- Suisei puts her English skills to the test by reading ridiculous Duolingo stories. Along the way, she learns about creative culinary concoctions, modern dating paradigms, lazy siblings, and how to greet one's significant other.

6:43 Just to lets you know, that was not practice (練習), but it was annual salary (年収).
Suisei talked about that dating app recently requires users to input their salary to make sure that they are not fake.
Thanks for the translation.
Oh, that makes sense! Sorry about that. Thanks for catching that!
@@smolhane It's ok, I know translation is hard and we always missed something while doing all that.
Thanks for understanding! I at least updated the thumbnail, for now.
Not duolingo trying to convince Suisei that everyone in America gets married in 5 minutes without telling their mothers
11:55 The _”Hi Honey”_ heard ‘round the world!
11:56 perfection
Hi honey
Patient zero of the Hi Honey virus
Look at the chat exploding
No, Suisei. In America, our parents usually do know that we’re getting married before the wedding.
Sui is really impressive in everything she does. Explains how she has made it this far, along with all her skills/talents. Only thing I don't understand is how she fits it all into her life.
Her mom is a native level English speaker and is always critical of Suisei when she speaks kuso eigo.
Sui-chan's English is just heavenly
who taught her to speak like a valley girl though?
lmfao @ 9:54 in chat "steve destroyed with facts and logic"
Her pronunciation is pretty nice. And her compression is impressive.
comprehension
"Compression" lmao

Seeing even the english version of duolingo using weird sentances/phrasing/tones at times is a reminder not to use it on it's own.
The voice acting is bussin though
LMAO
11:54 *raises arms* WOOOOOOO!! YEAH BABY!!
I totally expected Bruce to reveal that he was gay all along.
I have to admit that was one of the possibilities running through my mind...
4:21 caught me off guard
Really, the conversation is so random lol
11:54 hi honey
12:07 chat goes wild
What a treat, thank you for translating!! I love that some of your videos are longer too, it's made my day finding your channel!
I'm happy to hear that!
The stories really are the best part of Duolingo (some would argue the only good part). Nice to see all of these translated in one place!
I get the feeling chat doesn't know what NTR is.
I really like your subtle yet entertaining editing style, not to mention your great efforts to translate this.
I have no idea what the Duolingo devs were thinking with that last story, but hey, at least it spawned a beautiful meme.
That’s it the sentence that changed the world my ears are blessed
Thanks for translating ❤️
Thank you for watching, as always!
She said my name.
Poggers
Lucky you!
Mine too! 🤭
Bruce didn't even invite his own mother to his wedding
You did such a good job with this! Thank you!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video!
Great translation. This was one of my favorite streams
Suisei's pronunciation is getting better and better.
6:51 I don't know if that edit was you or Duolingo, but either way, well done 👌👌
Haha, it was my edit. I don't think Duolingo is quite that advanced yet.
hearing Sonia is just... nevermind
I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE
OH FUCK
Suisei’s pronunciation is pretty good!
She's quite good, if not exactly perfect, with her pronunciation of the letter "L" I imagine using both "L" and "R" in separate words in a sentence would be difficult for someone learning.
For those struggling to get those "L"s, press the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth behind and somewhat against your front teeth and flatten it a little with pressure. As you speak the letter, remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth. You're using the tongue to provide a hard sound to the tone. Start by saying "AH" and holding it as a tone, like you're singing, then use your tongue as described above, pressing it against the roof of the mouth behind the teeth. LaLaLaLaLa. The "R" sound uses a completely different mouth and tongue positions, which is why it can be very hard to grasp for non-English speakers. And Liverputians.

Aaah suisei is such a goddess!
Thx for the work, keep it up!
Thank you for watching!
Now we need more Suisei learning English clips❤
Hm... Suisei proves that she is one of the better English speakers. Awesome Suisei.
11:55
lol if I were to use a dating app, I'd practice as well and learn how to have a proper date (what to say, where to go)
Patient zero!
11:56 And a Meme was born.
She’s so cute
She tries to say every word correctly in English... except coffee.
For those impatient ones, a summary:
Suisei still cannot pronounce th- but: Hi honey!
My heart goes doki doki when watching suisei ~🌸
It's odd seeing the other side of duolingo.
Hi honey
Me over here just getting triggered at her pronouncing "coffee" as "cohi"
