Carowinds is my home park! I’m glad you enjoyed. This park is Cedar Fair’s new favorite child and they’ve really turned this park around from it’s Paramount days. It’s actually the largest Cedar Fair park in terms of land at 407 acres. We used to have a flume ride where Cooperhead Strike is now and a rapids ride that closed this year for future development. There was also a monorail years ago when the park first opened but has been closed for a while.
Gotta love the brand new (used) SLC they installed at Michigan's Adventure, 11 years ago. Love hearing the host on the train still having to say it's MA's newest coaster. Yep, Cedar Fair is awesome to the smaller parks.

A great park for coaster fans. Sorry that Alex had a nasty experience but it was great to see him joining in again at the end. It’s always good to praise customer service as that can really make a difference to your park day. I’m liking the sound of the Cedar Fair parks based on your vlogs. Great vlog! I completely understand Alex's experience on the Flying Dutchman. I handle almost all roller coasters very well until I rode Firehawk at Kings Island a few years back. By the time I got to the brake run, my head was spinning and my stomach was a mess. My head was messed up until I woke up the following morning. I think the warm weather plus the unpleasant restraints/seating position played a big part.
These vlogs just get better and better - What an incredible park - But the best part for me are the friendships and the memories that you’re all making between you - incredible adventures shared - can’t put a price on that! - Onwards! 👍👍👍👍

Of all the bucket list coasters including TTD and SV at Cedar point... Fury 325 is the one that will get me to book flights over to the US, I'm sure of it. It looks absolutely breathtaking. It looks like my dream Coaster.

I love these videos because you live the life I onced dream of living myself! Back then there was no youtube - and any (CFTV) videos I made took people most of the day to download!! I was truly born at the wrong time! DF
2 weeks ago, I was at Carowinds and thought I was going to find CS to be ok, at best. I got to ride it at the end of the night, 3 times in a row, and absolutely loved it...the POV's don't do this ride justice. It was one of my biggest surprises on the 22 day, 29 parks trip I was on...just an absolutely fantastic ride.
Just finished the vlog. I am so hapoy you loved the park. Fury is my 2nd favorite coaster and I just love it. The operations are the best in the chain and it was awesome to see you get the night re-ride. Glorious. We live in Buffalo, NY and we make the drive every other year to do Carowinds, Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kings Dominion with 2 days at each. It's really an awesome coaster road trip. Cheers!

I grew up near there and have been visiting Carowinds from the mid 70s. The first roller coaster I ever rode was Thunder Road, an excellent wooden coaster they tore down a few years ago. My first loop coaster was White Lightning there which is also now gone. The place has changed so much , but still a great park.
I haven’t watched you in like 6 months and oh boy you have got me back into roller coasters. I’m like a film critic now because I love films but I really want to ride a rollercoaster right now

Those "cheeks" were my first thought too Shaun on my first ride at the bottom of that drop - I'd just come off I305 and had those cheeks for a good 4-5 seconds on that first turn and rise up... but had no idea I'd get some of that on a B&M! You get intensity at the bottom of Millenium Force, but nothing like what you get on Fury 325 and I305. Incredible stuff.

Hey! That's ME! around minute 27. My boyfriend, brother and I were on a rollercoaster road trip. I was just reminiscing and remembered we ran into this situation. Trying to respectfully ignore the vlogger in front of us, as you do. We hit Canada's Wonderland, Dorney Park, King's Dominion, Carowinds, and King's Island over the course of 8 days before returning home to Michigan.
You really get the whole Six Flags VS Cedar Fair thing now. SFOG has an arguably better coaster lineup, but the care Cedar Fair puts into their parks makes them way more enjoyable than any Six Flags park I have been to.
@@ofclshn Honestly, yes. SFOG may not have a ride that reaches Fury, but the average quality of their coaster collection is better and more consistent. Once you're past Fury, Afterburn, and Intimidator (which I find to be fine but not exceptional) the quality level drops off dramatically at Carowinds, IMO. SFOG also would EASILY be a nicer park than Carowinds if Six Flags bothered to take care of it and had better employees.
Glad y'all are having a fun, if steamy time. Park looks pretty. Off-ride shot suck the life outa me. They are a scourge upon these lands! Beyond that, I just wanted to mention that Dale Earnhardt was known as the 'intimidator'. The ride is themed for NASCAR.

I’ve been watching you for ages yet did I know you visited Charlotte and Carowinds although I’m British it’s great seeing you visit a place where I live 10 minutes away!
Also 2 fun facts, 1. The Carolina cyclone was the first ride in the u s a to have four inversions and it held that record for 2 weeks. It was the first of its kind. 2. Before carowinds was owned by cedar fair it DID have a monorail but my dad said that the monorail got taken out when he was a little kid. Thanks for your time and enjoy your ride here at carowinds.😂

I wasn’t expecting much airtime when I first rode Fury 325, but I was surprised when I actually got some decent airtime on those last hills. Not extreme airtime like on RMCs or Hyper coasters, but it was still good. Fury 325 is one of my favorite roller coasters.
i rode copperhead strike 10 times in a row because it was my first time going to carowinds and i had a fast pass, i loved it that much. it’s probably my favorite roller coaster i’ve ever been on but i haven’t been on many so that isn’t saying a lot.
One thing i noticed about Copperhead Strike was while waiting in line at the steps right before the station was the beam incredibly shaking as the train flew through the "top-hat" element!

But if you travel so many miles and you can only stay for 1 or 2 days and have not so much money for coming back soon - it is very disappointing when so many rides are down or open later. They have a bad communication for the visitors and bad operations. Disney has also rides down very often, but they have the better communication and they are a 365 day Park. If Six Flags Parks dont change their Quality Standards in the future - they have no more chances against Cedar Fair or Sea Life/Bush Gardens Parks.
While I love Alex, Brett has been a great addition to these vlogs

Vekoma actually fixed the Nighthawk situations with new restraints for the newer 2 Dutchmen rides and also the dual loading stations

Also 2 fun facts, 1. The Carolina cyclone was the first ride in the u s a to have four inversions and it held that record for 2 weeks. It was the first of its kind. 2. Before carowinds was owned by cedar fair it DID have a monorail but my dad said that the monorail got taken out when he was a little kid. Thanks for your time and enjoy your ride here at carowinds.😂

Definitely have to go and ride fury 325 it looks amazing. They look like they've got some great rides here, especially copperhead strike which reminds me of Icon at Blackpool pleasure beach
I wasn’t expecting much airtime when I first rode Fury 325, but I was surprised when I actually got some decent airtime on those last hills. Not extreme airtime like on RMCs or Hyper coasters, but it was still good. Fury 325 is one of my favorite roller coasters.

i rode copperhead strike 10 times in a row because it was my first time going to carowinds and i had a fast pass, i loved it that much. it’s probably my favorite roller coaster i’ve ever been on but i haven’t been on many so that isn’t saying a lot.
I hope Vekoma learned from their crappy flying coasters. I want F.L.Y. to be awesome.

One thing i noticed about Copperhead Strike was while waiting in line at the steps right before the station was the beam incredibly shaking as the train flew through the "top-hat" element!
Fury 325 is a beast and definitely a top 5 in the world... I've got close to 300 coaster credits and this one is a beast..

@@ThemeParkWorldwideNo question, Six Flags has also a lot of great rides. But if you travel so many miles and you can only stay for 1 or 2 days and have not so much money for coming back soon - it is very disappointing when so many rides are down or open later. They have a bad communication for the visitors and bad operations.
Disney has also rides down very often, but they have the better communication and they are a 365 day Park.
If Six Flags Parks dont change their Quality Standards in the future - they have no more chances against Cedar Fair or Sea Life/Bush Gardens Parks.
