I just made mine work good enough. You called it man. People always got something to say. I used the same kind of stereo and didn’t break the bank. Like you said. Fuck em.
@hillbillyimports31 according to everyone I've talked says, I do. The radio I'm putting in is a dual multimedia receiver with bluetooth. Model xdvd269bt. I don't want to do like a friend did, messed up his computer system. I have a 04 chevy silverado 1500 ls no steering controls except air bag and horn.
@hillbillyimports31 Thank you. I don't have any of those options on my steering wheel anyway . I've talked to every Chevy person I could even blistered dealership for an answer. The original radio that came in it is a first year 04. I'm guessing it was made in 03. I hope you understand, I'm about braindead from calling people. I can work on old-school vehicles, no later than the middle 70's before computers, lol.
I just love how you say what color wires you're hooking up so everyone knows what to do. SMH did you sense my sarcasm? This is a terrible help video. 🤬
It kind of sounds like something is causing the fuse on the back of the aftermarket unit to blow. If you ever decide to get another aftermarket unit, you might want to get that checked out first.
I’m glad you didn’t have everything necessary. An ACTUAL REAL VIDEO
This is real life. Lol
What if you have a factory amp?

Hey, as long as it fits, and works, you're good, and you did it yourself. Good job bro! 👍
What's the P/N on the adapter? Cut off in the video. Thanks!
Even tho you got a big fail at the beginning. Your video was a big help.
You’ll have that, glad it helped
The intro set the tone
Did you connect the cigarette lighter wire (that goes into the AC control unit) to the ignition switch of the new harness?
I tried to like This and my radio had a bad static noise did you have any of that
Now, how did you get around the anti-theft on a factory radio removal and replace with a new non stock radio . Without a code.
You don’t need a code with an aftermarket radio, the code is for the stock radio only.

@@TheHOWLER45 if you want steering wheel controls you’ll need the interface, you can pick them up at any auto parts store.
@@TheHOWLER45 but it’s not going to mess up the computer by any means, the code is only for the stock radio, I can assure you.

I ran that red wire into a fuse tapper put two 20s in it and im not getting nothing. It is plugged into auxiliary power
It’s always the most top of line package they made lmao I literally have the base bone stock and can hardly find that trim in a video 😂
Can i do away with the interlock system when installing aftermarket stereo?
You should be able too
For some reason my after market radio turns on but I get no sound. You have any suggestions?
If your truck has a factory amp then you need to use the “remote” wire to power up the amp
If your truck has factory bose system , disconnect the hardness going to the amp and connect to that hardness and you”ll have sound
Which color wire is the cigarette lighter wire
@@thecrazymxguy I can’t remember, maybe orange?
Thanks bud thats the power!!! @hillbillyimports31
@@thecrazymxguy pull that out of thin air haha, couldn’t quite remember but glad you got it !
Do you happen to have a link for that wiring harness in the box?
I just got it at Walmart but I can post a link for you if you need it
@@hillbillyimports31 post the link please

Brother I just saw your comment 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 basically yes.
do the information buttons on the steering wheel still work? not the audio ones just the other ones? or none?
No, you’d need the interface adapter which is pretty expensive so of course I decided not to do it

Lmfao "actually it was this hand" 😅😂😅
