Q: What server am I playing Arma games on, who are these people, and can you join?
A: It's the private server for my community, Shack Tactical. As of 2015 we've been around for over nine years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything - we have a fantastic memberbase and it makes for amazing gameplay in Arma and elsewhere. You can read more about us here: www.shacktac.com

Q: Does ShackTac play mostly coop or mostly PvP/adversarial in Arma?
A: We do a mix of about 70% adversarial and 30% coop - both offer unique experiences and are a blast to play.
Q: How long have you been playing the Arma series?
A: I've been here from the start, with my Operation Flashpoint experience beginning with the demo's release in 2001. I went into the US Marine Corps shortly after (no relation!) and in 2004 I started playing OFP in multiplayer. 2006 saw me found ShackTac, which started in OFP and then transitioned through Arma 1, Arma 2, and finally, Arma 3. I hope to continue this for a long time into the future, as well as share the ride with viewers like you, as corny as that sounds!

Arma indeed. Not having the ability to move or cancel a reload to reposition yourself is just one the most frustrating things in the game thats a leftover redundancy. When i want to stare death in the face i dont want to do it with my hands tied behind my back. Some other places feature restricting player controls or performing actions that you wouldnt necessarily want to perform. Like the automatic weapon switching in some situations.

They seem about perfect: You can see a littlebit but not very much and the AI is shooting at you, but doesnt give you one-shots. Or do you use any AI script that makes them behave like they do?

Yo Dslyecxi, what medical system do you guys use? My milsim group have been using ace, but it can be buggy as hell, and the interaction is somewhat clunky. Just looking for some sweet suggestions...

I think they use the default. The medic gets a medkit which has unlimited uses, and they just use that to heal people.

+pkisbest - I'm playing a game for my own entertainment, not trying to film a documentary or force things for the purpose of video. There is no "oh I'll do ___ because wouldn't that look good in a video?". I went to link up with the 'back group' (where the SL was) because they'd been struggling for awhile to make it to the main group, and I wanted to help them out. I knew where the main group was, I knew where the other group was, and I could help to ensure that they were able to link up and we could get out of there.

39:45 confuses me greatly. If anyone one could help me understand it would be helpful. At that moment you can see allies flashlights. and then a moment latter you can see enemys on both sides lighting dylexci up.
What happens to the allies that the enemies were right next to them?
I am just wondering what is the fail rate of these larger missions such as your assault missions in chernarus?

Dan Dead Or Alive I think you'd have to ask around in forums to see if anyone's still got it on their hard-drive or even get in touch with Iceman to see if he still has it - the only problem is that most people update their mods when the get re-released

So, not being negative, but whenever i play Arma, the enemy snipes me in one shot from 400m out through foliage i cant see through but when i watch all your videos you seems to be able to survive sustained fire from close range. Are the AI you are playing against different?

+Robert Boklahánics - You'll need to phrase that a bit more specifically considering that it's an hour-long video of a roughly 1h30m scenario.
+Dslyecxi Yeah, I wasn't really specific, sorry for that. What I mean is that throughout most part of the video you are basically nowhere near your fireteam (by that I mean they are not on your HUD). Where I play, a 4 man fireteam will always stays no more than 25 meters from eachother.

CAN someone just tell me these great modes he plays I am semi new to this game and I just want to play a huge military mode like this where you can get everything the game has to offer I play koth and it is alright but it is too close quarters for me I want the big milsim that arma offers which mode is it???

My Steam account was recently hijacked, and I was unable to lock it because the Link valve sent me didn't work.
I know that I am a risk of a battleye ban, but because of the circumstances that a Hijacker is in control and could possibly try to hack on a server, could the ban be over turned? Or have I wasted over 5500 hrs on that Account?

hey dslyecxi i just got arma 3 and so far ive had the worst experience ive ever had with a video game. everyone treats me like im retarded, i cant fight i cant join servers or squads, i cant read the fucking map and literally everyone tells me to just figure it out when i just cant. if you or anyone else knows were i could get some training please let me know. i dont want to quit this game but as it is right now i just cant do anything...
+kirby 5329 Play around in the editor/singleplayer for a while to find your bearings in the game. Reading Dslyecxi's TTPs and watching his VTTPs helps as well. Just take it slow and you'll figure out the skill gap in time
