They're under an "organized carding attack" apparently so they've disabled shipping for a lot of locations temporarily. It should be resolved soon. Also, for the part where it lists a bunch of countries when you click proceed to checkout, you can just ignore that. All they're saying is that a lot of people from those countries make mistakes in their addresses and that they should double check.

I'm going to do full writeups for both (Type-99 first) but I'm not sure if I'll make videos about them. Of course, if that's something you want to see, I'll consider it.
I have a few questions about the check out: 1) Should i put everything in english? (Probably yes, but it doesn't hurt to ask). 2) If my address was 1234 Jane St. on the 5th floor, should i write "Apt 5, 1234" in that box? (It's probably fine even if i put just the number of my address in that box, since you also have to fill in your name, so they could pretty easily find the right doorbell to ring from that, but i though i'd ask anyway).
1) First, make sure that you're on the English version of the website where everything is in English (it shouldn't be in Japanese or asking for things like prefecture - if that is the case, you are on the wrong version of the website and should see 0:46 for more details). You should input all of your shipping information in the proper (native) language for the Country, so if you're in the USA where English is the primary language used, then you would input all of your information in English 2) If the floor number is the closest indicator for your apartment address, then yes, you should be able to input it like that. As far as I'm aware, you would typically expect the room number to be used instead of the floor number though, so keep that in mind (and if you do use the room number, you wouldn't use the floor number) Hope that helps. I entered my whole street address on the Street line (ex. 1234 Street Rd) instead of putting the house number on the house number line (I left that blank, didn't fully read it, thought it was just for apartment/condo unit numbers and such, my bad) 2. Missing the street number is the only real mistake you made, but it's not a huge deal I guess. Artisan will contact you if it's not something that they can correct, but there's a decent chance that you'll be fine. As for the PayPal part, it's fine to use PayPal. A 15min buyers guide, a designated python script to query the availability of products, and a discord community. All for a Japanese vendor that sells plain mousepads lol... Seems like the juice must be worth the squeeze eh?
Yeah, I'd say so. If you're looking for a good mousepad, ARTISAN mousepads are definitely up there for ones that you should consider. If you're curious about ARTISAN: There's no denying that there are many companies that have great mousepads... but over the past few years, a large % of those companies have just been trying to create their own "versions" (whether they're alternatives or clones) of ARTISAN products or took inspiration from the multi-hardness system that ARTISAN established. A lot of people would consider ARTISAN to be the "gold standard" as well. This really just goes to show that ARTISAN has made a very significant impact on the enthusiast mousepad space as a whole. Also, since ARTISAN is a very consumer-oriented company, they actually like that there's a lot of competition and encourage it since it only serves to benefit the end consumer. Their eyes aren't only set on making profit (for example, they lost a lot of money producing the Shidenkai V1 but only continued production for as long as they did because of how many fans there were) and you could consider them to be true innovators in the space. In other words, they're quite well-respected in the community for a reason and have many fans because of that.
They've been around for 16 years now as ARTISAN, but yeah the site is quite bad. They're working on a new one as we speak and it'll be very modern though.

@@KoffeeLee88 Yeah, it's a bug with the website that's been a thing for a few weeks now. You can only pay through PayPal but don't need a PayPal account to do it.
I have a 5 digit zipcode but the website keeps giving me errors.
Could you describe the issue you're having in more detail?
If I want to carry the mousepad when I travel, can't I fold it? If so, how should I carry it?
@@aut0matrick Definitely don't fold it as you will almost certainly damage it. You can either use the original flat box or carefully roll it up (not too tightly) with the surface side facing outwards and put it into a tube or something similar.
@@Styllarr I think I'll put it in a tube because I don't have the original box. I'll try, as you suggested, to place it inside without applying pressure so that it sits loosely. That should be okay, right?
All my information is correct but it keeps on saying "We’re sorry, we can’t complete your payment at this time. Please try again later." i dont know what to do. Im shipping to michigan, us from canada. maybe its the phone number or sum shi?? theres no way that effects it tho right.
It's an issue on their end. See if you can try using a different payment method.
@@Styllarr alright I’ll try, thanks for the reply!
i’m still confused on the address part lol
Which part in particular?
i live in a apartment complex that has letters instead of numbers so i’m just not sure in what to put
@@xqmars4157 Could you provide an example format? You should just be able to substitute the numbers for letters if that's the case anyways.
Also, if there are issues with your address, ARTISAN will email you and let you know so nothing to really worry about.
When I proceeded to checkout, it said, "We are sorry, but we are unable to ship items." and if I click again, "Cart is empty" pops up even though the mousepad is still in stock. Do you know what happened to their website?
They're under an "organized carding attack" apparently so they've disabled shipping for a lot of locations temporarily.
It should be resolved soon.
@@Styllarr Thanks for the information! I've been reading your Type99 review and wanna get one as well :D
@@Styllarr Thx for the info I was having the same problem. Do you have an estimate for when it will be resolved?
glad someone else asked this was googling trying to figure out why i couldn't order my zero
@@Rodie- It should be within the next few weeks when they release the new website.
I dont have an option to select my country new zealand
Then you are on the wrong version of the website. Please make sure you are on the overseas version. It's addressed near the start of the video.
when i went to pay and clicked check out it said An error occurred, please try again.
A bit late, but it's an issue on their end. See if you can try using a different payment method.
@@Styllarr for me i just ended up clicking the paypal one and it let me pay smoothly, looks like theyve fixed that problem.
@@Styllarr question though how do i track my package?
@@Trendzfv They'll send you a tracking number once they have shipped your package. It'll take 1-2 weeks for them to ship it out and then
When will the type 99 be available TT
It's looking like it'll be released next month. There is still a chance that it comes out end of this month though.
Why do you live in Canada, should I select this as well?
Could you please elaborate?
@Styllarr I'm not from Canada, should I select Canada as the country as well? Or maybe move to Canada to get the mousepads?
@voidvoid5151 You should select the country you live in or want to ship to.

if my country isnt seperated in states what do i do lol i cant order
@@hoarka3052 You should have a state equivalent, so just input that instead. If you aren't sure what it would be, the DHL tool is there and I explain how to use it in the video.
@@Styllarr k, ty
my country doesnt show up. sad
What country are you trying to ship to if you don't mind me asking?
@@Styllarr Philippines :(
@@CorleoneLarrazabal ARTISAN does not ship to the Philippines, but they do have an official vendor there.
HobbyDynamics: www.hobbydynamics.ph/collections/mousepad?filter.p.product_type=Mouse+Pad&filter.p.vendor=Artisan
HobbyDynamics on Lazada: www.lazada.com.ph/shop/hobby-dynamics
@@Styllarr They sell them for decent prices, the problem is my desired artisan from that vendor is always sold out!
So I jumped ahead and paid with the PayPal button instead of entering my card info. Payment went through and I still got the email. So hopefully all is fine. How do I track shipping tho?
Yeah, the PayPal button does work, but it's inconsistent so that's why I recommend just avoiding it. Also everything will indeed be fine since you got the confirmation email.
As for shipping, due to the recent Type-99 release, it'll take around 3-5 weeks to ship out your order and subsequently receive your tracking number. They'll just email you again when they do ship it out and provide the tracking number there.
Did you receive your mousepad?
@@zshxrty251 I would imagine they did a while ago
@@Styllarr I ordered from Amazon because it wouldn’t allow me to select debit.
@@zshxrty251 I've always been able to use my debit card by entering my card information directly into the website.
Great video! I was looking and doing some research regarding replacing my QCK heavy. The NINJA FX TYPE-99 "X/SOFT" seems like its exactly what I'm looking for, I might just need to keep refreshing the shop every day till its in stock though, if it ever will be back in stock.. 😅
Thanks! The Type-99 should be a good replacement if your QcK has accumulated a decent amount of wear (say 6-12+ months of use).
It has been restocking pretty frequently, but it tends to sell out quickly.
how much is 10 thousand yen to usd?
You can google this
try typing that into google
I didnt get a email what do i do?

jeez they need a new front end developer
@@dareedox they have someone working on a new site right now and it's going to be an actual functional website.
they really need to improve their website.
@@yxon1ph They've been working on a new one. I actually offered to help fix up the current website (I already found some of the causes for some issues so it wouldn't more than like half a day for me to fix them), but they told me they just want to forget about the current website because the new one is coming out very soon.
first🤓
A 15min buyers guide, a designated python script to query the availability of products, and a discord community.
All for a Japanese vendor that sells plain mousepads lol...
Seems like the juice must be worth the squeeze eh?
Yeah, I'd say so. If you're looking for a good mousepad, ARTISAN mousepads are definitely up there for ones that you should consider.
If you're curious about ARTISAN:
There's no denying that there are many companies that have great mousepads... but over the past few years, a large % of those companies have just been trying to create their own "versions" (whether they're alternatives or clones) of ARTISAN products or took inspiration from the multi-hardness system that ARTISAN established.
How company that's in the business for 10 years can have such godawful webisite?
They've been around for 16 years now as ARTISAN, but yeah the site is quite bad. They're working on a new one as we speak and it'll be very modern though.
Great Artisan, terrible web developer
@@pietropinzani4272 The website was made by the founder lol. They do have a new website coming out soon made by someone that actually knows what they're doing and it should look very modern.
