      Everybody doubted Dodge, and the Charger concept turned out pretty nice IMO. I can see the company worked to create something with a characteristic of its own.
      So, I wouldn't doubt Porsche's engineering team either, it's not gonna be average once the final form arrives.

    You don’t buy a Porsche for power, you buy it bc it’s usable, well engineered, and still slaps everyone on track

    • @NateDog_WDE
      @NateDog_WDE ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is exactly what I was gonna say. 911s (particularly the gt3s) punch far above their weight class in terms of power on a track. Having power for the sake of power is stupid having usable power is way cooler 😎

  • @BraynielPeraltaGomez

    I think them going ev is not bad. Drive the tycan it’s not a boring electric car it drives like a Porsche and now this a 1-1 power to weight electric car with Porsche handling. I’m not the biggest fan of EVs but as far as Ik porsche is doing them right

    Another comment, because why not.
    This is two distinct lineups meeting up at the same point for a common goal. The fastest and boldest flagship models that showcase cutting-edge technology that Porsche developed in motorsports, a story that began with the 959; and the Mission series of fully electric concept cars as the preparation for a new era, with its first project eventually coming to the streets as the Taycan. As a result, sky-high ambitions this model has to meet once its final version comes to surface. It's about making a statement.

      Agreed, when the 918 came out at the time, hybrids were though of as nothing more than cars like the Prius, boring, economical econo-boxes that got you from point a to b and saved you a ton of money while doing so, so when the 918 came out and showed people that hybrids could in fact be crazy performance vehicles, people’s jaws dropped. The Mission X is another example of that, crazy performance in the form of a 1:1 car, and truly breathtaking interior and exterior design, it’s a showcase of how Porsche continues to be at the forefront of automotive design. I like the car, I really do, it’s tied with the Rimac and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N as being one of the very few EVs that I actually really like, but I would LOVE the Mission X if they added SOME sort of gas or even Hydrogen power to the vehicle, but that’s just down to personal opinion

      @@Jerseygarage I fully agree that there's part of the experience that EVs can't match so far, especially when talking about racing. But it takes time and experimentation to convince. Purism and resistance to novelty are gonna be around no matter what, but also there will be those working to show it's possible.
      (If I were to detail what I think of electric power right now, it would be an essay so big that the TH-cam comment box can't handle 😂)

    I know a bit more about the Mission x project and I can’t share too much because of a NDA, but I can tell you that the idea of showcasing revolutionary technologies in Porsches Hypercars will continue with this project. The battery chemistry they/we are developing for this car is far beyond anything that is driving on the road right now!
    We have to stop seeing EVs as one technology. Just like there are i4, f4, v6, f6, i6,… for combustion engine cars, there are so many different electric motors and battery technologies and there are many more in development at the moment. From my point of view this car is very exciting!! 😍👌🏻

    A problem with Americans is that they don't know the power-weight ratio! They make a 2000Kg sports car which obviously has to have at least 800HP to move!

      Kinda my issue as well, the only thing really separating Rimac from Porsche from Any other EV Hypercar I’d the badge and the interior, as the motors and batteries are effectively the same, but hey, im never gonna be able to afford one so I don’t really think I’m the target audience

    I hear you bro. Check out how Porsche is run. It’s a hedge fund. So they only care about their investors and shareholders. Oh and personal interest. I love Porsche cars since the founder. But did you know the founder made an electric car? If not look up Ferdinand Porsche electric vehicle designs. There a few. It’s one of their founders who created an electric car. Plus gas cars kill us with each passing day. You can see it but they do. I love gas but it not worth my life. Do what you wish with yours. I would never force someone to change their mind or opinion.
    Porsche don’t care what we think. Just sales and marketing. It looks good to bring out a halo car on his invention anniversary or something similar. It’s a gimmick to boost stocks and sell cars. They could have done anything else. The Gemera comes as a V8 and 3 cylinder engine hybrids. Just show brother it just for show.

    I diagnose your conclusion with cringe. The taycan is such an amazing car, im sure whatever they do with this will be amazing. Also, "Car enthusiasts" that hate EVs arent car enthusiasts. They're ICE enthusiasts. Real enthusiasts enjoy all.

    • @Jerseygarage
      @Jerseygarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like EVs like the Ioniq 5 N, the McMurtry Spierling, and the Rimac as well, because they have things that make them unique. I don't blindly love every ICE vehicle, for me to like a car, whether it be powered by unicorn farts, gas, diesel, EV, hydrogen, or anything in between, it has to have something that helps set it apart from the competition.
      The reason I tend to not like EVs is because they are all the same car, powered by the same things. At least with ICE you get different engines like I4, I6, V8, V12, etc. EVs is just, different battery sizes, nothing to really set it apart.
