2 mins is hard for me, barely manageable at times
but if you can do each workout for 1 min then be proud, Keep working :)
That’s amazing bro keep it up
Now if you wanna be really prepared for the Navy, be able to do this, and a 1.5 mile jog, twice.
Then your definitely prepared.
I say twice because in BC you'll be doing it with little sleep, and mental stress out the window.
2min plank right after 2min of pushups bruh😭
Most of that was our ITE when I went 😅
This is genuinely one of the best videos for being physically prepared for BC.
If you can do this, and memorize Ranks/Creed/General Orders, you'll be set.
But the mental games, no exercise can prepare you for those. Except a verbally abusive childhood.
Aye my dad prepared me already for the last part of that checklist
Bro is fitted the fuck up in the beginning, im 100% navy now
Hooyah!!
Guys and girls in DEP rn. Bootcamp is not hard, it really isnt. Its not physically hard by any means. Just show up in decent shape and you'll be fine
Yeah it’s really like going to a summer camp..lol. I gained weight in bootcamp because we rarely ever worked out.
Yea I have Deps 2x a week until I ship out
Getting problems with push ups lol
Im shipping in August gonna work on my 🏃♂️ run ..and push up and overall fitness

I just started the enlisting process, but I wanted to start getting ready! Thank you for the video!
Your welcome. Good luck!
How'd it go
While we are down here. We might as well do some push-ups 💪
Lo..I remember our RDC saying that! Brings backs memories.
Thanks for taking the time to show us this! I really feel like you are great at helping recruits prepare for joining the military!
Thank you so much it’s my pleasure!
Deff bout to get that fly ass gear
Yesssir!
I’m starting the process into enlisting for the NAVY. I’ve been drinking water and rarely any soda and been doing basic push-ups and running. But I’m definitely gonna start doing all of these every training session. Thank you I appreciate this video. ⚓️
Have you gone to MEPs yet ?
@@leilaniyo2088 I have yes. I got an “HIE” written on my name tag and so did a couple of others. It means they found something on your medical history. Not necessarily to DQ you but they just are requesting the paperwork on it. I turned mine in and I’m waiting for meps to say I’m all good to try again. I went to meps last week.
@@iBernie im planning on processing as well. Do you think i could DM you on social media ?
@@iBernie do u have IG?
Great video! I need to get back in shape for my overall health. How many sets do you do for each workout?
10 Count Core Builders. Do it, Do it now.
Do it, do it now..lol ahhh brings back memories!
They banned 10 counts its only 8 counts now
I ship out on August 17th and want to say thank you for all of the informational videos, you’re lookin out for the people 🙌👏
Your welcome and congratulations!
hows it going
Im going in 9 days, definitely appreciate the quick video with important tips
My son just completed his first week of Army Boot @ Ft Sill. I was on him to do stuff before he left. He says how it helped him.
Yes he definitely should have been working out before he left for army bootcamp its a lot harder than navy bootcamp.
Thanks for sharing I wanted to get some new workouts also was looking at going into the navy so figured this would be a good start
Your very welcome. Good luck!
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 thanks man and thank you for serving
@@goose8106 your very welcome.
Thank you very much for the help! Shipping out to basic in 7 days.
Good luck and your welcome.
How did it go did they do almost every exercise?
I just came across this video and I wanted to say THANK YOU! I’m in the process of losing weight to join the Navy and you demonstrating these exercises will sure help with that as well as preparing for Boot Camp! Been in a bit of a rut lately with working out consistently and finding exercises that will prepare me for this. I appreciate you!
I ship out in June and plan on training until I leave, thanks for the video! It helps knowing what to expect
Your welcome good luck!!
When do you ship? I ship out June 10th

@@fuhfuhwostyy2069 i ship June 15th
can you do a full workout video with these exercises? it would be easier to follow and helpful for people who train at home
That’s a good idea! I’ll see what I can do. I would definitely have to get in shape myself first..lol.
Thank you for this exceptional video. Cheers
I leave July 1st for the Navy thanks man I appreciate it.
So do I, good luck. I’ll be spending my birthday there haha. Have a good time man, remember it’s all for your country and your family.
@@juliii7s hell yeah same here mine is on August 1st

This really helped me thank youu the journey begins
Your very welcome!
Hello sir i'm from infonesia, Thank you for the information about basic training us naval, I hope you and your family stay healthy and in God's protection.
Thank you so much!
Going to boot 🥾 camp in a few months soo this is mad helpful ✊🏾thanks
Thank you so much I’m glad it was helpful!
Nice video, I appreciate it! I’m hoping to enlist sometime this year in September. 🤞🏾
Thank you so much and good luck!
Study now
Great video sir! I enlisted in the navy today so I have to start exercise.
Congratulations!! Just exercise at least 3 times a week and you will be fine.
Shipping in two weeks. Been training for the army, however navy offered me a better contract. I have been working out on my own but have had very little progress. I appreciate you making this video. Going to follow these exercises religiously working 4-5 days the few weeks I have on it. Hope to get my running up too because it’s embarrassing. Had to take time off last month for achilles heel tendinitis. Is the standard of running lowered for “old head” like me? I’ll be 26 in boot camp.
Good video seems to be basically what they have you do in DEP
Yep it’s pretty much they same thing so you will do fine!
Watching this video coz I want to join the navy studying the asvab for a couple days now getting ready for it ..., I'm not old just a little Rustie, but I'm gonna get it thanks for the tips brother
Your very welcome. Good luck!
This helped a lot, thank you!
Your welcome.
Leaving for bootcamp next month. Is this what we’ll be doing?
Leaving for bootcamp in November... needed this... much appreciated
@Moss-vi8yu yes it did
Thank you for the vedio.its really help

Man C2 all these work outs is ptsd to me now lol. I would hear my RDCs say in my sleep "you got 30 seconds to hydrate!!!!" -Div 063 17Dec20
Hell yes it traumatized me..lol
This was mad helpful thank you😊

My son ships out June 6
You might not be seeing this comment but I’m going to join the navy after high school ends for me, and I’ve been wanting to start getting ready very soon. Do you have any recommended amounts of each of the listed workouts in the video I should do in a workout session? I figure it’s better to arrive at boot camp prepared for what’s coming.
So I didn’t watch the video all the way through when I wrote the comment. Turns out you mentioned it at the end of the video. So it’s my bad
It’s ok bro. Good luck! You are on the right path it’s better to be prepared before you get to basic. It will make things a whole lot better.
You won't do a single pull up in navy boot camp unless it's after Tapss in the drying room lol
Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video!
Your welcome jennifer
Thank you for the video I ship 7/6
Your welcome! Good luck
Thinking about joining thanks for the video
You should and your welcome.
Very informative. Thank you for your service✊🏼😊
Your very welcome and thank you for watching!
Leave in about a week. The mile in a half is the only thing I’m really worried about
Just keep running. You will have time to improve your time in basic.
Thank you for the video ❤
Everything but push ups and 10 counts im confident in.
Just keep practicing you’ll get better at it.
Seems like if you can do a simple hollow body hold and push-ups you’re fine since that works abs and arms - and the navy doesn’t even check pullups
Wish I had this information when I went in '07. Lol.
🤣🤣are you still in?
I just graduated frm bootcamp and AirChairs got me weakkkk😭😭😭😂shit ain’t nun yo play w yo !
Hell naw they ain’t no joke.
How wa bootcamp tho?
truth be told fool , shit was easy asf its more of a mental thing than anything … it’s all worth it , at the end of the day .. bc the military is not just a job it’s a career shit sucks at times but … toe each’s own .
@@p7litt145 that’s so true. Navy bootcamp felt like a summer camp to me..lol. Not physical at all just mental. Good luck with your career!
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 same to u , keep yo head up👼🏽
Hey man I hate to say it but the only thing that’s a pain is the in and out because of my tailbone is there anyway I can try and make it less harder on myself? That’s legit the only thing rn that’s scaring me are in and outs lmao
When my dad has those same type of shoes, you know their old shoes.
Your dad has style then!!
Thank you Dave!
Your welcome!
Very informative thank you bro
Your welcome!
Ughhh geeezzz PLEASEE SOMEONE HELP ME....my son is 23 lives in Southern Ca. and is preparing to join the Navy. I've sent him multiple videos of "HOW TO PREPARE" for bootcamp, but all he says is "Mom, "I KNOW WHAT I NEED TO KNOW, that's what BOOTCAMP is for, Lol" he thinks he knows EVERYTHING, how do I convince him it's in his best interest to PREPARE AHEAD OF TIME FOR BOOTCAMP???😲😵😩
You are right he should prepare for bootcamp it will only make it that much easier. But trust me if your son is in the slightest bit of shape he will do fine. Navy bootcamp is not hard at all physically. As long as he can do push ups and run he will be fine.
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 Thank you for reaching out!😊
Yeah so he called me last Sun, said the week prior the recruiter took him to DT San Diego for his Asvab
He did good til it came to the Math section.....said "Ughh, I hadn't had any sleep because I worked the night before Graveyard shift and I was EXHAUSTED mom, I was sooo confused over it and by the time it was done I realized I had been re-entering sections multiple times, it was a MESS!" So he has 30days to get it right, he's gonna go online to the practice test and said he was YouTubing some Navy guy on the Math testing portion. I forgot to ask him who it was, I'll find out tho
Soooo pleaseee put in a prayer for him?! 🙏
💪,✌ & much love 💕to ya!
Stay safe too!
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 and btw yes he's in in decent shape, he's about 6' 3 not sure how much he weighs he's slender and a krump dancer...I'm just concerned about the Run part of boot camp. It's not ever been his thing to "workout or go on runs", lol! But he says he's not concerned, so we'll see!😁
I’m going to be real honest. I can only do T-push-ups and I want to enlist in the navy. Will I get kicked out for doing T-push-ups and not the ones everybody’s able to do?
You have to do push ups the right way or they won’t count and you will fell your PRT test.
But how many you do of each Exercise? I’m trying to join in March
I usually do sets of 10. So 10 four counts.
Is the work outs the same for this year ? 2024 is it the same
i leave for boot camp in august, im scared that i don’t have enough time to get into enough shape
GOOD VIDEO!!
Great vid thanks!
Thank you so much!!
I feel I got the workouts down but how's the firefighter training? What would you say is the hardest part about boot camp?
The firefighting training is easy that’s only a small portion of bootcamp I would worry about that. The hardest part about bootcamp to me was the everyday work outs you do and that even wasn’t bad.
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 okay thanks for the reply
@@thisistheway3456 your welcome.
Leaving September 8th I'm in decent shape wondering how many push ups are required for the test???
How old are you?
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 19
@@JoeHogan01 46 push ups in 2 minutes
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 I’m 19 and a girl …I leave for boot camp in 15 days …how many push ups should I be able to do
I’m still working on my process I couldn’t even take da test yet bc I have to loose some weight…even tho ion look nun close to how much I weight😭
You will get there. Just take it one day at a time!
Leaving in September ..
Great good luck!
What is the points system? Like how many points is passing and failing?
I've asked different recruiters, but is it a requirement to do pull ups
You might get a chance to do pull ups in bootcamp but it’s no requirement.
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 ok just checking cause I cant do pull up, but I can climb over things no issue
@@CT-PO Ayo I will say, get ur pull ups up. If you can do maybe 5 good, no half assed pull ups, its wraps for everything else. At that point, you will be more than physically fit for bootcamp(granted you still training everything else..)
I cant do push up and curl up im done with meps kind of nervous
Just start doing a push ups and sit ups every night before bed.
I leave for basic in august
Good luck!
Leaving March 10th

Lmao same rate and on the 16th hopefully we are dealing with some snow down here in Tx
2:57 so the mountain climbers got it
Yep
I leave in September I really excited for basic
Cool good luck you will do fine.
You teach them ITE😂
😂😂
Will bootcamp send me home if overweight ?
You can’t even join if your overweight
what they don’t realize is nun of these ITE have a designated stopping point 😭.. they’ll smoke ya ass all day
Facts🤣🤣
If I can do a 2 min plank but can't do a single push up and slack at running like I'm a guy and my time is 15 min what to do to improve that
What helped me with running faster is running 2x everyday besides Sunday. And do as many push-ups as you can every single day multiple times.
@@nyasia19Rosado ty
I thought the to pass minimum for planks was 1:10
What scores do you need to get to get the 2000$ bonus?
I never heard of $2000 by getting a high score. Tell me more?
@@theofficialdaveharris8794 RTC is issuing 2000$ bonus to recruits passing the initial pfa and I’m not sure if it’s paid out when you get a satisfactory or if you have to get an excellent but I’ll be finding out this month lol
@@sld2543 you have to pass it that’s all
@@sld2543 oh yesss I heard about that
@@sydneydulcio1495 yeah but you’re only eligible if it’s on your initial contract you get at meps which I just found out it’s not for me lol
How often do we take the PFT?
It’s PRT and we take it twice a year.
Anyone shipping out around June?
Good luck bro!
Is the navy hard in basic training?
