Thanks a lot for this video explaining this amazing feature of Subtitle Edit. I started using the regular version of this program only the other day. Still looking around how to use all it's features, found your video, and downloaded the beta version. Had some difficulties putting the vosk models in the right place, but got it working. And it really blows my mind. This really is a time saver.

Hey David great video as always! Wondering if you can make a video/give tips on how to do overlapping text? (2 people talking) and how to keep the lines of text on the same line instead of jumping around? Any tips would be appreciated^^
Hi Woolanding. I Use ASS style for overlapping. Then, in SE, you have to activate the option "allow overlapping".

THANKS VERY MUCH SIR. I've tried it on a more than 1-minute video. Downloaded the 128MB Vosk model. The timing is accurate with very minimal correction on a few lines. And the words are very good. Some minor corrections with regards to capitalization. But considering you won't have to type long subtitles, the corrections are acceptable. And i did it all offline without the need to upload personal videos online. Great job Sir. God bless. REQUEST: Sir, please make video on "How to Save ASS Profiles in the Styles Menu" so we won't have to change the default font and font size each time we us ASS Subtitles. Thanks in advance Sir.

This is fantastic, I've been looking for a free solution to this problem in the interest of completely converting to Resolve and off of Premiere Pro. Premiere's auto subtitle generation is fantastic, but everything else about Premiere I hate.

Hey David, thank you for the great video. I was wondering if you had to import an srt/vtt file and a video for editing just the srt/vtt file what software would you use? I usually watch videos at 2x speed while audio recording myself to mark the times of interest. But then when i want to edit the video to find those time i have to multiply all the subtitle times by 2. I can't find a software that could do that for me. Can you help please?

Why does subtitle edit keep saying some parts of my video has no sound?
It definitely has a sound, because other speech to text softwares like otter can detect the sound and convert it just fine.
Problem is otter has a limit to use for free.

Does anyone know of a way to transcribe audio in real time, or better yet translate my voice in English to another for live streaming. Would be cool to have a window that translates what I say to the language used by the viewers. I'll take a look at your other videos and thanks.
