Why is there still no Roky Erickson in the Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame ? I really don't get it, man. He is one of the biggest legends in the whole rock history and inspired so many people out there who are already in the hall of fame. He was the singer of the first ever "psychedelic rock" band "The 13th Floor Elevators" and in my opinion he surely needs a place in the Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame and if not it's just a shame.

The did reunite at Live 8... That was the last concert with pink Floyd's 4 main members, its been pro shot and it is beautiful to actually see them all enjoy playing together.
Was the sound engineer drunk at the time? Great live performers, very poor 1 channel sound. I would have been ashamed to upload this without at least mono correction for the two channels. Abysmal.
They uploaded it that way to avoid getting it taken down for copyright infringement. If you read one of the very first comments, it mentions that that is the only reason this video stays up.

Smashing Pumpkins are my all time favourite band, seen them live a bunch of times know every album bside demo unreleased song, have a Mellon collie tattoo so you know I love them to death But Billy sang wish you were here on the Howard stern show and he butchered it The heart was there but his tone just wasn't
You can tell Billy didn't learn the song very well before playing, rhythm is a bit stiff and some of the chords aren't correct. Still a good performance though.
Dave rode Waters genius into a position of power, got insanely rich and kept pounding out subpar music using the Floyd name. He should have let it sit for a while in early 80’s. We probably would have had more real Floyd in the 90’s.
There is no argument from me....collectively, RW and DG were Top Notch. However, both of those terds haven’t done anything remotely as good since their breakup...

However, to my mind Radio KAOS and Amused to Death are lyrically far superior to anything Roger put into Pink Floyd. If you think of its time, Radio KAOS and Momentary Lapse of Reason were both insanely depressing albums, which makes them stand out all the more with so much upbeat junk from the eighties. But Amused to death is a concept album beyond all concept albums. It is just brilliant through and through. I can't really listen to it much for pleasure, but thats like looking at a really powerful painting. Compare those albums to almost anything any seventies band was putting out by that point. Did ANY of them come up with anything worthwhile? Bowie was pretty much done in eighty three. Rolling stones never had anything new worthwhile, Genesis went from stank to stankier. Yes never got back to its roots. Fleetwood Mac, hell, we had MC Hammer and shit like that. To even criticize them is to forget just how lousy almost all corporate rock is.
