Apple’s ecosystem and software integration is definitely their bread and butter, it’s amazing how seamlessly everything works with one another. I personally use Apple Maps as I agree with you, Jacklyn, that it just feels more integrated and intuitive to use on an iPhone rather than a third party method.

A) this video is off the charts good
2) in terms of trying to use "THE CHEAPEST" of Apple's devices in the ecosystem Apple discontinued the M1 MacBook Air and in my honest opinion 256GB of SSD storage and 8GB of unified memory IS NOT ENOUGH for what you're doing to try the "CHEAPEST" OPTIONS in the Apple ecosystem
You MIGHT be able to pull it off if you use the High Efficiency formats in the camera settings and if you have a NAS to which you can connect remotely from your favorite places in NY or wherever else
D) on the subject of MacBook security you SHOULD set your Lock Screen on your MacBook to display username and password fields so if someone with malicious intent swipes your MacBook they need to input BOTH your username on your MacBook AND your password to login to your profile
Eight) unfortunately business information cards on Apple Maps are NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE when it comes to whether or not a business ACCEPTS Apple Pay
In 2019 I saw on the information card for the 2 Kroger locations in my city said Kroger accepts Apple Pay and at the time I saw that on the information cards for Kroger Kroger DID NOT ACCEPT Apple Pay
I tried it at my nearest Kroger location and they at the time DID NOT ACCEPT Apple Pay so the information card at the time was wrong
Kroger DOES NOW ACCEPT Apple Pay
P) you forgot about the Apple TV set top box for using the Apple ecosystem
You can use your iPhone and iPad as a remote control for your Apple TV in the event you don't have your regular Apple TV remote available such as it's lost in between your couch cushions its battery needs charging or it's unable to control your Apple TV
Due to unfortunate circumstances my Apple TV remote has stopped working and so I am having to use my iPhone and iPad as my Apple TV remote and also you can pair your AirPods with your Apple TV

I agree with you about the iPad being a nice to have. My iPad Air isn't really used very much compared to my other devices such as my PC and phone. Then again I feel once you're kind of wired to using certain devices for years, it's hard to switch things up.

Thank you for these ecosystem videos. I am yet to get into one. Always think of cost, (would like to see a cheaper options video like you suggested) and whether I NEED anything other than the phone
At the end its mostly unnecessary. As customer you are always better with going with third party solutions.
For example: Dont use icloud for backing up pictures, use office 365. Its way cheaper and you get more storage.
If people talk about ecosystem is just an excuse to buy their favorite brand.
Samsung and Apple's ecosystem are basically the same. I prefer Samsung because of its deep integration with Windows, but props to Apple

My favorite Apple software integration is cut-and-paste between devices. It's 100% seamless, works 100% of the time. I also like the seamless sharing between contacts -- as an example, I share a family grocery list note with my kids, and they can edit it whenever, so that when I go to the grocery store, their requests are in there. Yeah, that's not difficult to set up on Android, but it isn't just out of the box available and seamless like that. Oh, and the ability to use your iPhone as the webcam for your Mac is great -- the iPhone rear camera is light years better than the Mac webcams, so all you need is a little tripod to be able to have real high quality video on any video chat, etc.
My LEAST favorite thing is how all of this locks me into Apple. It's.. boring. I'd love to go with a Nothing Phone 3 this year, but nope, that basically breaks everything I have if I do that, breaks Facetime with my kids, breaks my easy ability to use parental controls to limit their devices, etc.
Favorite Apple product is the Macbook Pro. I'm now on an M3 MBP, had an M1 MBP prior to this. The two best laptops I've ever owned, by a freakin' mile. Without an existing ecosystem set up (so, if I were starting anew), going all-in on Samsung phones, tablets, etc is easy and the products are every bit as good. But laptops? Nope. Not yet.

apple ecosystem is insane... like people simply will never understand if you don't have apple products. like every device is linked to "find my" like you can literally brick your MacBook from a different location if someone breaks in your house... like everything can seamlessly connects to one another.. its amazing..
I'm one of those with the budget Apple ecosystem ("budget" being a relative term with Apple products). I've got a refurbished M1 Pro MBP 14, the base iPhone 14, the 45mm Series 9 Apple Watch (no cell), and the iPad mini 6. I really like messaging with other iPhone owners using my laptop keyboard (my Samsung friends have to put up with my terrible thumb typing) and Airdrop. Also, the way the watch integrates with the phone is slick, I especially like it when navigating with Apple Maps.
Apple ecosystem is the best!
I am also using apple ecosystem and I am loving it ! 💙

@@NBTJacklyntoo difficult to say which one is mine favourite. But I love shared clipboard, keychain , universal control , sidecar , airplay , iMessage and facetime . I really enjoyed apple ecosystem and I am one of the biggest fan of apple . Sadly , I don’t have the vision pro , I wish oneday I can afford it .

Great video. You covered a lot in a short video! Stuff I didn’t know about like Maps showing whether the store accepts Apple Pay. Don’t forget to mention resale value when talking about the “cost” of Apple devices. I think Android users should concentrate on Google’s default messaging app being SMS pretty much forcing them into using messaging apps designed by data mining companies.
Like Samsung Ecosystem, and others, where devices can be connected.

I think this is the first time I have watched one of your videos, found your enthusiasm entertaining. You talk really quickly, if english wasn't my first language I think I would struggle to understand what you are saying. Why did you Airdrop your photos from your iPhone to your Mac? Assuming both devices are signed in with the sample Apple ID then just setup photos to sync via iCloud, another bit of Apple magic 😃. A review of a budget setup would be welcome and show that you can do nearly all the same things for much less money. For maps I use Waze for driving and Google Maps for everything else, perhaps I should revisit Apple Maps.

This is funny. My wife is all into the samsung ecosystem and im all into the apple ecosystem. I do have 2 lines as well and one of them is my iphone 14 pm and my other one is my S23u.

I'm fortunate to be in a position to enjoy both the Apple and Android ecosystem. Use to come up with so many excuses why I didn’t want to use iPhone or Apple products. Once I got in though, I was hooked because of how well everything works together. Definitely enjoying the benefit of Apple wallet, iMessage, air tags, homepod(s), ect.
Also, I concur about doing a video with all entry level or base Apple products. Would be very interesting.

Something to consider when you have spare time…lol, do a deep dive on accessibility features between Apple and google. I mainly use Apple because it works better with my hearing aids.

A video with the cheapest Apple products and do any integrate with productivity with Apple TV? My Google TV Chromecast has Google Meet now so i can basically teleconference with someone on a big screen. Great video! I'm team Google but i have respect for Apple. I once opened a PowerPC desktop, iBook G4, black MacBook and a could of iPod touches and bought content on iTunes and Apple TV. I wish they'd bring back the iPod touch but at least there's iPad. Oh yeah, i owned an iPad 3.
Awesome video! Really made me feel good about being all in on the Apple ecosystem. I wish when tech creators do one of these types of things, they address the elephant in the room and that's the belief that Google is not as secure when it comes to privacy as Apple. It's the reason why , even though in some respects Google is more innovative with its devices, I'll always look at them as a rabid rat in a dumpster. I don't trust Google period but maybe an objective researcher can change my mind.

The using more affordable products video is a great idea, but even if you used all the cheapest available apple products, it still adds up to silly amounts of money, and what difference really is it if you use a MacBook Air to a MacBook Pro? Perhaps what could work is give yourself a fixed budget and decide how to get the most out of the apple ecosystem buy only buying what you think are the essential products?

My wife and I have been in the Apple ecosystem for a long time now and recently I have found myself not crazy happy with my phone. I have been thinking of making the switch to Samsung but feel like I am to deep into Apple.
Do it.
Dont do it. I did it and now i am getting my as back to Apple
Avoid Samsung, effectively you just start sharing your data with Google AND Samsung for a bunch of overlapping services. Just get a Pixel or a Nothing phone - something that runs almost stock Android.
I enjoyed your videos as a first-time viewer. I watched the Samsung ecosystem then the Google ecosystem and now the Apple ecosystem. I noticed that you did not show as many devices and features on the previous ecosystems as you did on the Apple ecosystem..lil disappointed.

I'm *blown away* by just how much clearer, balanced, and pleasant the very brief (and probably unedited) iPhone selfie cam video was compared to the rest of the vlog: harsh light, hunting to focus constantly, shaky. I think something also possibly happened or got lost during the color grading.

Looking at iMessage from a peer group that is...decades older, I think it is worth pointing out that it doesn't matter as much to everyone as it does to your personal circles. My friends and family have many different brands of phone. When we struggle to share quality images, etc., the most common reaction is "ugh, Apple." There seems to be a general recognition, in my circles anyway, that Apple is the biggest (but not only) problem when it comes to cross-platform communications.
For this normal have now moved to walled garden of IOS/UNIX, iPadOS/UNIX, watchOS/UNIX, tvOS/UNIX, macOS/UNIX, and never looking back.
Its all great and then you go to work and have to use Microsoft stuff

@@NBTJacklyn nothing really. It all works well together with the O365 but I don't use it outside of work so yet another ecosystem that I have to learn.
Apple maps really sucks in Europe

That's the one thing about Apple is that their ecosystem just works together.
I have Apple phone Google maps
All the way
Google maps is just way better Apple maps is so freaking garbage never worked for me.
I use Apple Maps as it works well with the watch and Dynamic Island but Google maps is way more accurate with traffic and road closures plus at the end of the trip, google maps would provide a small detail screen on average speed and length of the trip
Samsung's ecosystem works equally as well for me.
