This looks so good! I have a tip for the cakes: make a strip of damp paper towel wrapped inside of tin foil to wrap around the cake pans while they bake. Your cakes won't have the dark edges and will come out perfectly! This tip has helped me so much!!

You give me so much inspiration!!! Also, just FYI, things bake at different rates depending on the type of container so that’s probably why the cake in the ceramic pan came out lighter.

Target has 8 inch non stick cake pans for $4! I definitely recommend getting some, it will make your life easier. To make sure you have the same amount of batter in each pan, you can use a digital kitchen scale and zero out the the scale each time you put a new pan on and add the same amount to each pan. Or, you can use a cookie scoop or measuring cup and count out how many scoops per pan. Hope this helps!
You're cake turned out so beautiful!! Just a little helpful information: the reason the one cake layer turned out so much lighter than the other two layers is because of the darkness of the pans! The actual cake pan and springform pan are a darker color which allows for more Browning on the edges, where the ceramic/glass pie plate was white. The white glass allows for some Browning, but not as much as the darker pans!
Hey Kristin! Here’s a baking tip that I learned from my grandma! When taking the cakes out of the pan and placing them on the cooling rack, place the top part of the cooling rack on top of the cake pan and then flip it over! That way it comes out easier and you don’t have to worry about it coming apart or you dropping it because you’re using your hand to hold it in place. ♥️♥️♥️
