This was THE best video I have seen in months! Maybe even more than that. This was so perfect it couldn't have been scripted any better.

As soon as I saw that Blackhawk coming in, I literally started speaking out loud "Jeeeesuuusss Fuck, this is not going to end well." Before I even finished that sentence, the entire mission went to shit. And after that, it was just more and more shitty each second.
Goddamn.

Awesome. I get to live my PTSD all over again :) (I was the lone infantry survivor in the compound.) Made my peace the moment I called Broken Arrow. Everything after that was bonus. Insanely fun bonus.
I thought Broken Arrow involved a nuke of some sorts :P

In gaming terms it means I/we been overrun drop everything you got on our location. The official military use has evolved into various meanings.
And now we know. And as the saying goes, knowing is half the battle, or something on the lines!
It's hard to pull a proper broken arrow when we only had 3 remaining rockets.

Holy Cow!! That just turned from hero's to zero in a heartbeat. That lone survivor at the end there was holding his own pretty darn well for a bit. Was rooting for him and he almost made it out alive until they "rescued" him. LOL. Awesome video.

This has to be one of the best short(ish) vids that you've come out with. Even if you tried to script this it would fall short, this is raw, funny, and surprising in all the right places, and it's the fact that it's just unfolding without a script that makes it so damn good. It's interesting, watching Dslyecxi's command missions as opposed to the other shacktack squad / platoon leaders, how everybody has a different command style. Dslyecxi, in particular, maneuvers his fireteams like chess pieces, and it's really fun to contrast with, say, Kevb0.
If I had to sit down and think about it, I'm not sure I could decide whether I like Dslyecxi's or Kevb0's command styles better. Simple fact is, they both make for fantastic videos.
That went from pretty decent to FUBAR to Blackhawk down sniper scene pretty fast...wonderful!

I felt bad for the guy to call in and survive a broken arrow attack just to be killed at the last minute as he gets on the little bird that carried him out, kinda wished his copilot would've watched the rear and that he and the pilot and the guy all flew out safely. man I love arma moments like this
All of that gunfire and chaos going on and it's a fucking butterfly that makes you hit the deck... Love it! :D
MAN, these was the best 32 minutes I expended in weeks. What a battle!! These errors can actually happen in real life... the heat of the moment! A lot of good lessons can be extracted from this video. Well, I think a medal for those guys in the last littlebird and the last guy (who are they?) it's a must!! And a lot of landings in confined spaces for the blackhawks, because God knows it's not an easy thing to do. Thanks, D. That's quality entertainment!
Actually felt a pang of sadness at the "Broken Arrow, Broken Arrow" point. Had a hint of hope as the chopper came in to get him until I saw all the enemy free roaming all around though. Great vid.

Poor Harrier, he was all alone out there.
I wasn't alone. I had Reaper to keep me company. And a whole lotta new friends, who, admittedly, weren't very pleased with the damage I'd done to their houses. I don't think I'll get back the damage deposit on those.

Just someone making a mistake in a situation where mistakes cost a lot of lives. They're not a bad pilot, but they made bad decisions to lead to that outcome.

After this, I wouldn't be too surprised if the next big Co-Op Mission they did used boats or APC's instead. Or y'know, Dodge-em Cars with the way the pilots seem to be flying. (Not that I could do any better. I crash enough without being shot at, or trying to land in a tight space.)
Jokes asides this was an amazing video, the move to rescue the downed pilots was incredible and the pull back seemed text-book. Then with all the rpgs flying over the place I wasn't surprised that the building took a hit. The image of the one person still stood atop immediately returning fire was unexpected though. When I saw the Pilot coming in even I could tell it was gonna crash. As Dslyexci said, it was a bad call. But they happen to the best of us. Everything that happened afterwards was pure gold. I'm surprised the remaining three didn't make a run for one of the nearby technicals, for all that they had to lose they could have driven out of the AO and got a LZ at a safer spot.
I'd love to have been back at the drop-off point with Alpha and Bravo when the news came in. Especially with then the Broken-Arrow and then Reaper being hit twice. "...we're still doing all right! *BANG* I take that back."
