    If you have a clean bathtub I just do it in there. Low heat water, set it on floor of bath and use my showered head to soak. Rub in hand soap with water off then rinse it with the lukewarm water. Press between toweled and then flip and do it again. Usually overnight gets it dry enough.

    I find that a flat shower base works the best. You can make the water warm to wash and then rinse off all while keeping it on a flat surface and have running water to wash everything away as you're cleaning

    great video. only thing i will say is be careful with hand soaps. some have moisturizers that leave that almost slimy texture on your hands after use and that is not good for mousepads. it gets stuck in the pad. i had this happen with my hien as the moisturizers in the hand soap would not come out of the pad.
    i now use dish soap and have not had this issue on any of my other artisans so keep that in mind when deciding what soap to use. i would say your safest bet is dish soap as they don’t typically have moisturizers in them. i use dawn and it works perfectly fine

    • @makzwell
      @makzwell 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Holy shit, this comment woulda been AMAZING about 6 months ago when I learned all these things from trial and error, so thank you for at least posting it for others. Few other things I've learned is:
      -Dawn is very good and gentle, but any dish soap should be good as long as it isn't "ANTI-GREASE" or "2X STRONGER" or stuff like that. Less is more, make sure there's enough to clean the whole mousepad, but too much will just make the rinsing take WAYYYYYYY longer.
      -Running water > still water for rinsing, soaking is not ideal at all for the same reason as washing clothes, it doesn't clean all the way through.
      -Rinsing is the most important step as well as not using too much soap. Spend more time than you think you have to rinsing, an extra 5-10 minutes of rinsing can save you a day of re-cleaning and therefore redrying.

  • @Korkonakios

    I totally disagree with your method as you do remove some of the dirt but there are soap remains on every f pad man. Flat shower base always works best. Semi-hot water for all pads, massaging them with soap and let them soak for 10-15 mins without rinsing them over. Then just use the shower's water gun with cool water and keep on hitting the mousepad till all the soap is off.

    I don't think using hand soap is a good idea. Most hand soaps have moisturizers/ oils in them which is gonna get in the cloth and it could potentially change the feel of the pad and ruin it.
    Use dish soap instead (It's what SteelSeries themselves recommends too)
