Great video. I have watched a lot of exhaust vids, but I really do like the sound of the medium baffles, I like how you say “whatever you do do not take it to the shop”… wrench it man!
From the UK. I first used Tab pipes with the plug n play mapping system on my 2005 V Rod. That was 15 years ago. Even spoke to the guys there for guidance. Great company and couldn't fault the products.
I purchased the 4.5” BAM Sticks with the Zombie Baffles at Daytona and absolutely love them. I have had all different types of exhaust from Chrome-works to D&D. Love the Zombies best exhaust ever
I put a set of tab performance bam sticks with the zombie baffles on my 06 e glide sounds amazing after 4 years and the quality is better than any other system I've used
Great video. I like the look of the 50 cal and how it fills to hole. While it is hard to really hear the sound on my cheep ear phones, I think I’m partial to the medium baffles over the zombies. They have a deep mellow rumble. After you are done sampling products, what do you do with them? Do you sell them to your subscribers? Great information. Thanks.
I agree on the mediums and yeah videos just don't do it justice to be honest but I try...We usually save them to be honest with you because we are always buying bikes and needing parts so we just roll them until we need them on something else. I have sold some stuff in the past though...just depends on the part really.
Thank you sir! Much appreciated! And yes im diggin them for sure...glad I got the straight tips based off your pics...they look way better with the dominator fender!
Same baffles, the extra 1/2in is just cosmetic. When I have to start guessing and grinding the brain just to fit a slip on, I'm out. The Human Animal. They designed a neat stretch bag with cut outs that took things over. NOW it has to be perfected and filled in. I'm going 4.5 w/Zombies. I also ride a RK Special, so I have concerns about the size on a bike that sits lower to begin with. Great video.
this bike had the 4.5's from tab for a couple of years before I put these on...youre not going to scrape your exhaust...ever. I run super low in the rear with air rider, just enough to stay off the tire and it has never came close to scraping...youll scrape your baords before you scrape exhaust..even 5 inch
haha man.,.,..they are pretty bad ass to be honest...I had the 4.5s too as you seen. Ill roll these 4.5s over until we need them on another build though..they are still nice pipes
Excellent video!! I have a 2011 Ultra Limited with dominator fender and 4.5 stretched old style bags all from Advanblack. I measured my opening and was at 6 inches across so I pulled the trigger when the 50 Cal was released back in May for my year model. Fit was great but I did use the Advanblack adjustment bracket just to be safe and not rattle my OCD!!
Yes.....the dominator fender seems to be the better fit...the extended fender will take some serious shimming on the bags ...but hell..welcome to the world of customizing your bike lol
The medium baffles actually sound better. That Zombie baffle is a little tinny and, obnoxiously loud. Great video and excellent information as always Steve. 👍
Man! Those Tab 50 cals sound mean. Right now I’m running a V&H 2 into 1 pro-pipe. If i switch to V&H power duals, would those 50 cal mufflers work with the headers? Thanks! Great video!
yes the slip ons will work with any header system as long as they are for the year you order...the M8's are slightly different than the 16 and older twin cams
What would happen if you were to put on a light layer of wadding on the zombie baffle? Not as thick as the medium baffle but something like a single layer; would that make it slightly not as loud as a straight zombie baffle? Just thinking out loud to see if there could be options. Thanks for the video Steve.
After experimenting with that myself I found that it does nothing in the form of sound...the zombie baffle is really not a baffle at all...its a straight pipe...in order for the wadding to have some sort of effect on sound it would need louvers to allow the air to get to the batting...I also asked tab and they got the same results.
@ SIK Baggers Hey bud great videos! If you had a choice of the 45 or 50's what would you run now that you have had both? I'll be putting them on Vance and Hines power duals so I know it's gonna be different...but how big is the difference between the 45s and 50s sound wise!? Thanks Brother will be looking forward to hearing back from you!
Looks good. Side note/question, would your tank cover look good against another after market side cover? I’m running bad dad but I like how your tank cover bolts on around the stock tank and the center dash fits nicely, thanks!
Hey Steve, I have the full Tab Preformance Set Up. 2 To 2 header into 50cal's with Zombie Baffles and love them. I know I watched a older video but I am going now to see if you have a comparison of the old to new Zombie Rings! Thanks for doing what you're doing here Brother!
I was really hoping that tge 50 cals were gunna work with the the old style of stretched bags and the fender extension. I'm assuming I have the first style. I got em in 2018 when Advan Black first started to be seen. But, I guess 4.5s with zombie baffles is what it will be. They still sound great. Thanks for all the kick ass videos.
Great video! Question for you; I’ve got a Screamin Eagle torque cam in my bike and am having Tabs 2-2 header added. Thinking bout running the louvered baffles. Should I have a decent amount of volume with that setup?
absolutely the header is half the overall sound experience...thats what im running on this bike...TAB headers, 50 cals and currently the zombies...may swithc them back to mediums though..I already have one bike with a side pipe and its obnoxious ...I need a break from the loud sometimes lol
Huge pipes. Does installing these require a remap? I want some 4" Vance and Hines that I had on my other 103. They sounded perfect. I did not have to remap with those until I changed the air cleaner.
Are these louder than the 4.5” or does the diameter not play a part in the sound? I’m going zombie and just want to know which diameter to choose for my 2024 street glide.
Do you think dominator fender with cvo style bags will give me better clearance for the 50 cals? Also, I just watched another video that made me think to ask..... is your orange bike lowered in this video?
It may give you a little more room but the bags still go down next to the exhaust..just not as far. And yes..I have air ride front and rear on this bike and the front fairing has been lowered 2 inches.
unfortunately no they wont...its more the fender extension that is going to give you issues...the bags can be shimmed out a tad if needed but there is no adjusting that extension..
I just grab the end of the muffler and make a circular motion to loosen the clamp area where the muffler fits over the header pipe. Not to crazy…. Just enough to get it to loosen. Using a tool to squeeze, and trist the muffler seems like a marked up finish waiting to happen.
Great video! I have a 21 road glide and I put tab 4.5 with zombies. Sounds awesome, but if I want to tone it down just a little I've heard of switching one of the baffles to a 2.5 medium baffle. Which side do you switch? Or does it matter? The right side has a majority of the exhaust coming out . Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks again
I've really never seen anyone switch out one baffle...I run the mediums in both pipes...the zombies are pretty loud for me to be honest. Thats personal preference though.
@@sikbaggers Thanks. I did talk to one of the guys at Tab. He said if you switch one baffle to do the right side. I did that and it worked out great. Sounds much better now and improved back pressure. I agree with you,, I like the deeper tone to the medium baffle.
Are those extended rear fenders? And how many inches are the hardbags extended? I'm just trying to get an idea if these 50 cals will fit my setup. I have an advanblack rear facia and 5" extended hardbags
its all advanblack on this bike...and all 5 inch bags are the same...I covered all of this in the video...the only way it will fit is either stock oem facia and bags, cvo bags and stock facia or dominator fender and stretched bags
great video! I've seen professional monkey talk about these a lot and was thinking about getting them but at this point I think I'm going to stick with my V&H destroyer 450's, I love the sound at idle(I also pulled out the packing around the baffles for a lower rumble) and it's loud enough, but for me I no longer want it too loud, now that I have a stereo I want to be able to hear it! once again thank you for a great video!
Thanks for checking out the video! and yeah if you already have slip ons that you like no reason to change them..I love the TABS but I certainly understand.
I want to buy the .50 Cal slip on’s for my 2020 Street Glide Special. I currently have the dominator rear fender with stock saddlebags. Do you know if this will fit?
It will fit as long as you are running the Dominator however the dominator is made for the 4.5 inch bags and will 2 inches longer than the HD stretched bags, so keep that in mind.
Any new updates regarding 50 cals with advan black fitment? I have 50 cals, and would really like the fender and bags from advan but REALLY don't want fitment issues or rideability reduction. Will they fit with dominator fender and cvo style bags and also, will the cvo bags line up well with the dominator fender?
No new updates on the parts, they are the same..If you want to run them its the same in the video,..youll need the dominator fender if you plan on running any stretched bags, weather its the cvo style or the 4.5 inch style bags. The dominator fender was made for the 4.5 inch bags and will be longer than the cvo style bags. The cvo bags only drop about 3 inches..where as the fender is about 5...technically you can run it like that but itll be longer than the bags.

yeah there isnt too many things back there that can rattle and your on the right track I think checking those bag rails and exhasut brackets. I hope you get it lined out!
@@sikbaggers Good news, I found the fly in the ointment rattling noise coming from my left rear area and just as I suspected. The exhaust hanger at the rear of the bag support has a rubber bushing that must have shrunk somehow causing the bracket to move up and down just slightly to vibrate. I did a temporary fix by jamming a screw between the bracket and the rubber bushing to shim it up.
No motorcycle needs a retune when you're only changing the slip ons. If you change the intake or change the header and open it up then you need a retuneyour safe with the slip ons though
IMHO I think the 5" pipe has sort of exceeded the point of good looks and functionality. I like the 4.5"s for appearance and the medium baffles for sound. Man I can't imagine riding for a few hours with the Zombie baffles.
Man I have rode 13 hours from my house to Daytona with the Zombies and there are perfect. They are not that loud as you would think on the highway while riding. The noise is behind you.
??When you change out baffles looks like Medium baffles are the same as the Zombie Baffles, Medium have insulation, also looks like it is removable...that being said couldn't you just have the Medium and Remove for Zombie...If you needed to quite down a bjt??
My video covering the TAB 4.5 install shows the TAB Headers I installed. Sorry I forgot to mention it in this video..but the video is linked at the start of this one.
We arent making one like that but there are other options you can choose from..just changing the plate to a curved lay down plate will drastically improve the looks of that cvo fender.

The exhaust hanger at the rear of the bag support has a rubber bushing that must have shrunk somehow causing the bracket to move up and down just slightly to vibrate.
I did a temporary fix by jamming a screw between the bracket and the rubber bushing to shim it up.
I bought mine and they didnt come with hardware. They use the reverse mounting direction from the oem pipes, what size/length are the mounting bolts?
I dont understand what you mean by reverse mounting direction? It uses the same top side bracket and bolts as the OEM.
I have the 4.5 with zombies. Is there a huge sound difference between the 4.5 zombies and the 50 cal zombies?
I dont know if I would call it HUGE...it is definitely different ...to me, its a more hollow sound but way louder...if that makes any sense.
I have a 2022 road glide standard. Does the engine need any kind of retuning?
No motorcycle needs a retune when you're only changing the slip ons. If you change the intake or change the header and open it up then you need a retuneyour safe with the slip ons though
What brand of lift table do you have or recommend? Do you have a video on it?
I dont have a video but this one is a Titan XL..most of the 1500 pound lifts are the same ....and there are several on the market.
Very nice bike and detailed video!!
Thank you sir! Much appreciated.
Have you ever had an installed on tab slip ons zombies on a trike with M8? 4 1/2 inch?
I sure havent im sorry...I dont see that they make a M8 version for the trike that is 4.5....I do see 4" though...might give them a call.
Do you have to tune the bike when you put on slip on exhaust?
no not if its just slip ons, you are not changing the air flow in or out of the bike just the exhaust note
I have the 4.5 advan black stretched bags on my 20 road glide. Is it normal for them to wobble in and out?
no it is not normal..they should be sitting directly on the bag rail on the 2 rubber cushions on the bottom of the bags
Will they fit the cvo style tapered bags? And cvo fender?
yes they will fit
IMHO I think the 5" pipe has sort of exceeded the point of good looks and functionality. I like the 4.5"s for appearance and the medium baffles for sound. Man I can't imagine riding for a few hours with the Zombie baffles.
Man I have rode 13 hours from my house to Daytona with the Zombies and there are perfect. They are not that loud as you would think on the highway while riding. The noise is behind you.
Yeah its really not that bad at high way speeds ...its for sure its loudest while slammin gears...outside of that its pretty tame
Great video. If you said what kind of exhaust headers you're runnin' with those: I missed it.
Sorry about that, slipped my mind on this one...In the video I linked to where I did the 4.5s from TAB..I also installed the TAB headers
@@sikbaggers Thanks!!
All your videos are very informative, and I have enjoyed them for a long time.
@@heybruh3274 Thanks
??When you change out baffles looks like Medium baffles are the same as the Zombie Baffles, Medium have insulation, also looks like it is removable...that being said couldn't you just have the Medium and Remove for Zombie...If you needed to quite down a bjt??
No, the mediums with the wrap have louvers all the way down the pipe and wrap...the zombies have no louvers..pretty much a straight pipe
Are these sound clips with the stock headers and cam?
The bike has TAB Headers and stock cam
@@sikbaggers Thanks.Sounds great
I love it
thanks for checking it out!
Love it sounds good with the Zombies
I agree...but still very torn between those and the mediums...both have a very unique sound for sure
Are you running stock head pipes?
My video covering the TAB 4.5 install shows the TAB Headers I installed. Sorry I forgot to mention it in this video..but the video is linked at the start of this one.
Can you make a cvo style fender (not stretched as much as dominator) but that has the flush liscense plate like the dominator? Please?
We arent making one like that but there are other options you can choose from..just changing the plate to a curved lay down plate will drastically improve the looks of that cvo fender.
@@sikbaggers how about the license plate light? If removed is there a big square hole in the fender or would it be able to be covered up with a lighted license plate mount of some kind?
@@GK-bh1tp check this out from CD...its a direct replacement for the black plastic one you have now...cleans up the rear end nicely www.customdynamics.com/illuminated-cvo-license-plate-frame
@@sikbaggers thank you!
Daaaayyyyyuuuummmmm....that sounds awesome!
Yes sir..they are sick! Im still rocking these 50 cals on the RG...love them!
I should’ve got Tabs instead of Kromeworks🤦🏾♂️
Probably I got they are great I’m a zombie though
Yeah ive installed some of those kromeworks on customers bikes..still kinda on the fence about those...decent for ballin on a budget pipes just not sure of the longevity of them.
Disappointed now , the 50 cals won't fit in between my fender and extension.
yeah, no way to squeeze them in
Medium 👍👍👍
agreed! Its the mediums for me.
You can put in “Z” rings from Tab. It will provide more back pressure, cleaner look inside the exhaust, and allow the exhaust tip to stick out further.
Yes the inserts will definitely help with back pressure for sure if you need it ...very cool way of making a newer style old school lolipop
Good video... :-)
thank you Richard!
Zombies FTW!
Love em!
I know this is an exhaust video but the more I see the ass of that bike I can't wait for mine to come in
Hey john thanks for chekcing it out man...and yes..love the advan dominator and bags look...gets lots of compliments for sure
Hahaha....great opener ! 👍👍
Sorry for the late reply, just got back from Sturgis...but thank you for checking it out!
What would cause brake light in your 2008 street glide not to work but when you step on the break the light will come on turn signal will come on but the running lights on the left side will not y
💥🤘
thank you denis!
The original baffle sounded way better.. It almost had a lawnmower with bad exhaust vibe when u first started it up with the zombie baffle.
Agreed..I took out the zombies and installed the Mediums and have been running them since I shot this video.
Thanks for responding. I've been watching u for quite a while now and thats pretty cool of you to do.
@@tunnelvision2day You're very welcome..I try to respond to all comments...I get behind sometimes but I catch up when I can. Be safe!!
Unfortunately advanblack doesn't make anything for us people who can't by a new bike every 2 years
the majority of advanblack parts are made for models 09 and newer with the exception of some parts fitting pre 08 down to 1986...so not sure what your going on about, good luck finding much of anything from anyone for the 08 and older bikes.
@@sikbaggers 07 ultra ,
Com on bro that is too damn loud how old are you 17? I love your channel but those mufflers are a joke plus no back pressure your losing power!!
glad you enjoy the channel...I think what you meant to say was it is to loud for YOU..really no need to attempt to insult me because I and many others have a different opinion than you on what is "to loud" Not everyone is building their bikes for power either..thats why its called an opinion....everyone builds their bikes how they want it....not how you want it.
Way over priced, if they were cheaper id buy them
They aren't for everyone's budget, i get it...thanks for checking it out!
Good quality cost
How much are these
