might be biased as a Michigander, but this felt like a special hike to me and made me fully appreciate living here. important to go at the right time of the year for this hike :)

I enjoyed the more natural sounds while hiking in this. Being able to hear the waves crashing, the trees blowing, and rain falling kinda enhances the experience.

One thing I’d like to mention about Pictured Rocks is that each campsite is reserved ahead of time & Campers are supposed stay in the specific numbered site as noted on their permit. You aren’t supposed to pick and choose once you are there. Some people pick out specific sites when they make their reservation so please be respectful of that!
But other than that the video is great! You guys do such a great job and I’ve shown this to multiple people who were interested in doing this trip. Thanks for making it!

@@daydayr97 Apparently you lack the mental capacity to understand how parks work then. Try it without one in a park where it required and go cry like a Karen when you get kicked out then Einstein. Plenty of places in the wilderness where you don’t need one. Here you do. Deal with it.

What I like about you guys is that you seem to focus more on the experience than on the equipment. Lot of hikers and hiking videos focus a lot on the wight, type of equipment and such things. But you, no, you bloody enjoy every single second. Good job, and so fun when you mention Zelda :)

Of all the hikes I've watched of you guys, this is my favorite because of the extreme beauty of the area, of being close to the water, hearing it lap up or splash on the shore, of the ruggedness of parts of the shoreline, the rich colorful sunsets. Being on the shore of an ocean is no more beautiful than this. You are such talented composers of music to fit the moods that were being displayed. It's my favorite kind of music as well. I loved the pizza clip at the end as well as your silly shenanigans. You always make me laugh. I missed the other guys but you two pulled it off just as well. I'd love to have a CD of just your music, longer than the short versions in your videos, of course. I've seen a few other long hikes but your are my favorites because 1) the videos are so much more professional and beautiful; and 2) your terrific camaraderie.

You guys have to check out Lake Superior's East side! Agawa Rock, Agawa Bay, The Objibway Pictographs. The beauty is endless and the area has a very rich history!

Phenomenal! I live in the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan and have always wanted to hike that portion of the North Country Trail. Amazing photography. Thanks for sharing your trek.

I just got back from pictured rocks. Me and the wife got a cabin in Au Train for 4 days. We didn't go hiking but got to go see some shipwrecks on a glass bottom boat that was really cool! Its absolutely beautiful there. But I will definitely be back up to the U.P. for a hike next year.
Thank you so much for making this video guys. This is going to be my next favorite channel!

Those huge woodpecker holes with all the big chips at the base can be from a Pileated Woodpecker. They are about the size of a large crow. You filmed one with the big red crest. We see them often in the Easter woods. They have a call that sounds like a stereotype movie jungle bird.

I haven't done this hike because the campgrounds are always fully booked but after seeing this I'm just going to hit the trail if the sites are empty even when fully booked.

Awesome Video chivers! So glad you got to see the other half of Pictured Rocks you didn't get to last time. Definitely a trip we are planning on for next year on a long weekend for our first time up there. We can't wait to eat at the Bear Trap Inn when we finally get up there!
