In Singapore we still have to do this till we're 40 every year from after our mandatory 2 years conscription at the age of 18. Whats worse now is that we have to do it on these so called stations where ur on a pad with sensors up front so it measures everything. Push up and sit ups. You keep getting no counts and the machine lets u know that. Last year i did like ten straight sit ups and was no count and like 12 no counts of push ups. You cant cheat the machine. As for the running, its chipped base so ur times are electronically taken. I guess its good for the younger guys who just got in... unfortunately iv got two years left to go.
I am active duty Navy. A Senior Chief told me that the semi-annual Physical Readiness Test (PRT) exists for two reasons; 2% - it exists as an easy way to pre-screen Sailors interested in special programs, such as Officer, SWCC, SEALS, etc. 98% - it exists to identify Sailors that are going to be very medically expensive in the immediate future. The Senior Chief told me that, on average, a Sailor that has three consecutive failures, or three consecutive inability-to-test waivers, will statistically cost the US Navy *SEVEN TIMES MORE* in medical cost than a Sailor who does fully participate, and who does fully pass. This should explain two things: 1 - Why there are different scoring methods based on gender and age. As the goal is simply to test general physical health and abilities as opposed to war-fighting capabilities, a generally health female and a generally healthy male will likely have different capabilities. Whereas if this was about strictly war-fighting, then there would not be adjusted scores, but instead, the same requirements. 2 - This also explains why the requirements are relatively mild. A 1.5 mile run is less than the Army, because it requires a lower level of ability to perform shipboard duties. There are also no pull-ups, because job-duties of a typical Sailor are different than a typical Marine. Final points: 1 - These three exercises, plus a height-to-weight measurement called a Body Mass Index (BMI), can all be done without equipment. This means that testing can be done almost anywhere, and excuses for inability to train based on lack of equipment are non-existent. 2 - The US Navy is switching from sit-ups/curl-ups over to timed planks in the immediate future.
@@dilaisy_loone2846 Yes and no. BMI works fine, but anyone outside of the chart's standards gets taped, and the tape *absolutely* accounts for muscle mass. What was the point of your comment?
Controversial Conversation ngl they were but to me at least it seemed probably to her that she was doing them right. Sometimes you don’t know unless someone tells you and she did say she rather do pull ups, so those just aren’t her thing.
The best I ever did at Marine Recruit Training was 70 Crunches and 48 Push-Ups It was a real improvement for me because the first week I was there, I only did around 50 Crunches and 24 Push-Ups
@Jesus Gonzalez This probably has to do with more integration of genes. Back then many cultures just stayed in their own cultural facsimile of genetic crowds. As they were closer in travel and region. Which kinda encourage incesteral recycling in the gene pool. Which lead to weaker development in health and body. But since on going integration in human societies we have seen much broader collection of different genes mixing to produce more stability in genetic make up. Leading to much healthier and attractive forms of today. And as we go forward We'll most likely continue to see the climb in the peak of human specimens.

Didn't break 90°, shoulder blades didn't come in line with base of the spin. I wouldn't have counted any of them
Gosh she has such a powerful attitude it's so inspiring
In Singapore we still have to do this till we're 40 every year from after our mandatory 2 years conscription at the age of 18. Whats worse now is that we have to do it on these so called stations where ur on a pad with sensors up front so it measures everything. Push up and sit ups. You keep getting no counts and the machine lets u know that. Last year i did like ten straight sit ups and was no count and like 12 no counts of push ups. You cant cheat the machine. As for the running, its chipped base so ur times are electronically taken. I guess its good for the younger guys who just got in... unfortunately iv got two years left to go.
That's tough. Almost everyone I see cheats on push ups. How many push ups and sit ups do you have to do at your age?
I am active duty Navy. A Senior Chief told me that the semi-annual Physical Readiness Test (PRT) exists for two reasons;
2% - it exists as an easy way to pre-screen Sailors interested in special programs, such as Officer, SWCC, SEALS, etc.
This should explain two things:
1 - Why there are different scoring methods based on gender and age.
Final points:
1 - These three exercises, plus a height-to-weight measurement called a Body Mass Index (BMI), can all be done without equipment. This means that testing can be done almost anywhere, and excuses for inability to train based on lack of equipment are non-existent.
2 - The US Navy is switching from sit-ups/curl-ups over to timed planks in the immediate future.
BMI is not an accurate way of measuring Body weight distribution because it doesn’t account for muscles
@@dilaisy_loone2846 Yes and no. BMI works fine, but anyone outside of the chart's standards gets taped, and the tape *absolutely* accounts for muscle mass.
What was the point of your comment?
Is it just me, or at army bct the DS would be going “1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4 go lower”
You should invite her to do some informational videos about the Marine corps.
Just a random internet user she has a TH-cam channel just type her name
Just a random internet user nah get a recruiter. Besides that’s their job anyhow.
I know what ya mean😏
I want Chris heria or demi gaby to do one of these tests on his channel
Let me know if you want me to do it on my channel and I'll post a video this week! Sub to my channel for more
Not a hater here but in the Army, they do COMPLETE sit-ups on their APFT and their rest position is the up position. Those push ups.......lol
I've seen some of these "Army tries fitness test" on youtube, not too sure I agree.
Yeah, those push-ups were questionable..
Controversial Conversation ngl they were but to me at least it seemed probably to her that she was doing them right. Sometimes you don’t know unless someone tells you and she did say she rather do pull ups, so those just aren’t her thing.
Jay P ha
I used to be that fast when I was in the Army …. 40 years ago (can't believe it's been that long)
The best I ever did at Marine Recruit Training was 70 Crunches and 48 Push-Ups
It was a real improvement for me because the first week I was there, I only did around 50 Crunches and 24 Push-Ups
She does look like a Ariana.
It's the ponytail. Must be an Ariana thing.
Ari, I needed those words, you crushed it💪🇺🇸
hell yes!!!
Damn so much respect for that 😩🥺I was suffering just watching. 😂😂Very motivational video though
Awesome performance Arianna! Thank you both for your service to our country!!! God bless!!
She's an inspiration!
Staying home, cooking, keeping the house clean and your man satisfied is what should inspire women. If that doesn't inspire you, you have a severe mental deficiency.
AN INSPIRATION ON HOW TO DO ZERO REPS.
Jake Grzanowicz 😂😆😆😆😆bro exactly
@Soy Gato the Second What does exploration have to do with anything stated here?
@Soy Gato the Second Women were created to serve men and provide companionship. Men were created to do everything else, and caring for their women is part of it so long as the women know their place. It is not a matter of choice; it is a matter of divine order that the Father Himself ordained and appointed.
Damn sargent hasnt missed a squat or a leg day.

@Dodadeus so is it ok to humiliate a marine here . First of all it's a TH-cam video so why not to maintain sanity ?

😂😂 I said the same thing how he just gonna do us like that! 😂
She didn’t do a 90° push-up one time. I count none of them
DressedSplash 9 1...1...1...1...1...1...
Exactly, poor form.
Performance Terminated. She'd be in 1SG's office getting counseled after this. I can't believe she is a Drill Sergeant.
@@_-Montana-_ failing a pt test meant sitting down in 1SG's office in both units I was in. You would be put on remedial PT and if you failed a second one they would start chapter paperwork, same thing with failing tape and weight. 68x20, 2013-2017
You go girl. Proud of you and thank you both for your service!!!!!!!!
I didn't count any push ups, she didn't even go 90 degrees. And her sit ups shouldn't be counted either because her shoulder blades did not touch the ground
THANK YOU ! This whole video was ass! And she talking about she in the Marines!
They did touch the ground when he called her out
Agreed
the shoulder blades are actually different from the shoulders. hers were touching the ground every time.
Andreea Crit look at the first 18 sit-ups. Compare that to when he said “watch your shoulders”. Big difference.
None of those pushups would’ve counted in the Army.
Look at everyone else’s push up’s in the other vids it’s funny how he never said anything to them about their push ups just her😒
@@jazlynnviolet4594 Well I'm not familiar with any other vids, but those weren't proper pushups. It's better to do ten proper pushups than 50 half assed ones.
Jazlynn Violet this is the first video in the series I watched. She busted my cherry.
Would have. "Would of" makes no sense.
Wouldn't have been good push-ups in the Navy either.
You rock, Arianna. Amazing job! Thank you for your service!
