The Scouring Vook series is being written now I think a book or 2 has been done but going through revisions before they get the go ahead . After reading all the Herasy and most recent 40k over the years I can’t wait to get into that . I hope their is a better choice of stories ,no filler, all hits I can dream lol

Custodians guard the palace for months or years without moving. Don't their hair and beard gets huge and messy under their helmet? I can digest the fact that they don't pee or poo for long time as everything gets absorbed into their body because of super digestive system but hair and beard gonna be a problem! 👀
Such trivial things as hair growth have been accounted for, for such as thing as too long of hair will not stop the first born to fulfill their duty.
No women trouble too
The custodian guard has a single brother who takes each helmet off and shaves and cut every piece of hair on a custodian
No, only the Companions and Keepers need to do that shit. Through i think Keepers do have to patrol from time to time
Normal Custodians move around to perform their duties.
There are reasons that those positions require the best even among the superhuman warriors of Custodians.
Even for them, sitting still for years, decades or even a century while ready to spring to action at anytime is not easy.
Add on top of that are the psychic inferno around the Throne or hellish conditions in the Dark cells.
The Captain General and Keeper Captain need to mindful of rotation
I feel like those in the throne room just have their hair fry off due to the intense light and heat coming from the emperor and golden throne.

The Custodes are the pinnacle of the human fighting abilities before they reach the status of truly demigods sons of the Emperor, and there is no doubt that they will slain anything that even looks threatening to the direction of the Emperor.
Except for the fact that they literally had ONE JOB and failed at it miserably.
Phenomenal video and the Custodes Watchers of the Throne series is one of the best 40K out there.

To cast away 9k out of 10,000 custodes, he so called human webway. They're being slaughtered in Eldar city of callistall and many knights and titans. Waste.
Having 10k custodes ready to fight on suface if Terra ....it would've have lasted 59 days. Plot armor is a biotcg.. valdor rage quit. Then the iron shovels turned into a leather daddy outfit in black leather s&m outfits. To grieve for millennium long darkness with their lord.

You left out the fact that the custodians that boarded the vengeful spirit with the emperor were actually tainted and turned by Horus, and they not only attacked the emperor but he was forced to kill almost all of them that had accompanied him!
So yes not only did he have to fight his son who was all warped Juiced up, but he had to fight his own bodyguards so ain't that just a bitch?
It weighed very heavily on his mind and pained him greatly for every single one of them he had to slay. The Big E was not having a good day that day.

Awesome vid. I once heard that if you drape a tank in a camo net to hide it, all you get is a camo net that looks like a tank. So, regarding the eyes of the emperor, I still dont get how you hide or normalise a 12 foot demi chad by sticking a cloak over him and hoping no-one looks.

I would love to read some novels that follow a unit of custodes that go out and capture traitors and whatever else they can find to bring back for the blood games. Traitor marines crapping themselves as they get captured alive by the golden boys would be wholesome

Beneath the palace there are highly advanced gene and alchemy labs that have workers who follow the emperors instructions that he left behind on how to craft one. Many labour and die to craft a single one.

Hmm, the henchmen of the would be god in making. The person, that took "fake it until you make it" on galactic scale, and is succeeding as we speak. The upstart pretender, who stole the light from the gods, and now try to become a god.
In the end, Horus was correct, it seems.(not for the reason to attack big E, but to attack and try to end his reign) Regardless of outcome, people, humans would have started the worship of the new god, the Emperor of mankind..
And I should add, they did nothing during the reign of blood, and why should they? As the widespread enforcement of the godhood of him, was ramping up.
