Exceptions are rare and few, like Valdor and Russ that liked each other a lot and acted like bros, and it went bad, since that was the reason why Valdor was able to convince Russ to attack Prospero, which Russ was reluctant to do.

The custodian Heinrich Cavilus! For real though if Henry Cavill doesn't play as Constantine Valdor in the prime series, I'll be in my feelings a bit. Valdors story is great, cover the full imperium timeline up to current 40k and is open ended currently. It's the perfect character to portray on the screen.

One of my favorite things in 40k is it's slow power creep. You start out with a lowly PDF soldier with an autogun, than a guardsmen, than 50 different flavors of sci fi supersoldier, and then, with the custodes, it starts to hit straight superheroes
