- While the original Donkey Kong Country wasn't perfect, it was definitely a great game, and I enjoyed playing it. Since then, I've been itching to play the sequel, and I've finally gotten around to it. In this review, I figure out how good Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong-Quest really is. I hope you enjoy! :]

I honestly can’t wait till you play and review dk64. It’ll go down as you best review to date 😅
It’s probably the game that gets requested/brought up the most, so I’m looking forward to getting around to it!
@@Torran2Glitchy I don’t even want to spoil it for you. I want you to find out on your own.. but I can’t wait for it !
There is a GBA remake of this game that solves most of the issues you had:
1) The beginning does have an opening cutscene
2) Saving is made simple and free, just press Start and click on Save Game
3) There's a game checklist, that makes it easy for completionists to read
4) There are extra collectables and mini games like feathers for those ostrich races from Kranky Kong, Photography from Wrinkly Kong, Funky Kong's Kongstruction missions, and Klubba's bug collecting mini game. There's even a time trial mode too
5) World 5 (ya know...the tower world) has a boss fight named Kerozene
6) The text is much easier to read and the game let's you press A when you're done reading
There are some negatives about the GBA Remake:
1) The sound track is compressed, so it's not gonna sound as good as the SNES version, but hey it's GBA, what do you expect? The technology wasn't there yet
2) Screen crunch. This wasn't an issue for me but expect levels to be a bit zoomed in
3) The graphics. Again, it's GBA, so it's not gonna have the same color palete as SNES
Other than that, the GBA remake of this game is my first Donkey Kong game. When I rebought this game on Wii Virtual Console back in 2012, I was disappointed that it was the SNES version, because it lacks the content that I know and love from the GBA remake.
I agree with everything you said. The same can be said with the GBA remake of DKC 1 and 3, but more so with DKC 3. More content (and whole new world and boss fight) and a whole new soundtrack by David Wise. It's probably one of Wise's weakest, but hey. Many of the songs are bangers. I think the GBA soundtrack of DKC 3 is a tad better than the original overall.
Correction though: The tower world with Kerozene is World 6, not World 5.
There’s also a charge move you can do with rambi and endguarde by holding in A
most mario games at that time i will quit mid game or near end game, but dk 1 and dk 2 i dont want it to end.
I think in the first level theres a letter that says K. Rool kidnapped Donkey.
Most people have said that DKC2 has one of the best soundtracks in all the Super Nintendo games.
Oh my god I just looked at my footage of the first level and there’s an open door I just walked past. I’m guessing it’s in there? That’s embarrassing lol
@@Torran2Glitchy yeah, it's kinda like the banana stash in dkc1
Did you know that you can skip the race in the final level by flying above that black bird?
WHAT??? Does that just skip that whole section? That would’ve been handy to know…
No, but it does let you not need to race the bird
@SoosRamirez-fp7fp Ah I see. Must’ve been some kind of oversight? Would’ve been pretty helpful to know
Does this dude realize there is a run button?
This dude did eventually remember the run button
