      Even more amazing knowing the fact that I have an Airbnb in Mexico (Canadian included, ) guests are dealing for night rates incredibly cheap, without cleaning fees…or the contact another Airbnb host…for a private house, with private pool and backyard, 1/3 of taxes…$60… and I am a superhost…when I listen to all the nice services you guys can offer to your guests, I would loooove to have the financial freedom to do that. Wondering if it’s the location (different country) or if the glamping formula is more forgiving . I am ready to start a glamping, I have the land…already all the solar system…and am wondering if it will be worth it? Any glamping hosts in Jalisco Mexico here?

    Hi guys, I'm in a process of buying a land in southern Utah and build a glamping site on.
    It is so great to follow your movies and learn from your experience.
    I understand you have few sites already, could you share the operational cost percentage out of the revenue? exclude depreciation, loan returns and tax.
    Thank you so much,
    Maybe you come to be my guest when visiting your family in AZ.

      Hi mike thanks for the comment! Yea we agree, once we are more “Airbnb famous” we will set that minimum so we don’t have so much turnover

    Hello, I love you honest and transparent details. One question. Do you guys think glamping biz will work with property manager on site? Will the numbers work? Love to get your thoughts on it. Thanks

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rajesh. I think to have a property manager on site you would need to have a truly massive operation. Paying somebody a full time salary would eat to much into your profits and I wouldn’t see us following that path. But a good team of cleaners and handy man is definitely needed. What is your question specifically about? Do you have plans to create a large glamping business?
      I think with the help of all the tools that Airbnb offers, and third party software to supplement communications and scheduling with your team would be the best property management solution.

    Can you do a video on zoning issues/process you dealt with while setting up your business?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely! Our county doesn't have nearly the hoops to jump through like other cities/counties luckily! But it is all about phrasing things correctly and asking the right questions! So we will brainstorm the process we did and make the video!

    Are you installing one larger septic system to support your future plans, or are you planning to install a septic for each glamping site?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We installed a larger septic to accommodate more stays so we can build more and faster! Thank you for such a great question!

    Any reason why not do a compost toilet instead of septic?

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have definitely done some research on that… like quite a bit. The thought of being ready to go fast sounds good and even though they are expensive is still much cheaper than an entire septic system. The issue for us is in the systems that we want to build to expand this into a bigger business and setting up “bulletproof” systems to run the business. No cleaning staff would be happy to clean a composting toilet, guests don’t care to understand how it works so they don’t use it properly, and it’s a turn off for some guests who are looking for an elevated unique stay.
      Those are our reasons. If we were fully off grid then I would consider it. Or if we had our own diy rv for personal use and we wanted to make it easy, we can learn how to use it properly and keep it from being a mess.
      I am guessing you are looking into composing toilets for your units? Thanks for the comment

    VRBO is a great partner. Don’t discount them.

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t disagree with that they are a bad company or a bad partner for every one, but after three months the clientele we have gotten from Vrbo has been nearly zero and have caused problems in our space. Not sure why but for our set up maybe it isn’t the right fit. Or maybe it’s been a time of bad luck with them. We aren’t sure. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Any suggestions on what we should do differently?

  • @mathusvaiaoga9787
    @mathusvaiaoga9787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Man y’all are some VRBO haters. Lol...

    • @buildfixflip
      @buildfixflip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We may be changing our tune a little bit now a few months later and becoming more neutral or favorable to Vrbo. Still Airbnb is where majority of our guests come from and where we prefer but Vrbo is getting better slowly for us. We hope Vrbo works better for others, it just hasn’t worked out for us very well. And we hope that changes!! 🤭
