Medusa was the original name of the coaster when it opened in 1999. They changed it to Bizarro in 2009 and then back to Medusa a couple years ago.
I think a lot of people in the UK are impressed that Thorpe park opened colossus and nemesis inferno back to back but six flags great adventure is even more impressive opening kingda Ka and el Toro back to back.

My Home Park Great Adventure. Since you like Amusement Park History, the one thing Six Flags will never mention is the horrific Haunted House Fire that killed 8 people on May 11, 1984. The location is where the new coaster is being built. Every ride that has been placed in that area has failed. Six Flags failed to have any memorial or Plaque to remember the victims. All of which were on school trips (like Adventureland the other day).
That’s very sad to hear. It’s our first time hearing about this.
I need to get back here!!! The one time i went ka was down. But i got one ride in the back on el toro and its still my favorite lap on any coaster ive ever had

I may be in the minority, but I prefer Kingda Ka over TT2 by quite a lot. However, original Dragster was the better ride.

Top Thrill 2 is my number 1 coaster and Kingda Ka is my number 2. The two stratas are literally my favorite coasters!

That is sad to hear the state this park is in. I always thought after Magic Mountain this is their flag ship park. Crazy that they would let one of their main parks in its its 50th celebration season get so run down. I'm getting worried that the merger between Cedar and Six Flags may end up being a bad thing. Hopefully this is just a temporary budget pinch before the merger and things get better.
It’s such a shame to see. Hopefully they’ll get the park looking in a better state soon!
I actually got the season pass and the dining plan. You get 2 meals and a snack any day.

Been waiting for this video and Charlotte's first reaction to KK. Fun fact, Medusa originally debuted as Medusa 1999 but was changed to Bizzaro in 2009 and then changed back to Medusa in 2022. Glad you guys had a good day with low crowds.

Congratulations riding Kinda Ka 5 times in a row and twice in the front! (The front car is elite; I only got three rides; my last being in the very front row. It's in my top 30 coasters and top 4 in the park). I finally visited for four days straddling May and June two years ago in 2022 for the 1st time since 1981 when I was 11 with my dad and brother when I rode my 1st coaster inversion in Lightning Loops blue which is now The Diamondback, like "revolution" at Blackpool w longer trains. Hope you ride El Toro row 17; have and El Toro shirt, but I wouldn't want an "I tamed El Toro" shirt; I'd prefer "I rode El Toro untamed". It was rougher two years ago when I was there but it was still my favourite ride in the park. I'd prefer it less rough like it is today so I wouldn't have to tame it!😄 What are your favourite 5 coasters at SFGA N.J. and in what order? Mine are 5: Medusa. 4: Kinda Ka; 3: Jersey Devil 2: Nitro; 1: El Toro all in the back car except K.K. in the front. The only moments on El Toro I found truly elite are the drop and 1st two airtime hills that follow it, in row 17, but I found the rest of it either rough or overrated, but at least the three turns following th Rolling Thunder hill provided contrasts in low to the ground 90 degree banked turns.
Nitro is B&M's longest coaster except Leviathan and Fury 325, and has the longest prime ride time of any B&M hyper. It's graceful enough for my mom to ride since she rode Runaway Train in 1977, (the 1st time I visited the park and it was during a storm; we marathoned the Log Flume) but that's my wishful thinking, even though she studied ballet and her mom was a Isadora Duncan protege. That's because she was never a coaster fan, and 81 years old. (She found out she hated coasters riding The Cyclone in the 50s) But I always think about her watching Nitro POVs. It's the most graceful B&M hyper I've ridden! Jersey Devil was my 1st single rail, and my last was Railblazer. I'm not as old as my mom, but at 54 I'm old enough to prefer Jersey Devil, which I enjoyed marathoning, to Railblazer. I enjoyed Railblazer the 1st few times, but I only rode it 9 times and by my last 3 or 4 rides I didn't enjoy it anymore. The top four coasters of SFGA N.J. ares so good for me that it's my favourite Six Flags park I've visited, with only the two Cedar Fair parks in Ohio being better.

What a mess of a park! Some great rides but the overall presentation/upkeep looks dreadful.

The big thing I hope the merger helps with is, the Six Flags parks are really bad at getting there new attractions open at the start of the season. They don’t open until the middle or even end of the season, which is disappointing. The goal should be for new attractions to be open no later than Memorial Day.
Hopefully they can get this sorted moving forwards!

This is my home park. I live about 20 minutes away. I haven't been there in YEARS most because it's gone downhill. I rather drive 2-3 hours to Dorney Park or Hershey.

Such a shame watching this vlog as the park has a few of my bucket list coasters including El Toro however the place looks like a dump and doesn’t make me want to rush there anytime soon !!! And what is it with major parks in the USA having rides still closed when it’s almost June !? Makes no sense to me

@@Coaster_Crazy I know they went last year but I know he has a Cedar Fair pass and with Iron Menace being new there this year and Dorney being that close to Great Adventure I was just curious.
We didn’t visit Dorney Park on this trip, however I’m sure we’ll return at some point in the future!
It certainly has some interesting rides here, but a shame the park isn’t in the best shape.

They sadly neutered the launch of ka last year as it was flying over the tophat
8:20 It is Porky Pig. Warner Brothers still have a contract with Six Flags to provide Looney Tunes characters at their parks. Wish Warner Brothers would open their own theme parks in the states, similar to Dubai and Australia.
You should visit Canada Shawn, much nicer than the states.
When it comes to theme parks definitely not. There are only two major parks and La Ronde is especially awful.
I visited Canada back in 2019 and would love to come back at some point in the future!
Some parks will let you bring your own food.
I personally think that kingda ka looks better than original dragster because it reaches a higher top speed in 0.3 seconds faster than dragster did and has an extra 36ft and, most importantly, has the huge airtime hill. I think top thrill 2 is probably the best of the 3 though because of the spike and that insane speed it now crests the top hat.

$65.00 is absolutely ridiculous for parking. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is our home park, just 40 miles from us. We have passes and go almost weekly and i believe parking is $34.00. It is a much prettier park. Lately a lot of things are closed. Alpengeist is down for a while due to a crack in the footing. Much love to you both. My dream is to see you sometime.
Green Lantern was relocated from Kentucky Kingdom where it opened in 1997 as Chang, stealing the “record breaking” stand up title from Cedar Point’s then one-year-old Mantis (now Rougarou) by being less than ten feet taller, and a few feet longer. It’s also basically a mirror image clone of Mantis/Rougarou. When Six Flags parted with Kentucky Kingdom they took the massive B&M.
Seems like an odd coincidence that all the observation-type rides appear to be indefinitely out of service. 🤔

Glad she finally got on Kingda Ka. Actually, the Safari is done by the jeeps near the log flume again this year. It’s just that with all of the construction being done in that area of the park it’s closed off for the time being. But once the construction on the log flume and mine train is done, it will reopen and be like it was when you first went to this park.

I’m planning to go to Six Flags Great Adventure hopefully in 2026 during my first trip to New York.
Possible reason for so much Bon Jovi music. Park isn't very far from house he grew up in.
