Play the game man. It’s fun. I enjoyed every minute of it. Ignore the hate from these usual YT grifters. Experience things for yourself and make your own decision if a game is good or not. 👍
I rented it a few days ago and have been having a great time with it. It reminds me of being a kid and playing with my Star Wars toys in the 80s. I'm a big fan of stealth games and I think this one pretty great! One thing you didnt mention that I really appreciated the devs for doing was allowing the player to fine tune the enemy AI, incoming and outgoing damage, stealth awareness, etc. That really goes a long way to letting each player fine tune the most fun experience for themselves. It also makes arguments like "the game has shitty AI" pretty silly.
I'm loving it personally, despite its flaws. A lot of people just jumping on the hate band wagon without even playing it for themselves. I also think a lot of people are pissed because they can't run at max settings. Some of the graphical features are really for future hardware and I really like this approach.
maybe dont have money to buy or subscribe ubiplus? i subscribe the game and play the game it was good, but i cant finish it because the game is so repetitive, already unsubscribed looking forward to resubscribe again in november to play yasuke as my main
I had a first bad impression when I started playing this game. Now I'm in 40 hours and I really enjoy it. It does feel alive and the more you unlock abilities and tools the more you get to enjoy the game. It is also beautiful in terms of graphics when it comes to environment. The hacking was a true waste of time. The combat sucks at first but gets more interesting the further you get. And I really really don't get what's up with these people saying that Kay Vess is ugly. Wtf? She looks like a realistic good looking girl not wearing any makeup living in a rough environment. 7/10 is a fair rating in my books. Thanks for your honest review.
Same, i'm fully into the game after the first negative experience, the game grew on me as i progressed and upgraded the speeder, blaster etc, also was presented some beautiful locations and characters from the Star Wars galaxy(Jabba the hutt in particular). Space combat is great fun too
Answering the question the video creator put I have no interest in being a regular guy in a Star Wars game. There are plenty of games where I am a regular guy already, on top of being a regular guy on real life. Being a regular guy in Star Wars is not novel enough for me. Also, the protagonist can knock down a stormtrooper with a punch, stealth like a ninja and survive multiple blaster shots. It does not look very "regular guy" for me.
i got it for free with a new CPU purchase and now that i finish the game i really like it, gonna start a new play through after silent hill 2 playthrough
This was a great review. I admit that the bad rep almost tempted me to dismiss the game but the only thing that kept it in my wishlist for the future would be the graphics it showcased ever since the first trailer, the fact that it's an original Star Wars story, and the hope for patches that fix whatever game breaking bugs it has. Any game that uses the Snowdrop engine cannot be ignored. This review has solidified my resolve to play this game in my lifetime and I hope eventually it ends up featured as a free monthly PS Plus essentials game so that it will get the recognition it deserves from people who were skeptical of it at first.
Sorry to say, but this game is mid at best, but a 4/10 for me tbh. Gameplay is really mediocre, the stealth is really bad since the enemies AI is really pathetic. I never felt good after wiping a wave of enemies, it just didn't feel good. Have you seen most of the takedowns? They are simply ridiculous and hard to believe. I experienced 17 bugs throughout the game as well. Now the story is just so bland and boring, and add that to the characters, too. It all just felt like I was being dragged while I continued to play it. I gave the game 11 hours, and I regret not having use them for another game. Sorry bro, but I gave it a try, and it was a bad experience. I dont reccomend it to anyone. As a gamer and a Star Wars fan, it's not fun or interesting.
Fair enough. Take down animations aren't the best. I dunno why they didnt just give her some kind of tool to get storm troopers or something. I still enjoyed it. I like the story and characters tbh.
@@TheStickz6 I mean, that's fine, you are free to like and enjoy whatever you want, just like other people have the right to criticize or express their dislike. Don't let anyone tell you you cant like it, however, from my perspective, the story arnd characters are too bland. In the end, the free market will decide what suceeds or not.
Combat is good? I load up the game, played on hard, killed all enemies for an hour without being scratched most of the time. Sometimes I could actually not look at the monitor and still defeat an enemy without getting scratched. In all fairness, I played games with better AI 25 years ago. Good for you that you enjoyed it, but besides the graphics and world, which are beautiful, everything else is between bad to attrocious. Oh, the story is ok.
@peperming7835 not everything can be elden ring, god of war or black myth wukong. It's okay to enjoy less than ideal or imperfect games. Again you are saying this game is bad but thats not proven. Its a solid 7 with average combat.
I think it’s an excellent game. It makes a nice change from playing a Jedi. What’s sad is those that believe these “reviewers” that say it’s terrible without playing the game themselves and making their own mind up.
@StevesgamingWorld don't need to play a game when you can watch it live streamed without wasting 120 dollars mate. Especially if it's been given atrocious reviews.
I got this game free because I bought a laptop a couple weeks ago and it came with. Otherwise I wouldn’t have ever played it because of how bad everyone is saying it is. The people claiming it is terrible have obviously never played it because it is actually really good. Yes, the main character looks terrible but everything else about the game is very good.
Kay’s animations weren’t the best, which made he not look good, but she is no way ugly, she’s just not the stellar blade type these YT grifters want every female protagonist to look like in a game.
I mean, looks are irrelevant. The only people concerned about that only want to goon about, and think that normal women walk around with a models make-up face. The game is a solid 6-6.5/10, it's kinda messy, but it's fun and beautiful. I wish ubi put more effort into it, but I'm 60hrs in and enjoying it.
I got the game and I'm enjoying it! I don't think it's the best game ever but it's fun! I don't listen to reviews or what people say or think. If I see something I like I get it. I had listened to reviews before and I almost missed out on games I actually loved. This one game got bad reviews and I wound up getting it in sale and I loved the game! I do not go by reviews anymore cuz obviously what 1 person likes 1 will hate so you go by what you like. It's not that difficult.
@ianrice1778 yea. I tend to follow creators that think similiar to me. I dont have unlimited funds so If those creators I usually agree with say its bad then i usually avoid
It’s not illegal to like bad games. Star Wars Outlaws could have been more, like a lot more. Unfortunately it’s not, and that’s just not disappointing at all. It’s Ubisoft, expecting greatness from it is just…laughable.
@@animefaction863 coulda been more. And I never expected greatness which is why it met my exoectations. Its exactly what I thought it would be and I had fun
I love the game no matter what everyone says... I want to build my own opinion on a game like the good old Times. I played the game had 2 Crashes and 1light Bug with a Quest. I feel like ppl just want to hate These says..
@Sir__Angelo it seems that way. Theres also a huge overreaction to anything that could possibly be dei. I understand the frustration but everyones become an extremist
I remember when I was growing up there was always that so-called cool kid who hated things that most people liked, it seems like nowadays everyone thinks they are that cool kid. An example of this is the MCU, before endgame, the majority of people were hardcore Marvel fans and if you said anything bad about Marvel you would get endless abuse on social media, but now it's cool to hate Marvel. Ubisoft could release a flawless game and they would still get hate because there are so many TH-camrs that jump on the bandwagon for likes, it's funny how many TH-camrs I've seen spread so much hate about Ubisoft games, to then go buy the games and stream them.
It's a trash game made by a soulless woke corporation. MCU is the exact same thing, but for media. Bad writing, poor visual effects, DEI is at the forefront of all of their decisions, and they always seem to spend twice the budget and get half the results.
@@fearomen760You are just hearing what others are saying and jumping on the band wagon and not thinking for yourself. I am against woke too. But in Star Wars Outlaws I have not seen anything woke at least not to break the immersion. The graphics are very good and so is the game play The main Character is a smuggler she is not supposed to look like a hot super model. She gets into fights and does dangerous stuff. Of course she will look a little rough she has a broken nose. Also every game nowadays would have bugs at launch (I never encountered any that is game breaking). I also do not care what political Ubisoft or other companies do behind the scenes or what they support. As long as they make a good game which SW Outlaws is then I will buy and enjoy it.
@@fearomen760 What’s DEI about it? Because it has a female lead? games have been doing that for generations. Bet you’re one of them people that follows Nerdrotic and the rest of his goon squad with no brain cells of your own.
Great review mate. I gave it a 7 myself. It was a fun game to play and the story was pretty decent too, I enjoyed it. I started liking Kay the more I played. All the flaws you mentioned were pinpoint. If they had fixed up some animations and allowed you to ride other vehicles and pick up other guns to keep in your inventory, to use later, I would have given it a solid 8.
I'm actually hyped to play the game... but maybe next year, my backlog is just HUGE, I'm 5 hours away from finishing Jedi: Fallen Order, which means maybe 2-3 weeks from now 😂
My dude, Kotor is very old at this point. Yes you got to live in the Star Wars Universe like you do here, but the technology is much better now and it's a lot more of a realized and immersive experience now especially with the ability to fly around in space and to fly across the Dune sea on your speeder. The best thing this game does is let you live in the Star Wars Universe more than we've ever been able to before.
Don't listen to the man, I'm having great fun with this game. If you're a Star Wars fan this is awesome if only just to explore these worlds. Yes Kotor let you explore the world but that game is very old so it's not as immersive as this. The bustling City streets, the open Dune sea to ride my speeder across, flying my ship out in space, infiltrating and Imperial base, getting in with the Hutt cartel? These things are all awesome it feels like solo but a game. Yes it has issues but it lets you just live in the Star Wars Universe more than any other game has before
I mean you are. She's just a street rat rookie trying to make a name for herself. She doesn't have tons of special abilities she seems to be pretty novice at everything she does, and part of the game is finding Specialists to teach you new abilities so that you can become a better scoundrel
Great vid, I gave the game a chance and I’m really enjoying it. People need to realise that even if a game isn’t a 10/10 some people will still enjoy it while still critiquing some aspects.
It's crazy to me that people miss out on all types of entertainment because they heard some negative about it. They don't do research and trash it like they have 50 hours in it or something. Idk it's weird to let strangers form my opinion and not do any research about it
I personally love this game, i feel it's a solid 8. It has it's issues, but i can look past all that. Massive entertainment makes decent games, they are just under a shitty publisher. I've only encountered one game breaking bug, but that was because I installed it on a hard drive. Once I moved it over to my m.2 , it runs fine now
The gameplay showcases did nothing to help this game. Let everybody knows the best way to tell if a game is good or not is to not play it and watch somebody else play it. Because watching somebody play a game is just as fun as playing it yourself
At this point for me it's a matter of what Ubisoft is doing. They are stepping all over Japan and disrespecting them on so many levels. They gave Ubisoft too many chances and now Ubisoft is getting all the hate it deserves. To me it's about Ubisoft and not the individual game. I'm looking forward to the potential lawsuits with this new discriminatory hiring practice for I think learning or something? Basically they are sexist against men, all men.
So you are saying it's okay to step on Japan's history, disrespect their culture and tell them they don't matter when it comes to their country? No I'm not letting that go. They deserve so much better. They are a proud people that not many people realize today outside of the country that they went through a complete cultural shift. I don't think you understand just what it took to quell the culture of the warrior spirit to become who they are today. Ubisoft is disrespecting the deepest part of who Japan is. They disrespect what they had to give up to fit in with the rest of the world. They made so many sacrifices and they have upheld their end of peace to the most extreme degree. To this day because of the unrest and wars going on they asked for permission to build a military to protect their country. They didn't just start doing it and they asked. If you know anything about Japan and it's people is that they are nothing, but honest. Sure there are some outliers, but for the most part they are an honest people. They do things by the book as that is their discipline. You don't trample a country and it's history because of a game. You don't tell them what actually happened. You don't rewrite their history. That is what Ubisoft is doing.
"it just felt like the Star Wars I love". That's great to hear! But did you consider the possibility that the Star Wars that you love is not the same as the Star Wars other people love?
@@inebriatedhamster What's weird is the ongoing Star Wars drama online. It's as if people who don't like what Ubisoft and LucasFilm are pumping out are wrong for not liking their content.
@@timetravellingtoadto be fair, a lot of the hate I've seen is literally just because it's ubisoft, and I've seen people hate on it because you play as a chick and not Han solo, I've seen people say they're not going to play the game because the chick isn't hot enough, and literally just because it's Disney star wars.
I haven’t played the game yet, but from what I’ve seen I think it looks good. Sure it’s not the perfect imagination of an open-world Star Wars game, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Ubisoft tried their best to do something no other Star Wars game company had done before, and they accomplished it. Of course it could have been better, but so can every other game in existence. People should be more grateful and stop setting standards because if that’s the case, this game beats the majority of games created till this point (that includes mobile games, arcade games, etc). The fact people can even play a game in 4K should blow their minds given the advancements in technology.
People can’t compare Star Wars: Outlaws to some of the best games ever made without also comparing it to every other game, as a whole. It’s very subjective, and sheds a bad light on games like these.
It’s not failing because it’s a bad game. (Lots of flawed games sell very well and get forgiving reviews.) it’s failing because it’s double the price of all the other games. It’s a Ford with a Ferrari price tag.
@simonbeech6073 it is not double the price. Its the same price as any other triple a game. Dont be dramatic. The tiers are trash but we've been paying this much for games for years now
30 hours in and this game needs another six months to a year in dev. The game is full of bugs. $69 for standard version? Ridiculous. I bought the monthly plan to play so I wouldn't be ripped off. 4/10.
@@TheStickz6 Oh wow that's awesome. I started with the Master System. Too bad your taste in games is atrociously bad lol. jk, have fun. I'm not happy with the game personally but I hope you have a blast. It's just a game.
It was ok until the 24th October update on ps5 now the controller speaker doesn't work anymore on the game and it has terrible screen tearing it didn't have before
Very fair description. The game is not perfect but a lots of good intentions. I enjoy the exploration a lot and the faction reputation mechanic keeps me going from bounty to bounty across the galaxy. It’s a solid game. Personal tips for haters never pre-order any game, I stopped when I pre-ordered Anthem. May the force be with you Stickz.
I have having this same conversation with someone in the comment section of another video. They hadn’t played it but were convinced it was trash. Such a shame
we talk bad because WE SEE THE GAMEPLAY!!!!! you stupid fucks need to understand that it is a full priced game. 80$ without tax, 90$ with tax over here in Canada. If i see gameplay and it shows a bunch of glitches and bugs and looks like shit, i aint spending 90$ on the game. plain and simple
No ones saying you have to buy the game. Just maybe dont go reviewing it and bad mouthing it if you haven't played it. As I said it doesn't look great gameplay wise but it plays well enough for me and I had a great time
It doesn’t look good gameplay wise even though that is the main reason people buy games. We see a gameplay trailer, it looks like crap, we badmouth it cause this is a recurring theme with Ubisoft and it is pissing people off who want a good finished product which Ubisoft and many other companies keep failing to do. This game got shit reception for a reason
"The cities feel so alive." - No collision with NPCs - No interactions with objects - No destructible objects - No reactions from NPCs on player actions You must be drunk, sir. The game is bad and there is no need to make excuses for it. If it was made by an indie studio with 6 people, we could have a serious talk here. But this is Ubisoft, a company one can expect to delivery a product which surpasses the previous games they created or at least matches the same quality. And Star Wars Outlaws is very simply put a bellow average product.
You sir must be high on those Blues to think the NPCs and environment isn't interactive. Just another example of someone talking shit on a game they never played.
Have you played it? While there might not be the sort of (sometimes overwhelming) interactivity of RDR2, there are so many people doing different and interesting things, I just spent the last hour walking around Mirogana city looking in all the nooks and crannies and seeing the different details. And then finding different people to offer quests or give intel or items. I don't think every developer has to do what Rockstar did, because their focus is different.
@@greatwesternsky I don't care, what the reason is for your blindness. As I don't care about your feelings. Stating just facts here. One very smart man once said. "If I shoot a wall and there is no hole left behind, I feel betrayed and ignored by the wall." The beauty of the game and the work put in by the designers, which I never once criticized, are packed into an ankle deep gameplay loop, in which the world lacks any interaction with the character. If you enjoy this shitshow, good for you. But Star Wars Outlaws is objectively a pile of sh*t.
That's like, your opinion man. I'm having tons of fun with the game. Yeah it is a Ubisoft game, but they've improved the exploration and RPG elements, and no game lets you just live in the Star Wars Universe like this game does. The last time we actually got to live in the Star Wars Universe like this was Kotor 2 oh so long ago. So maybe you didn't enjoy it but for Big Star Wars fans, there's a lot to love about exploring the city streets, driving your speeder across the Dune sea, getting in with the cartels, infiltrating Imperial bases, it really feels like the Solo movie but a game which is pretty cool to feel like that street rat trying to make a name for themselves in the underworld.
@@captainfach yes, love the unlocking puzzle, ubi should think make a standalone game for that unlocking puzzle game, that would be more enjoyable than killing stuff like 3-4 waves and i got so sleepy.. i would rather spent my time unlocking puzzle and spaceship shooting
@@Exialyser oh wow you must be bummed that it's an extremely miniscule part of the game then and doesn't really affect anything because if you hate it you can turn it off
I have a grips with this video. My first problem is you saying that im not allowed to critique the game if i haven't played. I hate that statement, I'm 100% allowed to critique something i haven't played. You shouldn't need to waste your money just to say something is bad. My second problem wich is more of a nitpick then anything. Saying she is just a normal girl with no special powers, yet they gave her the ability to punch people out in helmets which is far from normal. And we have had bobafet which has no super powers outside his intelligence. My third problem is a two of your points. The graphics and k looks incredibly bad for a $70 and up that you have to agree on. And for k i dont care she looked ugly, the problem is when you see the actress which dont even look remotely close. I wont be getting this game because it didn't appeal to me in any way, wouldn't be worth my money.
Oh its awful sometimes. I dunno why they do this. They literally learnt with unity not to release broken games. Now they relearning the lesson again. Its like cmon.
A 6-8 is actually decent-great a 9 or 10 is like GOTY a masterpiece. 5 is mid. 4 is bad 3-0 is trash. There is more to the rating besides trash or masterpiece.
@brendameistar buddy, I just call everything like I see it. I am not coping, I enjoyed the game. It's okay if you didn't. Not ever game is for everyone. I talked about that a bunch in my elden ring easy mode video
Are you on death sticks my dude? The environments are the best part of this game. They are absolutely gorgeous and the render distance is quite impressive. I'm wondering if you had a rare bug that I had when I first started on pc. There was something wrong with a file of the game where it wasn't sharpening so the whole game looked like a blurry mess. But I think they fixed it because my game has been looking pretty dang good for a few days now since the update
Combat is so bad in this game. The game just felt like a cheap cash grab for me. And ain't no way you're comparing this cr@p to Andor. Outlaws doesn't even come close to Andor's storytelling.
@@sriddhit combat is not great. I wasnt comparing the stories of andor to this. I was comparing the type of story it is. Eg no jedi or powerful main character
I definitely wouldn't compare it to andor, but it's more like solo if it was a game. You're a street rat trying to make a name for themselves, you're definitely a rookie that's trying to get their bearings, and you're trying to put together a team for a Big Heist. But if you're a Star Wars fan then this game actually has a lot for you in just living in the Star Wars world and interacting with these factions. The upgrade system and RPG system is actually pretty fun because you'll actually have to find the specific pieces to do certain upgrades to your speeder, ship, and Blaster and they won't just be RNG in chests and stuff they will be in specific locations sometimes in faction territory or even an imperial compound so you'll have to actually risk yourself or your faction standing in order to upgrade your parts and I think that's a lot cooler than a skill tree or just waiting for RNG to give you what you want. Also the RPG elements are pretty cool cuz there's no skill tree. You actually need to find the Specialists to teach you these abilities and then you achieve goals to upgrade or modify those abilities instead of just getting XP and putting points in
@@captainfach The thing is I'm a star wars fan and I still hate this game. Its an incomplete piece that will never justify the 70 dollars price tag. BM Wukong is 10 dollars less than this crap yet its so much better. The core mechanics of Outlaws are flawed.
@sriddhit to each their own I suppose. There are a lot of small bugs but nothing major for me, and I'm just having a blast walking through MOS Eisley right now. There's even a little legend in the Cantina that anybody who sits in that seat where Greedo was killed will end up getting blasted, the Blaster Mark is still on the wall from the special edition when Greedo Missed han
😂🤣 people complain even though they haven't played it that's hilarious 😂 Ubisoft use to be good with Splinter Cell Watch Dogs Assassin's Creed Wildlands 😭 and a few other games but I still brought Star Wars because I wanted to see it for myself from all the bad reviews on TH-cam
I'm wondering how people are getting these bugs. I saw the dunkey video as well and I didn't have barely any of those bugs. The most bugs I had was sometimes a chest wouldn't open. Just kind of slightly annoying bugs but I never had anything game-breaking
The gaming community in general is very cultlike and group-think oriented at the moment, generally focusing on the most toxic and moronic talking points. I'm hoping it's just a phase. I was very cynical of this game purely based on it being a Ubisoft title, and their output of late has been very cookie-cutter and uninspiring, but a few people I trust have been quite positive about this game, so I might give it a look at some point.
What a glowing recommendation for the game. "Most of Ubi's games are shit, but some people I know said it's alright, so maybe one day I might look at it." That's what some of the biggest game budgets and THE biggest entertainment IP in the world gets you.
"moronic" talking points: buggy unfinished, badly done A.I. can be played by an IGN journalist, how can a 90lb girl KO armored storm troopers with bare fists? It's designed to appeal to the most casual, mobile gamers.
@@finfrog3237 Yes those ones. Let's not forget the youtube gaming media losing their collective shit over the main character's jawline. Fucking embarrassing tbh.
Majority opinion doesn't rule anything nor does it dissuade me from having my own opinion or fun. I enjoyed this game and nothing anyone can say can take that away. Many of the bad opinions are from people who never played the game
Majority opinion rules so you're saying if more people hate a thing than like a thing, that means it's bad? Are you aware that when Empire Strikes Back came out the majority of people did not like it? You know, the greatest movie in the entire franchise? So I guess that's bad too because of that majority rule
@TheStickz6 majority opinion literally rules everything. Let's dumb it down real good for you: murder is bad yes? Why? Because the majority agrees that it's bad, even if a few fringe opinions might claim otherwise. Now let's see how democracy and laws work. The majority vote for a specific leader or law to be passed, thus the majority opinion rules. Are you starting to understand yet, or do I need to continue? Use your brain please. And if you enjoy it, then good for you, it's no different from me enjoying a filthy bit of kfc... it's still unhealthy and cancer inducing as all hell, and I'm well aware, but I love it anyway.
Mate cmon. Theres a difference between democracy which chooses a leader and whether something is true or not. The truth of something is not changed because more people believe something. Everyone used to think the world was flat. It didnt suddenly become spherical because the majority changed their minds. Opinions are even more complicated than either of those things. Its a lot more complicated than game bad.
@@TheStickz6 You're conflating opinion and fact. Objective reality and subjective views are not the same thing. most believed the earth to be flat, but were proven incorrect. People hated the star wars prequels when they came out, now people love them, they were right then, and they're right now. Why is it so hard to accept that your opinion is trash to most people? Why are you coping so hard about this? I don't try to convince people that trashy shows that I enjoy are good, it ain't that hard

It's so much better than any of the showcases they did
I'll simply say this as a 28 year old who's played way too many games. If every new game was similar in quality to star wars outlaws, i would find a new hobby.
I jumped on the hate bandwagon but ended up wanting to try it through the $20 ubisoft subscription a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely has its problems and I think it's a strong 7 but its nowhere near as bad as people are saying. Currently 13 hours in and im enjoying my time with it so far. Also I swear whoever the people were that did Kays models for ingame/cutscenes/prerendered were on some shit. Sometimes her face looks really good and she looks identical to her actress but others she looks completely different and looks like Rocky Denis mixed with some fish alien 😂
Im glad you enjoyed your time :) they had Kays model long before they got her voice actor. She was changed to look more like her. But there are definitely some inaccuracies.
I almost believed all the negative shit people were saying. Thankfully, I gave the game a real chance and i'm now over twenty hours in and wanna do every little thing there is to do because man this game is sick! There is no other experience like it. Being able to walk through Mos Eisley, stop in a cantina and take in the atmosphere maybe play some sabaac. Hearing all the comments made by the different factions and species that you immediately catch a reference and can't help but laugh. The speeder chases are really fun as well. I will say. I wasn't the biggest fan of the stealth at the beginning it becomes way easier, the more you progress through the story. I'll go through an entire facility without firing a bullet. Just by sneaking by them or taking them all out quietly with tge help of Nix
I've already seen enough people playing it to know I won't like playing it. The main character is an annoying, uncharismatic stammering mess Ubislop wants us to believe is a "confident daring rouge." You can't hurt civilians or animals. Every planet is bland and boring. Where as there are places like Theed, underwater cities, Bespian, and other very impressive planets shown during the Order 66 montage. Forced stealth was a trash mechanic 20 years ago. Even then, I've seen people run into basses and walk out with finishing objectives in no time. Asmondgold hiding in the bushes is still hilarious. I still hate if you go slightly out of bounds of a small narrow path in every Ubislop game, a count down timer to fail the mission starts. The pricing is also ridiculous for such a mediocre product. A 100+ to get close to the full product is highway robbery. I've seen enough live streams ov various youtubers playing it to know I don't want it, and I won't like it. Ubislop needs to get use to people not paying for their half-baked, overly designed by committee garbage.
Well you're not a daring Rogue you're a street rat Kidd rookie. A lot of the game is you trying to get better and learning from Specialists to become a good scoundrel. This isn't some sort of Boss girl situation. And I will add that the force stealth sections are only in situations where it would just be wasting your time to allow you to go into combat. Like if you're on an imperial base, obviously they're just going to be calling a bunch of Stormtroopers and they're all going to mow you down. So it is respecting your time and just having you go to the checkpoint. But more often than not, there are not for stealth sections and you can blast your way out of a situation. It's only when it really wouldn't make sense for you to be able to blast your way out that they do that. And why you would want to kill the civilians and animals, I'm not sure. Gamer's need to stop listening to drama TH-camrs. This game is great. I felt a connection to NIX and the team. The story was great! Played over 40 hours. Thanks for not following the people that complain about cancel culture then do it themselves.
@@danieljung2810 haha yea I have noticed that lately. The people who complain about cancelling people seem to love trying to cancel games. Lol thanks for the comment
Here's a word of advice and I'm not trying to be negative towards you. Don't start a video like this by accusing all of the people saying negative things about the game, haven't played the game therefore their comments and criticism is irrelevant. You're dismissing criticisms, stop it it's cringey and it always comes off that way just don't do that next time. Straight up address the things you think are good about the game and acknowledge the things you dislike about the game don't do all that other s*** it just comes off so disingenuous and you sound like an Ubisoft chill when you do that I'm not saying you are but I'm saying you give those people grounds to accuse you
@jonathansoko1085 thats not what I said. I said 'a lot of the bad reviews seem to be coming from people who haven't even played the game.' Originally I had reviews and counters to them in my script for this video but took them out as it didn't suit the way the video went in the end. And in those reviews I had proof of this statement.
@@TheStickz6 you know what you're doing when you say those types of things though come on man. You're appealing to that. Also you don't necessarily have to have played a game to see and acknowledge bad things about it. You seem smart enough to understand and I know what you're doing and you know what you're doing. It's absolutely fine to enjoy a bad game one of my favorite games is called the technomancer a lot of people would say it's a bad game and I probably agree but I f****** love it. But I'm honest enough to admit that I am also honest enough to not claim everyone else is just a hater
@jonathansoko1085 again I didnt do that. You can assume all you like about what you think Im doing but that doesnt make it true. I was saying exactly what I had evidence of. There was a giant hate campaign against this game well before it even came out. People can say what thry like about a game but I think that reviewing a game you havent even played is not good for this industry. Anyone is welcome to not want to purchase a game based on anything they want. But to actually spread that information as being a true representation of a game is not okay in my book.
@jonathansoko1085 I accept claims once their burden of proof is met. Just because you think you're right does not make it so. I accept criticism but just because someone says something in my comment section and thinks their right does not mean I should accept that. If I did I'd have to accept conflicting opinions.
If anyone’s out there thinking about getting this game and you like Star Wars go for it. Don’t listen to these wet wipes putting the game down they have too much time on their hands and they think everything has to be perfect, they need to focus on their actual lives and stop freaking out over a fictional story as if it’s the end of the world , their just weird .I’m someone that really doesn’t care for the whole inclusive thing franchises are now doing but this game doesn’t feel that way. In all honesty as a guy I would rather see a girl like Kay (who isn’t ugly by the way) for hours than another dude anyway lol. I nearly didn’t buy this because of the reviews but just went for it anyway and I’m very glad I did. Hope you enjoy the game and may the force be with you ✌️

I appreciate this video, not defending ubisoft but truly defending the game. True star wars fan who can appreciate this piece of star wars even if its not every single thing we want.
I'm a true Star Wars enjoyer, and because of how much I use to love SW, I know this is nothing like what I would want. Look into SW 1313 if you want to see how disappointed SW fans are about a game we all wanted, but was scrapped when Disney took over

@GamingNinja-n6v its definitely fun. I loved my time in it. Trying to finish black myth wukong now. But I got season pass so ill be back when the dlc launches
The game was ok. The reason why people hate it as well the ubisoft style of games. They haven't really updated anything. If you played AC series, division, far cry and watchdogs it feels so samey. They need to innovate their AI and side quests as the AI is bad and the quests do get boring. You have witcher 3 and red dead redemption 2 or gtav from the previous generation and they felt more rewarding to play. Especially gtav is all the way back to 360 and ps3 so no excuses there. The only thing I will give it credit for is the world is amazing and voice acting. By you making this video you are actually advocating to buy the game instead of being on the middle what are all the bad and good instead of highlighting mostly what's good. It's worth 70 it's probably worth 25 or less games as it's repetitive unless you like that type of games. Why can't you swim or why can't you intimidate enemies by simply aiming your gun or why can't you steal disguises like how Han and Luke did. Even Hitman on ps2 had these simple mechanics. This game is a mix bag. 6/10 at most. I would rather play their splinter cell games as the stealth is more polished there than this game.
I read quite a few bad reviews, I almost gave up on it but in the end I decided to buy it - and I don't regret it for a moment. The game looks great and highly addictive. More than that - in recent times, no other game has captured me like this. Yes, it is far from perfect but I am very happy with it.
@dxcv555 yea I completely stopped playing wukong to play this. Not saying its better than wukong because its not but I had a great time. Glad you liked it

Where can you rent games these days?
@@TheStickz6 I got it from gamefly
I'm loving it personally, despite its flaws. A lot of people just jumping on the hate band wagon without even playing it for themselves. I also think a lot of people are pissed because they can't run at max settings. Some of the graphical features are really for future hardware and I really like this approach.

Answering the question the video creator put
I have no interest in being a regular guy in a Star Wars game.
Fair enough. You don't have to like the idea. I enjoyed it. Thanks for your reply
i got it for free with a new CPU purchase and now that i finish the game i really like it, gonna start a new play through after silent hill 2 playthrough
@@jars23 thank you for the comment. I hope you enjoy it :)

Combat is good? I load up the game, played on hard, killed all enemies for an hour without being scratched most of the time.
This exactly. They just want to hate the game because they think it cool if they do. Most of them have not even played the game.

Take a break from the internet for a bit dude.

@@The_Stranger1986 I outlined in the video why I disagree. I still had a lot of fun despite it's short comings

Brother, majority opinion rules. And sometimes you've just got bad taste
The main character is an annoying, uncharismatic stammering mess Ubislop wants us to believe is a "confident daring rouge."
You can't hurt civilians or animals.
You may want to talk to somebody about that. Because you're all so not playing as a crazy murderer with no conscience. You're playing as a street rat kid that still has a good heart despite being rough around the edges
