This channel has always followed the TH-cam concept of sharing a passion and there’s no time limit for that. So since I think the Arrma Kraton V2 is worthy of the channel, here’s my take on it. I had a great time with the V1 and now V2 has some much wanted tweaks. But is it absolutely perfect now? There’s some perspectives here that will help you decide if it is and if it’s right for you.

With an aluminum steering bell crank and Hot Racing servo saver, my steering is way tighter! I also put 1 million in the center diff! Definitely helps take away the front tire ballooning!

I have the older one and am glad they added a center diff. The slipper is the only issue I've had with the older one

I put Arrma mojave tires on my maxx v2 6s (and completely upgraded the steering system) it drives very similar to my krayton 6s now. I honestly hated my maxx for years before these mods 😢

Awesome Truck , I've owned mine since release , and man i just love how it feels for sure . I've done some upgrades to it ! , Each and every time i take this out it puts a smile on my face .
Totally agree with you 4s is my sweet spot also , Just a fun and durable performing truck .

Greg awesome review brother you always do such an incredible breakdown on these rc's. For the price I think this is one of the best 4s rigs out there, although I think they have raised the price since the release. A friend of mine has one and literally beats the tires off it , and so far has taken it , now I have to get one. Keep these reviews and videos coming, can't wait to see what's next.

I sold my Kraton 4s v2.5 great truck but I highly recommend the kagama
v2 is nice, the upgrades are a plus 💪🏾💯
I really like the new upgrades , I have the V2, so I purchased the upgrades along with the new chassis , I just love my Kraton, cool video my friend
maybe consider buying the 8s before you put thousands in this one

Nice newish truck from Arrma. I have the v2 from last year and I'm concerned I wont be able to get slipper parts and a replacement chassis for it. Only had it 1 year. Hope the new model don't make last years model odsolete.

Ive got the Green one. Totally agree on the servo saver. I replaced mine with a Kimborough HD one. Huge difference. Great review, great truck!

A new servo saver is a must open the gear case up now that you ran it it will be full of sand and probably took out your bearings get some better sealed bearings for it the gear case jamming up with dirt is a problem

Cool truck. Wish there was a bigger price gap between the 4S and 6S Kraton. Don't have a Kraton yet, thinking I will go straight to the 6S EXB (already have Mojave EXB w/ castle system, Typhon 6S, and Granite 3S). Never tried the 4S Arrma's but there is something to be said for the lightness and fun of the 3S Granite vs the 6S rigs. Battery life seems alot shorter on the 3S though - probably because you are heavier into the throttle more of the time vs 6S rigs.
Yeah, i got the 4s a few years ago, went thru a ton of the problems, spent $200 on upgrades and still broke. Went to the 6s kraton and never looked back. Handles soo much better. Even if you just drive it on 4s. The $100 difference doesnt justify buying the 4s kraton.
I agree that mosat stock RC's need improved servos. I agree in that Kraton is great, yet chassis imo could be stronger. I own both Outcast 4S and Kraton 4S. I broke chassis of Outcast over a month ago after doing a double backflip jump to land on all four on a downsloped lawn, and at same spot a week ago Kraton ripped out the chassis right front arm fromn chassis after perfect landing. I never had a Traxxas break from flawless 20 foot jump landings. X Maxx unmodded imo is kinda slow. My fave unbroken one currently is "Sledge." To each their own. Having said that, as a 4S truck it is amongst my top ten faves. cheers. Arrma cars rock. I just wonder if I should invesat in a aluminum chassis? If u know of where to find stronger parts plkease let me know. Great video. ty. o7

I was in the same boat. 100 more for 6s , when I asked everyone said they'd get the 4s over the 6 so. I have the 4s kraton v2.5❤

@@surfside75 I ended up getting the 6s Notorious when it was on sale on Amazon for 475$ CAD. No regrets and I have been beating on it. Think I might get a 4s Kraton tho haha
I’ve broken my chassis already. The spot where the hinge pin meets the chassis is a little weak. I’ve actually broken a lot of parts on it already, but being plastic, they are very cheap. I’d say it’s fairly easy to wrench on.

I didn’t see the sway bars on this truck both of my v2 trucks have them front and back I’m wondering if the 2.5 doesn’t get them
Would you recommend this over 6S version… I’m also looking at Typhon 6S… aghhh the decisions are hard. Already have Rival Mt10… the RC bug is dangerous

I hope v3 of the 4s line has better hinge pin support. On chassis #3 myself on the Outcast 4s v2.5. I am very hard on stuff but im not the only one whos broken in the same way
I broke my hinge pin support on my Kraton 4s v2.5 and got a new chassis with the M2C hinge pin braces and pins. You need a 4mm drill bit to lengthen the support holes but it actually helps hold them better making the truck tougher! RC4US has a video on it.

If you’re thinking Big Jumps- Kraton. Off-roading- Mojave.
That design is just maxed out imo. Too much leverage on that plastic chassis and it’s just a pain when that breaks and you gotta do chassis swap

The Kraton is a much bigger and heavier truck than the Vorteks

Lmao. What 4s 10th scale Traxxas cost less than this? You might get a 2s 2wd Rustler or 16th e revo for less but that's it.

My Xray mini truggy is a blast no matter what I’m doing with it. 4.5t motor helps it rip.
What is a servo saver?
Spring activated servo horn which connects to the wheels. Saves the servo, but many find them to be too soft so removal is needed and they use a normal servo horn.
