I bought an artisan (zero) mousepad because of their build quality rather than the high price tag or because TenZ uses it. GS-R, QcK, HyperX etc tend to wear out at around the 3 months mark because their coating isnt meant to be durable long term, especially with heavy daily use, turning them into mudpads, which doesnt feel good at all.
Hien Pro tip: there's a break-in period of about a couple months before the "rough" texture becomes a little bit smoother. You're also gonna have to get used to the low initial friction for microadjustment and it's gonna take a week. I have a Hein Soft in Wine Red as well. It's a good pad overall. Enjoy.

@@Divinity_vAafter trying every artisan mousepad and the lgg Saturn and Saturn pro, I've gotta say the Hien still remains my favorite with the zero close behind even for tac shooters. The Saturn feels a bit too firm for me, and the saturn pro is too slow so the zero will always be a great choice.

@@brandondant6262 Yes, and 100% worth it. My aim has never been better. Yesterday had plenty of amazing games like 39-1 in MW2. Which was not happening with the ICE mouse pad. Also the hein feels like it will last for years. I bought it on Amazon for a little extra and it showed up within a few days. Shipped out of Tennessee I believe.

Artisan Mousepads are made for a specific reason, the same reason why csgo pros (and cs2 pros) still live by Zowie; comfort and ease of use.
The Zowie mice are made in every shape you could want in a mice, and this goes for these pads. They are in every type of fabric, softness and hardness you can think of.
There's also build quality as well, but what people don't seem to understand is that these should only be bought after you've attained a certain amount of skill. You don't need to, nor should you try to make your setup fit you personally according to your playstyle, if you haven't even gotten that playstyle yet.
You can't setup your build to your strengths if you don't know what your strengths are.

Static friction is what he is referring to when he states it takes not effort to move it from a stand still. He then claims that the stopping power is still manageable which means there is somewhat a nice dynamic friction or friction of the mouse in motion.

Is xy axis not the problem? Wanna upgrade my fury S, Otsu is way too fast but zero is too slow. So my next opinion is hien but I worry about that. And if you've ever used otsu can i have your impression?

idk if your still looking into this but the hien is actually faster than the otsu. i have both pads and they arent to different when it comes to speed theres just slightly more control on the otsu and it also doesnt have the different glide speeds on the x and y axis like the hien does
