They are not reliable, mine has tons of problems they can't figure out and has stranded me.
BTW if the is an intermitant problem that they can't figure out and fix it doesn't go againt thier JP Power score. I have several of those.

2024 owner here. This Tundra is smaller yet heavier than my 2008. Neither the 2024 nor the 2008 will tow over 8000 lbs very well. They do enjoy a high degree of reliability. If toyota sold a 3/4 to 1 ton size truck, then I would certainly buy one. I'm in the market for one since my new 2024 isn't up to the task.

I bought a 2021 tundra in November of that year.. I added a trans cooler. What I really wanted was the v8 with a 10 speed and a 355 rear end. The six speed I have and the 430 rear end is not as fuel efficient.
I don’t trust the six cylinder turbo and it appears I was correct in my thinking.
Toyota should consider going back to a V8 with rear end choices and the 10 speed auto.
I will say this my 2021 v8 and the six speed and 430 rear end is a towing beast for a 1/2 ton and as such
That is its primary mission and in 2022 I bought a hatch corolla six speed manual as a daily driver for non towing.
Toyota discontinued the manual in the Corolla in 2023
So I bought two vehicles before they screwed up the brand ( NO TURBO OR CVT TRANS FOR ME)

I had several Toyotas & Lexus’s since 2007. I’ve had 3 Tundras. My most reliable one was a 2009. My 2011 had some issues and my 2016 had a bunch of issues. I looked at a 2023 and my mechanic and dealer said wait a few years. I bought a 2021 F250 diesel and totally love it. I hope Toyota gets their act together and actually listen to what the buyers want.

Was this video sponsored by Toyota? All of the pickups have their certain problems problems and the Tundra isn't an exception to to this. The cons list is just another way to bash the other trucks.

Toyota tends to stand behind their stuff. They had turbo issues, found a fix and did a recall.
Others now a days don't do that as often as they should. Tundra may not score the highest points in the catagories of doing truck things...but toyota does score the highest in quality and standing behind there shit.

You bought a new vehicle not a rebuilt and should be compensated or what you bought, a new vehicle. Do not settle for less than you are satisfied with. Manufacturing a vehicle is complex but when something major is wrong that should not be the purchaser's problem.

Toyota has lost my blessing with these New Gen Tundra since 2022.👎 It’s hard to give up reliability Toyota has spoiled buyers in yrs previously. A V8 with a Ten speed transmission should have been offered on Toyota Tundra selection.

@@raulo.1761 The new tundras have not external transmission cooler, some people said is in the transmission, others said is in the radiator, bla bla bla. Toyota said the new transmission temperature can go up to 235 degrees..B.S. if you are planning to tow a trailer just be careful, you can get a Scan3 gauge for $270 at Amazon and connect to the OBD so you can read the trany temp. I bought a 2024 SR5 full loaded I just drove 600 miles and trade in, I lost money What I didn't like? EVERYTHING. the engine noise, the turbos, the poor quality inside cheap plastic, the new suspension, not leaf spring (so you have to put air bags, another Toyota mistake) If you want the navigation you have to paid for so Sorry but looks like you made the same mistake I did.

Would NOT consider a purchase until these New Turbo / Electric ⚡️ engines can prove true reliability of the 2000’s era V8 Gas ⛽️ Tundras & Sequoia with over 500K miles & a few even reaching 1 Million miles!
This electric ⚡️ turbos will most likely not go the distance!
Manufacturers should leave the choice of electric ⚡️ 🆚 gas ⛽️ V8 to the consumers.
    It’s their money. 💰 💵

I'm sorry but I'm against this V6 Twin Turbo technology, especially if you'll be using the truck for towing a heavy trailer, as that would make the turbos run constantly which would put a lot of heat into the engine and shorten the life. The Ford Eco Boost V6 twin turbo is proof of this problem when towing with engine failures starting as soon as 50,000 miles.
In addition to that these engines have 2 turbos, and turbos only last an average of 150,000 miles, so you will have 2 turbo failures that are not cheap to fix.
I don't know if Toyota figured out a way around the low mileage high failure rate that the Ford is experiencing, but I wouldn't dare buy the Toyota till that engine has seen at least 5 years of use. Don't get me wrong, I love Toyota vehicles and own two of them including a Tundra with the 5.7 V8, but I won't be rushing out to get the twin-turbo V6 any time soon!

Toyota getting rid of the 4.7 V8 was a huge mistake (Just to appease environmentalist). The 5.7 was Good too but not as great as a 4.7. The V6 turbo was a mistake and people will be around long enough to see the results… just watch.

The biggest issue is the main bearing lubrication problem that has seized engines in thousands of 2022 and 2023 Tundra's. Mine made it to 28,000 before she blew. After a six month battle with the non-existent Toyota customer service I finally got my Lemon Law buyback check. Run far away from Toyota.

Wanna talk about how the public wants their V8 and not this go green B.S? OR about how the tundra has become UNRELIABLE? Engine failures, trans failures, interior issues, alignment ect. Toyota WAS known to be reliable. These new go green sh!t heads have destroyed the reliability of a Toyota. Before you 3rd gen owners try to keyboard warrior me, hear me out. The 2nd gen had 0% issues on motor failure. The 3rd gen is at .8%. And i cant even find ANY research of someone putting REAL miles on it. Just you little fancy mall crawling folks going to spend 200$ on a pair of jeans. I want someone who uses their tundra for truck stuff and has put on at least 80k on their 3rd gen to talk to about it. Seems nearly impossible to find. I am a Toyota die hard, but I wont do this 3rd gen BS. Prove me wrong. Give me real stats of a truck used for real truck stuff.
