Yes, that is part of the books Rynn's World by Steve Parker. Fits into the middle of the story. Worth a read if you are interested in the Crimson Fist. While Pedro Kantor and Captain Cortez are the main focus for the story, a good number of other chapter members have parts in the story.
"For there is no shame in failure or strife, only in refusing to endure them." Alexis Polux dealt with a lot, but he always pushed through with determination and duty. His chapter carries both his and Rogal Dorn's strong will.
“Alike to Kantor, you will face many trials in your lifetime, and most, you will never see coming. Just know that misfortune is inevitable and the true mark of a man is how he chooses to endure them. For there is no shame in failure or strife; Only in refusing to endure them” Thought that should be immortalized here for all to see.
The masculine urge to never surrender to despair despite how everything around you is burning, and to be a paragon of humanity no matter what. The Crimson Fists are Dorn's humanity made manifest.
Pedro Kantor helping that mother is the first bit of information I ever heard of the Crimson Fists and I knew immediately that they were to be one of my all time favorite Chapters. The fact that Alexis Pollux was the first Chapter Master for them cemented it further. The Legacy of Dorn is in safe hands with them
Kantor is a total badass. Never kneeling to some inner demon, he rose time and again to answer the calls against the green skins. Guilliman got there almost too late, but by the blood of Dorn did they prove their worth.
@@kharnthebetrayer1575 I did, was good, but the black and white think on the first half and that the character of the steellegion look like cadian (btw. cadian are my number 2 regiment, armageddon is 1 tough) was very disturbing. and I found the space marines too slow, but I can live with that.
Pedro Kantor: the character who gives a spark of hope to the setting. That little tiny speck of humanity in the horrid mass of just plain horrible. That hope, that humanity is essential to keeping the setting from just being nothing but horrible. You need hope and you need a speck of light to provide guidance. Otherwise it is nihilistic. The moment where Pedro steps up and affirms he is human first and he picks her up and carries her is beautiful. A tiny sparkle of decency that elevates everything around it. Loved this episode.. that rare glimpse of humanity almost had me in tears. Honestly it's kind of weird that so many astartes see humans as a burden, or curse, or even less than they are.. it's amazing to me, seeing that they seem to forget they are human as well... ( Even if heavily augmented and transformed)
I think that, without their Primarchs to remind them why they exist at all - to be humanities saviors - they've forgotten a good deal of what it means to be human.
YES! my favorite chapter master, from my favorite space marine book. they've got a lot more depth to them than most, which tend to follow one way of thinking or another. and his fatherly relationship with his head serf, and his regret over not telling him, that he saw him as a son, is one of the most underrated moments for space marines. but i'm prattling and i haven't even seen the video yet
I wasn't exactly a fan of the Space Marines due to their overall popularity, that was till I discovered The Crimson Fists. The colors red and blue put together I've always liked as a kid and seeing them on Astartes armor caught my attention to the Chapter. When discovering Pedro Kantor, seeing his art work and his tabletop modal, I wanted to learn more. After learning about the Chapter's army composition, their tactics, and their heroic deeds, I had found "The" Chapter for my Space Marine Army on the tabletop. A family member of mine managed to get the Pedro Kantor modal from last year's GW's made to order runs for my birthday and commissioned an expert painter to paint the modal as beautiful as the art that portrays the Chapter Master perfectly. Now all that's left to do, is to get myself a copy of the book "Rynn's World." "For The Emperor!" "For The Lord Helblade!!" "For The Crimson Fists!!!"
Wow! With stories like this one, Pedro has climbed to the Top of my list of Top 5 primarchs Dead or Alive. Not leaving those behind to surely be slaughtered, he chose to bring them along with them and no doubt that the Lady bareing the heavy load of carrying her children definitely weighed heavy on his Hearts. Definition of a Real One indeed
For all the glory the adeptus astartes won in cataclismic battles, this moment is where their courage shine the brightest, the pinacle of humanity defiance and purest heroism. Far far from Rynn world, on his golden throne, at this very moment, the Emperor smiles.
Service is its own reward when protecting the emperor's people. Pedro example is something we as sons of the imperium should strive to become. Honorable and compassionate.
Without a shadow of a doubt, this was one of the most fantastic stories I've ever heard in my life, incredible and touching at the same time, amazingly grand.
I love Pedro because he never let go of his humanity he understands his duty and role as a space marine but also understands the purpose of the Adeptus Astartes they were created to safe guard humanity and he is easily in the top 5 chapter masters and even top 5 warriors of the space marines he is as quoted a whirlwind of death moves with incredible speed, agility and precision, power fists are pretty bulky and encumberedsum but pedro wields it as if wielding a power sword and he is credited as being Alexis Polux reborn
I agree - the Crimson Fists would be a great chapter to focus on with that 40k show that's in the works, even though I'm sure we'll get something centered around the Ultramarines instead.
Might have to paint up some of these battle brothers, along with the Astral Knights that you've inspired me to do. Another fantastic vox transmission, Remembrancer. Keep being great.
I still have to say it though. I find it funny in Rynns world when the crimson fists are like "our primarch would not hide behind walls. He would take the fight to the enemy." And I'm just like, you sure about that homie?
Rynn's world is one of my absolute favorite novels. I love that the entire book is essentially Crimson Fists constantly adhering that they have to prioritize Astartes lives but cant help their innate humanity and keep saving Civilians and assisting guardsmen alike. Cortez and Pedros back and forth was very enjoyable to follow, was it jest or tense. Pedro:"You have lost your arm!" Cortez:"No I havent, It's right there!"
This is why I love the astartes. They are weapons, gene forged super humans. But above all they are human, and when they show their humanity, is when they shine the most in this dark galaxy
Holy crap I got chills.the vivid image of the kids fear and yet hope that these giant figures were either saving them Or putting them out of their misery. To only be lifted and saved. And moving at speeds that one can only dream of.
Oh, I trully love the moral lessons in the end of the videos. This is why I occupy myself with the 40k lore. It is like neo-mythology. Rynns world is easily one of my favorite 40k books, if not my number 1. Pedro showing his humanity alone is the reason why I'm a crimson fist fan.
Yeh that was a great excerpt
He should’ve been a Salamander, most of any other chapter would’ve left all humans behind to meet whatever fate there was .
Pedro...do you like mariachi music?
*Combi bolter sounds*
Fair enough, but what happened to that woman and her children after Kantor carried them to safety? Is this story continued somewhere else?! Thanks!

Glad I'm not the only one, that literally nearly brought me to tears
Same here!!!.. everytime!
Same here

The last sentences from Pedro make even the Salamanders gasp in awe. What a leader he is!
