Going solely off of the remakes, Crash 3 is significantly worse than Crash 2. Crash 2 is an 8/10 for me and Crash 3 is about a 5/10.

This video gives me the vibe like you've never played Super Mario Galaxy Before. (My personal favorite besides odyssey). I agree with the die kick tho. Why couldn't just set you back in like in galaxy, perhaps even implement checkpoints. But because I've never died in M64 I've never experienced this in particular. Also the geometry in M64 could have been better, the N64 hardware had the capabilities for it. Sad that Nintendo didn't understand the console as much as we do now. Mario Galaxy is good in every way you disassembled M64

Imo its kind of better and worse. On a "technical" level i feel its much worse due to not being as well optimized or less polished in some areas the OG excelled insanely well, mainly hitboxes, physics or bugs (the OG was arguably the most well optimized game on the PS1), but the content really compensates for those shortcomings, so even if i much prefer the OG i would probably recommend the remake at least for new players, contrary to NST which i would definitely recommend the OGs first, lol.

I know it's subjective, but this review doesn't match my feelings about the game at all. Winning three times for a trophy feels completely natural and great if the game is fun which majority of them are in my opinion. I love the idea of four variation across the seven types of games (they are definitely different enough to be fun, you calling them only slightly different is very unfair) and I also love the idea of gem and crystal challenges and relic challenges are not just about winning more times in a row they are also against harder AI. The only thing I agree about in the whole review are some of the crystals which are simply unfair and not fun like the Sky Ball crystal, that one is extremely stupid, because most of the tries there comes at least one red ball where you can't do anything to dodge as it comes from the side and crosses almost all of your space. That is simply pure bad design and never should have passed the testing phase. If the red balls were not changed so often by the players and instead they came only sometimes into the arena the same way they do in Nitros Oxide final boss that would be much better design. Anyway I still love Crash Bash as a whole :)

As much as I kind the og CTR I must admit CTRNF is better just for the sheer amount of content alone.

Actually there are more minigames, you just apparently didn't go to the park drones with the red ballon on it to unlock them. I believe there are at least one per world (say one minigame in Mystery Island, etc).

As a sonic veteran who has played the hell out of these games since they were invented in the 90s, I can confirm with no doubt Sonic Mania overdoes the difficulty at times, then some bosses are a joke.

Nothing ever disappoints me as much as my nostalgia I've already bought every game console from my youth in the last 20 years and it's literally never like I remember that greatness I was seeking

Use a Wii classic controller with the 8Bitdo bluetooth adapter... it syncs perfectly and will allow you to play GC with the diamond configuration.

I only played Croc 2, but it was one of my favourite games 🥰 It was so exciting and difficult! I really like the cossack village, but Roger was so difficult 😅 Not sure if I even made it to the Caveman village 🙈 But I was around 10 yeas old and not allowed to play a lot and didn't have a memory card so I had to restart the game a lot of times 😅

I just beat this shitty game recently. It felt like a miserable fever dream.

How do you hate the gamecube controller? Genuinely the most comfortable controller I've ever used. The way L and R slide and then click at the end feels great too. The way ABXY all have distinct size and shape means its the only controller where I don't have to think about where ABXY are, vs other controllers all have different layouts for where ABXY is but since the buttons on them are all the same size and shape, I have to think where each one is. (also no nostalgia bias, I grew up with the wii and never got a gamecube until I started game collecting) Also, the only controller you have doesn't even work right? I think you should at least use a working one until you form an opinion on it.

After playing both 64 and Odyssey, I like 64 more. The main reason is 64 just has a higher percentage of good levels. Most of the levels are great, minus the boring and slow water levels. With odyssey, the few levels that are good are the two forest levels, the luncheon kingdom, the desert (but that was way too big and emplty), the 2nd beach level, but then theres all the small awful filler levels between them. its like Odyssey has maybe 5 good levels and like 15 crappy levels. but Mario 64 has like all good levels except maybe 2 or 3. Odyssey's lack of a hub world makes it a worse experience too. Peaches castle being the hub in super mario 64 made it so exciting to figure out what was behind each door and find even more stuff to explore.

I have no nostalgia bias for Banjo Tooie, but I still love the game, but I can totally understand a lot of your complaints. I honestly didn't like it the first time I played it, but then tried it again a few years later, and got further the 2nd time and ended up liking it more. I think it does worldbuilding much better than the first game, and some of the levels are pretty amazing once you get used to the fact that they are just bigger and take longer to get each jiggy. It's like a good game with bad pacing, as crazy as that is.

Even though I disagree with you about Banjo-Tooie, I'll respect your opinion. I like both Kazooie and Tooie, but I like Tooie just slightly better. The larger and more complex worlds are the reason why I like Tooie better. Banjo-Kazooie was an amazing game, but Banjo-Tooie took everything great about the first game and made it better, at least in my opinion.

a thing i kinda love about the final bossfight(and this is only warranted if your really struggling) is you can run to the far left OR far right. and shoot the powercircuit to open the doors to each left iirc was the soda VENDING machine and to the right was the AMMO VENDING MACHINE. both iirc had ammo and healing items to. ill say this i loved the 1st half of this game aka the fry running and gunning. and some of the bender stages. leelas stages were rather annoying since unlike fry youhad to hop around to escape the kamikazi skellitons

We borrowed this game from blockbuster back in the day. I got stuck on the bender mission with iron girder platforming section.

I just remembered this game out of nowhere. Watched some gameplay footage before this and yeah i didn't really look that great to play or control.

Bro, what was that rant about the gamecube controller? Literally the best controller and you shat all over it. Must not have held Playstation1/2/3 controllers recently, a genuinely dredful set of controllers now days. You talking about how the gamecube controllers are "flimsy" reminds me of just how cheap and flimsy the ps3 controller was. Was surprised by how much I enjoy using 360 controllers for everything now days.

Crash of the titans was the first crash game i have ever played and let me tell you the state of confusion i was in when i found out that crash was originally a platform game- to be fair, i was also a very confused kid, it didn't help that English wasn't my first language. But i gotta say, as a normal game, not attached to crash' franchise, it's a pretty good game. (warning, i'm completely biased) I think Titan's story has a bit more of a serious tone, while Mind over mutant feels a bit more on the campy (?) side. You mentioned how Titans have big gaps/spaces in it's levels but i think it really helps us appreciate the level's design/background and immerse us in the world, because it makes it feel like crash is just a small creature in this big world. The compacted platforms in Mind over mutants is definitely something i noticed on first playthrough. It was a bit overwhelming though when i just started to explore it and see the amount of moving platforms and glowing mojo balls staring me down in the distance, waiting for me to get to them, but i do understand that they're trying to make it some sort of an open world, so that probably explains the back and forth thing. Also something i found that's incredibly different is that Mind over mutant's design is so modern (?) and in titans it was all like ancient ruins (which i love because it felt like there's a story behind it) maybe they were trying to show that time has passed, idk. I completely agree how much better the mutants' gameplay is in Mind over mutants though, and how ridiculous it was not being able to jump with them in Titans, but honestly, it was never really a problem for me, like, the mutants were there just to fight, it's rarely there for platforming. it's probably a good time for me to mention that i only started playing Mind over mutant recently and i only played it for like 10 minutes LMAO, so I'm DEFINITELY biased, idk if its worth finishing. I also haven't watch your "is Crash of the Titans GOOD?" video, so ignore all of this if you talked about it there lol.

Tooie went in a more Zelda type route. The developers have even said this in the past. Whereas they followed in Mario 64s foot steps for the first one, they followed in Ocarina of Times foot steps with Tooie. Whether they failed or succeeded is a different story. When I was a kid I absolutely loved Tooie, so it did its job in that regard. As an adult I can see how many flaws it has.

I was a huge Mario fan and a teen when this came out and the first time I played it I was woefully disappointed. I hated the control, it was so slippery and annoying, I thought the texturing of the levels were awful and disjointed. It didn’t look like the mushroom kingdom I saw from previous Mario games. And I’m glad I’m not the only one who hates the hub worlds. I skipped on the 64 for awhile because of this game. It felt like an unpolished tech demo to me verses a game, and somehow I was the only one with that opinion back then. Everyone else thought it was the best ever. We had tomb raider two years prior which looked great.

I think BT is fine but BK is better
