Your channel really does one of best jobs breaking down and explaining a vehicle. Arrma did their customers and fans a huge favor by releasing these. I bought the Kraton for my son and an Outcast for me. We just love them.
This is another great review.I really enjoyed it. The tests on dirt and dirt jumps were great. It would be interesting at the skateparks. I think of anything breaks with will be the wing. On eighth scale buggies the wings get replaced often. It will be interesting to see how it holds up after many runs. On some of the Arrmas I have seen tests where the shock ends pull out. But, this seems to be a great car. I was impressed the way it handled. Thanks for sharing.
Long term durability will be interesting for sure. This looks like it has the latest Arrma improvements that the bigger cars will inherit. Strengthened wing, wheelie bar, arm body and chassis support with rubber.
The 4s and 8s Arrma's lack droop screws, likely the main reason the shock rod ends pull out. The shocks are forced to be suspension stops on those. A bad hit during a tumble will exert too much force to the shock causing the rod end to rip out. I have had the same issues with my Redcat Kaiju, which also has no droop screws. The 8s Arrma's do have provisions for droop screws but for reasons unknown, Arrma decided not to install them.
It's an amazing truck! 40-50 packs in and haven't broken a single thing except a center drive shaft that got worn down by a stuck rock and eventually broke. It's seriously a sick car. The only change I did make was dropping a sensored Hobbywing combo in there because I dislike the jerkiness of sensorless setups. Now it's butter smooth and it doesn't even get warm, somehow.
Nice review! The 4s line looks great, though my Kraton 6S was $475 on sale...IMO these should be around the $430 mark to give them an undeniable "buy me" spot.
Arrma is in a league all its own. I had the V1 and loved it. But it had it's issues. Now I will have this new version and see the difference. Great 👍🏻 review 👌 #Arrma4life
Enjoyed the video. Nice truck for sure. I'm liking these Arrmas! Had to buy the Outcast v2 and it's a champ! Always good information so, I'll be watching.
I may have figured out the servo issue on Arrma Outcast 4s V2. So I turned those black guards on the front shocks to face away from the drive shaft and now it’s turning almost on a dime. I’ve had mine for about 5 months and the turning radius was always bad. I saw the wear on the drive shaft where those guard were so I just lifted the spring and now have them facing away from the drive shaft and now it’s awesome. I mean that has to be it because I haven’t changed it from stock at all. Let me know if it works for you and if it does just give me a shout out on a video. Good luck, I hope it works for you. Bill O’Leary….🤙🏻
Correct about the 1/8 scale,i bought this yesterday same colour, put it next to my 1/8scale hpi vorza 4.6 and its the same size good video, greetings from 🇬🇧
A really good review. I'm on the fence with this. Saw Razor RC crack the chassis on his 4s Kraton at the same BMX park. Looks like the world outside the US won't see these for 3 months or more so I've go plenty of time to wait.
Arrma tougher and overbuilt like from the V1 they listen to feedback. Other companies don’t they just make them wider or add lights to get kids to buy. Common sense Arrma is Number 1 period. They have the widest range of R/C’s also. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great review and thank you. I’ve been trying to decide between the Outcast and Kraton. I have both 6s EXB and love them. I really enjoy the outcast but I may use the 4s for more track and some jumps so your input helped make my decision to order the Kraton 4s. Now I need to find a good BMX park. That place looks great? Where is that BMX park located?
Great video! Love the side by side comparisons.. really shows how important power to weight ratio is. The 4s walks all over the 6s Kraton in smaller spaces. I'm surprised how easily the 4s Kraton wheelies.. not a good thing in my opinion, but easily remedied now that Arrma has put a center diff in these. If the durability holds up, the V 2.5 4s Arrma's are easily the class of the field. Maxx is great, overpriced by at least $100 though. Sketer? Well, I don't know why it really exists. It's just an overweight 1/8 scale buggy in my opinion.
During the crashes section, you recommend putting some kind of plastic reinforcement. Can you expand on that? Do you mean like making your own? If so, something that covers the entire underside? Thanks.
I personally love the 4s cars , I have 1/5th scale to but my go to is the 4s cars . East to transport , don’t need 2 batteries to run and most of us have 8s stuff so we have lots of batteries. They rip close to as hard just not the crazy torque , your not tearing your yard to hell . Not heavy just the best of all the worlds in my opinion . I still buy all the cars though lol just love 4s!!!!
I preordered one of these and the decided to cancel after a month of waiting, the bought a Typhon 6s. I already have the Typhon 3s and figured it was the same plastic everything. Still want a monster truck basher though.
The Outcast V2 is about 2 inches shorter in wheelbase. That makes it rotate a lot more and is good as a stunt truck. Most folks are better off with the Kraton IMHO.
Outcast is the king stunt basher, if you want to launch it all day go with the outcast. If you want to race and a little mix of jumps kraton is faster and more stable
Cant wait for the shootout but I was impressed that it can hang with the 6s Kraton but I'm torn I really want the Losi king sling so i will have to hold out on the 4s outcast for another time.
I've seen vids of the 4s Arrmas on a 3s lipo and they still go really well. I have the MT10 and it's a tank. Has lasted better than my 6s Notorious but it's small and light. The 4s Kraton looks awesome.

I appreciate that! Congrats on your rigs!
the plates on the body to stop the grind where the front body clips mount
Last two RC s I picked up based on your videos.... slash ultimate...and now the Arrma 4s👍😁just ordered one.
Best compliment ever. You will not be disappointed.

Arrma has got me again that looks like a lot of fun. I have the Fireteam & Mojave so it would fit right in.
Yeah, goldilocks size

Thanks for the share. They continue to improve and that’s key!
I own many Traxxas rigs and I'm really digging Arrma nowadays.
@@johnlujan8706 my sentiments exactly. This is my next car. I have 3 Traxxas. That’s enough. Time for Arrma to have a chance
Thanks for the great review! I just got the Kraton 8s and now my kids want something, so I am thinking about a couple Kraton 4s for them.
Good choice! I think the 4s is more durable. Beefy and not enough weight to break itself of the differentials.
My wife has the aqua 4s I've got the red 6s, those are our fav bashers by far, price and performance unmatched
Thanks for another excellent review Francis!
Right on. Stepping up my game now!
Excellent review. Just wish we had parks in the UK like you do over there !!
I see I see. I should appreciate our parks and jump areas a lot more.
There aluminum chassi Seffner for the bottom side of the chassi to keep it from cracking
These Arma look very well designed and built, very durable and drivable. Great factory
They are! They've stepped up their game on this one.
@@RCReviewChannel what next??
4s is about as much battery money I can stand spending . The maintenance costs grow with battery size . This is a winner .
Exactly!!!! 6s vehicles tend to rip themselves apart. 8s.... only the Xmaxx is actually durable.
Enjoyed the video. Nice truck for sure. I'm liking these Arrmas! Had to buy the Outcast v2 and it's a champ! Always good information so, I'll be watching.
Great video very informative like how you show the size differences brings everything home so much better
I went with the outcast 4s, I have the tlr typhon for racing and track that kills it. I may have to pick up the kraton just cause lol
you're a lucky man!

Do you have an opinion on the V2.5?
Correct about the 1/8 scale,i bought this yesterday same colour, put it next to my 1/8scale hpi vorza 4.6 and its the same size good video, greetings from 🇬🇧
What do you think of the servo? I like the esc and motor, but GD can't Arrma put a decent servo in it's vehicles for once??
Seems ok for now. I bet it's the same as the 6s vehicle and this is lighter. We'll upgrade and see if we can sense a difference.
A really good review. I'm on the fence with this. Saw Razor RC crack the chassis on his 4s Kraton at the same BMX park. Looks like the world outside the US won't see these for 3 months or more so I've go plenty of time to wait.
Yeah, I'm very impressed so far. I live near Razor RC and he knows what he's doing for sure. But he does massive jumps all session long. :)
Sweet, been wondering about this one!
It's been a gem so far. So stable and powerful. And most important... fun.
Your vanquish RTR video made me go buy it,,,this video is about to do the same

Great video i just ordered the new mojave 4s and for my second rc car im thinking this one or the v2 max omg any suggestions lol
Awesome vid bro it's really a sick car man with that body as well looks so good
You do good reviews! Will you be doing a review on the Protek 1K servo in the Xmaxx anytime soon?
Actually yes, that's about to enter the operating room!
this looks great! how has it lasted? is it worth a purchase?
Your review style is very good. You seem humble and honest, you remind me of a Buddhist I know. Keep up the great work!

I think they hit the mark now with this one.

I just got the 6s v5, OMG what step up from other RC’s
Would you be so kind to tell me the ground clearance (measurement) right out of the box for the Kraton 4s v2?
That thing does look good... 👍
To protect the frame, it's all about the M2C Racing chassis bar

Can the reverse speed be limited it full power when you go in to reverse can it be limited to 50% in the esc

It sure is. You're a lucky man.
Are you the MTBR guy?

Cant wait for the shootout but I was impressed that it can hang with the 6s Kraton but I'm torn I really want the Losi king sling so i will have to hold out on the 4s outcast for another time.
King Sling looks crazy. Are those locked diffs?
@@RCReviewChannel na but they do put some heavy Diff fluid in the center.
Which is a better buy….Outcast 4s V2 or Kraton 4s V2?
Kraton 4s for all around. Outcast has a shorter wheelbase and is good for flips and stunts
This truck is so fun!
Looks like the same bash spot as Razor RC. And he's broken 3 of these chassis there.
For $100 more i can have the 6s, but i want the 4s. Advice anyone?
Cool those are the same jumps that razor rc goes to nice
Yes, we live close by. We've been rc'ing together recently.
The Rival MT10 at $130 cheaper - though it’s 3s not 4s. Or is the 3s not even comparable?

The comparable one is the Rival MT8 at $510. We'll be putting them against each other head to head. Anyone have bets on the outcome?
@@RCReviewChannel yep, the MT8 will break a suspension arm or steering knuckle while the Kraton will remain unbroken.
@@TheflyingkiwiRC yeah, our MT8 ran into the side of a jump and sheared off the suspension arm too easily
Hey! RRC.yeah! really useful . 👏
Thank you. Spent some quality time producing this. All work! :)
I do I where a basher, that would be my choice. Also bought the last version to “race” my buddy with.
Just a couple 'friendly' laps.
I already broke mine in half lol. I made a video on it.

I dont know how americans get the max so cheap. So bloody lucky. In australia the kraton v4 is $750 and the maxv2 is $1200.
Born and raised here, these models are. Not too much taxes and middlemen.
Super 👍 good
Thank you
