There are so many iconic characters in the Mario universe...but I guess we'll see how fast we can touch a Toad in every mainline Mario game.

I personally have the Redmagic 9 Pro. Not quite the 9S, but to be honest, the 9S isn't that different than the 9.

Wait, hold on, if you count touching the frog in Super Mario Land 2 as touching a "Toad", shouldn't you be able to count SMB2 as successful because you can touch Wart at the end of the game, because he's a frog/toad?

For Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you could’ve had Player 1 as Yoshi, because other players can ride the Yoshi players, which requires touch.
That makes sense
He would've, but Toad still resents Yoshi for stealing his Thunder.
Doing so would make Toad really uncomfortable and I don't think Toad would appreciate being touched by the Dino he dislikes the most

And the Kart races also had Bowser competing. It was anything but friendly, heck even Luigi would give a death stare in those heated moments! Lmao
In the tennis games yoshi and toad are a duo team and toad wouldn’t be teammates with someone he hates and besides they can ride yoshi in new super Mario bros Wii and deluxe so toad was able to either make up with yoshi or sacrifice some for mid jumps to pent off some anger

I literally came here to comment that I can't be the only one who thought the title/premise sounds kinda suggestive...
The toads in the original Mario Bros have been turned into bricks so technically if you break a brick, you’ve touched a toad.

No, the official guidebook specifies they are ? Blocks, NOT Bricks. They give the player “power up’s (which includes coins for some reason) as a gift
to help him save Peach as she’d be able to free them.

There's a way faster Toad in 3D land. if you wait around on the title screen for a bit, you can play in a secret room where some toads are.

While Toad may have been absent during SMW; that was probably because he stayed to protect the kingdom while Mario, Luigi and Peach went to Dinosaur Land. And indeed, Toad and Birdo were the only ones around to defend the Peaceful Woods from Wario in Wario's Woods.

This is why I was only in Japan. In Japan it's Super Mario Bros 2, but Nintendo knew it was too hard for us Americans, so they reused the game and made a new Super Mario Bros 2. The box cover says "Mario Madness" for some reason.

A faster way to touch a Toad in Mario Wonder is to enter 1-1 with Mario and a Toad, then kill toad, then when you revive the toad you will have touched a dead toad which counts because you never said that the toad has to be alive
An even faster way is to pick Yoshi and have toad mount Yoshi.

In super mario wonder you can ride yoshi as toad so 1st player should have been yoshi

I would really like to know what are the toad times for the mario & luigi and paper mario games
Technically, you can touch the playable Toad in Super Mario 3D World in single player. Using the GamePad or the Switch's touch screen, you have a cursor that allows you to directly interact with things without having to use the playable character, and that includes touching said playable character; including Toad of course. Even easier touching!

I'm pretty sure the only blocks that are Toads are the ones that contain items, meaning you can't destroy them...

You can actually touch Toad faster in New Super Mario Bros Wii.
If the 2nd player changes their character from Toad to someone else, then Toad will run off screen to the left and touch Mario on his way out.

In Super Mario Brothers, you can touch the axe and Bowser same time, which makes Bowser fall into lava, and player dies same time, but is thrown all the way to Toad, touching it and falling through the floor, then you start the next level.
"No self-touching" is certainly not something I ever expected to read or hear in a challenge video lol.

you can actually sometimes get mario to walk all the way over and touch toad in the first 2 games. Smb1 optimally takes just over 2 minutes, 2j takes about 2:10
