I love that SS2 is still getting updates even now say what you all will with the new practically new game that is Fallout London (like 3 with New Vegas but Free!) but this is Fallout 4 at its PEAK as a immersive family of mods
Kinggath has recently released the update for July. In it he spoke about making SS2 compatible with Fallout: London. If that isn't great news, I don't know what is.
I'm sorry to say Jon that attacking those "raiders" to get the agility bobblehead is another weight on the evil side of the "mayor bob is the real baddie" scales. My Norwegian is better now than when I last encountered them, so this time I can confirm that they're pleading with you to leave them and their boat alone. However, if its any consolation, at least one of the guys you killed this time around cried out "I'm coming home" so that's nice.
If Bethesda had made these guys a minor faction instead of just random-ass raiders so we could maybe do a quest for them to get that Bobblehead instead of blowing them up without options, that would have been cool. Kinda sad the mod didn't do that, given how many other things they changed.
I think suddenly going into a dramatic crashlanding cutscene with a nuclear explosion in the background should from now on being called "a Call of Duty" if it wasn't already, that sudden transition from fallout 4 gameplay to that was so funny.
@jeremysaklad6703 it looks similar in size to the Megaton bomb which absolutely was, the only excuse is ancient nukes have probably degraded as consumables like tritium fizzle away over centuries

While I do like this plot way more than the actual plot of Fallout 4, it feels like it's ignoring the Brotherhood's existence. The Prydwen is docked by the sea and the Brotherhood has claimed the commonwealth as it's territory with an already established intent for war. I feel like they would very much care if a faction with the intent of hurting the locals suddenly stormed in from the sea.
It would be too difficult for a mod to anticipate what choices a player may or may not make with a faction that is so heavily tied with the main quest. It was a lot easier to just flesh out an underutilized faction like the gunners. But the mod authors do provide you with different options depending on whom you side with. In fact, if you side with the BoS, you can use the them as reinforcements in the final battle of SS2.
I think you are totally missing the point of the BoS, they only care about technology, not civilians, and would gladly go to war with the player for posession of the technology in HQ. Only the BoS in Fallout 3 had any interest in helping the civilian population. The BoS in FO4 came prepared for war with the Institute, because of the technology they posess and not for any desire to help the population of the Commonwealth, in fact they exploit the population for their own ends. As evidenced by the Brotherhood ending for FO4, if they can't posess the technology for themselves, they will destroy it.
@@wolfen210959 The BoS in this very game rollup and start killing everything that considers itself hostile to civilians, including raiders who don't have any tech worth taking, at least, nothing more than the Gunners would have. It's inconsistent that they would allow another faction to declare war on the commonwealth, especially since they plan on using those civilians to supply their own needs. I could somewhat believe it if the Gunners came by land because the BoS might not see them coming and they're preoccupied with other things, but by sea, the BoS would have clear sight of them, especially if they're planning to attack all along the coast. This could be easily fixed with a simple throwaway line that explains why the BoS wouldn't retaliate.
@@demusicfan A simple throwaway line would suffice. If the Brotherhood has entered the game, just have someone say. "The Brotherhood is on the shore, aren't the Gunners worried about them?" Seeing the island base building gave me solid Game of Thrones Intro vibes. But now i want to see the other possible settlements for the differences in building materials/styles.
The mod's wiki has a picture of each, at the page of the corresponding mission. I think the Castle's outpost plan is as good as the island, but Warwick is not far behind either.
John, what if that robotic voice came from the unlapped section of the Plaza ? It wasn't on the plans, had a really military look, and was situated under a broadcasting center. Perhaps someone accidentally connect an ancient automated system to the comm array, and it began fulfilling it's last orders from before the war.

The Gunners having this much firepower and attack ability is ridiculous when they're supposed to be some nobodies barely above raiders, just below BoS.
Ok, between "Raiders" and the Brotherhood there is a massive gap in power. And "just below the BoS" is kinda terrifying. The Brotherhood might only have one Airship in Boston proper and they still have decent power projection. The game implies the gunners are sending basically a whole battlegroup, which I expect to be stronger than a Brotherhood expeditionary force. Unfortunately, while the BoS has quite a bit of background lore, the gunners are basically a blank slate. We simply are never told just how big that organisation actually is or where they are properly headquartered. I thing Bethesda just wanted them to be a local force, and then the mod went and turned them up a few notches for plot reasons.
@@Kr0noZ I guess, but at the same time, they've always felt like well organized raiders that pretended to be mercs, which is what the wiki says as well. It feels weird having them do a full on multi-vehicle amphibious invasion of the Commonwealth right in view of the Prydwen who aren't in the least worried about this known hostile force suddenly pulling a mass air assault onto the land with multiple boats a rock's throw away from the big airship that's their current base of operations that Maxson is on at that very moment. And I'd like to state, most importantly, that I love this mod. It's impressive and the plot so far was insanely good and well made, the mod itself is just brilliantly designed. It's just that I'm a little hung up on the The Man Who Sold The World timeskip and the Gunners being so powerful relatively suddenly. Like this mod is so incredibly impressive in so many ways, this is just a slight thing that I'm hung up about that strikes me as a bit off. That and maybe Rafael, who feels kind of like an edgy badass OC someone decided to drop into mod for no real reason, feels a bit out of place.

No trouble lads *blows up boat*
So fun : ) Wonderful!
I wonder, if you had been to the Yangtze, would it have been brought up in the meeting to help take out some Gunner ships, too?
Considering that the Yangtze sets sail for home after you complete the quest, it only stays in range for a few days, so that would depend on how recently the quest was completed.

Is Sheldon Cooper making a guest appearance this episode?
11:38 Uhhhh uhhhh uhhh Jon not the best choice of words
Jon, I'm disappointed in you! Never have you had a better opportunity to end on "And on that bombshell, let's call it a part there". I'll excuse you if you've never watched Top Gear, which I presume is the case, but still... ;)
Freaking Exciting!!
Cliffhanger!!!
It would be great if the chinese sub was part of the defense force

How do you check watch time on channels? I might be in first for you, and I loved every minute ❤
Why did the raider on the ship speak Norwegian at 13:40?
Cause they are norwegian, and if you look closer, they are all ghouls, you can guess who they are truly
