys thought and how the park has changed. I've had a lot of fun following the journey you guys had with these parks. It's been fantastic!
The only park on the trip I can actually weigh in with my opinions on! I only got to come here for just over half a day, but after this, I can gladly say El Toro and Kingda Ka are my top 2 coasters, and Nitro is also in my top 5. Regarding the park, I was actually impressed, the operations were great and some areas of the park were actually fairly nicely landscaped, and then there's also the area by Nitro... Great to hear your views Shawn!

El Toro literally leaves the track over those hills. The guys did a great injustice with their review of the coaster. It's the best wooden coaster in the world!!!
Next time, you MUST ride Skull Mountain again in the very back row. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just go straight to the back, ask no questions, and get in that row. Give yourself some space in the lap bar, and on that first drop experience the park’s greatest WTF, and join the cult of the Skull Mountain. The drop tower was intended to run simultaneously with Kingda Ka like with lex Luther at SFMM, but the state of New Jersey wouldn’t let them. Same reason why KK has OSTR’s NJ decided for some stupid reason that any amusement ride over 300ft tall would need ostrs from what I understand. I also hear that the upcharge for the lockers goes to the locker company not to 6F. Doesn’t really make it better, but mildly interesting imo
Also, yes the locker situation sucks, but if you have a fanny pack or zippered pockets, you can store small loose articles with you on all rides except Joker, Kingda Ka, and El Toro. Still sucks that you need to pay at all and that most rides don’t support large objects, but it’s more manageable if you pack light enough to fit in zippered pockets or a Fanny pack
Where you were walking by the lake, they used to have a big grandstand and at one point in history a water-skiing show. They also used to have a dolphin show (and maybe a diving show?) by the lake. They knocked it all down to build the Joker ride.
@mixampo Oh lol, I've ridden Steel Vengeance in fact and El Toro shits all over it. SteVe has pretty weak airtime, mediocre pacing, and absolutely 0 intensity. El Toro has stronger airtime than anything else I've ridden by a mile (closest is Magnum, but it's not even close still) It's also top 3 most intense coasters I've ridden, 1. is Kingda Ka, 2. El Toro, 3. X2. Additionally the roughness adds to the already bonkers intensity and the pacing is stupidly good, it doesn't even look real if you've seen it irl. Also when I used the g force app on El Toro is said there were 6 moments of 4.0 + positives and 4 moments of 1.4 + negatives. If you've ridden El Toro, it must've been an empty train mid row ride on the first day of the season

That's a beautiful Lake. It would have been awesome to see a water ski show there. When water ski shows were popular back in the 80s my home park Magic Mountain built a lake where their water park now stands.
I live close and love going GA. My fave is El Torro. That is one of the best wooden roller coaster. I tried Kingda Ka once and it took two tries to go over the hump.
You know you're in the presence of an enthusiast when they say ''I hope we get a roll-back on Kingda Ka'' xD I would NEVER imagine even getting on that ride, not because of the hight, it just looks terrifying! Let alone getting a roll-back 17:20 OMG It's Iron Man the ride! Everyone's favourite Six Flags Great Adventure B&M Invert! 18:30 Because I've never been to America (and probably never will get the chance to go to America), looking at this ride just gives me major Valhalla vibes xD
I'm really glad you both enjoyed my home park. The price can be a little up there compared to most other parks, but they make good use of their season passes and memberships
I knew before watching this exactly what you were going to say about kingda ka and how it compares to top thrill dragster because even though I haven’t been on either of them, from watching videos about them, I predicted that’s exactly how it would be. Well done for speaking up, I really hope that management not only of the park but higher up, sees this does something about it. Seems like all they are after is the money and don't seem the care if guests don't like what is happening, lockers need to change to either a one time fee, or be included, costs enough just to get in why should you need to pay more to enjoy yourself. Or than that good Vlog as usual

The Jersey state actually told Six Flags they can't run Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro at the same time, Six flags did that because they thought it would have a similar feel to Lex Luthor at Magic Mountain and they were originally supposed to run at the same time. This is one of my home parks and I'm glad you guys enjoyed Ka, Nitro, and El Toro! P.s I hope you come back for Jersey Devil!
Pay no heed to the rude comments guys. I for one think it's great that you and Alex are able to visit so many parks, and I don't blame Alex at all for taking breaks. Honestly if I was doing a more than a week of theme parks I'd get pretty pooped pretty quickly. Also, I will never blame a guest for disliking a Six Flags park. That company has issues, and I'm glad you two stood up for what you paid for. I love your videos guys, and I can't wait for the next one.
No way! My home park. I like Great Adventure enough to get passes every year but it definitely needs more love and care. The Justice League area is becoming my favorite the more they add to it. Edit: I’ve been tall enough to ride Kingda Ka since it first opened up, yet I’ve only been willing to wait in line a handful of times. I’ve waited through a 2.5 hour maintenance repair just to ride with friends.
I was there a week before you, with ElToroRyan and then again a few weeks later. They had since removed the jackhammer at the bottom of the rolling thunder hill! This ride is second only to night rides on the voyage at holiday world!!

My first ride on el toro was last year and it was a rain ride it was pouring! and MAN! I've never had ejector airtime that aggressive even from steel vengeance! I guess the rain really took the airtime to another level!

Please don't take any of my current or previous comments as me being mad or upset with reactions or what has been said about a park, lol....its always hard to tell how someone is expressing how they feel thru texting. If I didn't like your vlogs, i wouldn't be watching them or be subscribed to you😀...i mainly look forward to your reactions after a new coaster and you're right, everyone has their own opinions. I definitely don't agree with all your opinions, but I also agree with alot of them too! Have you done a Top 50 or top 100 rankings video (recent) or done a video ranking your B&M hypers, etc? B&M hypers are still one of my overall favorite type of coaster. I'm very happy I have Mako at my homepark.
I’m so glad that you enjoyed The Dark Knight and gave it the praise it deserves. I really appreciate the pre-show, theming, and overall experience, and it’s a shame that the ride often gets disparaged because it’s not a “thrill” ride. While Skull Mountain has an impressive scenic buildup, it loses all theming after the lift hill, while The Dark Knight commits to the theming all throughout.
Slowly but surely getting through your videos, started at 2019 USA trip (I’m from Texas) and still on it lol . Any plans to do another USA journey or got your fix on the first trip?
You guys really need to get to Six Flags Great America. I try to get up there once a year. It is my favorite Six Flags Park. Raging Bull might be my favorite Coaster of all time. Though I still haven’t made it back to Cedar Point to ride Steel Vengeance. Enjoying this US trip.

I was anticipating this video for a while now. I was actually at the park with my family that day. I'm sad that you didn't get to experience El Toro at night. Also, the front gives a total different experience than the back so I;'m told. I've only ridden the front and it is classic. 2 of my sons along with one of my brothers tells me that the back is even better. I believe that if you got a second ride on El Toro, that it would have climbed dramatically like I305's second opinion. When I visited SFGA in 2017, Kingda Ka was my number 1 that day. However, since then, El Toro has taken the title. Zumanjaro Drop is by far my number 1 drop tower. How does 415 feet at 90 miles per hour not feel intense to you? It's best to hit the safari at the beginning of your day there. it would have given you plenty of time to do everything you wanted and still have a few rerides. I'm a bit disappointed on the time of your vlog seeing this park has so much to offer. I'm glad that you liked Nitro and gave it its due. I hope you return in the future and really get the full feel of El Toro, for it is easily a world class ride and probably the best woodie in the world whether prefabricated or not.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Thank you for doing such an in-depth analysis of the different parks. In addition to my earlier comment, at Great Adventure, you can get a locker transfer for @8.00 for the day. That's @2.00 cheaper than the one at Cedar Point. Also, you can rent the @1.00 locker for 2 hours, meaning, if you are close to several rides, you can keep the same locker for up to 2 hours if the lines aren't too long. As of now, my top rides there are El Toro, Nitro, Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro, Superman, (front seat) Batman The Ride, (front seat) Green Lantern, and Joker (although I didn't get a good ride on it last time). I have not yet ridden Wonder Woman, and I think that will change my top 10. I included a couple of flat rides here. I cannot argue with anyone that thinks that Kingda Ka is number 1, or even Nitro, as my brother-in-law likes Nitro as his No. 1. I am convinced that you will move El Toro up if you experience both the front seat ride and the night experience on any seat quite frankly. Hope you get a chance to really experience the rides as much as you were able to do Cedar Point's rides. Keep riding!
I'll start with it gr8 watching your comontery of all amusement parks worldwide but and a bad one but if others video tape the rides how come you don't or do they see you coming and tell you can't. One thing I will say Shawn, I usually ask at the kiosks in six flags parks for some water and they usually don't mind giving it to you :) its quick hydration and it means you don't have to lug liquid round the whole park and it may even save some money and compensate for having to spend out on lockers, plus it'll keep you in good health. No one should ever underestimate the heat. Also, great vlog!
When Zumenjaro was built it was designed to drop at the same time as Kingda Ka launches. However, the park was not allowed to run them at the same time due to New Jersey laws.
Shawn, I am not sure if you noticed but there is an $8.00 movable locker choice at Six Flags Great Adventure. They way you talked it sounded like you paid per locker and you didn’t have to do that. Next time you go, look for the movable locker option. Hopefully you will visit again when the single rail opens.

Charlotte woud love the Safari VIP experience and worth every penny. Feeding Elephants, Giraffes and even getting to touch and interact with the animals.
I was lead to believe that the yellow loop on green lantern was painted yellow as it has to do with the green lantern comic books. As he can be defeated by the power of the yellow stone, or something like that??

The drop tower was intended to run simultaneously with Kingda Ka like with lex Luther at SFMM, but the state of New Jersey wouldn’t let them. Same reason why KK has OSTR’s NJ decided for some stupid reason that any amusement ride over 300ft tall would need ostrs from what I understand.
I also hear that the upcharge for the lockers goes to the locker company not to 6F. Doesn’t really make it better, but mildly interesting imo

Also, yes the locker situation sucks, but if you have a fanny pack or zippered pockets, you can store small loose articles with you on all rides except Joker, Kingda Ka, and El Toro. Still sucks that you need to pay at all and that most rides don’t support large objects, but it’s more manageable if you pack light enough to fit in zippered pockets or a Fanny pack
Where you were walking by the lake, they used to have a big grandstand and at one point in history a water-skiing show. They also used to have a dolphin show (and maybe a diving show?) by the lake. They knocked it all down to build the Joker ride.
El Toro is the greatest coaster EVER

@mixampo Oh lol, I've ridden Steel Vengeance in fact and El Toro shits all over it. SteVe has pretty weak airtime, mediocre pacing, and absolutely 0 intensity. El Toro has stronger airtime than anything else I've ridden by a mile (closest is Magnum, but it's not even close still) It's also top 3 most intense coasters I've ridden, 1. is Kingda Ka, 2. El Toro, 3. X2. Additionally the roughness adds to the already bonkers intensity and the pacing is stupidly good, it doesn't even look real if you've seen it irl. Also when I used the g force app on El Toro is said there were 6 moments of 4.0 + positives and 4 moments of 1.4 + negatives. If you've ridden El Toro, it must've been an empty train mid row ride on the first day of the season

That's a beautiful Lake. It would have been awesome to see a water ski show there. When water ski shows were popular back in the 80s my home park Magic Mountain built a lake where their water park now stands.

Six Flags Great Adventure is my home park and I have gone on every ride there and each of them are really good
I live close and love going GA. My fave is El Torro. That is one of the best wooden roller coaster. I tried Kingda Ka once and it took two tries to go over the hump.

Seems like all they are after is the money and don't seem the care if guests don't like what is happening, lockers need to change to either a one time fee, or be included, costs enough just to get in why should you need to pay more to enjoy yourself.

The Jersey state actually told Six Flags they can't run Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro at the same time, Six flags did that because they thought it would have a similar feel to Lex Luthor at Magic Mountain and they were originally supposed to run at the same time. This is one of my home parks and I'm glad you guys enjoyed Ka, Nitro, and El Toro! P.s I hope you come back for Jersey Devil!

Pay no heed to the rude comments guys. I for one think it's great that you and Alex are able to visit so many parks, and I don't blame Alex at all for taking breaks. Honestly if I was doing a more than a week of theme parks I'd get pretty pooped pretty quickly. Also, I will never blame a guest for disliking a Six Flags park. That company has issues, and I'm glad you two stood up for what you paid for. I love your videos guys, and I can't wait for the next one.

No way! My home park. I like Great Adventure enough to get passes every year but it definitely needs more love and care. The Justice League area is becoming my favorite the more they add to it.
Edit: I’ve been tall enough to ride Kingda Ka since it first opened up, yet I’ve only been willing to wait in line a handful of times. I’ve waited through a 2.5 hour maintenance repair just to ride with friends.
I was there a week before you, with ElToroRyan and then again a few weeks later. They had since removed the jackhammer at the bottom of the rolling thunder hill! This ride is second only to night rides on the voyage at holiday world!!
The drop tower on the side of the ride makes it unique and interesting. Not ugly, not dumb except maybe for operations

I'll be visiting this park for the first time very soon. I watched your video from start to finish, and I really enjoyed hearing the final thoughts at the end from two different people, I can't wait to ride Kingda Ka!
My first ride on el toro was last year and it was a rain ride it was pouring! and MAN! I've never had ejector airtime that aggressive even from steel vengeance! I guess the rain really took the airtime to another level!
Japan and Kuwait also have a Batman clone, though the one in Kuwait has been SBNO since 2016.

If I didn't like your vlogs, i wouldn't be watching them or be subscribed to you😀...i mainly look forward to your reactions after a new coaster and you're right, everyone has their own opinions. I definitely don't agree with all your opinions, but I also agree with alot of them too! Have you done a Top 50 or top 100 rankings video (recent) or done a video ranking your B&M hypers, etc? B&M hypers are still one of my overall favorite type of coaster. I'm very happy I have Mako at my homepark.

I’m so glad that you enjoyed The Dark Knight and gave it the praise it deserves. I really appreciate the pre-show, theming, and overall experience, and it’s a shame that the ride often gets disparaged because it’s not a “thrill” ride. While Skull Mountain has an impressive scenic buildup, it loses all theming after the lift hill, while The Dark Knight commits to the theming all throughout.
Slowly but surely getting through your videos, started at 2019 USA trip (I’m from Texas) and still on it lol . Any plans to do another USA journey or got your fix on the first trip?

You guys really need to get to Six Flags Great America. I try to get up there once a year. It is my favorite Six Flags Park. Raging Bull might be my favorite Coaster of all time. Though I still haven’t made it back to Cedar Point to ride Steel Vengeance. Enjoying this US trip.

I was anticipating this video for a while now. I was actually at the park with my family that day. I'm sad that you didn't get to experience El Toro at night. Also, the front gives a total different experience than the back so I;'m told. I've only ridden the front and it is classic. 2 of my sons along with one of my brothers tells me that the back is even better. I believe that if you got a second ride on El Toro, that it would have climbed dramatically like I305's second opinion. When I visited SFGA in 2017, Kingda Ka was my number 1 that day. However, since then, El Toro has taken the title. Zumanjaro Drop is by far my number 1 drop tower. How does 415 feet at 90 miles per hour not feel intense to you? It's best to hit the safari at the beginning of your day there. it would have given you plenty of time to do everything you wanted and still have a few rerides. I'm a bit disappointed on the time of your vlog seeing this park has so much to offer. I'm glad that you liked Nitro and gave it its due. I hope you return in the future and really get the full feel of El Toro, for it is easily a world class ride and probably the best woodie in the world whether prefabricated or not.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide Thank you for doing such an in-depth analysis of the different parks. In addition to my earlier comment, at Great Adventure, you can get a locker transfer for @8.00 for the day. That's @2.00 cheaper than the one at Cedar Point. Also, you can rent the @1.00 locker for 2 hours, meaning, if you are close to several rides, you can keep the same locker for up to 2 hours if the lines aren't too long. As of now, my top rides there are El Toro, Nitro, Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro, Superman, (front seat) Batman The Ride, (front seat) Green Lantern, and Joker (although I didn't get a good ride on it last time). I have not yet ridden Wonder Woman, and I think that will change my top 10. I included a couple of flat rides here. I cannot argue with anyone that thinks that Kingda Ka is number 1, or even Nitro, as my brother-in-law likes Nitro as his No. 1. I am convinced that you will move El Toro up if you experience both the front seat ride and the night experience on any seat quite frankly. Hope you get a chance to really experience the rides as much as you were able to do Cedar Point's rides. Keep riding!

We always ask for permission for on ride filming however many parks on this trip don't allow it
One thing I will say Shawn, I usually ask at the kiosks in six flags parks for some water and they usually don't mind giving it to you :) its quick hydration and it means you don't have to lug liquid round the whole park and it may even save some money and compensate for having to spend out on lockers, plus it'll keep you in good health. No one should ever underestimate the heat. Also, great vlog!

When Zumenjaro was built it was designed to drop at the same time as Kingda Ka launches. However, the park was not allowed to run them at the same time due to New Jersey laws.

Shawn, I am not sure if you noticed but there is an $8.00 movable locker choice at Six Flags Great Adventure. They way you talked it sounded like you paid per locker and you didn’t have to do that. Next time you go, look for the movable locker option. Hopefully you will visit again when the single rail opens.

Wow, i love how we are all different, not judging. Green Lantern and a Wild mouse eh? Lol. Still that Safari is so out of place for a SF park. Worth another visit to experience it more. Charlotte woud love the Safari VIP experience and worth every penny. Feeding Elephants, Giraffes and even getting to touch and interact with the animals.

You could drive your own car in the safari this year, it was amazing! You've definitely gotta come back for a night ride on Nitro!!
I was lead to believe that the yellow loop on green lantern was painted yellow as it has to do with the green lantern comic books. As he can be defeated by the power of the yellow stone, or something like that??
That's also most likely another reason why they kept it like that!
