2014 SGS put the BAM stick 4.5” zombie Wife and I road out to York Pennsylvania on 83 and it killed my ears and I couldn’t even hear my radio. Long story short I had to order the mediums and I am super thrilled with the sound. The guys at Tab are awesome and the quality and backing up of their product is the best I’ve ever experienced.
I used the stock pipes....took a doorknob hole saw....grind the baffle weld out.....stuck a cheater bar in the other end....took a mini maul and knocked the baffle out..voila...straight pipes.....loud n proud. 🤠

I made a huge mistake in buying 4" Rinehart slip-ons. They look great and sound "just okay" at idle but THAT IS IT. roll on the throttle and it's almost embarrassing 😳. I'm trying to decide on TAB 50 cal but not sure if ot comes with removable baffles like the S&S Mk-45's do. My ultimate plan for my '23 Ultra Limited is a 2 into 1 probably Krome Werks and leave the left side as a ghost.
Tabs with zombie baffles, you won’t need to take anything out they sound perfect especially when you get rid of the stock head pipe. The sizes all sound the same so it’s just you preference on looks.

@ProfessionalMonkey I can't get rid of the stock head pipe until March 2026 when the factory warranty is done with. It would have to be a progressive step by step achievement. I hope I can still get a tuner since I'm in Northern Commy California.
I like how the TABs beefed up the rumble along with giving the exhaust some crackle. My RG will probably end up with V&H Power Duals exhaust and a set of TABs as part of my Stage II upgrade project for that bike.

I saw a video of yours about your experience with Indian and after long hard thinking I bought a 2022 Harley Davidson Road King and put Tab Performance Zombie Baffles on it and I love my bike and the sound.

Thanks for the 2-1-2 vs 2 into 2 explanation. I’ve got a 2020 Road Glide that I put S&S MK45 slip ons on (on the stock head pipe) and will be doing a header this winter. I’m in the process of looking for a header and finding they all don’t have one big pipe and one small pipe. Really wanting to ditch that catalytic converter. Of course I’ll be doing an air cleaner and tune as well.
Check out Tabs headpipe. It uses the stock crossover and shields so it’s only like $399. It eliminates the cat and it’s really well made. It’s what we run on the wife’s CVO
As a matter of fact, if you go back in the history you can find the video where she installs the full system on her bike. It will work great with your S&S mufflers also.
🛑🛑 I put on a set of S&S Power Tuned Duel Header, with Rinehart 4” mufflers, on my CVO Ultra Limited. The sound is very “throatey” and really roars when you jump on it. I’ll keep the Rineharts, as I just dropped a pile of money into my Rockford Fosgate upgrade; as I really like to hear my music than my exhaust 😂👍
What he showed up with looks like v&h torquer 450's. I'm running them on my 20 SGS with the v&h power dual headers. I like em, but i was shooting for moderate sound due to leaving my house at 3am every morning.
The ones you removed are called the Vance & Hines Touquer slip-ons. I have them on my 2021 Road Glide Special 114ci and not happy either. Want to get these but, want to make sure they are good before purchasing them. This will be my 3rd set of slip-ons for this bike.
They do make the Bam sticks and the 50 cals. 2 different styles. I goth the Bam sticks with the 2.5 in louvered baffles. because I like loud but not crazy loud. I was a little worried when i first installed them that they were going to be two quite. But after break in they are perfect. Not obnoxiously loud on start up so my neighbors won't hate me as much as they did with the true duals i had on the 07 street glide. but when you accelerate they come to life and have a solid crack. And just the right amount of decel pop and rumble to make my soul happy. You also don' that that really loud drone when cruising at 80mph on the freeways. I chose Tab after my Pythons broke with only roughly 5,000 miles on them. I was partial to the look of those but the Bam sticks sound much better and I think the bike performs better. Considering buying there head pipe and then doing an intake as well over the cold midwestern winter, that's quickly approaching.

22 HDRGS I put on the 4.5 BAM w Zombie baffles and Z rings after buying the bike. The stocks were way too quiet. The sound and performance are so much better now. I thought about going with the 50cal but glad I went with the 4.5's. The Z rings do give it a better sound that we all love plus I feel a slight boost in performance. It could be wishful but it feels better. -DrJ

Hi! As long as you got the zombie baffles it will sound the same. His bike doesn't have a tune, cam or anything, so you should get exactly the same sound from a 22 Street Glide. You're gonna love them!

With the stock special rear end just rotating on the head pipe will get you inline enough. If you want them of course you can, just not really necessary.
I love the sound of Tab. I have 4” with 2.5 louvered baffle on my Yamaha. The down side, the left one had to be shimmed out 1/2” to line up with the bag. This isn’t a one off issue either, I’ve checked forums and it’s like that for all Yamahas. Great look and sound but get your brackets better.
My Harley Electra Glide Ultra has a Vance & Hines complete exhaust that has an X pipe just after the head pipes! I think that sounds great, but I’m curious as to what you think of that type or if you’re familiar with that exhaust system?!
My other bike is an '06 deluxe and i have vance and hine long shots exhaust. My new bike is a '23 RGS, i bought the 50cal slip ons and it just does not seem as loud as my vance and hines. Is that because the 50cals are only slip ons? Ive heard they get louder with time?

Hey Chris, I only have experience with the S&S Sidewinder 2-1. I really like it. It's about as good as you are going to get for performance. Displacement is a good place to you. Your bike is a stage 4 but a 103? A stage 4 should be a 110 because stage 3 is bigger 110 cylinders. Depending on what it is I would say it's time to go aftermarket. S&S makes badass top end/cam kits. You can get some crazy numbers out of a twin cam.
I just have an 06 TC 88 E-glide that I bought after my 1st tour in Iraq and I don't think those .50 cals would fit. They do sound great though. Is the .50 cal feed tray under the saddle bags? If given a choice, I would still take an M2 .50 cal over an M8 .50 cal, lol!! Have a great day!!

I have a question for you Pro Monkey! My 2018 Road King M8 so same deal with one side bigger then the other exhaust. Now I got Slip-ons from my buddies Twin Cam that he was replacing and got an adapter to reduce the big side to same size as the smaller one and installed them on the M8. Thoughts on what that might be doing as far as performance? Doubt it would hurt the engine but I am no professional. For those that ask why not just install the correct slip-ons for the M8, I got them for more than half the price of the new ones and figured I could make it work. However I'm still not happy with the sound of it. Anyway thanks for any thoughts or suggestions... Also I tried to reach out to AdvanBlack to ask them if they make or are in the works to produce a stretch tank for Road Kings and have not gotten a response. By any chance would you know anything about this since you are tight with the company? Thanks Again!
Sounds MUCH better than the V&H, and looks much better! Now throw a S&S 475 cam or a Red Shift 468 on, and a Thundermax tuner, and he’ll sound like a NASCAR all over town along with that low to mid torque he’ll enjoy!

it would be a bit louder, but with no back pressure you would loose performance. if your looking for loud and performance go with a 2 into 1 straight pipe and get a dyno tune.

Never been a fan of slip on's. I prefer a tuned exhaust system but those look & sound great.

If you bust out the CAT how much does it change the sound?
it would be a bit louder, but with no back pressure you would loose performance. if your looking for loud and performance go with a 2 into 1 straight pipe and get a dyno tune.

Why not take the pipe apart pull the glass wrap off the baffles put the baffles back in and reassemble that will give you the louder sound.
