      Perfectly said! Lots of things happen behind the scenes that we wouldn’t ever had the time to share with subscribers or also too personal to share online. It’s a lot of work but worth it. Very rewarding to see what we have done so far, lots of reward from seeing guests enjoying their special vacation time at our stays, and in the end it’s a rewarding way to make a living

    Thanks SO MUCH for the update!!! Beautiful work and Chelsea - love your design eye! You two have done so much hard work and sacrifice and it’s starting to pay off!
    I giggled at working with the kids around - you mentioned in the beginning that your eyes were darting off camera because of your kids - I didn’t even notice! I think I instinctively knew because I lived that with my daughter last year while setting up our STR. Lol.
    So glad to see the progress, bummed about the delays and extra expenses - I think I literally sucked in air through my teeth when Andrés said “doubled” about the septic install!
    The hard work and entrepreneurial lifestyle that you’re modeling for your kids is INVALUABLE.
    Oh, and your kids are ADORABLE! I really enjoyed the “home movie” aspect of watching your kids run around around you (although I do understand how exhausting it is to LIVE that. My son is ASD and ADHD, so energy for daaaaaays and soooo much impulsivity!)
    Just wanted to comment and {hopefully} encourage you.
    I still say you either name them “Uno, Dos, Tres” or Poplar, Spruce, Oak (or whatever trees are native to the area) or play on the “English” part of “English Creek” and name them after British landmarks or cities (Brighton, Cotswold, Cardiff, Leeds, Trowbridge, Bath, Bourton-on-the-Water, Birmingham, Southampton, Seaton, Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth, Gosport, Littlehampton, Pevensey Bay, Folkestone, Sandwich, Canterbury, Herne Bay, Chilham, Margate, etc).
    That might be fun theming to carry on through your tents you’re planning for too!
    Or you could name them things associated with water or creek:
    Like Crick, Creekview, River Valley, Bubbling Brook, Brook, Lake Placid, Brooklet, burn, rill, run, runnel, spring, stream, streamlet, rindle, watercourse, tributary…literally just looked at the thesaurus in my dictionary app for “creek”. Lol. You could even pair those words for “creek” with synonyms for “tranquil”, like peaceful, quiet, calm, balmy, placid, restful, serene, halcyon, murmuring or whispering…
    Okay. I will stop now! Lol. So. Many. Ideas.

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicole! Thank you so much for your amazing and thoughtful comment! You are so sweet to compliment my design eye! I really really appreciate that :)
      Working with kids is so goofy sometimes- you saw Grayson just randomly throw a pipe in the pond and Layla being a little wiggle worm trying to get free non-stop. :) They are so sweet and silly but much harder to watch and play with around a construction zone! I bet energy for days! Grayson never stops either and it is wonderful, but can also be challenging as I am sure it was for you too!!
      We definitely want to do some sort of theme and carry that through the tents. I love all of your ideas- wow- thank you so much for being so helpful!! I really like the idea of playing with the creek and peaceful names! So.Many. Ideas!!
      As always wishing you the best and can't wait to hear more about your glamping journey!! :)

      @@buildfixflip Morning. I can be long winded so:) Did you install a "community" hot tub in barn? If not, I installed a "REDNECK HILLBILLY HOT TUB" for myself. It is a 300 gal. stock tank from Tractor Supply, made by Rubbermaid! Quality, poly resin, not metal and 1 piece molded so pretty much leak proof. I have made 3 videos so far on youtube at my name, to give you some ideas. It is quite large at 69' L x 63" wide. 4 people fit easily. 27" high so water comes to chin when sitting on bottom. (prob. use 275 gl so it won't overflow with 4 people. I added a waterfall w/lights for water return. $70 Intec pool pump with really easy install. Tank has a heavy duty BULK FITTING at bottom for water out. I installed a propane "on deman" hot water shower right next to it so folks can rinse before (and after), and I use it to heat the tub as well. I will be making another video in a few days with add-on lights and the almost finished project!

    • @serenityfarmsprepping2267
      @serenityfarmsprepping2267 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      * I did not use the metal tanks because any "chemicals" used eventually cause RUST (bad, bad:), and the metal tanks are pieced together which can also be bad. Tractor supply also makes an 8' round tank that is Resin and 1-piece and Blue, that folks use as "pools". 600 gal and only 2' high. But that would likely crowd your inside area and I like the look of the 300 gal better when finished. I used 1' thick rough cut lumber to go around tank after insulating it. The 1' fit perfectly under lip of tank. Some use T&G siding. Based on whether framing first, I just toenailed my wood to the deck tank is on

    Nice to see the progress moving along to additional sites. Lovin' the Community barn. I'll be doing something similar with my property. Kids definitely keep the videos interesting. I have 2 of similar age. How much are you estimating with each shed conversion? What kind of tents are you going with?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Curtis. We would love to hear more about your set up, so you have a barn as well? It’s hard to say on how much because right now it’s a mix of 2 sheds, the septic expenses, the electric and water lines throughout the property, the storage/laundry room and the barn. Once we are done we will make a cost analysis per structure so we know exactly how much went where. But right now I would say the shed was $5,500 and all the improvements for 1 shed should be around $10k. As you know we do all the labor ourselves. Are you planning to do it a as a DIY also? Thanks for the comment

    • @curtisfultz4394

      Mostly DYI. Working on infrastructure right now. I have 3 barns and 1 large metal structure considered a tool shed. 3 of 4 already have electricity thankfully. I'd love to pick your brain and share ideas. From my research, you might want to dig that pond a bit deeper so the sun doesn't penetrate the bottom and start pesky algae growth. How many acres are you guys on?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The smoke is not much of an issue. The barn is very open and has a tall roof so the smoke goes up and out. Maybe if it’s a bit windy it can be a little annoying but if the fire is burning nice and hot the smoke goes up and then out through the walls of the barn since the wood on the walls has gaps of about 1”
